After reading about NY NOW 2024 Winter Market, I’m captivated by the array of passionate female-owned brands and the focus on women’s wellness. The emphasis on accessories for creating inviting spaces resonates with me, especially the mention of candles and diffusers. As a lover of fragrances, I’m particularly excited about LAFCO New York’s offerings, especially the Limited Edition Chamomile Lavender & Amber Black Vanilla Signature Candle Duo. Winning this set would not only elevate my space but also indulge my senses in luxurious scents. Can’t wait to experience the ambiance these candles will create!

  • It’s exciting to hear that so many woman-owned brands are thriving. I’ve long been a fan of Elena Margot’s products. -CA, USA

  • (Colorado, USA) I sure would have loved to visit the Market Event. What a group of fantastic businesses and people! I was surprised to discover that TokyoMilk was founded by a Denverite! That is a brand that I “discovered” several years ago – their scents are so unique and delightful! Glasshouse is a business that looks quite intriguing to me, as I lived in Australia several years ago and was inspired by the scents and sights as well. I’ll have to check them out and their packaging is so chic!

  • There is Hernando doing the tough job again. Love to see the new products. Do not enter me in the giveaway. I cannot do candles as I have a cat with asthma and another cat who does stupid things like burns her paws on wood stoves. I did enjoy he article though!

  • I’m not a big user of scented products for the home beyond a few sturdy candles, but the NOW 2024 Winter Market sounds like a really fun event. LAFCO’s hand-blown glass stood out, TOCCA Lucia sounds like a terrific warm-weather wear, the Tokyo Milk packaging sounds like a winner, I love the typography of the Free Yourself display, and Monsillage The Haute Route features an inspired list of notes. Would love to try it. Thanks for the coverage, Hernando.

    I’m in the continental USA.

  • Free yourself really appeals to me as does Bloomi
Thank you Hetnando for a wonderful article
    The Lafco candles sound amazing

  • I would have loved to attend the NY NOW Winter Market. I loved reading that there was a large focus on women’s wellness!

I have always been a fan of LAFCO; the Wild Honeysuckle candle sounds beautiful. I also love that the glass vessels can be reused once the candle is gone; they are perfect containers for perfume travel sprays and decants!

I’ve enjoyed products from Antica Farmacista, but I have not tried their Elderflower collection. The scent sounds gorgeous and perfect for spring.

Tocca is a company that I have been with since the beginning. I still cherish my bottles of Brigitte and Margaux, but I have enjoyed other scents, as well. I have not tried Lucia yet, but it sounds absolutely beautiful with the notes of citrus, fig, rose water, and woods. I have also been meaning to purchase some candles from Tocca.

Tokyo Milk has always been an intriguing line, in addition to Margot Elena’s other lines. I’ve enjoyed numerous perfumes and body products from Tokyo Milk over the years. I have not tried Ice Queen, but just based on the name it sounds like a must-try for me.

I have one Apotheke candle right now, but I have wanted to try others from the brand. I love that the founder is committed to giving back!

Glasshouse is a brand that I’ve seen numerous times, but I’ve never actually purchased a candle from them! I really must remedy that.

Agraria is another brand that I’ve seen, but have not tried. The Bitter Orange fragrance sounds wonderful. I have always loved the design of their diffusers, so perhaps a Bitter Orange diffuser is in my future.

Cayla Gray is completely new to me, but I enjoyed reading the story behind the company’s inception. Petals sounds quite beautiful with its notes of jasmine, sandalwood, and cashmere.

EMMOTIV is another completely new to me brand, but I am very intrigued. The Calm fragrance is calling my name.

Wow, The Haute Route by Monsillage sounds wonderful! I love wintergreen, so I’m always ecstatic when I see it in a fragrance.

Thank you for the great breakdown of the NY NOW Winter Market, Hernando! I enjoyed reading about your excursion. I am noticing a trend of “calm, grounded, serene, centered”-type products and fragrances, which does not surprise me. I expect to see this for a while following 2020; it is much needed and appreciated. I would love the opportunity to own two beautiful candles from LAFCO. Chamomile Lavender and Amber Black Vanilla are two I have sniffed cold, but have never lit! Thank you, LAFCO NEW YORK, for the generous giveaway. I am located in the USA.

Thanks for the wonderful writeup Hernando! Really interesting to see all these brands. I loved hearing about Cayla Gray’s story.

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • I love the plethora of female-owned brands and how the love of fragrance wasn’t only about things we can spray on ourselves but also included things to perfume our environments and atmospheres. I LOVE candles and the idea of layering candles as I would layer perfumes is so cool!
