Dusita Paris Perfumes and its founder Pissara Umavijani are so intricately linked and entwined with Paris, the city of the realisation of her dreams to establish a perfume house and do homage to her father, the Thai poet Montri Umavijani. Here in this beautiful city, she has carved out a brand that stands strongly in the world of artistic perfumery, seamlessly translating one art to another.  Under her vision, Parfums Dusita’s collection is a faceted jewel of cross-cultural stories, love for Paris and the devotional honouring of family for almost a decade.

No matter how things have changed,

the human heart will beat

for warmth and love

such have been expressed

in his poetry

I have had the pleasure of connecting with Pissara at various perfume events and also when I find myself in Paris, which is obligatory as I live in France. In Cannes last year, I had been invited to join Pissara and her team at their apartment for an evening’s cocktail and alongside the existing collection of Dusita Parfums, I was able to have a preview of an upcoming release, a gourmand addition to the collection, it captivated me then and still hadn’t even been finished. Released in April 2025, Parfums Dusita Tonka Latte is a sublime homage, not only to Paris and its ingrained elegance but also a knowing glance to the French flair, savoir-faire and love of delicious aromas and dishes. The name ‘Latte’ alludes to the milky and creamy aspects of this creation which exudes comfort and mouthwatering velvety textural nuances.

Honeyed warmth greets the skin, swathing me in tender drifts of cocooning, like the vapour rising from that cup of long-awaited solace at the end of a long day, here is the sensation of arriving home, the comfort of arriving in a place where you innately belong. It generates warmth and a sense of relaxation on flesh, one we achieve when we repose in surroundings that nourish us. Tonka Latte encapsulates all those moments of quiet indulgence, when we pause with those we love and trust in a kerbside café and over warm drinks, rising on slightly chilly spring airs, indulge in a French pastry or two and converse lightly with those whose company uplifts us, whose conversation is a touch on our soul. Tonka Latte revels and swirls in its milky depths, patterns of creamy layers interleaved with a soft, fudge caramel that drips in measured slow-motion viscosity melting into skin with a vanilla deftly sprinkled. Tonka Bean is undoubtedly the star, the art of enveloping depth and spicy delicate vanillic strands. This accompanying presence endures the day long and unfolds like the misty tendrils of that familiar warm beverage, transparent Indian Jasmine is part of this recipe of contentment, a masterly micro-dose that lifts and adds a touch of exoticism enfolded in Parisian refinement.

Parfums Dusita Tonka Latte sits like a close friend about your shoulders, gently yet surely confident, like a finest gauze, silken white chocolate floats in delicious swathes unveiling the occasional toasted almond. Here is a quintessential Parisian afternoon respite, a sidewalk café where friends mingle and pause to pass the time, to watch the chic and bohemian passersby and indulge in a sweet indulgence, each mouthful, delicious and satisfying, the combination of gourmand pleasure and assured company, Tonka Latte embraces it all and yet always remains the epitome of French style.

Pissara Umavijani Pre-Launch of Tonka Latte, Esxence 2025

Pissara Umavijani Pre-Launch of Tonka Latte, Esxence 2025 by Danu-Seith-Fyr

Pissara has masterfully bought together elements of French life, their immense love of sweet morsels, the café culture, the moments spent to pause and just partake of simple delights, she created it with a deft hand and Parisian chic. A gentle waft of Benzoin caresses a Musk, softer murmurings of lullaby notes held suspended in airy lofts, whispering of the luxury of moments shared, simple, pleasurable moments. It is lightheaded, airy and mouthwatering without undue sweetness, the gauzy, filtered light that nudges you from sleep, the warmth of that hot drink in your hands, the scent of it as it touches your lips, the creamy interior of a fine French pastry. I dream of light vanilla whipped cream over white chocolate mousse on a bed of almond and tonka scented biscuits, I think I need to speak with my Michelin starred friend. Having got your appetites roaring it is however such an elegant wear and this is Pissara’s forte, this interplay of deep stories and the golden thread of her love for Paris, Parfums Dusita Tonka she has excelled in capturing the essence of personal moments in a refined style.  Chapeau Madame.

  • Wow, what a beautiful review! It truly transported me to a cozy Parisian café. Tonka Latte sounds absolutely heavenly — that mix of milk, tonka, and honey is just pure comfort in a bottle. I’ve always loved Splendiris from Dusita — it’s such a poetic iris, soft yet complex, and it seems like Tonka Latte carries that same emotional depth. I can’t wait to try it, especially for those chilly evenings when you just want to feel wrapped up in a sweet, warm hug!

  • Omg this sounds like the ultimate cozy gourmand! I’m already obsessed and I haven’t even smelled it yet haha. Dusita’s La Douceur de Siam is my all-time fave, it’s like this dreamy, tropical-floral fantasy, so I have super high hopes for Tonka Latte too. I love that it’s not overly sweet but still feels luxurious. Definitely adding this one to my wishlist!

This description of Tonka Latte really captures everything I admire about Pissara’s work — that balance between emotional storytelling and olfactory craftsmanship. My personal favorite from Dusita has always been Issara, with its refined aromatic fougère soul. It seems like Tonka Latte takes a similarly layered approach but with a gourmand twist, weaving comfort, nostalgia, and Parisian flair into one composition. I’m genuinely intrigued to experience how the white chocolate, tonka, and benzoin interplay over time.

Reading this gave me so many feelings! Dusita perfumes always remind me of special moments in life. Erawan is the one that stole my heart its green milky sweetness feels like home to me. And now Tonka Latte sounds like it will be another memory-maker: warm drinks, pastries, good conversations… exactly the kind of perfume that makes you smile even on grey days. I’m really looking forward to trying it soon!

Tonka Latte?? Say no more, I’m SOLD. This review basically had me drooling halfway through — white chocolate, caramel, tonka, AND a café vibe?? I’m a sucker for gourmands, and my fave Dusita so far is Oudh Infini because I love my perfumes to be bold and dramatic (lol). But honestly, Tonka Latte sounds like the cuddly, soft side I didn’t even know I needed. Can’t wait to sniff this deliciousness!!

This review truly transported me to a cozy Parisian afternoon. The way Tonka Latte is described — with its comforting milk, caramel, tonka, almond, and a whisper of jasmine — sounds absolutely dreamy and sophisticated. I love perfumes that evoke both warmth and elegance without being cloying, and this sounds like it would wrap around the wearer like a gentle hug. My favorite Dusita perfume so far is Pelagis for its poetic sea vibe, and I would be thrilled to experience Tonka Latte.

This really is wonderful and luxurious. that illustrated work and the thought of what kind of scent and feeling will come from it. I would love to be that person sipping a beverage so warming and delightful as a latte. That extra foamy goodness and just be taken away from all the things going around me. A scent I would love to wear. From the US

Forgot to mention before! My favourite Dusita perfume is La Rhapsodie Noir.
Best luck to all! I live in the EU

  • First I find Pissara’s artwork really beautiful. Such talent ! About the fragrance, the combination of white chocolate and almond got my full attention, especially because indian jasmine is also mentioned and I wonder how this exotic floral note goes into this mouthwatering gourmand… My favorite Dusita perfume is a tie between Le Pavillon d’Or and Moonlight in Chiangmai. I live in France. Have a great weekend, all !

  • I like the note list and enjoy all manner of gourmands. Having not experienced anything from this house I have no favorite. US

  • A gourmand from Dusita! This is something I have been wanting to smell for a long time! I have always thought Pissara has a very delicate, almost ephemeral way of creating fragrances. Very feminine, breezy and, if I may say so, intellectual. Reading about a gourmand of French inspiration coming from her hands ( / nose) now makes me hope that it’s gonna be the same style, soft and delicate, applied to this category which can sometimes be a bit too heavy, dense or raw. The creamy milk and tonka combo, with touches of almond, white chocolate and vanilla and a waft of jasmine to liven it all up, it all sounds dreamy.
    My favorite Dusita is Splendiris.

  • What caught my eye is how Tonka Latte hits that creamy café vibe without tipping into sugar overload—that’s exactly what I want in a gourmand. My go-to Dusita is Issara for its crisp pine-tobacco combo. Checking in from Nevada.

Remarkably enjoyable article , bravo to Danu Seith-Fyr
I learned about Pissara Umavijani ,  how much Danu love Parfums Dusita , and also about one exceptional fragrances like Tonka Latte.
So maybe a week long trip to Paris, fine French pastry,  luxury moments shared in addition to the core of barista made latte and sugared almonds …. Then throw in that quality tonka scented biscuits and I just know this is heavenly. I need Tonka Latte like ASAP lol.
I’m not familiar with Parfums Dusita but thanks to Danu Seith-Fyr i feel tempted now .

I have only seen praise for Parfums Dusita since both this fragrance was announced and released. I am not too familiar with this house but I am aware of their existence and some of its fragrances. I already know this would be my favorite from the house as I am a gourmand liver first and foremost. I’m reading the notes and picturing myself in Paris on an afternoon sipping coffee and having a pastry. A mouthwatering affair. I’m located in the US.

  • Captivating introduction to Parfums Dusita and enthusiastic review by Danu Seith-Fyr , job well done .I can’t help but to be impressed how Pissara Umavijani was able to achieve so much , and she gave the hard task of making Tonka Latte so French.
I believe the challenge was to wrap the fragrance into a delicious, mysterious, and opulent Parisian coat.
I find Tonka Latte delightful for the delicious start, caramel and passion on one part , and the golden thread of Pissara Umavijani love for Paris the other.
I’m exposed to niche perfumery but not yet to Parfums Dusita. Other than wanting to win Tonka Latte , I’d also love to visit Parfums Dusita headquarter , it will be so much fun

I love how the things worked out for Pissara Umavijani, the knowledgeable and humble lady who founded Parfums Dusita. Through a lot of hard work and dedication she was able to expand and develop to such a level , that now fragrance enthusiasts are trembling when there’s a new release.
Voting in favor upscale niche perfumery, Parfums Dusita, comforting approaches and aesthetics , and people mindsets like Pissara Umavijani and Danu Seith-Fyr.
In Tonka Latte I like the elements of French lifestyle , the love for sweet morsels , and the dance between the Parisian appeal and Thai poetic essence . Everything in Tonka Latte i find rich and inviting , even the white chocolate is part of the composition.
Parfums Dusita is one of my favorite brands, intricate fragrances with unique DNA , always original and with lovely bottles. Splendiris I own, my favorite that’s why I was patiently anticipating Tonka Latte review on Cafleurebon. Issara is great too

  • I never ever thought I’d share such a memory on Cafleurebon, but thanks to Danu I remembered how on my last birthday in a French coffee shop, while caring the plate … I dropped the just ordered Latte and Crème caramel on my dress 🙂
Danu Seith-Fyr immediately transported me to the funny experience I had back then.
I’m now beyond curious about Parfums Dusita Tonka Latte and the way it evolves. The contrast between the delicious latte , tonka and caramel , the elegance , day and night, innocence and temptation is to die for.I believe Pissara Umavijani has carefully chosen every single raw material , so the fragrance can tell a different and more unique latte story.
Thanks to Danu Seith-Fyr review i started thinking about all kinds of warm and tempting Paris moments I’d like to experience in the Summer.I also know I’d feel special and desired wearing Tonka Latte , I just do.
My favorite Parfums Dusita is Rosarine

~ When Spring comes up to Paris , the humblest mortal alive must feel like he dwells in Paradise
    – Henry Miller
The famous American writer and novelist spent around a decade of his life in Paris , the tone one of his best novels Black Spring matches Danu Seith-Fyr article. I love the cross-cultural stories from Thailand to Paris and back.
I have a feeling during the process of creating Tonka Latte Pissara Umavijani had multiple of flavorful French and Thai brainstorming moments , from the golden threadof her love for Paris, her home country and the father poetry.
Cozy latte mixed with caramel , white chocolate and honey , to Danu Seith-Fyr words an elegant wear .
My takeaway about Tonka Latte is the overall sense of refinery and heritage . It appeals to me that Pissara Umavijani infused the fragrance with his respect for both the French and Thai culture and traditions.
In light of Danu Seith-Fyr review I have no doubts Tonka Latte is stunning.
    Many thanks , EU
