Roja APEX EAU INTENSE (Antoine Cotton) 2025 + Bright and Fresh Giveaway

Roja Parfums Apex Eau Intense

Before we get to Steven’s Video, where he compares  the new for 2025 APEX EAU INTENSE with APEX and APEX Parfum, a note from perfumer Antoine Cotton of Argeville, France

APEX is about embracing our connection to nature and listening to our innermost instincts – to reach the Apex of our potential and become the best version of ourselves. To express this, I wanted to depict a mysterious landscape through a wild jungle where green, leafy and aromatic plants operate together as a powerful phenomenon called photosynthesis. Something unique, singular, with a lasting impact reflecting the strength of plants and nature.

Antoine Cotton, Junior Perfumer Argeville France

APEX EAU INTENSE is an intensified experience, in which uplifting pomelo, bright rose oxide, and salted driftwood combine with a chlorophyll accord to evoke invigorating nature. What is interesting in this creation is a play of lights, a union of bright energies and wild textures highlighting all the beauty of a strong, dominant, and radiant nature. –Antoine Cotton, Perfumer

  • From the written opening I learned of the photosynthesis connection to this new fragrance. The video explained this flanker smelled different than it’s original. The video emphasized freshness. US

  • bellcornelius says:

Love how this version of APEX expands on the freshness of nature and I can’t wait to try it out while hiking this Spring/Summer in Alabama.

  • I really enjoy and own two Roja’s. I look forward to try this newly released APEX one on my skin.
    Thanks, Ali

  • I always liked the dark mystery of the original Apex, and as Msr. Cotton mentioned, it has a unique and singular vibe to it. He states that this new formula combines rose and pomelo with a chlorophyll accord, which sounds incredibly unique and most likely will give it a bright one-two punch of leafy florals with citrus. Steven commented on it being a combo of Apex and Isola Blu, as well as it having a similar freshness as Elysium. This piques my interest because I’ve always loved the freshness of Isola Blu and Elysium, but wished they had a bit of dark mystery to them. I’m hoping this will deliver that element. I’d be honored to add it to my collection. I live in NC, USA.

  • Antoine Scott does a perfect job of comparing Apex eau intense to earth vibrant jungle. The bottle itself reflects the bright upbeat that the fragrance notes provide. Steven provides great detail on the freshness of the new release compared to its predecessor. Great job Steven.

  • mahondagod says:

Very interesting sounding scent from an outside perfumer for the brand. If it is anything like Steven explains in his video as a mixture of Isola Blu and Apex I will for sure need a bottle. Two of my absolute favorites from the brand. Can’t wait to get my nose on this!

  • destalee79 says:

I am a subscriber on Steven’s channel, he always makes Roja sound so good! I have not been able to get my nose on this line but I am very interested in adding the line to our collection as it sounds just beautifully done! Thank you for the opportunity!

  • Ramses Perez says:

I am somewhat familiar with the Apex DNA. I have smelled it in passing and I do remember it being a bright and CEO-like scent. This new Apex Eau Intense does seem to take on a different direction. Like Steven mentioned it’s green and a mix with Isola Sol so it’s probably very bright and invigorating. I’d be very interested to see how it acts on our skin and what kind of notes come up. Thanks to Twisted Lilly for this very generous giveaway. I’m located in continuous US.

  • Junior Inzunza says:

I love the original Apex. This new flanker sounds like a spring/Summer banger. Roja

  • DAISY PEREZ says:

I first have to say that I LOVE ROJA PARFUMS, along with Steve Redolessence and Twisted Lily!!
I am already doing research on perfumer Antoine Cotton. I can’t wait to get my nose on this new APEX EAU INTENSE. I would love to smell it on my husband.
I own Amber Aoud and Sweety Aoud.

  • When i first experienced Roja Apex, it reminded me of Tom Ford’ Italian Cypress but more synthetic. It was and still is a lovely scent! Looking forward to trying the flanker! And Steven is a great describer of notes and aromas!

  • scenternet says:

I really appreciate how Steve compared this launch to its predecessors. This seems like a nice take on this dna and I was really surprised that this has a different perfumer. I would love to get my nose on this, and love the presentation! I love the depth of detail that Antoine provides as I really appreciate seeing the full note breakdown.

I love a masculine-leaning fragrance, esp when it’s a bright citrusy / woodsy scent. Lemon, mandarin, Pomelo with grass and a chlorophyll accord?! Yes, please! This sound absolutely delightful!

  • Tylerap89 says:

Well I have always loved nature and if it’s supposed to be a representation of nature then I’d love to try it. And if it’s fresh like the review stated, perfect for the humid climate I live in!

  • The original apex is very well done. Its mix of aromatic green spicy earth vibes as well as citrus and really hearty base is a love for me. Sounds like this Eau Intense is going to be even more versatile and fresh. Cant wait to try it.

  • Gustavo Inzunza says:

I love the original Apex. This new flanker sounds like a great summer fragrance.

  • Matthew Yeager says:

This is exciting. I’ve been waiting for the perfect Rosa perfume to add to the collection. I have Elysium cologne, and Elysium parfume. And this look amazing

  • Eris.can.swatch.kaos says:

As someone who could never afford Roja, I can still appreciate the masterful fragrances. This one probably leans too masculine for my unisex loving tastes, but I’m curious to get my nose on this. Steven always does an excellent job describing new fragrance releases and I trust his opinion. I hope this bottle goes to someone who truly wants it. I am a Redolessence subscriber and follower of Cafleurebon on insta at eris.can.swatch.kaos. I live in Oregon.

  • To start, what an exquisitely designed bottle! Just looking at it hints of the intense energy, and brightness of leafy green photosynthesis through sunlit leaves.
Steve’s description of the notes in Roja’s APEX EAU INTENSE- Redolence video were clearly described and greatly appreciated. It sounds like a refreshing “Burst” for Spring and Summer perfume enjoyment.
I would love to experience this fragrance by Rojas designer, Antoine Cotton, and wish him the very best success in this launch.

  • Pomelo, rose oxide, salted driftwood … chlorophyll!!! How does one conjure up the idea to combine these things into a fragrance! Pure talent!

  • There’s something quietly bold about trying to capture nature’s spirit in a bottle.
APEX Eau Intense feels like a tribute—not just to the wild, but to our desire to understand it.
The intention behind the scent might be its most powerful note.

  • Ramon Carreon says:

I’m intrigued but have putting it off to buy from the brand do to my budget but will take advantage of this and see if I’m fortunate to be a first time owner of the brand .

  • Shannon Sharpe says:

I love the complexity of Roja Parfums fragrances. The combination of Isola Blu and apex Parfums sounds intriguing.. I have purchased samples of both. I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect masculine fragrance. Mr. Cotton’s description of this being an uplifting and intense experience comparing it with the strength of nature has peaked my interest. This sounds like a must have!

  • Joshua Kight says:

Great review. Thank you for comparing all 3 fragrance’s. Very helpful and informative.

  • sherin thomas says:

Roja Apex is one of the freshies from the line. I have the original release but I am intrigued to find out how the herbal notes gel with the woody notes and stand different from the Original. I am from PA,USA

  • Devonte Gordon says:

I fell in love with the first Apex edp. I had very little experience with the Apex Parfum, but lately I’ve grown to really appreciate it and I might like it more than the original lol Apex Eau Intense seems as if it would be more wearable in casual situations but you still would smell a little unique compared to everyone else around you! So I’m curious and would love to experience it!

  • teatreesoil says:

i’m obsessed with green notes, and i’m intrigued how the salted driftwood blends with rose and pomelo as antoine highlights. i appreciate how thorough steven’s video was on reviewing the new roja apex flanker, especially since i never know what to expect from “intense” versions! hearing that roja apex eau intense keeps its fresh zestiness and but mixes things up with a bit of isola blu’s fragrant herbal blend is really exciting! also appreciate hearing his thoughts about the age range/suitable environments for the fragrance, which helps give context for how “safe” or “versatile” a scent can be!

  • Rob Weintraub says:

Roja is hands down one of my favorite fragrance houses—I already have Great Britain, both versions of Elysium, and Enigma Parfum in my collection, and I love them all! I had a decant of the original Apex PC, which I liked, but a little on the heavier side for this type of fragrance. So when I heard about Apex Eau Intense being brighter and fresher, I thought: okay, this might be the one that really clicks with me. I am considering a blind buy!
Also, huge shoutout to Stephen—his reviews are always top-tier, and this one is no exception. The way he described the transitions and character of this new fragrance made me get closer pulling the trigger on the blind buy. Plus, knowing this flanker was done by Antoine Cotton instead of Roja Dove himself makes it even more intriguing—is it a fresh take on Apex, while still staying true to the Roja DNA?

I’d love to get my nose on this and see how it rounds out my little Roja lineup. Thanks so much for the opportunity!

  • jerrydegarmo says:

Looks like it will be another success. Cannot wait to try this one. Hoping to win it and enjoy it for a long time. Love Roja Dove. Thanks for the opportunity.

  • Wow I love Roja especially Elysium.
But I’m a big fan that they made a fresher version of apex.
    Ty twisted lily

  • I love how the perfumer wanted to capture the true freshness of nature. I’m so excited to have to the opportunity to get my nose on this. As always, Steven’s videos are my favorite on YouTube. He has one of the best noses out there and our interests are very similar.

  • I have not tried the original but I love rose and pomelo notes. This sounds like a perfect Spring time fragrance, getting you in the mood for the next season in our part of the world. Very generous giveaway too! I am located in the USA.

  • This preview of Roja Apex Eau Intense has me incredibly intrigued! The description of it being ‘brighter, fresher, and with a more pronounced citrus opening’ compared to the original Apex perfectly aligns with my preference for vibrant and uplifting fragrances. The idea of the grapefruit and mandarin taking center stage, supported by the familiar woody and resinous base, sounds like a fantastic evolution. Antoine Cotton’s insights into the reformulation process are fascinating, highlighting the meticulous attention to detail that Roja Parfums is known for. I’m particularly curious to experience how the increased radiance and lift translate on the skin, especially in warmer weather. This sounds like a truly compelling release for those who appreciate sophistication with a refreshing twist. Thank you for this detailed preview and the generous opportunity to experience Roja Apex Eau Intense. from US

  • I’ve never gotten to smell any Roja and would love to get my nose on some. Bergamot and cardamom are 2 of my favorite notes. Steven is so knowledgeable and so good at explaining scents. USA

The combination of the introduction and Steven’s video paint this fragrance in such a wonderful light. The original is amazing and I can only assume this one will be too. Can’t wait to smell it!

  • Roja Parfums continues to captivate with each new release, and Apex Eau Intense sounds like another exceptional creation. I’ve always admired the complexity and quality of Roja’s fragrances, and the idea of a brighter, more citrus-forward take on Apex is very exciting. The mention of the juniper berry and the emphasis on freshness suggest a more versatile and perhaps even more approachable interpretation, while still retaining the signature sophistication of the house. Antoine Cotton’s explanation of the nuances and his dedication to elevating the original concept is truly compelling. I’m eager to discover how this ‘eau intense’ balances the invigorating citrus with the deeper, more grounding elements. This giveaway offers a wonderful chance to experience firsthand the artistry and innovation that Roja Parfums consistently delivers.

  • The promise of a brighter and more citrus-forward Roja Apex Eau Intense is incredibly exciting! The original Apex is already admired, so this evolution, with a focus on uplifting grapefruit and mandarin, sounds like a fantastic way to make it even more versatile and appealing, especially for those who love a vibrant opening. Antoine Cotton’s vision clearly aims to enhance the freshness while maintaining the underlying quality. This sounds like a must-try for any Roja enthusiast looking for a lighter yet still sophisticated option. Thank you for the giveaway! from US

  • As someone who hasn’t yet experienced the original Apex, this preview of the Eau Intense version is incredibly compelling as an entry point into the Roja Parfums world. The emphasis on a ‘brighter and fresher’ profile, with prominent citrus notes, sounds like a fantastic introduction to the sophistication and quality the brand is known for. Antoine Cotton’s explanation makes it clear that this isn’t just a simple flanker, but a thoughtful evolution. I’m particularly drawn to the idea of a vibrant opening that leads into the deeper elements. This giveaway feels like the perfect opportunity to discover the allure of the Apex line with this more radiant interpretation. –from US

I am loving the idea of blending green notes with citrus, it sounds like nature bottled up. Can’t wait to smell that chlorophyll twist and wear it this summer season. USA

  • Zestybloom says:

Steven comparing this to a mix of Apex and Isola Blu got me hyped. If it’s fresh but still got depth, I am really interested in it. Been a fan of Roja for a long time now and this one sounds nice. I’d love to try!

  • oudmymood says:

The chlorophyll and pomelo combo sounds so unique! Antoine really brought something different this time. Fresh, vibrant, and still rooted in nature. His inspiration from photosynthesis is genius and really intrigued me.

  • scentista says:

The way Antoine described the jungle and light really paints a picture, this might be the most conceptual Roja yet. Super intrigued by that chlorophyll note. I’d be lucky to add it to my collection. I live in USA.

  • Simon Kim says:

I have an original Apex and am looking forward to new one. This new flanker sounds like a great summer fragrance.

  • ianbradleyandrews says:

I love Steven’s reviews. He is so thorough and lets you know about all aspects of the perfume. This sounds delightful. The pomelo sounds wonderful. I’d love to win and live in Indiana.

  • Antoine Cotton’s intro is intriguing and I’m curious to sniff a chlorophyll inspiration 🙂 Steven then hooked me by stating Apex Eau Intense was a good fit for those who like Elysium and that is me to a T. Thank you Twisted Lilly for the awesome giveaway. I’m in TX USA

  • FragheadS says:

Steven’s take on this being a hybrid of Isola Blu and Apex got me interested right away. Two solid scents, so this might be a summer beast. I’ve always enjoyed Apex, but this Eau Intense version seems like a more wearable, fresher alternative. Curious to see how the pomelo and rose play together. US

  • It sounds like this is bright, citrusy, and green. Sounds good for spring. I’ve only tried Elysium Eau Intense from Roja and wasn’t really a fan which was surprising as I’m one of those people who tend to like everything so hopefully this is better for me. I’m in the USA.

  • What a perfect time for this to hit the market. I love fresh green fragrances and now I also want to sample the parfum version after hearing how long it lasts. Seattle Insta: @calebrzahn

  • Capricornus86 says:

Antoine’s introduction grabbed my attention with the phrase, “salted driftwood combine with a chlorophyll accord to evoke invigorating nature.” I am looking for a warm weather fragrance and this sounds perfect. I have next owned a bottle of any Roja fragrance because I can’t afford it, but would love to start with this one.

As always, Steven’s reviews are always honest, thorough, and done with class. I *always* look forward to his videos and have sample quite a few fragrances based on his opinion. When I wear a quality fragrance I feel special, like I stand out from the crowd.

  • What intrigues me most is that fascinating chlorophyll accord paired with salted driftwood… I’m fascinated by how this EAU INTENSE embraces a more vibrant, energetic expression of nature through the intriguing combination of citrussy tartness, greenness, and mint.
The note breakdown reveals such a thoughtful architecture – starting with those bright citruses, moving through aromatic herbs and that unique chlorophyll accord, then grounding everything with woods and resins. The idea of a fragrance capturing photosynthesis – literally transforming light into life – feels so poetic and meaningful… consider me thoroughly intrigued! Thanks-US

  • The idea of sunlight filtering through a green jungle turned into a scent sounds pretty magical. If it’s as bright and natural as it sounds, I’m sold. Hopefully winning this gives me a reason to pull the trigger on buying a bottle.

  • lanabrunerson says:

Ooh, Steven’s description of APEX EAU INTENSE is great! Such an intriguing tension between vibrant life and oceanic elements here, sounds like a really masterful composition. Conceptualizing photosynthesis into fragrance form is so innovative!

  • The citric minty freshness Steven describes in APEX EAU INTENSE speaks to my love of verdant, lively energy in fragrances. Citrussy tartness, aromatic mint, and a fascinating salted driftwood note suggests a fascinating journey from bright vitality to contemplative depth! I’m a follower of Cafleurebon on insta at kjoebenhavnerfar, and live in the US.

  • The “play of lights” and “wild textures” Antonio describes in APEX EAU INTENSE is so interesting. What stands out immediately is this compelling tension between growth and weathering, vibrancy and earthy stability. Thanks– am a follower of Cafleurebon on insta at risoucou

  • What intrigues me most about APEX EAU INTENSE is that chlorophyll accord paired with salted driftwood- vibrant green energy and minerality, how cool. The enhanced citrus, green freshness, and mint mentioned by Steven as distinguishing it from the original versions sounds exactly like the bright, energetic nature expression I gravitate toward, especially for spring. The philosophical dimensions Antonio mentions of APEX EAU INTENSE are nice to know. I wish Steven mentioned what the chlorophyll accord smells like, I’m assuming leafy/verdant… fascinating progression from vibrant citruses through a complex heart to grounding base notes. • Thank you for the opportunity. Really excited to try this one. Love that Steven mentioned the versatility of this one. This sounds exactly what I’m looking for. Plus love mint in fragrances. Thank you again.

  • Wow, the description of Roja’s Apex eau intense feels like poetry translated into fragrance! Beautiful tension between vibrant growth and weathered stability, what a thoughtfully structured composition moving from uplifting top notes, complex midnotes to grounding base elements. Unfortunately haven’t smelled original Apex, Isola Blu, or Elysium, so can’t fully imagine what this combo of the three is like. I follow on ig at mait_be, living in the US

  • majohnson25 says:

Loved the dark mystery of the original Apex, a bright one-two punch of leafy florals with citrus. The chlorophyll accord paired with salted driftwood here in the Eau Intense really captures nature’s wildness. I’m particularly drawn to Steven’s description of it being more citrussy tart, green, minty than its predecessor; sounds invigorating. Am an ig follower, my handle is no_man_man_no, I live in the US.

  • Apex Eau Intense really celebrates contrasts! What particularly intrigues me is how Roja has intensified the experience—amplifying the green, tart, fresh herbal aspects to create something more energetic than the original. I really liked how Steve drew comparisons between this launch and the previous ones. It feels like a fresh interpretation of the original DNA, and I was genuinely surprised to learn it has a different perfumer behind it. I’d love to smell it myself, and the presentation looks fantastic! I also appreciate the in-depth breakdown Antoine offers—it’s great to see all the notes listed like that. I’m in USA.

  • AromaDulce73 says:

This sounds like a nice freshy for Spring/Summer. I never heard of a chlorophyll accord so this sounds interesting.

I don’t know what the original smells like but I do know Roja has top notch fragrances.

Steven mentioned mint which I love in a fresh fragrance. It seems like this flanker is not like the OG. This one is citrusy off the top and a grass accord comes in on the drydown. I’m definitely interested.

  • I’m absolutely fascinated by how Roja/Antoine captured alchemical processes here! What a beautiful narrative… The “play of lights” and “wild textures” suggests just the dimensional complexity I expect from the house, and Antoine’s comparison of Eau Intense to an earthy vibrant jungle is so timely for spring/summer. Am a Redolessence subscriber and follower of Cafleurebon on insta: singhindc. Thanks from the US.

  • Hm, a fascinating dialogue between growth and transformation. I’m particularly intrigued by how this intensified version enhances the citrus tartness, green freshness, and herbal minty aspects. The theme of this fragrance is an interesting one. Chorophyll note? That’s something you don’t see everyday, definitely intriguing. I like that this offering presents more versatility than the other flanker and OG. I’ve never gotten my nose on a Roja Dove fragrance so I’m really hoping to win this giveaway. Appreciate the opportunity and many blessings from Virginia, USA!

  • I think this could be a masculine scent, but I love these notes! This could really be incredible! I’m curious to see for myself if it could truly be feminine as well!

  • Daniel Rutan says:

This one sounds so intriguing given the “fresher” take on the original dna. Love how Steven addressed the various APEX variations and compared them. I love how Antoine addressed this version as being “invigorating”. Sounds like an incredible fragrance!!

  • Kensolfactoryodyssey says:

Ah, the Apex of intensity—what a concept. Antoine Cotton’s vivid description of photosynthesis as a fragrant phenomenon has me ready to pack my explorer’s satchel and trek through this lush, aromatic jungle. I’m particularly intrigued by the chlorophyll accord—what does that even smell like? Leafy laser beams? Nature’s green battery? Either way, I’m here for it.

Steven’s video adds another layer, as always—his comparisons between APEX, Parfum, and EAU INTENSE gave me a better map to navigate the trilogy. I appreciate how he highlighted the interplay between pomelo brightness and that salted driftwood, which I imagine smells like Poseidon’s gym bag in the best possible way.

This sounds like a fragrance that could easily be its own biome, pulsing with light, mist, and potential. Count me in. I’m in the USA

  • Antoine Cotton Seems to have created a novel scent that allows a relatively new fragrance collector (me) to experience green mature leaning scents with the familiarity of a fresh opening. A appreciate Steven’s reviews as a refreshing change to hype videos normally found on YouTube. A more thoughtful approach allows someone like me who has yet to purchase a Roja fragrance the chance to see which one will offer something new and provide some depth to my growing collection.
Apex Eau Intense (although I may be wrong) does not seem to imitate any of the “usual suspects” on the market and this is the reason it intrigues me.
Keep up the good work Steven!

Thank you guys for opportunity to win this awesome giveaway !
    Good luck everyone !

  • I love that this flanker isn’t just a stronger Apex rather it’s a totally different vibe. Roja fragrances can be heavy in my opinion, so this fresh twist is welcome.Antoine Scott does a great job comparing it to vibrant jungle. Steven also did a great job describing it.

  • Chlorophyll as a note is so unexpected and cool. Feels like Roja is really pushing the boundaries with this one. Can’t wait to see how it plays with the citrus and salt.

  • Apex was bold, but this sounds… radiant.I like the idea of the same DNA but with added brightness. Hopefully it wears lighter but still has that Roja class. Can’t wait to get my nose on this!

  • Brandon R. says:

I think Antoine cottons intro about a play on lights and the relationship with fresh natural greens is intriguing. Steve talking about the fresher take on apex makes this seem new and not redundant. The bottle is perfect for the collection. Would love to be a winner for the upcoming spring season.

  • Love Roja, one of my favorite houses. The scents, packaging, bottles, everything feels like luxury. They always do that citrus bubbly effervescent thing so well. Steven saying that this a like a cross between the original Apex and Isola Blu makes me really excited.

  • goknitintheocean says:

    Hi there,

So interested in this Cotton creation…Sounds like this eau intense could lean in a “feminine-enough-direction” to be really appealing to me and on me. Just imagining the mint and citrus listed in the video makes my mouth water. Thank you to Steven and Antoine Cotton for bringing us these updates. I am in NYC/the Continental USA.

    Cheers,

  • This seems like a perfect balance of uplifting and grounded.
Fresh citrus up top with driftwood and a touch of rose underneath.

  • rhuynh2005@gmail.com says:

I had the original Apex and I think it’s a little too dark for me. From Steven’s review, this is a fresher take on the original which I probably like it. Can’t wait to sample it and hope I can add it to my collection.

  • I never tried the original, but this flanker sounds amazing in its own right. This sounds like an amplified version of a natural scent. The zing of grapefruit and a chlorophyll accord with peach, rose oxides and a salted driftwood is a green, uplifting scent. MD, USA.

  • I love all Roja perfumes but the ones I’ve smelled were very subtle and soft like Vetiver and oceania .I’m intrigued by the name Apex. I wa thinking alpha male vibes but I like how the strength and abilities of plants were mentioned. I found out about the brand from redol. Just like him I’m pleasantly surprised it’s a more fresh Woody scent. Sounds more versatile and unisex

  • I like this high-concept take on a green fragrance. The “play of lights” Antoine describes is a really evocative way to describe the pops of citrus and mineral that lend APEX EAU INTENSE it’s texture. I appreciated Steven’s comparison to the other APEX fragrances; I haven’t tried them, but it provided a sense of how this flanker plays with the concept. He also made the “zingy” citrus opening sound fantastic.

    I’m in the contiguous U.S. I’m @mmerline on Instagram.

  • After reading Antoine Cotton introduction , watching the video , and from all previous Steven reviews of Roja Dove fragrances I can tell he’s obviously impressed not just by the latest APEX EAU INTENSE release , but by Roja fragrances as a whole , the complexity and quality ingredients , presentation everything is 10/10. Almost feels it’s not just APEX EAU INTENSE , there is a connection with the brand and one of my favorite Cafleurebon contributors.
Other than Steven enthusiasm , APEX EAU INTENSE deviation from the first two releases , the other thing that intrigues me the most are the scent profile that sits in between APEX Parfum and Isola Blu – fragrance I really like, with bright citrus opening, mint, patchouli and sandalwood in the base.
APEX EAU INTENSE feels a lush green and tropical getaway and I feel delighted now , like I’m laying on the hammock on some wild beach , and holding in my hand freshly squeezed juice with fresh mint leaves in it. No wonder Antoine Cotton wanted to depict a mysterious landscape .
Elysium Parfum Cologne is my favorite Roja Dove fragrance
    Thanks for the draw

I have always been fascinated by perfumers who can bring nature to life through scent, and Antoine’s description of APEX Eau Intense does just that. The chlorophyll accord alone makes this stand out. I have never smelled anything that tries to replicate photosynthesis before. Really excited to see how that fresh, wild energy comes across on skin.

  • BloomyWinter says:

Steven’s review was packed with insight, but what struck me most was how he highlighted the freshness without it being generic. It sounds like this version of apex is meant to shine in warmer weather. That blend of pomelo and mint with woods in the base seems like the perfect contrast. Definitely a bottle I’d love to experience firsthand.
    Thanks for the opportunity. USA

  • The way Antoine talks about light and nature really resonated with me. I love when a perfume feels like more than just a nice smell, when it tells a story. That chlorophyll and driftwood combo sounds so unusual, I can’t wait to see how it wears.

  • ScentNScent says:

I am a big fan of green scents, and the idea of combining mint, citrus, and a chlorophyll accord sounds super refreshing. I really appreciated how Steven broke it down in the video. This seems like the perfect scent for spring and summer

  • Citrus Paradise says:

I have three Roja Parfums-Vetiver, Creation E and Enigma.
I have been on the fence about Apex eau intense but I love the notes on this one. I am always down for something fresh and green. This one sounds like it’s bursting with life. Enjoyed the review and thanks for the giveaway.

  • Have sampled a few Roja fragrances also own one and all have been great so far, looking to add more in the future

  • It’s not often that a fragrance makes you think about the natural world in such a detailed way. I loved how Antoine described the inspiration behind it. If this really does feel like a walk through a jungle, I am all in.

  • The mention of pomelo, rose oxide, and salt instantly got my attention. That’s a combo I wouldn’t normally expect in a Roja scent. It sounds like it has the potential to be really bright and energizing, but still grounded. I’m definitely intrigued.

  • Fragrance collector says:

I really admire how Roja Parfums continues to evolve. This version of Apex sounds like it’s not just fresher but more complex in a different way. Really curious about how the chlorophyll note plays out. I have heard so much about Roja Parfums but never got to try any, mainly because they are quite expensive. I am intrigued by Apex for its notes. Thanks for the review and a generous draw. I am from the USA.

  • Lophoflora336 says:

I’ve always found Roja perfumes to be so amazingly composed that I can never pinpoint specific notes. Again, this scent seems to be masterfully composed. Steven’s breakdown made this flanker sound like a must have fresh, clean, but still Roja rich.

  • Steven does a great job translating the descriptions of notes and accords into terms that bring them to life in the mind. As he’s talking you’re hearing a description of an experience ..his responses and feelings are genuine because you can’t fake how the corners of the eyes lift during a real smile. This scent looks and sounds like a fresh take . A new path filled with anticipation as the softer buds dewy fronds and moss disturbed by our curious wandering release their magic into the still cool wooded air .

  • sourbergamot says:

This sounds like the kind of scent you wear when you want to feel awake and connected to something bigger. I loved hearing about how Antoine tried to bottle the energy of nature. That’s such a cool concept, and I’m very curious to smell it for myself.

  • Odor Aeternitatis says:

Steven’s comparison to Isola Blu and Elysium really helped me understand what direction this is going in. I have always loved that clean, crisp freshness, and if this version of Apex brings that with added depth.
This fragrance sounds quite interesting to me, I’m curious to smell the greenness that was described. US

  • fragrant_attention says:

What stood out to me most was the idea of light and greenery being captured in scent. I have never heard a perfumer describe inspiration in that way before. If it smells anything like it sounds, this could be something really special. Thank you Steven for the awesome review and Antoine for the amazing introduction.

  • Maidenhead says:

I really enjoyed the description of the different shades of green in this fragrance! I would love to try it. It’s always interesting when a new perfumer brings something fresh to a well loved fragrance line. Antoine’s take sounds unique like he’s bringing something more wild and alive to the Apex DNA.

  • I am drawn to fragrances that feel alive, and that’s exactly what this sounds like. The use of natural imagery in the description really brought the scent to life for me. I have not tried anything with a chlorophyll accord yet, and now I really want to.

  • I love when a fragrance pushes boundaries without losing its wearability. The way Antoine described this as a balance of brightness and strength made me instantly curious. Apex intense sounds like a juicy and complex fragrance, despite also being green in the base. I haven’t tried any Roja perfumes yet and this one sounds like a good place to start.

  • fenoburris says:

I am Roja Parfum big fan and it was very pleasure to read this review! I haven’t tried this perfume, but love description – sounds like a beautiful green perfume!!!
Steven always paints such a clear picture made me want to blind buy! Sounds like Apex Eau Intense hits that sweet spot of clean but complex. Might be my next daily driver.

  • Scent bear says:

I have not tried the original Apex, but this version sounds like a great place to start. The mention of citrus, woods, and chlorophyll makes it feel vibrant but grounded. Sounds like something I would reach for on early summer mornings.

  • Roja Parfums Apex Eau Intense seems to present a superior and more refreshing olfactory experience compared to its Parfum predecessor with a broader appeal. Might have to sample this ASAP. Thanks cafleurebon and twisted lily.

  • Swetrosysillage says:

There’s something really cool about a fragrance inspired by photosynthesis. It’s such a complex process, yet Antoine found a way to express that through scent. That kind of creativity always draws me in.

  • Perpetual collector says:

Fresh, green, and a little salty. That’s a trio I didn’t know I needed. The way Steven described the evolution of the scent from bright top notes to a warm, musky base makes me think it’ll be really versatile. I can’t wait to try it myself.

  • whispering moonlight says:

As someone who gravitates toward clean scents, I find this idea of chlorophyll and pomelo very appealing. It feels like the kind of fragrance that can lift your mood. Steven’s review was super helpful in painting a picture of how it unfolds. Looking forward to trying the flanker. Thanks.

  • mikebkirby says:

Antoine talks about the green leafy jungle but to me his point about photosynthesis is key. Photosynthesis is driven by the sunlight which ties into Stevens observations about it being Apex tied together with Isola Blu which is such a sunny fresh scent. Apex was always on the darker and more nocturnal side, so this sounds like a real flanker exploring the other side of the day.

  • Nature inspired scents always have a special place in my collection. There’s something calming and energizing about them at the same time. Antoine’s take on Apex sounds like it captures that balance beautifully.

  • fragrancegorlie says:

The idea of bringing the jungle to life in scent form is so cool to me. I imagine it smelling green, dewy, and sunlit. I am excited to experience their vision of wild nature. Thanks for the opportunity. I am in the US.

  • shining stones says:

The use of a chlorophyll accord makes this fragrance sound like it’s full of life. I appreciate how Steven always explains the progression of the scent so clearly which definitely helped me understand what to expect.

  • I think its really impressive how this version of Apex doesn’t just try to be stronger but instead tells a new story. The idea of light and texture being expressed through scent is amazing.

  • MysticalArugula says:

I am always looking for fragrances that offer something new, and this sounds like just that. Green and salty with a hint of floral, I have never experienced that kind of combination before, and now I really want to. Mr. Cotton’s description of this being an uplifting and intense experience also made me more intrigued.

  • pomona vitalis says:

Antoine seems super passionate and creative, love seeing new perfumers bring their vision to established houses like Roja. Steven’s comparison to a fresh, bright version of Apex had me nodding the whole video. Sounds like something I would reach for daily.

  • That bottle is a whole vibe, it screams green energy. Hope the scent matches the visual because this one looks like an adventure. Also, love that they didn’t just go the usual aquatic route.

  • Steven’s take on the scent being a mix of Apex and Isola Blu had me hooked. I love when freshness is layered with something deeper. Antoine Cotton’s vision for a fresher take is very intriguing, and I am really looking forward to smell this new release from Roja Parfums. Thank you for the chance. US

  • IvanVelikov says:

Roja Dove is an expert in all he does , no wonder almost all fragrance enthusiasts , and critics puts him on such pedestal. Bespoke fragrances is what Roja is known for , i’m a tailor who makes bespoke suits , we match well.
I’ll gladly wear APEX EAU INTENSE , a fragrance that according to Antoine Cotton is all about embracing our connection to nature and listening to our innermost instincts. Such a refined creation , citrucy and sunny as well as green, woody and minty. The posh combination of notes , and references to Isola Blu intrigues me a lot . I can see myself wearing APEX EAU INTENSE with Zegna fabrics Hunter Green Herringbone Linen suit.
My favorite Roja Dove is Amber Aoud Absolue Precieux , mesmerizing scent , Elysium Pour Homme Parfum Cologne is one of my go-to fragrances for the few past years .
Thank you Steven , Twisted Lilly

  • This feels like the kind of scent that could help you feel fresh throughout the day. The greens and woods make me think of forests, while the citrus adds that needed lightness. Definitely interested.

  • Controlledbyscent31 says:

This feels like a Roja scent that will be great for close encounters and warmer weather. Definitely need to test longevity though. The original apex is already so well done so I have high expectation from this one for its green earthy vibes.

  • Featherblossom says:

What really got me was the salt note. I don’t see that used often with greens, and it’s a combination that sounds so refreshing. Hoping this one lives up to the beautiful concept behind it. Antoine Cotton’s vision clearly aims to enhance the fresh aspect of it while maintaining the overall performance where he seems to have excelled already.

  • Cotton’s concept of a wild jungle in scent is completely mesmerizing. Chlorophyll accord combined with salted driftwood is again so good. Steven’s reference to the freshness of Isola Blu and depth of Apex had me imagine how it must be smelling like. This could be my go to summer fragrance only if fate smiles on me and I get to win!

  • autumnblue9 says:

The idea of combining pomelo with something as grounded as driftwood sounds like a refreshing contrast. If this version of Apex leans brighter while keeping its depth, I can see it becoming a favorite for summer evenings.

  • I always liked dark green freshness of original Apex.
I enjoyed Steven’s comparison and Antoine Cotton’s short review about light changes is beautiful!

  • Antoine’s take on capturing nature in motion light, air, leaves makes this release sound so different from the typical freshies out there. I really appreciate this innovative approach taken here.

  • First of all, thankyou for the generosity. As someone who lives in a pretty humid climate, I am always on the hunt for something that feels fresh but not boring. The whole note pyramid on this frag is something unique to a summer scent. It sounds just beautifully done! Thank you.

  • I love how Steven broke it down and it helped me imagine how the scent would shift from top to base. Definitely want to sample it soon. Antoine’s introduction was also very interesting. Can’t wait to get my nose on this!

  • This is the kind of scent I imagine wearing on a long weekend getaway. I like that it seems more green than marine or ozonic, which is a nice change for summer frags. The combination of the introduction and Steven’s review has now made me really curious about this new release.

  • almondlover says:

I have been following Steven for a while now, and his excitement for this release really came through. I liked that he didn’t just hype it up rather he explained how it’s different from the original Apex, which makes me want to try it out even more.

  • scenchanting says:

Have a couple of Roja fragrances already, but this one seems like it’s heading in a totally different direction and I love that. It’s exciting to see a flanker that actually adds something new to the line unlike many which are just minor tweaks. Thanks steven for yet another awesome insightful review and Antoine Cotton for his introduction.

  • David Furman says:

The stark contrast of vetiver and earthy nature of all its components makes for an exceptional debut. Never smelt any of Roja’s creations but in my understanding of his house that the bottle is just the beginning of what’s yet to come. Would like to garner this for spring throughout the year. From North Carolina.

  • petergigov says:

I relate Roja Dove to ultra luxury , Apex Eau Intense i have no experience myself but I own original Apex and I’ve sampled Isola Sol , and a fragrance in between the two is something I’d definitely enjoy.
The the best citruses available , mint , spices , all smoothen woods and resins, Apex Eau Intense s ounds really, really good, and I also think very much lavish all year round fragrance.
I’m also curious about how good of a fragrance the new Roja Dove is if Antoine Cotton thinks it represents something unique, singular, with a lasting impact .
Other than Apex , Vetiver Pour Homme Parfum Cologne and Creation-E Parfum are also in my possession.
    Overly exciting giveaway, USA
    Regards

  • Such a high level of perfumery Roja Dove is, there’s no denying it. Antoine Cotton spoke of bright energies, wild textures , rose , patchouli and pomelo and I’m loving it.
Steven take on APEX EAU INTENSE made me think of making and later on eating Lemon Mint Cake , drinking freshly squeezed pomelo juice, and enjoying my time in Florida , uplifting fragrance with tropical and classy nuances.
Sweetie Aoud , fragrance made to mimic the smell of French Pastry Shop, and particularly freshly baked croissants is my favorite Roja Dove , Creation-E is my second favorite , old private gentleman’s club , with cognac and tobacco smell .
Appreciate Antoine Cotton introduction, the review from Steven , and the giveaway campaign

  • Roja Parfum. I wish I can own one…..
I tried Burlington and it was fantastic.
The presentation looks gorgeous, and that atomizer burst great for what Steven showed.
APEX Eau Intense sounds like a refreshing, bright, perfectly versatile. Like a Jack of all trades for a spring, summer, fall. Casual, formal, anything.

    Best of luck to all.

  • One of my favorite things on Cafleurebon is reading and/or watching videos about fragrances I know, and comparing the reviewers opinions with mine. As usual i enjoyed the whole experience , even though I’m not exactly on the same page with Steven . Antoine Cotton future is bright, I like his naturalistic approach.
Apex Eau Intense i sampled, and at least on my skin is a modern fragrance, with chypre, aromatic, woody and resinous facets.
To me the opening is zesty with big dose of fresh mint leaves, the spices and fresh rose petals are balancing the fragrance really well. The woody , resinous and violet aspects are dominating the drydown to me , with some zingy pomelo in the background.
If I have to rate my favorite Roja Dove fragrances
    1. Vintage , very first release , know amongst long time Roja Dove fans and collectors as “paper label” of Enigma Pure Parfum
    2. Sweetie Aoud / Manhattan
    3. Bergamot Extrait ( long discontinued )
All profiles I already follow, including @hauteparfumerie and Antoine Cotton at @antoine_cttn , @waltherp99bg
    Thanks a lot

  • All Roja fragrances I have smelled are deep , and never linear , and APEX EAU INTENSE is one of those unique warm weather gems you’ll never forget. I love the addition of citruses and mint to the classy base of APEX
Steven review almost brought me to Italy , sitting on the balcony of a luxury seafront villa in Sicily with striking port views, clear pool and stunning location enjoying the sunset with sparkling mojito cocktail. I’ll be following Antoine Cotton and his upcoming “union of bright energies” Roja Dove releases
Risque for Men i love and own , phenomenal scent , and the best Roja Dove fragrance i’m familiar with .
Cheers, and thank you for the opportunity
