#Perfumetiktok has a current obsession with 2017’s Delina, but there exists an unsung gem within the collection…Parfums de Marly Cassili (co-created by the legendary perfumer Calice Becker). During a recent chat with Michelyn, we both agreed that Cassili captures the essence of a stunning fruity chypre, and wondered why this beauty is under the radar. This is a scent that dances on the skin like a scoop of mouthwatering sorbet, enticing the senses with its harmonious symphony of notes and deserves much more attention. Let’s dive right in.

.Every fragrance tells a story; this hidden treasure from Parfums de Marly is no exception. Imagine standing on a pristine shoreline, the soft sand beneath your feet, and a gentle sea breeze caressing your skin. Your eyes are feasting on the idyllic scene of a coastal retreat, where the tranquil melody of ocean waves meets the luscious aromas of ripe peaches (a total ghost accord) which is plum with a buttery texture of ylang-ylang. It is an olfactory homage to those fleeting moments of sheer delight that linger in memory, forever evoking a sense of blissful escape.

Upon the first delicate spritz, the fragrance unfolds like a vibrant overture, opening with the effervescent notes of tart red currants, which create a zingy pulpiness, followed by overripe plums. Juicy and succulent, these fruity accords encapsulate the essence of summer’s bounty, creating an aura of joy and vivacity. The scent journey then gracefully transitions, as if the sun-kissed peach orchards blend seamlessly into the salty embrace of the frangipani and fleshy plumeria blooms, kissed by the ocean air. The vanilla and sandalwood notes add a creamy sweetness, like a dollop of velvety sorbet topped with toasted tonka beans. At the heart of Parfums de Marly Cassili lies a harmonious duet between mimosa and petalia©, which brings forth its rich, and exotic character, lending a luscious depth to the scent. Its inclusion is akin to a soft, luxurious fabric that envelops the wearer in sophistication and allure. Complementing ylang-ylang’s opulence is the delicate interplay of salty frangipani.

Notes: Red Currant, Bulgarian Rose, Frangipani, Plum Accord, Mimosa Absolute, Plumeria, Petalia© Givaudan (which is described as having a fresh, fruity, diffusive and rose-peony aroma) Sandalwood, Tonka Beans, Vanilla Pod.

Cassili by Parfums de Marly is a beautiful fruity fragrance. I love that she mentions the hidden peach note. It is not listed in the fragrance notes but it leaves a beautiful creamy peachy scent

  • kusudamakitten98 says:

This perfume sounds magical! Olya’s description of Cassili by Parfums de Marly makes it sound so elegant — I would love to experience the graceful transition between the ocean air, the peach orchards, and the flowering ylang-ylang (which is one of my favorite notes)! The fragrance sounds like a wonderful masterpiece.

“Parfums de Marly Cassili is the interplay between nature’s bounty and human artistry”.

This is what sparked my interest the most because it really sold the perfume as something special – almost magical. The perfume also sounds like it smells divine and as someone who cannot afford expensive perfumes like a the ones from Parfums de Marly, it would be so sweet to win this glorious scent!

    I am from the USA.

  • AliceinWonderland says:

I had the opportunity to smell it at a fragrance counter and I literally haven’t stopped thinking about it ever since. As someone who is obsessed with fruity notes – this fragrance checked every box for me. And your description captured the essence of the fragrance perfectly “playful and sophisticated”. It would be amazing to have Cassili join Delina in my wardrobe of fragrances.

  • Olya’s review makes the fruity aspects of Casilli almost tangible, and very enticing. I particularly enjoyed her description of the fruits’ coming together as a representation of “summer’s bounty”, which feels so accurate to me in not only the ephemeral nature of summer fruits but also of this fragrance. Casilli is my favorite “women’s” fragrance from PdM and one I agree is so underrated! I live in IL. Thank you!

  • Olya always delivers great reviews.
Cassili got me by surprise tbh. I am a huge fan of Parfums de Marly since I tried Delina.
From the fruity opening, Cassili gives me something I adore. I love how this fragrance encapsulates the summer’s bounty. The mimosa and petalia just add to have this perfect fragrance. I really hope to win this one.

  • Never even heard of Cassili so where have I been. Although I am a fan of Delina (everyone is) I really want to win for the peachy plum salty frangipani

Also appreciate that Calice Becker made it. I live in Washington State
But if I get to Beverly Hills I would love to visit the new Parfums de Marly store

  • I love Olya’s review for Cassili. The hidden gem. Love the fruity notes. Parfums de Marly Cassili is the interplay between nature’s bounty and human artistry.Thank you for this Chance USA

  • FragranceIsMe says:

Olya’s reviews always draw me in, igniting my olfactory imagination. This review of Cassili is no different. The juiciness of the fruit accords, to the mid sorbet-like journey, finally moving towards the fruity chypre drydown. Oh my Goodness!!! Where have you been hiding all this time. Thank you for making me aware of this gem. Looking forward to experiencing this wonderful creation from Parfums De Marly.

  • Parfums de Marly became a top notch brand in such a short period of time , one of the best out there, to my taste of course.
Cassili sounds so nice , Calice Becker cooked quite a few gourmands i love.
Olya take on the fragrance made me think of making Peach Ricotta Layer Cake , with Macerated Plums on top. Enjoying the Cake with a scoop on Red Currant Sorbet is what I’m thinking at the moment , such a joyful experience.
Personally I know Parfums de Marly for Herod first , every time it makes me feel like I’m THE king of the castle. It’s a 50/50 toss up for me between Herod and Oajan, for my favorite Parfums de Marly fragrance.
Appreciate the review, and the giveaway campaign

This is what sparked my interest: “ Parfums de Marly Cassili has her own style and is playful and sophisticated.” This perfectly describes my experience with the fragrance because it is such a rich creamy fruit but has depth and complexity that develops over hours. I love this one!

  • ianbradleyandrews says:

I love peach so that excites me about this. I also love calice beckets work so this appears to me. I’d love to win and live in Indiana.

  • Olya has described a mouth-watering scent that puts me in mind of long gone Adolpho. There’s fruit that screeches and fruit that sings – this one sounds like it sings. The feminine packaging is gorgeous. Thanks for the opportunity to try this beauty. I live in NY.

  • Angela Marks says:

I love Delina and Valaya. From the description and the notes, I think I would love this one too!

  • This unsung gem sounds mouthwatering according to Olya’s description. Thanks for sharing it with us. I would love to try it and live in the USA.

  • Olya describes this perfume as stunning fruity chypre with the essence of summer’s bounty. And what could be better than to plunge into a carefree holiday atmosphere!
Besides that I am a huge fan of Parfums de Marly. So far I have Delina, Oriana and Valaya and I’m obsessed with them.

  • I would love to smell this on my lady! I am a huge PDM fan in general and I don’t think I’ve ever smelled one I didn’t like. Thanks to Olya and PDM. New Jersey, USA

  • This review brought a twinkle in my eyes as I just enjoying some peach flavored yogurt before opening this review which is rather well written. I love the smell of a juicy ripe peach and the fact that it seems to subtly play in Cassili has me hooked. I also know PDM for putting out bangers with one of my first loves from the house being Herod and later finding others including Delina that I could not resist. I’m in USA

  • danceforjoy says:

I am very interested in peach and ylang ylang notes lately, but it’s hard to find fragrances with these notes that maintain the sophistication and complexity that I have come to appreciate. Olya’s description has convinced me that Parfums de Marley may have accomplished this in Cassili! And, truth be told, I am more interested in scents that go “under the radar”… Thank you for this generous draw. I live in NH, USA.

  • This sounds yummy. A scoop of fruity sorbet with peach and plum notes, tropical flowers and a vanilla sandalwood base make for a perfect end of summer fragrance. I’m really interested in trying the Givaudin synthetic, Petalia. Peony is a favorite flower of mine and I haven’t encountered a realistic peony note yet. I’m in the US.

  • tanikow74@gmail.com says:

The combination of notes makes this very interesting and it is definitely one that I would love to own in my collection. It will be my first Parfums De Marley that I would own if this were gifted to me.

  • Parfums de Marly Cassili is refined fruity floral , centered around delicious fruits , frangipani and positive emotions. Judging by Olya Bar review it’s also a transitional weather fragrance ,versatile, and easy to wear , from day time family gatherings , to going out with friends , or weddings .Long lasting fragrances are always welcome , and I think all Parfums de Marly fall in the same category , same thing I’m expecting from Cassili. I love the way Olya portrayed Cassili in the drydown
“As the fragrance settles on the skin, the sorbet-like opening notes evolve into a soft, lingering trail of a fruity chypre, finally showing its true colors”
I also find the contrast between the peachy like bottle , and the silver cap .
Oajan is my favorite Parfums de Marly , but Delina Exclusif is breathing in Oajan neck all the time. Both are staples for me.
    Thanks for the draw

Thank you for the lovely review of Parfums de Marly Cassili, Olya!
I could really use a blissful escape, and it sounds like one has been captured inside the bottle of Cassili. Plum, Ylang-ylang…oh goodness, sign me up, yum! The juicy accords that are pronounced just sound so divine. Then blooming into salty ocean air to move to creamy sandalwood and vanilla? Fabulous!
I would so love to get this on my skin!
I am John, from Minnesota USA!

  • This truly is a hidden gem because all these years, I’ve never even tested it out! It sounds lovely! I love that there is a rose-peony note (Petalia) in it. That gives such a delicate, feminine touch to any fragrance. I would love to add this to my collection!
    I live in the USA.

  • I have passed by this beautiful bottle in the Saks fragrance department several times ignoring her for a spritz of her better know sister, Delina. Olya’s poetry has made me want to go run out and give this beauty of a bottle a sniff. “ It is an olfactory homage to those fleeting moments of sheer delight that linger in memory, forever evoking a sense of blissful escape.” I think we could all use a fragrant escape!

  • Peaches and plums are my favorite fruit notes in perfumery and it’s so fun to see them in a scent together! I’d love to win a bottle of Cassili. Thanks for the opportunity! I’m in MN, USA

  • Amanda32828 says:

I enjoyed reading this article. It truly brings to my attention the beauty of Cassili. Sincerely speaking I have been infatuated, first by Delina, later by Oriana and haven’t really taken the time to experience Cassili at all. Thinking back, in any of my two previous Parfums de Marly purchases ( Delina Exclusif and Oriana) I haven’t asked neither have I smelled Cassili. Cassili has been non-existent for me until now.
This article have really sparked my curiosity for this hidden gem. Thank you for all the valuable information. Commenting from Orlando, Fl. USA.

  • What an amazing story teller. To be able to describe a perfume with such an immersive reading experience . My heart fluttered <3 I want the forgotten sister ! bless a Chicago girl with this experience in a bottle. 🙂

  • In love with the descriptions! Peach scents are always so amazing but sometimes hard to make them a bit more grown up smelling, so Casili looks really incredible

  • I have tried Layton from PdM and was very impressed. This sounds very different to Layton, but the quality standard set by PdM seems matched, if not exceeded. The juicy, tart, zingy, fruity and sweet aspects has me intrigued, and thus I would like to win this.

I have an address in the US.

  • It’s funny to me how a scent so wonderfully described can slip right by at the perfume counter.
The red currant plum and mimosa sound amazing.
Thanks for the review and the giveaways.
Hope the do the immersive experience at some point.

  • Olya’s reviews are always fragrance poetry! What sparked my interest is her beautiful mouthwatering description of Cassili. “Playful and sophisticated” “This is a scent that dances on the skin like a scoop of mouthwatering sorbet.” Fruity florals are my favorite. Would love to have this hidden gem by PDM. Thank you! TX, USA

  • Michael Prince says:

What sparks my interest based on Olya’s review of Cassili is how I agree with Olya’s sentiment regarding how much attention Delina gets in the fragrance community and deservedly so, but Cassili often flies under the radar. Legendary perfumer Calice Becker did an incredible job with Cassili a fruity chypre is a type of DNA I really gravitate towards and Olya does an incredible job with her detailed review. I am from the USA.

  • I have sampled / smelled all Parfims De Marly , and Initio Parfums fragrances, excluding the brand new , and hyped up on social media Althaïr .
My opinion of Cassili is both similar, but also in a way slightly different, compared to what Olya is getting.
Fruity shypre , fruity floral, gourmand..call it what you want to call it , Cassili is no doubt a beautiful , well composed basket full of fruits and joyful emotions. I can see the sorbet comparison Olya made , the peaches , plum are quite sugary, and on my skin the fragrance is well dipping into gourmands territory.
The magic to me happens in the heart and base , when Cassili transforms into a gorgeous fruity woody gem , with at least to me well pronounced sandalwood, and rose.
Like Olya said , it’s worth it, every single spritz .If I have to rate my favorite Parfums de Marly fragrances:
    1. Habdan , it’s UNREAL how good it is…to me at least. One of my all time favorite fragrances.
    2. Oajan
    3. Herod

  • Cassili sounds like a perfect wear for bright spring and summer days. I’d guess the red currant note sharpens the abundance of fruits, and along with seaside florals, keeps the whole design from becoming too saccharine. But the highlight sounds like the mimosa and petalia heart floating over a warm tonka base. Lovely bottle too!

    I’m in the USA.

  • Smelled this for the first time a few weeks ago in one of the fragrance shops here in Dallas and I was smitten. My girl tried it on and we were both in love. I love a good peach fragrance and like Oyla says it smells just like a peach sorbet. I have no clue why I have not seen any hype around this fragrance but since I plan on getting it for her I hope it does not start up now lol. This notes just are juicy and succulent and I literally kept trying to smell her as we went about our day. Gotta add this to her collection for sure

    I live in Dallas, Tx

  • IvanVelikov says:

When I think Parfums de Marly , I always think Pegasus . Sure PdM do have all kinds of quality fragrances like Oajan , Herod , Layton , Greenley , the Exclusif stars , and Haltane, still I do not get how regular Pegasus is getting so very little attention. As much as I like the other I’ve mentioned , Pegasus I cherish most. Smells fantastic , lasts over 10 hours on skin , and projects beyond strong – fills up a room. Compliments galore too. During the years I bought not one , or two but 4 125ml bottles , Pegasus will forever be in my collection.
Cassili I’ve never smelled before, I like the fruits, especially the plums , the gelato , salty frangipani, and the whole uplifting balance achieved by the perfumer.
I’d pair Cassili with unforgettable Coral Pink three piece suit. Bright and bold, i love this look , and combination for a cheerful tropical destination, or a wedding.
Thank you Olya, Parfums de Marly, and Fine Fragrances

  • “#Perfumetiktok has a current obsession with 2017’s Delina, but there exists an unsung gem within the collection…Parfums de Marly Cassili (co-created by the legendary perfumer Calice Becker).”

I agree 100% , Cassili is e beauty, and unappreciated. I love Olya tranquil review, and the fact there’s nothing overbearing in Cassili , but the blend is really smooth , and uplifting. I almost imagined eating a peaches sorbet or gelato , and relaxing by the pool.
Love both of my Delina bottles , I mean i have the regular one for a long time, and Exclusif version for around a year.I also bought Byerley twice for my dad’s birthdays during the years ,and he absolutely loves it.
My favorite Parfums de Marly fragrance is Delina Exclusive
    Thank you for the opportunity

  • It’s been awhile since I tested this one. I don’t recall plumeria blossoms kissed by the ocean air. Dancing on the skin like sorbet, mmmm. The photos make me happy, especially viewing them while it is still summer. Thanks for the chance. USA.

  • I love of the description of a lush fruity perfume mixed with elements of the sea and frangipani. I have yet to own a Parfums de Marley, this one sounds like a beautiful place to start. in TX.

  • Regis Monkton says:

I’d like to try Parfums de Marly Cassili. I’m very intrigued to try it when Olya describes it by saying “the sorbet-like opening notes evolve into a soft, lingering trail of a fruity chypre” and when she says “A true unsung perfume gem in the collection, if you ask us. Worth every spritz.” I can like fruity chypres and fruity fougeres. I’m most interested in seeing what the mimosa and petalia combination is like. I live in the U.S.A.

  • I love a fruity chypre, and I love peach notes, so I’d love to smell Casilli by Parfums de Marly. Thanks for the review and giveaway!

Thanks for the nice review Olya.

I love scents that open up with a peach note, one of my favourite in perfumery. The use of red juicy fruits, effusive florals and a chypre structure, certainly make this fragrance one that would well all round, especially to lift the spirits in the dark days of winter.

    Cheers from WI, USA
