Eris Parfums was launched in 2016 by Barbara Herman. Her years of collecting and researching vintage perfume took her on a journey: from blogging to writing Scent and Subversion (reviewed by Tama Blough R.I.P), to collaborating with master perfumer Antoine Lie to create fragrances as daring and beautiful as those she discovered in and from the past. I have sampled some Eris Parfums and chose to write about Night Flower, a perfume of desire, decadence, and danger. The reserved elegance of Eris Parfums Night Flower is reminiscent of the classic beauty found in Shalimar, yet there is also something distinctly contemporary, personal and alluring about it. It is a close-to-the-skin fragrance, beckoning people to lean in a little closer.

The initial burst of Eris Parfums Night Flower is bright and spicy, mixed with leathery earth nuances. As time passes, it develops both powerful and raw on my skin. The woody raw note emerges, adding depth and complexity. Imagine walking through a serene forest where sunlight filters through the leaves, casting warm shadows on the ground, invigorating and grounding, like a forest clearing.

The delicate white tuberose floral softly envelops me as I step into its embrace. I feel wrapped in layers of silk, each petal’s essence—a symphony of creamy, powdery, and slightly musky notes. I close my eyes and feel the summer sun’s warmth on my skin, the scent lingering like a whispered promise. In the language of flowers, tuberose whispers I am yours.

While briefly lost in the floral note, I am transported into the comfort of ancient forests where the damp soil meets sun-dappled leaves on a path of adventure, sweet, warm, comforting yet sensual and magnetic. It’s like a secret language of desire and melds with my natural scent, becoming uniquely me. At its base, it weaves a delicate web, drawing others closer. With my eyes closed, I feel the warmth of Eris Parfums Night Flower- a whispered invitation that wraps around me like a velvet cloak as I go deeper into the night.

As the notes intertwine, I imagine a femme fatale, whose silk gown trails behind her, leaving the scent of birch tar and tuberose in her wake. Night Flower is not predictable; she is intoxicatingly wild and raw. So, my dears, spritz Night Flower on your pulse points, let it bloom on your skin, let the perfume unfold- an olfactory story told in whispers, a fragrance that defies the ordinary.
