The 7 Virtues STRAWBERRY JAM (Barb Stegemann and Angela Stavrevska) 2026 + Galentine’s Day Giveaway

The 7 Virtues Strawberry Jam

The 7 Virtues STRAWBERRY JAM by the brand.

Leave it to Barb Stegemann, the founder of The 7 Virtues to bottle the taste of summer and turn it into something utterly irresistible, just in time for a Galentine’s celebration February 13, that feels equal parts indulgent and nostalgic.

The newest addition marks a delicious new layer in the brand’s trademarked Layer Cake™ narrative, as The 7 Virtues embraces its gourmand heritage and spearheads the clean gourmand fragrance revolution. Debuting exclusively in 2,135 Sephora stores across 19 countries, Strawberry Jam Eau de Parfum builds on the viral triumph of Buttercream Haze, which launched in fall 2025 and shattered records as the brand’s most successful release, selling out in 55 stores during its opening weekend.

This is strawberry jam at its most addictive: thick, glossy, and glistening like a spoon dragged slowly through a just-opened jar. Just as its inspiration from Barb’s personal memories, it carries me straight to carefree days with friends, fingers stained ruby from berry picking, the air humming with laughter and sunlight. We would return home flushed from the heat, baskets overflowing, gathering in the kitchen as fruit simmered on the stove and pies baked in the oven, stories and secrets shared as easily as sugar. It is the same intimate, feminine camaraderie that defines the spirit of Galentine’s, friendship sweetened by ritual and memory.

On skin, the fragrance opens like a lavish gourmand feast meant to be savored together. The opening bursts with sun-ripened strawberry, juicy, pulpy, and vividly textured, as if crushed between your fingertips and passed around on warm slices of toast. A nutty pistachio accord lends a creamy, toasted richness reminiscent of crushed praline folded into whipped cream, while freesia drifts through like a bouquet placed at the center of a crowded table. As it settles, whipped vanilla and marshmallow melt into a plush, airy sweetness that evokes shared desserts and lingering conversations. The effect is mouthwatering yet refined: jam spread generously over buttered bread, sweetness softened by a subtle savory warmth.

I love a good gourmand, and I am endlessly chasing the perfect strawberry. Too often the note leans synthetic, missing the lush realism of the fruit itself. Here, the strawberry is startlingly lifelike, slow-cooked and jammy, touched by the gentle caramelization that happens when sugar and fruit fuse over heat. Barb Stegemann has a gift for distilling universal memories into scent: communal kitchens, clinking plates, and the easy intimacy of friendship. Perhaps that emotional fluency is part of the secret behind the brand’s meteoric rise across the US and Canada, with its Sephora debut ranking among the most anticipated launches.

Best Perfumes for Galentine's Day

The 7 Virtues STRAWBERRY JAM model shoot via the brand.

Although inspired by carefree summer, this fragrance knows no season, especially not one dedicated to celebrating friendship. The scene it paints feels tailor-made for a Galentine’s gathering: golden light filtering through leaves, bowls of freshly washed strawberries glistening on a picnic table, grass warm beneath bare feet, or perhaps if you find yourself on the East Coast, where grass is still covered in layers of ice, you may gather around a cozy fireplace, biting into a strawberry pie with a scoop of homemade cream on the side. A gentle breeze carries hints of blossoms and greenery, mirrored by the airy lift in the heart of the perfume that keeps its gourmand facets buoyant. The nuttiness and cream give it body, but a luminous floral current prevents the sweetness from turning heavy. It wears like the memory of sharing a slice of strawberry jam pie outdoors with your closest circle, flaky crust shattering, filling lush and glossy, joyful, comforting, and meant to be enjoyed together.

So, gather your girl squad, pour the drinks, cocktails or mocktails and settle in with the people who feel like home. Surrounded by your beautiful tribe and wearing the perfume that makes you feel most yourself, the world suddenly seems lighter, even on its grayest days. Or head over to your local Sephora to Bake Your Blend of a delicious cake and with so many offering you may just find a whole lot of new delicious flavors to explore with and layer. Sometimes all it takes is a fragrant spritz and a bite of something sweet to remind us how to savor the moment and step back out with a little more joy.

Notes: Nutty Pistachio, Sun-Ripened Strawberry, Fresh Freesia, Sugared Raspberry, Whipped Vanilla, Marshmallow, Warm Amber.

  • Strawberry Jam seems perfect for the Spring and Summer with its ripe and juicy strawberry, rich, nutty pistachio accord, whipped cream, vanilla, marshmallow and sweet floral notes of Freesia and warm amber to invoke sunny, summer days of enjoying sweet treats. A refined gourmand that can be layered other 7virtes scents to create decadent summer delights.

  • I love that this captures a realistic strawberry scent and also how the notes unfold, especially into the pistachio and marshmallow notes. I haven’t tried any perfumes from the The 7 Virtues. USA

  • TheScentedPage says:

Olya definitely had me at “slow-cooked and jammy”. I’m filled with anticipation for the opportunity to smell this gourmand.

    Summer in a bottle indeed.

  • I have heard others talk about this fragrance and wanted to see what the author thought. I have smelled Clementine Dream, Amber Vanilla and Cherry Ambition before. I live in the U.S.

  • AromaAdventurer says:

Olya’s review made me feel like I was right there in that sun-drenched kitchen, basket of berries in hand. What sparked my interest most is her description of the strawberry as “startlingly lifelike” and “slow-cooked and jammy” rather than synthetic or candy-like. I’ve been searching for a strawberry fragrance that captures the real, tactile experience of fruit preserved with sugar and warmth, not something that smells like a shampoo or a children’s toy. The addition of nutty pistachio and whipped vanilla against that lush, pulpy berry sounds like a masterful balance of rich and airy. I have not yet tried any perfumes from The 7 Virtues, though I’ve heard wonderful things about their commitment to clean ingredients and ethical sourcing. This sounds like the perfect introduction to the brand a fragrance that celebrates friendship, nostalgia, and the simple joy of something delicious. I am a registered reader in Canada and would be thrilled to win Strawberry Jam.

  • FragranceFrenzyS says:

Olya’s review captures exactly what I want in a fragrance: something that feels personal, nostalgic, and deeply connected to memory. Her description of Strawberry Jam as a scent for “gathering with the people who feel like home” resonates profoundly. The image of golden light, warm grass, and a slice of strawberry pie shared among close friends is not just a perfume marketing concept—it’s an actual feeling I want to bottle and wear. I was particularly drawn to her note that the fragrance “knows no season,” which tells me this isn’t just a fleeting summer novelty but a year-round comfort scent. I have not yet experienced The 7 Virtues’ Layer Cake™ collection, though the concept of building a personalized signature through layering is incredibly appealing. Starting with Strawberry Jam sounds like the sweetest possible beginning. I am a registered reader in Canada.

  • I love how the review highlighted the aromatherapy benefits from this fragrance, and also how descriptive Olya was in writing about it. Strawberry and pistachio together sounds divine. I have been wanting to try a fragrance from 7 virtues for over a year now, but haven’t because it’s been cost prohibitive with my current family situation. I would love to be able to wear a fragrance that’s safe around my little ones (2 under 2) and this fragrance in particular, based on Olya’s review, sounds like it would also evoke feelings of joy when wearing it. I had strawberry plants in our backyard where I grew up in California and I imagine this would bring up fond memories of childhood for me as well – those carefree days that don’t seem to exist anymore at present. I live in the USA.

  • This review really captured the nostalgic and joyful spirit that gourmand fragrances can evoke — especially when a scent like The 7 Virtues Strawberry Jam brings to life memories of sunny days, strawberries picked with friends, and shared laughter. The way you described the strawberry as rich, jammy, and lifelike — layered beautifully with pistachio, freesia, whipped vanilla, and marshmallow — made me imagine exactly what it might smell like on skin rather than just read about it.

I’ve enjoyed trying clean and purpose-driven perfumes, but this is the first time I’ve felt truly intrigued by how a gourmand can balance sweetness with refined complexity. That, and the Galentine’s Day celebration of friendship in the review, really spoke to me.

I would love to win this fragrance and experience its joyful, comforting energy myself!

  • What struck me most about Olya’s review is how vividly she wove scent into memory. The way she described the strawberry note as “slow-cooked and jammy” instantly transported me to a sunlit kitchen, laughter spilling over cups of coffee and simmering fruit. She managed to make Strawberry Jam feel less like a perfume and more like a shared experience between friends; warm, glossy, and joyfully familiar. It’s reviews like hers that make fragrance feel alive and deeply personal.

  • This review brought me back to my childhood in Massachusetts, going strawberry picking and then sitting around the kitchen table while my friend’s mom baked pies. I haven’t tried all the newer 7 Virtues, although I did fall head over heels for Candied Lychee. Excited to get my nose on this!

  • I have a couple other 7 Virtues fragrances: Blackberry Lily and Vanilla Woods. Vanilla Woods layers well with just about everything, and I love 7 Virtues’ philosophy of creating fragrances users can experiment and play with. And hey, ya gotta love a B Corp!

I think Strawberry Jam is a perfect release for Valentine’s and would love to win a bottle. I’m in the USA.

  • I would love to have a fragrance that has strawberry. Something light and refreshing. I’m not too much of a gourmandienne but a light strawberry would be fun and refreshing. I always did appreciate the Leaping Bunny companies. And 22% concentration is amazing! I would love to try this. I am located in the US.

  • I was already interested in this launch, and the article has made me even more interested in the Strawberry Jam perfume! I especially love the description of the perfume feeling like dragging a spoon through a newly opened jar of strawberry jam.

I love this brand and own several of their scents: blackberry lily (yay for a limited time comeback), candied lychee, cherry ambition, clementine dream and lotus pear.

    I live in Canada.

  • LATONYA GIPSON-BOWMAN says:

The Name alone, Strawberry Jam, had my attention. The notes and description, sounds like a Gourmand delight. I have Buttercream Haze, and I can imagine these two layered together.
I would love to have this in my collection. After reading the review on this, I’m very interested. I live in Orlando Florida, USA

  • Ramses Perez says:

I do agree with Olya in that there really isn’t a fragrance out there that features strawberries as the main star note and in which is not a cloying mess of sweetness. To be honest, to me strawberries don’t really have a distinctive smell or a strong enough one to take center stage and become the next thing. However J am sold on the idea of sun-ripened strawberries because it adds a solar/tropical nuance to it. Maybe this is the most realistic strawberry fragrance we will ever get for all I know. I just need to head out to Sephora and try this timely released scent for Valentine’s Day. I’m located in the USA.

  • Love the cheery photos. This would be the perfect gift with a box of chocolates on the side. I am allergic to strawberries, even though I can’t eat them I love the fragrance. I’m going to have to get to Sephora to test it with the Buttercream. My favorite of the line is Santal Vanille. Thanks for the chance. USA.

  • Strawberry jam instead of candy like strawberry or fresh strawberry is a great idea, and the added warmth of pistachio and amber sound like this is perfect for year-round enjoyment. Olya’s review really does bring to mind the nostalgia of strawberry desserts and friends and family, and I would love to try 7 Virtues.

  • When I read ” We would return home flushed from the heat, baskets overflowing, gathering in the kitchen as fruit simmered on the stove and pies baked in the oven, stories and secrets shared as easily as sugar,” I was immediately brought back to my childhood. I remember growing up going strawberry picking every summer, and making so many goodies. This fragrance sounds absolutely delicious! Registered reader from Canada

  • Thank you Olya for the wonderful review. I really enjoy gourmand fragrances and am love with how cozy strawberry jam sounds. Really interested in how the pistachio note plays in the overall fragrance and will definitely be sampling this in stores. Have tried and loved buttercream haze from 7 Virtues.

  • sillage4ever says:

As a fruit loving gal, just like Olya I’ve found strawberries at the center of the stage often a cloyingly sweet and not very strawberry experience. What they did with Blackberry Lily is enough for me to always give The 7 Virtues a chance to show me what they can do with fruit fragrances.

I’m in the USA, thanks for the generous drawing.

  • another draw that sounds absolutely delectable! i have seen the reviews for this one & it sounds like such a different, juicy, jammy strawberry! with warm amber, pistachio, & added florals- omg, i am sure it is beautiful. all of the notes sounds absolutely appealing- delicious! i love how it reflects women & their friendship- that is something so special & beautiful, fun, & meaningful. like a bond between gals that feels magical & devour-able, all at the same time. like if friendship had a scent- it would be the new strawberry jam. thank you so much for the delicious & thoughtful review & the contribution to the draw. thank you. i am in the united states.

  • Thanks for the joyful and heart-warming review! The 7 Virtues Strawberry Jam feels like sunshine and laughter in a bottle—bright, juicy strawberries layered with just the right pinch of sweet tartness, giving that delicious warmth you’d imagine from a classic jam fresh off the stove. What really stood out to me is how the composition keeps that fruity sweetness lively and lush rather than cloying, with subtle green nuances and soft musks letting the berry notes feel vibrant and natural. It makes me think of cozy mornings with toast and good company, or a carefree picnic under blue skies with friends. I’d love to try Strawberry Jam!
    Cheers from WI, USA

  • Like the reviewer, I am also on the hunt for a real strawberry fruit note. Most of the time we get strawberry candy. I have tried a lot of 7 virtues with Candied Lychee and Buttercream being my faves. I live in the US.

  • foreverscents says:

I am happy that The & Virtues is having so much success with their gourmand offerings. How interesting that the perfumes can be layered! I love strawberries, but I haven’t experienced it in a perfume yet. I loved Olya’s description of having a strawberry jam pie on a picnic with friends. I am very intrigued to experience how the pistachio note blends with the strawberry note.
    I live in the USA.

  • This sounds perfect for the upcoming Arkansas 100 degree heat. These notes sound delicious! Ive tried Vanilla Woods and Coconut Sun and love them. I need to get to Sephora and try this one! USA

  • crownroyale47 says:

Happy post Valentine’s Day. What pulls me in about this review is how this fragrance makes strawberry feel real again. Not plastic sweet, but slow cooked, glossy, and nostalgic. I’m interested in smelling how it blends pistachio and marshmallow together. I have a feeling I’d gift this to my partner. I haven’t tried any other scents from the brand and I live in New Jersey, USA.

  • I’ve been looking forward to Strawberry Jam! This review makes me even more intrigued, especially learning more about each of the notes. Olya’s descriptions make this fragrance sound so luscious and summer-drenched.
