  • Steven’s video did a good job of describing the video and has intrigued me to sample the perfume. Moon is my favorite Julien Rasquinet perfume, it works well during the colder months in Canada.

  • Saad bin Shahid says:

I love the Navitus old perfumes like Intimus, XO Brandy and this one also looks great

  • Juan Martín Luis says:

I went to far writing to much about this article that when I was posting it had expired I will not write much again all I can say is that I have subscribe and will be following Steven, the last thing in my previous writing was that I have used Vetiver eau de toilette by Guerlain for more than 35 years.

  • John McDonald says:

    Beautiful bottle nice spray.
    I love a lavender fragrance.
My favorite Julien Rasquinet fragrance is Royal Oud by Creed ( its the only Creed I would own).

Hi there, I’m a Costarican Citizen but with an Appartment in NY where permanently my son lives. I love Steven review in terms that the analysis of a scent has to include not only the accords but the recommended use of the Fragance. It’s not recommended for a Doctor on his Hospital labor hours carry a gourmand fragance nor an Attorney, as I am, to carry a beast mode oriental fougere in Court. So this is the main reason that you need an expert to provide the right advise as Steven does, and specifically on this one, it will be very welcome for my work in NY area and in Costa Rica. My favorite scents of the Brand Navitus are Navus, Primas, Lautus and Intimus, the latter for Dates.

  • Thanks for the introduction Michelyn and thank you Steven for the in depth review of Eau Debonaire!

Lavender-centric fragrances are my go-to scents for the office.
Whether I’m suited up or in jeans for casual Friday, I like to smell classy and professional and to me Lavender enhances that style and attitude.

I have gone through a discovery set of Navitus and when Steven mentioned the smoothness of Lautus I know what he means. Well blended, polished scents that lasted a lot longer than I expected.
I haven’t tried any of the latest offerings, but Eau Debonaire sounds like a perfect scent for me!

    Greetings from the UK!

  • Definitely would like to try this one. I love the last release Steven & Bowtie FragranceGuy did with Serenade & Aubade which is known as Lyrik now. Navitus Parfums has some amazing fragrances to offer. Beautiful bottles & presentation as well.

  • You had me at modern elegance. That’s what I want all my fragrances to exude. My favorite from Rasquinet would have to be Creed’s Royal Oud. Thank you for the draw! US.

  • I love Steven’s passion for fragrances and his in-depth review. I am from Massachusetts and my favorite Julien Rasquinet fragrance is Creed Royal Oud. My favorite Navitus fragrance is Aweigh

  • ianbradleyandrews says:

I appreciate Steven’s mention of strength and wearability. It’s nice to know where perfumes are applicable. My favorite by Julian is the moon. I live in Indiana.

  • What a great review, by Steven! I love lavender and citrus scents and would be thrilled to win a bottle of this beautiful creation. I loved how Steven breaks down all aspects of the perfume and also gives credit to the perfumer by name. He really sold me on this particular perfume and on the brand in general. I live in North Hollywood, California and although I’ve never tried this brand, I am very much looking forward to learning more about this house and hopefully purchasing something from them soon. Thank you for the chance to win a bottle! 🙂

  • Steven is one of the best, great description of the new addition to the Navitus brand. My favorite Navitus is Virtus. My favorite Julien Rasquinet fragrance is Royal Oud. NV, USA.

  • Sorohan Adriana says:

I love touberose and when I see a touberose I want it. I am curious about this touberose. I am from Bucharest Romania Europe

  • According to Steven, Navitus Parfums Eau Debonaire is great lavender-centric fragrance to wear for any occasion, in any season and is classic without being dated. Modern elegance.-Michelyn Camen, Editor-in Chief

Notes for Navitus Parfums Eau Debonaire include: Sicilian Bergamot, Madagascan pink pepper, Italian petitgrain citronnier, Indian jasmin sambac absolute, Indian tuberose, Tunisian orange flower, French lavender absolute, silky musk accord, Siam benzoin, Ambroxan and Oakmoss. I am intrigued by the notes especially Lavender. A great job by Steven to break down this fragrance. My favourite perfume from Julien Rasquinet is The Moon an absolute delight in winter. Thanks a million from the United Kingdom

I am intrigued by the notes and the perfumer is probably my favourite. My favourite perfume by Julien Rasquinet is Royal Oud. Thanks a lot from the UK

  • Out of all the new releases from Navitus, this was the one I was very much looking forward to smelling. Being a fan of old-school gentlemanly lavender scents with petitgrain openings, it’s a no-brainer for me. But like Steven mentioned, it’s the addition of the other florals that sound like they give the scent that extra classic appeal. Aweigh has a fantasticly long-lasting lavender and I expect this one is no different. Really chuffed about the performance in the heat. Loving Steven’s attire for the review too. Very fitting! Favourite Julien Rasquinet perfume has always been HdP’s Fidelis. Superb use of cardamom and coffee in a perfume. From Canada.

  • French Lavender is wonderful. Citrus fruits and woody notes are perfect for the office. Thank you Steven for this great review! I would love to help promote this fragrance!

  • shanonabston says:

I liked the description of the fragrance and once he said it’s best for warm weather I now want it even more.

  • What an interesting introduction by Michelyn!!
    Love Steven videos!
I find pyramid of this perfume very interesting – bergamot, pink pepper, white florals with musk and oakmoss.
    Haven’t tried any from Navitus.

  • dandreclayton@gmail.com says:

Steve’s nose is next level and he ain’t lying this fragrance is simply beautiful

  • Eric Enzman says:

Steven is always thorough and methodical in the scent breakdowns – Love it!! Big fan of classic perfumery and fougere’s , so it would be amazing to win! Also this would be my first Navitus

  • Devan L Mitchell says:

I love the idea of this one. They’ve all appealed to me but this one definitely goes with a suit and I’m excited to try it!

  • Bennie Johnson says:

First of all Steve always does a great job in describing, rating, and characterizing fragrances. This video was no exception. Although, all the notes sound intriguing is the lavender for me. Keep up the great work! I’m in MD.

  • Julien Rasquinet has such an impressive career, for his relatively young age . His best creation i think is Masque Milano Russian Tea. To me the fragrance smells like Freshly baked Traybake Cake with Raspberries , and cup of Yunnan Black Tea with cinnamon and lime on the side.
Reading Michelyn introduction, and Steven’s review of Eau Debonaire both made me think of making Rosemary lavender cake, and eating it alone with bergamot juice.
There are two Navitus Parfums I have , Vivamor and Serenade .
Vivamor smells a bit like Pineapple Upside Down Cake with saffron.
Serenade reminds me of Chocolate Ganache Cognac Cake, with candied orange peel on top.
Appreciate Michelyn , and her Julien Rasquinet introduction, Steven’s review, and the giveaway campaign
    USA

  • Great job by Steven as always on this review of Navitus Parfums Eau Debonaire. Like that it is unique despite classic notes like citrus, lavender, etc. I love Sartorial because of its classic lavender scent and this review by Steven reminds me of it. Liked his comment about Navitus Parfums Eau Debonaire being classy and classic, without being dated. I am a Redolessence subscriber. Thanks for the review and draw. From the USA.

  • Thank you so much for the review Steven! This really sounds like a classic yet mordern style fragrance – I usually really enjoy citrus/tuberose/lavender/oakmoss, so this sounds like a MUST try for me! My favorite Julien Rasquinet fragrance would have to be Seahorse from Zoologist. It’s such a quirky scent. I do not have a favorite Navitus, as I have not tried any yet!
    Thank you from Canada!

  • Eau Debonaire has an exquisitely sourced list of notes. The quality is obvious from the provenance and the astounding 25% concentration. I always found lavender centric perfumes to be cooling and thus perfect for warmer weather. Favorite Julien Rasquinet fragrance is Creed Iris Tuberose. I’m in MD, USA.

  • Steven does an excellent job. I also like the clean smell of citrus like he states and living in Hot Tennessee this scent will work for most of the year well. This is a new house discovery for me and I checked out their webpage and they have an excellent sale on their discovery kits currently. This would be an excellent bottle for me. Thank you. USA

  • Steven always comes through with the perfect review of fragrances. The fact that he mentions the French Lavendar so strongly lets me know that the fragrance is nice and gentlemanly along with the oak moss and orange blossom and tuberose. He says its very professional, and dressed up type of smell and that is something that I need to add to my collection. I actually have the other two fragrances that came out with this one so adding the third to complete the collection would be great.

My favorite fragrance from Julien Rasquinet is Russian Tea from Masque Milano. I have a decant of it and I am in love!! Definitely have it on my hitlist to buy.

    I live in Dallas, TX

  • Is it just me, or Julien Rasquinet looks very much like a twin brother of Frodo from Lord of the Rings ?
I really like a few of his fragrances Russian Tea, Masque Milano, the Russian country side , the black tea, birch , trees , woodiness, a touch of incense , it’s awesome .
Navitus Aubade (the new name is Lyrik) should count too (collab with Dominique Ropion) , and Jusbox Green Bubble , and Golden Serenade
I’d love to win Eau Debonaire , fresh, professional, and versatile lavender scent.
In my husband and mine, mostly shared fragrance collection, there’s already 3 Navitus fragrances Aubade ( Lyrik) , The Embrace and Navus, and I want to add another one.
If you’re interested , Bow Tie Fragrance Guy said on his YouTube channel that Aubade name was changed to Lyric, because some other company happened to own the rights for “Aubade” name .
    Thanks for the draw
    USA

  • As usual Steven did a great job with his review. I haven’t tried ed any Navitus fragrances yet but hopefully I will soon.

  • Wow, that forest green bottle is striking! Eau Debonaire has terrific presentation; classy, and slightly gilded, but not overly showy. A like the sound of the citrus opening on this one, along with the reliable lavender heart, and I always enjoy an oakmoss base. It sounds very wearable. Thanks for the review, Steven.

I haven’t had a chance to try any of Julien Rasquinet’s work or any Navitus Parfums fragrances, but hope to soon. I’m in the midwest, USA.

  • Unlike some other trendy perfumers , Julien Rasquinet portfolio is not overly big , but he already composed a few modern day masterpieces.
My favorite fragrances of his , I love all of:
    1. The Moon by Frederic Malle
    2. Russian Tea by Masque Milano , my scent of the day
    3. Tabac Rose by BDK Parfums
    4. Cuir Velours Naomi Goodsir
    5. Royal Oud by Creed
    6. Golden Serenade by Jusbox
I truly believe one day he would be considered a legendary perfumer, considering the fact that the current best , in my opinion of course, Frédéric Malle, Masque Milano, BDK Parfums, Creed and Jusbox fragrances are his creations!!!!
My favorite Navitus Parfums fragrances alone are:
    1. Soir Exclusif
    2. Serenade/Empyreal
    3. Exralt Nuit/The Embrace
Unfortunately I have no experience with Julien Rasquinet previous work with Navitus, I’ll have to try the ones Steven mentioned, Champagne Royale and Creme Impériale.
Eau Debonaire I find attractive because of the wearability, and modern take on lavender, and it’s Julien Rasquinet we’re talking
All profiles I already follow, @waltherp99bg
    Thanks a lot

  • He really made it sound much more modern than Lautus which i really enjoy so this sounds like another great scent. Royal Oud from Creed is my absolute favorite by Julien followed a close second by Enclave. I live in Lincolnville Maine. Thank you!

  • Regis Monkton says:

I haven’t yet tried anything which was made by Julien Rasquinet, but I recently got the discovery set for the company Jusbox and I plan to start sampling them soon. I still haven’t tried anything yet from Navitus Parfums but I plan to sample their fragrance releases eventually. I think that it’s interesting that Rasquinet was a protege of Pierre Bourdon. I love lavender: it’s one of my favorite notes/ingredients in perfumery, and I appreciate hearing about a lavender-centric fragrance which is classic without being dated. I know that Darian Hill makes some good fragrance suggestions so I believe that he would have good taste as a creative director. I live in the U.S.A.

  • I love lavander fragrances and I find them timeless fragrances.
This one looks like I would adore, because of its cleanless and dominant pressence.
Steven, aka Redolessence is one of my favorite youtubers because he explains fragrances like no other.
My favorite Julien Rasquinet perfume is BDK Tabac Rose.
    USA here.
My favorite Navitus Parfums fragrance is Primal

  • IvanVelikov says:

There are two Julien Rasquinet fragrances i like the most , Masque Milano Russian Tea , and Amouage Enclave . I had the pleasure of smelling . The steaming black tea is so strong in a good way, that the fruitiness is almost hidden. In my opinion the fragrance smells smooth, and a bit mature. Amouage Enclave i also i like , it’s green and woody, slightly sweet fragrance, and big plus is the vetiver , one of my favorite notes.
Bow Tie Fragrance Guy always wears suits , “I like to look good, and to smell Amazing” is his YouTube motto , and I feel the same way .
Eau Debonaire I like because it’s not dated lavender, but modernized by Julien Rasquinet with added resins and ambroxan.
Navitus Vivamor i own , it’s versatile, pleasing all year round fragrance I wear on regular basis.
Thank you Michelyn, Steven , Bow Tie Fragrance Guy , and Navitus Parfums

  • Michael Prince says:

I loved Steven’s review of Navitus Parfums Eau Debonaire. Steven illustrates the citrus opening with a floral heart with a polished gentlemanly lavender and oakmoss that’s is so sophisticated and pristine. Julien Rasquinet is a very talented perfumer and I love so many of his creations. My favorite fragrance from him is BDK Parfums Ambre Saffrano. My favorite Navitus Parfums fragrance is Empyreal. I am from the USA.

  • I enjoyed Steven’s review, particularly his description of the lavender note and his analysis that this is a versatile fragrance. My favorite fragrance from Julien Rasquinet is probably Creed Vetiver Geranium. My favorite Navitus Parfum currently is Navus. I live in NY.

  • This was a wonderful review! Steven really has a special way of describing fragrances. I purchased a discovery set for my boyfriend and each and every fragrance smells great on him. I don’t think I’ve ever smelled a fragrance by Julien Rasquinet. But I do love lavender-centered scents on my boyfriend, so I’d be thrilled to win this for him.
    I live in the USA.

  • I would LOVE to add this classy, modern, citrus & lavender fragrance to my collection. Please consider & accept this comment as an entry for this (and any other) giveaway. Thank You.

  • I already have three Navitus Parfums creations, included those inspired by Darian “The Bowtie Fragrance Guy”: Lyric (formerly known as Aubude), Seranade, and Virtus. I am glad this new release Eau Debonaire hasa emerged. I look forward to experiencing it.

  • Steven always give honest reviews. His detailed explanations of this scent is very concise and pulls no punches. Love him. Thanks for all you do. Thank you Cafleurbon for this giveaway.

  • Richard Del Nunzio says:

Thanks so much for this opportunity! Navitus Parfums has been a brand that I have been wanting to try! Also, a great description by the writer of all the different aspects that went into the this creation.

  • richard.delnunzio says:

Please disregard my previous comment, I was not logged into my account.

This sounds like an amazing creation. I love the description about all the contributing factors that went into making this fragrance. It’s also a beautiful thing to see Redolessence promoting Bow Tie Fragrance Guy’s work. Great for the community. Thanks to all!

  • wallygator88 says:

Thanks for the great review Steven. I love the tie.

CFB has written favourably about Julien Rasquinet in the past before.I love the notes in this fragrance. The use of tuberose and jasmine to amp up the floral facets, while using the citruses to reign it in and keep it gentlemanly sounds really nice. Absolutely does not sound like a dated fragrance. It’s also nice that Steven presents his line in such a great manner.

Also the word play in this is quite near.

I have not smelt this house before and would like to. I have also not smelt Julius’s work before but I would love to try the attars that he created for Amouage.

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • Nice video. I really enjoyed the notes breakdown… it sounds rather Dapper. I have not had the pleasure of trying any others from Navitus nor Julien Rasquinet. KY/USA

  • I always love Steve’s passion in his videos. Enclave from Amouage is my favorite Julien Rasquinet perfume. I live in the USA. My favorite Navitus is Absolutio.

  • I know Julien Rasquinet work , definitely not a one dimensional perfumer. Some of his colleagues are good, working with particular raw materials, over and over again , but if they have to create some different type of perfume , they often flop badly.I can vouch he’s good everywhere green, floral, fruity, gourmand fragrances , and so on .
His best work, of course from the fragrances I’ve smelled
    – Mysterious, fruity – and magically smoky , in Russian Tea the Julien Rasquinet mingles crispy wild berries , with smoky wood, dark black tea , and frankincense. The result is magical, one of a kind tea fragrance , and my favorite Masque Milano
    – Edition Rare Fidelis is my favorite Histoires de Parfums , oud, coffee and raspberry. Awesome and kind of underated release . As far as I know Edition Rare is Histories de Parfums upscale line
    – BDK Tabac Rose , sweet rose with tobacco and dark chocolate
Eau Debonaire fresh opening, resins and up to date lavender i find both elegant, and professional. I’m glad Steven reassured us it doesn’t smell like lavender fragrance from the 70s and 80s.
My favorite Navitus Parfums fragrance is Navus , my husband is into Absolutio , and Vivamor . One of our family brands .
    Thank you for the opportunity

  • I always enjoy Steven’s reviews. He really helps me evoke and imagine how a perfume will smell and I find his reviews pretty accurate in helping me decide whether or not I’m likely to enjoy it or not. I also appreciate that he talks about longevity in his reviews and projection.
I don’t actually own any perfumes by him, so I don’t have a favorite, but I’ve wanted to try Russian Tea Masque Fragranze Milano for a while. I live in the USA. Thanks for the giveaway.

  • Michael Anthony Ayers says:

This sounds like a winner fragrance to wear I just recently purchased Navis and Sartorial nuit and they are very nice smelling and classy. You are a very cool and detailed fragrance guide and because of you I have purchased fragrances from your youtube shows.
