Jusbox Green Bubble Review (Julien Rasquinet) + Cannabis Culture Draw

Collage of Jusbox Green Bubble Storyboard, Bob Marley and A Canabis Leaf by MC

If you are a regular reader of ÇaFleureBon, you have noticed we admire the Italian brand Jusbox (pronounced Juice Box-a mashup of “jus” aka perfume and juke box). Marianne Butler and Hernando Courtright attended the USA debut at Bloomingdale’s this past December.  So far we have reviewed Jusbox  No Rules, Beat Cafe, Use/Abuse  Cheeky Smile and Sebastian’s  video review of Black Powder.  Siblings Andrea and Chiara Valdo launched the music inspired collection in 2016 and have chosen rock star perfumers including Dominque RopionAntoine Lie and Julien Rasquinet, (Iris Cendre for Naomi Goodsir , Masque Milano Russian Tea for Alessandro Brun and Riccardo Tedeschi, Andrea Maack Silk, Histoires de Parfums This is Not a Blue Bottle  to name a few) who signed Jusbox Green Bubble.  Each fragrance is based on a musical genre or era, and Jusbox Green Bubble centers on  Reggae music with its connection to Jamaican culture, Rastafarianism and of course cannabis, aka marijuana, "the scent of Jamaican green vegetation and smoky woods meet the intriguing and spiritual memory of incense & magic leaves."  Green Bubble has one of the most realistic marijuana accords we have smelled… so get “high” by spritzing not smoking –Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

What instantly struck me about this is that Bob marley is my favourite artist. I'm listening to satisfy my soul by him as I'mentioned doing this.

I'm so interested in this brand and how music inspires every aspect of it , from the meaning behind the scents to the quirky 78ml size relating to records. I appreciate uniqueness in perfumery and they are succeeding. Sebastian did an incredible job as always conveying how it would smell and relating it to his every day life in San Francisco.

  • Wasim Abdulsamad says:

I love Fragrances with marijuana notes.. and according to this review, its marijuana intensified..

hopefully i get to sample this one day. Nice review btw.

  • tuiu silver says:

Cannabis is a really intriguing note to me… It's green and spicy, and sometimes have a woody undertone to it, so I think it's really interesting to have a fragrance with it as a main note.

I love fruity and green fragrances, and since music is a passion of mine, this definitely caught my attention and appreciation.

The way Sebastian describes the drydown and the spicy/woody nuances is really appealing to me haha.

I would like to join this draw please.

    I'm from US.

  • bigscoundrel says:

The note combination of the marijuana plant with grapefruit and woods sounds very intriguing. Everyone is familiar with Bob Marley's iconic work, but one of my favorite reggae songs "Love is my Religion" is by his son Ziggy Marley.

  • gtabasso says:

I have not tried JusBox but really want to! I think No Woman No Cry is my fave reggae song. I'm in USA.

  • seems very interesting perfume, i would like to try it for sure and the bottle is great ☘️

  • I love the idea of combining music and fragrance as both evoke memories. I got to sample beat cafe the other day and am keen to try more of the line. Sebastian’s review got me thinking this should be a ‚friendly version‘ of black Afghano which I’m looking for. Thanks for the chance to win a bottle of it. Regards from Germany

  • Moses Brooks says:

The idea of the mash up between music and fragrance has my attention and the bottle looks amazing!

  • Very appealing review – and who doesn’t want to get high by spraying without smoking 😉 Besides that I love the idea of using music as an inspiration for scents – would enjoy very much some classical composers or even works treated this way .

  • OMG I've been dying for a legit cannabis scent. I just LOVEEEEEE the smell of nugs. So many different strains so many different terpene/scent profiles and I'm so excited for this to see what this is all about. I'd love to win something like this. Some people like myself just LOVE the scent of cannabis but doesn't want to get high or anything and this is PERFECT. Song of choice is "Rebelution – Safe and Sound (Zion-I Remix)" – Cheers from California <3

  • TBH I never imagined a fragrance with a dominant note of marajuana.

It sound really cool and very interesting re Sebastian’s review. I’d love to try this Perfume here in Ireland I think it would definitively turn heads .

  • I'm a fan of green fragrances, especially during the spring. I think it would really be a fun scent, especially with that zingy grapefruit note. Thanks for the opportunity to sniff! USA

  • Pato Loco says:

I am intrigued by the strong marijuana accord in this release. My favorite reggae song is "Everything's Gonna Be Alright". Cheers from Oregon!

  • Jeremy Francis says:

The note of marijuana in a fragrance is something new to me, and I compelled to find out more about it. And though I don’t smoke weed, I can at least smell like it while I listen to my favorite reggae song “Strangest Thing” by Mr. Easy.

  • Kenneth Garcia says:

I love green fragrances.  Marijuana – very interesting.  I can't wait to smell it.  I would probably totally wear this.  Thanks for the great review!

  • Ron A.G Salmon says:

i was absolutely floored when I heard the words “Inspired by Jamaica”……. As a long time sub to Seb’s channel, since the days of ManLovesCologne, I’ve been loyally following his channel and watching his content.  Truly, when I came across this brand on websites inbthe past, I sorta just yaaaaaaawned as yet another Indie Niche House doing their thing.

However, this content of Marijuana accord, Grapefruit and Wormwood at the top coupled with leathery, honey-sweetened accords and woodsy notes is truly truly compelling and tbh, one if the MORE complex blends I’ve encountered in a very very long time.  This house of Jusbox sounds incredibly creative, artistic and dynamic.  I mean, Kurt Cobain, now Jamaica and paying homage to Reggae music and Bob Marley rolling a big doobie…?!?!  I’m sold- sign-me-up please…

The only only but of oddity for me is:  What’s up with the 78ml bottles‍♂️ …?!?? Someone got a bit confused inbthe measurements…?!?!  No 50ml, no 100, not even 75 guys…?!?  Someone over at juxbox may have been unjesting that Marijuana Accord!!!

wish me luck in this draw guys!  Ron

  • Ron A.G Salmon says:

By the way, forgot a couple things:

    1.  Favourite reggae song:  Bob Marley Redemption Son

    2.  NEVER EVER tried anything from The House of Jusbox

    Ron

  • Great review from Sebastian as always. I have tried Beat Cafe and Live ‘N’ Loud so far and liked them both very much. I would love to give this a try, thanks for the chance. I’m in the EU.

  • audesko1 says:

Wow! Marijuana accord, and grapefruit and green.  Sounds really like spring fragrance.  I love them at this time of year and would love to try.  Haven't sampled any Jusbox.  Would love to!  Thank yo for the chance.   USA

  • Manuel Jimenez says:

Wow! Super interested in trying this one, I hope I win! Never spelled a fragrance with a marijuana note.

Favorite reggae song: "Is this love" by Bob Marley

  • Mike Munger says:

You know what?  I never, ever, ever win anything.   Never.   It's just easier for me to go buy the frag as I woudn't stand a chance in hell to win anyway.

Favorite reggea track:  My Collie Garden   (a track about mj)

Black Afgano, Dunhill Red, Polo Blue, and Green Bubble will all look nice on the same spearate shelf!

Going to Bloomingdale's in LA in the morning!

  • Sebastian’s review made me pull up the cassette tape of Ganja Gun – a killa Marley time. Because who doesn’t want to smell like Ganja?

  • Sebastian has impeccable taste and has helped me make some great fragrance choices. I love reggae and cannabis. Unfortunately I can’t partake in the delicious herb anymore do to work, but sorely miss the aroma. Very interested in seeing if this is a good representation to reminisce of the good old days!

  • Uncle1979 says:

Zingy grapefruit,  marijuana and wormwood- what a start . Saffron,  patchouli,  cedar and honey in the dry down – Sebastian did it again.  I'll try to sample Green Bubble because of this review .

Favorite reggae song- Iron Lion Zion by Bob Marley .

Thank you Sebastian and Cafleurebon .

    USA

  • rufusfragrance says:

As soon as this video popped up in my subscriptions I was intrigued. Sebastian's demeanor seems to belie an affinity for ganja. As a lifelong fan of Reggae and having been the drummie in a Reggae band in Philadelphia for a decade, I can say that my curiousity was piqued immediately. No matter the outcome of this drawing, I will seek out this fragrance if for no other reason than to share it with my Reggae bredran.

As for my favorite songs, it's difficult to say. When performing, my top 3 favorites were Zimbabwe by Bob, Pagan Pay Gone by Midnite, and the Hard Times Riddim, especially the verses by Capleton (That Day Will Come), I Wayne (Living In Love), and Luciano (Silver & Gold). Honorable mention to Barrington Levy's Here I Come.

    Respect.

    One Love.

  • recursivemask says:

Canabis is something I find super interesting. It's not exactly a "nice" smell, which means that it's directly in my wheelhouse. I also love grapefruit, and the herbalness of wormwood means that this is shaping up to be a potential favorite- not that that this could really be a signature scent. Maybe leave it for casual fridays. You do a really job of giving us a great picture of what the scent is, and I'm in the USA.

  • fazalcheema says:

Since Jusbox Green box is inspired by Reggae and Jamaica, it is only fair to have notes like canabis in it. I have not really explored Reggae. I am in US

  • Trying not to miss any Sebastian's review (they are always full of information and enjoyble to watch). After todays video I'm really curios to compare the Green Bubble with the Music Festival by Maison Martin Margiela (which I like a lot!!!). Living in the countryside of central New Jersey, USA.

  • Hello everybody! I must win this perfume for a good cause! It will be a present for my boyfriend! Whom actually is a musician, loves reggae music as an expression of Afrocaribean rythems and also the legacy of Bob Marley as a person and musician. But as a Sebastian mention on the video is the Marijuana accord what I found most interesting, specially because it’s supposed to be very realistic and pared with fresh grapefruit and warm sandalwood. My boyfriend is one of this persons that believe very passionately  that the herb is the ‘Healing of the Nation’ and used it with meditations purposes. So I honestly cannot think in another person more perfect than him to give a try at this  creative fragrances.

  • I think our fav reggae song would be redemption song by Bob Marley! And medication by Damian Marley and Wiz Khalifa is specially appropriate for this fragrance. I haven’t tried jus box but I can’t wait.

  • samjones79 says:

I enjoyed the review and I'm curious how a cannabis fragrance would come across.  I'd love to win a bottle and find out.  My favorite Reggae song is probably One Love by Bob Marley.  I am in the US.

  • Felipe Vazquez says:

Well i love black afgano for the weed note. Cant wait to try this one. Already using feel n chill amazing fragrance.

  • The marijuana smell is what struck me. The one song i like is no woman no cry.

  • This fragrance would remind me of my student years hahah. Even though this doesn’t appeal to me as much as Black Powder and Use/Abuse did in terms of wearability, I’d love to be able to smell (like) it and make some eyebrows rise, lol. I also sort of enjoy the smell of fresh marijuana, and the saffron/honey aspect Seb was talking would amp it up nicely in my opinion. i am not a huge fan or reggae, but I like Bob Marley’s Redemption Song. (Which is not even too much in reggae style either, but I love the message).thanks for the draw, I’m from EU!

  • I love Bob Marley as a song writer, singer and man who through music inspired people and gave hope for better days (oppressed people free themselves) my beloved song of his is "Three little birds".  Unfortunately I have not smell green bubble, but thank you for the lovely review Sebastian as always lovely to hear and learn from you.

    I live in EU, Greece.

  • kylejp86 says:

I love anything cannabis. Due to employment I can not use it but I am a firm believer in all of it's properties. I have lost family due to cancer and also drug addiction and I believe some could have been saved if cannabis was available and better respected and understood. I am new to the fragrance world and slowly but surely getting my feet wet.

  • i love weed but have yet to see it replicated authentically in a fragrance, after trying at least 20 with the note listed

  • samppahoo says:

I am looking forward to smell a realistic cannabis scent. Sebastian seemed very excited about how well the accord was reproduced, so I am guessing it must be good. I have never tried Jusbox perfumes and I hardly listen to any reggae though. Thanks for the draw! I’m from Finland.

  • This sounds so good! I’ve been loving cannabis notes in fragrances lately and I’m super interested in this one. All the reviews I’ve seen recently of Jusbox fragrances have really piqued my interest and Sebastian really sold me on this one! I’m from Pennsylvania.

  • Adrian Meeks says:

Since I'm part Jamaica and ganja weed is my EVERYDAY scent then this would make perfect since to have this jewel in my collection…

  • Wow! This bottle looks wonderful. And the notes are also so unique but fabulous. I would very glad, if I would be the lucky winner. Thank you for the draw. I live in the EU.

  • luis quezada says:

I'm very interested in new notes in niche fragrances and JusBox always delivers. Would love to have it in my collection.

  • Marvalicious says:

I’ve had a sample sent to me and I absolutely LOVE this fragrance beyond words!!! It’s favelo and I’d love to win a full bottle of this to wear and add to my collection!!! Thanks for this opportunity.

  • This was a great video and I never smelled marijuana in a perfume. I only know Bob Marley. Thank you for the introduction to jusbox and No Rules also sounds good

  • Marvalicious says:

My all time favorite reggae song is Bob Marley’s “War” but I like a lot of Marley’s songs tbh. I already left a comment above but I’ll repost it here with this one to fall in line with the rules for winning this giveaway opportunity. I’ve had a sample sent to me and I absolutely LOVE this fragrance beyond words!!! It’s fabulous and I’d love to win a full bottle of this to wear and add to my collection!!! I think his review hit it right on the head as it is distinctly canabis centered. Thanks again for this giveaway opportunity.

  • Sebastian review of Green Bubble is absolutely awesome. Grapefruit, warm wood and marijuana accord. I would truly LOVE to have the chance to try this Jusbox frag. My favorite reggae song is ONE LOVE by Bob Marley! I live in CA, USA.

  • I would love to win something from this house, though haven't actually sniffed any. I love grapefruit note in hot weather. US

  • It would be amaizing to wear this fragrance for  Caribana parade in Toronto. Planning to go there this year. Living in the countryside of central New Jersey, USA.

  • Great job, Sebastian as always!

I like cannabis in perfumery and in cosmetics, and after Sebastian's review I must try this Green Bubble.

I like canbabis in Parfume.Sucks Green and Kinski perfume. Unfortunately, I've never tested Jusbox perfumes((

    US

  • I have never tried JusBox but this sounds like such an interesting fragrance! I love the citrusy, woody, smoky notes. I love Sebastian's review. I like reggae music but not enough to really have a favorite song.

    I live in the USA.

  • Bubeto_GG says:

Nice job Sebastian  – one of the best reviews lately ! Marijuana fragrance? Not sure i've smelled any . If will be fun to own one in my collection. Big green blast sounds good. I only hope the amber and honey will be more pronounced on my skin – love both notes. The Jusbox bottles are really nice especially the vinyl cap 🙂

Love Chaka Demus & Pliers – Tease Me

    Thank you

Back and forth between USA and Scotland. 1 week in US -> 1 week in Scotland (EU) , and so on.

  • I love the smell of weed. would love to smell this fragnance . I am  from EU.

  • Integra204 says:

what struck we with the review is the influence of music to create a fragrance.  I have vivid memories wrapped around both smells and music. To have a company combine the two of them is magical. I absolutely love the song Three Little Birds. I live in the US, Arizona

  • James harrington says:

I love how music and fragrances have intertwined now. It will be very interesting to wear seeing I work with tons of Jamaicans and to see their reaction would be priceless. Also I would be playing my song by bob marly, stir it up!!

  • Barber82 says:

As far as I can remember I've never smelled marijuana based fragrance , so Green Bubble is something new to me. Marijuana with citruses , Honey , woods and patchouli ? What an unusual concoction Green Bubble is. I'm intrigued because of this review. Next time going to Bloomingdales I'll check it out.

What a fantastic draw. Fingers crossed I'll be the winner.

Thank you Cafleurebon , Europerfumes and of course Sebastian .

  • NiceVULady says:

Ive never tried any of the fragrancs from JusBox, but I like the idea of combining a cannabis scent with patchouli (of course) woods, honey, and citrus.  Sounds lilke a great combo.  Thanks to Sebastian for another stellar review and thanks for a great draw.  I'm in the USA

  • Edcannabis says:

I've owned a fragrance with a cannabis note and absolutely LOVE IT!! WOULD LOVE to try this one, and being a HUGE Nirvana fan ill also have to get my hands on "Black powder" as well.

  • BluegrassGreatScents says:

I think the marijuana note mixed with the citruses and some of my other favorite notes make this one I’d love to add to my collection.  Sebastian is usually spot on in agreement with my nose; thanks to Cafleurebon, Europerfumes, and Sebastian for the opportunity to win a bottle. I’d have to turn on some UB40 and listen to some “Red, Red Wine” should I win (and drink some in celebration)! I live in the US.

  • Shannon Gaines says:

I have never tried anything from JusBox but the idea of music coupled with fragrance is intriguing as they are two of the main senses.  I also enjoy the smell of cannibas and have actually been on the hunt for the perfect cannabis fragrance.  Perhaps, it would be this one.  Also, the bottle is stunning…green on the sides is lovely and  love how the cap looks like an old school record.  My favorite reggae song is 'One Love' by Bob Marley.

  • I never really thought cannabis would be in a fragrance and that’s interesting learning something new today.  I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews because they are usually short and sweet and he describes everything in detail.

I love all Bob Marley songs.

    I  live in California.

  • Ambrosium says:

A great review as always, I’ve tested a few fragrances of Jusbox at the counter recently, but they generally don’t quite fit my taste, however I am interested in this fragrance, even though I wouldnt want to smell like cannabis everywhere I go.

Pressure Drop – Toots & The Maytals

    Love from Germany!

  • Michael Prince says:

JusBox Green Bubble is cool because it is based on the musical genre Reggae and the Country Jamaica which where many of the greens used including Cannabis are harvested.  Its cool that JusBox has a complete line based on different genres of music.  I haven't tried Green Bubble or anything else from JusBox.  I enjoy Reggae music from Bob Marley.  I am from the USA.

  • WaltherP99 says:

    IMPORTANT

Be VERY careful where , and when you wear fragrances like Green Bubble . I'm not talking about quality – i own and LOVE Beat Cafe by Jusbox , and i'm 100% sure Green Bubble will be well composed. Personally i don't smoke marijuana , but i like the smell , and own a few fragrances containing the note. You have to be aware a lot of states , and especially countries in Europe and Asia are NOT marijuana friendly , and you could get in VERY deep trouble wearing marijuana  heavy fragrance . Back in 2016 at Heathrow Airport in UK , i was questioned for ~2 hours by local equivalent of DEA , because their trained  Narcotic Dogs started barking heavily at me for wearing 5 sprays of Smoke for the Soul By Kilian . A good friend of mine was arested and fined close to $1500 in Philippines becasue of Music Festival by Maison Martin Margiela . Sure it was our fault for wearing those fragrances , but i just want to warn the others .

Yes marijuana fragrances are artisanal and funky , but there's time and place for wearing them. Do not repeat our mistakes – not every state is marijuana friendly like California , and not every country is marijuana friendly like Netherland .

As for the review – 10/10 review by the best reviewer out there – both on Youtube and on Cafleurebon – Sebastian. I do follow him for a long-long time – since the early days of his old Youtube channel. As i said i own and love Beat Cafe by Jusbox , so no doubt i'll sample Green Bubble.

Thank you all for this superb draw.

    Already follow @cafleurebon , @jusboxperfumes , @lookfeelsmellgreat and @official_europerfumes . I'll check  @chiara_inthejungle and @v_monkeys too .

Virginia USA or London UK/EU … at least 97/100 times .

    P.P.

Please do not delete this post.People need to be aware for the legal trouble they could get into for wearing marijuana heavy fragrances.

  • LORI LAWS says:

Great review by Sebastian! I am always intrigued by marijuana notes in fragrance. I love that Sebastian emphasized how much it does smell like marijuana. The concept of pairing music and fragrance is a great one! Redemption Song is my favorite song. Thanks for the giveaway and I live in the US!

  • bumbuliuki says:

The concept for Jusbox perfumes is very interesting and quite unique for me. Pairing fragrance with a musical genre sounds like a great idea. The bottles and packaging deserve a special mention. The 78 ml of the bottle is a nice tribute to the 78 rpm records.
If I think about it I haven’t smelled a fragrance with a prominent marijuana note. Green Bubble would be a great way to fix that, especially considering it has a very realistic marijuana note, as mentioned by Sebastian.
I haven’t tried any of the perfumes from Jusbox but I’ll try to, in the near future.
I don’t usually listen to reggae music, but I have a few favorites, ‘One love by Bob Marley & The Wailers”, being one of them.
Thank you for the great review and generous draw !
    I’m in the EU.

  • What strikes me about this is the marijuana note is said to be very realistic I have tried this note and other perfumes and it never was realistic. I have never tried this house either but I do love the idea of them basing all their perfumes after music I am a big music lover and I do love reggae music favorite song is probably pretty much anything Bob Marley.

Thank you for the chance I live in the United States North Carolina.

  • This is a interesting House. I haven’t smelled a fragrance with a strong cannabis note to it or one from Jusbox. Thanks, US

  • JozefJak says:

I don’t know the brand, but cannabis note can be very beautiful in perfumes. It is one of my top 5 “woody” ingredients. I love music inspirations in perfumery.I will not be original with the reggae song, as it is Bob Marley’s “Could You Be Loved” I live in Poland.

  • Amna Aziz says:

Great review by Sebastian intrigued by green camphorous smoky vegetal and cannabis note. I haven’t tried anything by jusbox but will try to soon. My favourite song by Bob Marley No woman no cry. Cheers From United Kingdom
