You are bound to experience one such velocity in Plume Impression Pop Heart. Created by the brilliant master perfumer Mark Buxton, Pop Heart is one tart and passionate cocktail. Being a hedonist, a wine connoisseur, and a talented cook with a passion for antiques, especially for art deco style, it all comes to life in this fragrance.

Imagine wandering through the streets of Paris to stumble upon a hidden little bar as it starts to pour rain outside. You are rushing inside and are stopped in your tracks by an intoxicating scent coming from within. Music is playing loudly; couples are twirling on the dance floor, and a magician is wearing his signature hat in sensual magnolia white in the middle of the stage. Sipping on a cocktail infused with raspberries and roses, he smiles softly and says: “Just like those paintings, just like the song that’s playing, I want my perfumes to have a powerful identity – happy and playful yet sensual and strong, like love at first sight.”

Colorful opening of crunchy red apples, sweet strawberries, and a burst of pineapple oozing with juicy overripe pulp paired with a velvety rose and slightly green magnolia transform into a creamy, sensual vanilla blended with musk. You should expect a twist to this fruity explosion; it wouldn’t be Mark Buxton if he didn’t blend it in such a way. When you expect a smooth ride, it takes an unexpected turn, and oh, it’s a fun one. Almost a leathery facet emerges halfway through the heart, adding depth and much-needed balance to this fruity concoction. A candy-deep, sensual, rich, creamy, buttery lactonic note of caramel feels almost gooey and enriches this fruity gourmand composition. The raspberries add a jammy-like flavor and are brilliantly paired with the soft lemon-like magnolia accord. With such a prolific nose behind this blend, expect to be wowed, seduced, and enticed.
Masterfully blended Plume Impression Pop Heart oscillates between playful fruitiness and carnal seduction, becoming more of a bridge to a magical journey. A ghost amber accord which is not mentioned, I vividly pick up on its golden light, which rounds up this blend seamlessly, creating a warm cozy texture. Finally, the last few hours on the skin are all about the delicate vanilla and sensual musk. I entirely succumb to the beauty of this perfume, and just like with good magic, you are always left wondering, hungry for more. Love at first sight? Perhaps not, but love at first spritz is undoubtedly in the cards for me.
