Top Ten Perfumes of 2024 (Ermano Picco and Michelyn Camen) + Part 2 Giveaway

Top Ten Perfumes of 2024 CaFleureBon

Michelyn’s and Ermano’s Top Ten Perfumes of 2024

In Part 1, Editor Ermano Picco and I began with an overview of the best perfumes as well as trends of 2024. Ermano lives in Milan, Italy and I live in New York City. We finally saw each other at Esxence in 2024, after five years. Often, I am asked is there a difference between how people from different countries judge perfumes? This year there are only two overlaps between us but as we continue with the teams of editors throughout the next few days, who hail from many countries, there are quite a few that made their respective top ten perfumes of 2024.

Ermano’s Top Ten of Perfumes of 2024

In the ever-evolving world of perfumery, 2024 has proven to be an interesting year where, among a plethora of derivative uninspired launches, creativity and artistry found their way through emerging talents pushing boundaries, and prominent perfumers still outdoing themselves with crafting fragrances as a proof perfumery can still be a true works of art. These perfumes do more than catch compliments and please crowds; they tell stories, evoke emotions, and reflect a deep interplay of culture, innovation, and craftsmanship.

That’s what I look for in my top ten perfumes of 2024, exceptional quality and flawless execution, but also the power to become a unique expressive medium. Let me unveil the artistic and high-quality perfumes launched this year that not only impressed me, but also spoke to my heart, making them an unforgettable olfactory experience. Join me as I delve (in alphabetical order) into my fragrant top ten of 2024.

CaFleureBon 2024 Top Ten Perfumes

Masque Milano Alcove (Karine Chevalier): Inspired by the tale of Bahram Gur visit to the sandalwood pavilion of Princess Yaghme, the daughter of the Emperor of China, Masque Milano’s Alcove is not just among the best releases of 2024, but for offering an olfactory journey in a fabled realm. Independent perfumer Karine Chevallier succeeded to elevate the matter of what fragrant dreams are made of, Mysore sandalwood, to a kaleidoscope of sensations where the nose spins around from the sparkling opening with fruity greenery from the pavilion garden, down to a sensuous spiral landing on the Princess alcove, feeling the almost human warmth of precious sandalwood, rose, and troubling vetiver.  The sumptuous amber trail in the base is totally captivating, and although it doesn’t make Alcove smell like love, for sure it makes it a sandalwood perfume for the records. @masque milano  @karine.chevalier

Estée Lauder Azurée Legacy (Anne Flipo): Disclaimer: I always had a soft spot for the original 1969 Azurée, not for specific links to any personal memory, but for the unmistakable Bertrand Chant signature that connects it to an era of subversive aesthetics, and gender fluidity ahead of the times. Part of the Legacy Collection, Azurée Legacy reimagined by perfumer Anne Flipo under the creative baton of Frédéric Malle strikes for its woody-green profile, so up to date to wear like an “emerald” ancestor of Malle’s Synthetic Nature. The intense aromatic floralcy of the heart with tarragon, jasmine and carnation makes it so deep and provocative still nowadays, to make it something for the records and sets it to be the best revival of 2024, making it one of my top ten perfumes of 2024.

Frassai Dormir al sol (Irina Burlakova): Slow perfumery for a slow living. This could be the perfect claim for Frassaï Dormir al Sol. Indeed, this fragrance sweeps you away to an ethereal coastal dreamscape where perfumer Irina Burlakova elevated sun-laden mimosa blossoms to a wellbeing golden pillow where you can snuggle and forget every toil. Opening with vibrant notes of peppery green citrus, Dormir al Sol magnifies the heart of mimosa with a dash of boozy vanilla and saffron that fade into a sweet tobacco bed inviting to relent and enjoy the beauty of simple (yet not banal) things in life like an exquisite perfume. @frassaï @natalia_outeda @perfumer.irina.burlakova

Jacques Fath Encens Copal (Jean-Christophe Hérault): The collaboration with master perfumer Jean-Christophe Hérault already yielded the brand two exquisite fragrances like Jasmin de Toscane, and Vetiver Gris. The latest outcome Encens Copal though, really exceeded for its take on a classic note like incense, set vivid mediterranean colors. It’s white copal incense on a joyride from Mexico to the French Riviera, hurling down the citrus trees, rolling in mastic teardrops, and gathering iris flowers and fresh hazelnuts.  Sacred yet glamorous, Encens Copal sparkling trail conveys Jacques Fath’s legendary “Joie de Vivre” through flawless balance. @jacquesfathparfums @jeanchristopheherault

Best Fragrances of 2024 award

Eau de Boujee Infleurno (Pia Long): I already knew Creative Studio Olfiction Limited founders Pia Long and Nick Gilbert, but it’s only earlier this year that I had the chance to smell their brand.  One of the top ten perfumes of 2024, Infleurno not only bears a brilliant name, but it’s also a textbook example of creative coherence when it comes to perfume development. Inspired by the myth of Persephone rising from hell and blooming on earth, this amazing fruity floral renders the cruelest month with the crispness of magnolia smoothed by velvety apricot hues of osmanthus. Pia Long seems to enjoy heavenly spring for the climate, but to prefer hell for the company as the sulphur tart notes and burnt incense make the chypre baseline among the sexiest ones I have recently smelled, solidifying Infleurno among the year’s best releases this year and for both of us top ten perfumes of 2024. @boujeebougies @perfumer.pia @nickrgilbert

Cartier La Panthère Elixir (Mathilde Laurent): Crafted by Cartier’s in-house perfumer Mathilde Laurent, La Panthère Élixir stands out as the best commercial release on the shelves, and surely best flanker of the eponymous successful fragrance launched ten years ago (it’s a tie with the Édition Soir). The restyle of the refillable bottle emphasizes now the panther’s head with more organic features, matching all the way Cartier’s iconic jewelry.

Oz Parfum Lilith – Sombre héroïne (Pierre Bénard Ségu): When a sublime inspirational imagery meets masterful craftsmanship in a daring olfactory shape a perfume lover can’t help but rejoice greatly. When the resulting fragrance is also housed in an exquisitely handcrafted porcelain flacon, the only word is gesamkunstwerk. This is the case of Lilith – Sombre Héroïne by Pierre Bénard Ségu, an emblematic tuberose interpretation perfectly balancing all the aspects of the mystery flower absolute: the sharp greens of minty cardamom, the dewy muguet crispness, the milky voluptuousness, as well as the ravaging trail of sensuous sandalwood. Its authentic, bold signature along with its undoubted refinement are the ultimate expression of the French savoir faire when it comes to indie perfumery, and on my top ten perfumes of 2024 for sure. @oz_parfums @osmoart

If you live in the New York Area, meet Pierre at The Fragrance Alliance Network February 15th, read more and buy your ticked here. -Michelyn

Hiram Green Philtre: Inspired by the legendary love story of Tristan and Isolde, independent natural perfumer Hiram Green launched in 2024 Philtre, which immediately won me over for the richest, multilayered rendition of carnation  I  have smelled in decades.. Opening with a peppery blast, it reveals a captivating floral and balmy explosion that’s totally awesome. @hiram_green

Le Jardin Retrouvé Violet Kew (Maxence Moutte): “Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance” – In 2024 I attended 3 international perfume shows, and smelled more than 500 new launches, but nothing like Le Jardin Retrouvé Violette Kew embodies at best these words of Coco Chanel. Crafted by perfumer Maxence Moutte, this optimistic field of violet flowers sings its charming classic melody orchestrated with deeper modern counterpoints. Effortlessly elegant, Violet Kew is something you long for when nothing seems to fit your bill, olfactory speaking. @lejardinretrouve @maxencemoutte

Tayshaba Cache Myrrhe: Mentored by Perfumer Marc-Antoine Corticchiato, Ms. El Khalifa crafted her own brand Tayshaba pouring French savoir faire and her Sudanese heritage. Cache Myrrhe is the composition that struck me as the best example of this cultural encounter, for myrrh shines like a cabochon chatoyant gemstone glowing in crimson rose reflections set against the hypnotizing peach-chypre tiger eye grain. Blending classic perfumery and unconventional African hints, El Khalifa’s creations like Cache Myrrhe are so qualitative, multifaceted, and unique they gave me new hope that Artistic Perfumery’s not dead. @tayshaba.paris

Ermano Picco, Editor

What are the top ten perfumes of 2024

In no particular order my top ten perfumes of 2024 (I have 13, a lucky number). –Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

Astrophil & Stella In Extremis (Meo Fusciuni): When I learned Meo Fusciuni was the nose, and that Caravaggio was the muse, my heart quickened. I was not disappointed; Astrophil & Stella In Extremis is the essence of the revolutionary painter made liquid. There is an intense realism, perhaps a bit unsettling at first that draws you in. Dark and light, a study in defiant chiaroscuro.

Badar Parfums Estelle (Margaux LE PAIH-GUÉRIN): The first launch from Badar Parfums, my best discovery of 2024, Estelle, is an example of a gourmand done right. Rich, resinous and luxurious with a stunning honeyed plum note, it smells uniquely modern yet with a touch of classic French perfumery.

The Different Company Red Burning Night (Marion Costero): Created by Brazilian perfumer Marion Costero of Givaudan, is quite possibly the most sensual jasmine I have smelt in quite some time.  Jasmine flowers bloom through the baked and dusty ground under a canopy of stars. @thedifferentcompany

Eau de Boujee Infleurno: Perfumer Pia Long and Creative Director Nick Gilbert bottle the myth of Persephone, the goddess of spring and Queen of the Underworld as she waves goodbye to Hades in this charred sulphuric fruity chypre. You will see Infleurno in a number of our editors top ten perfumes of 2024-Michelyn Camen @boujeebougies @perfumer.pia @nickrgilbert

Hiram Green Philtre: Our natural perfumer of 2024, Hiram Green has composed a modern day love potion is the most photorealistic carnation fragrance I have smelt, with a nod to Caron’s Belladogia, (although Hiram goes his own way). With a crisp dark clove-like bite this is what carnations were meant to smell like. I am under its spell.  @hiram_green

Meo Fusciuni BUIO (Guiseppe Imprezzabile)

Everything is dark around the house.

I was little when I prayed to the Angels.

I was little when I believed in the sky.

I would like to cover everything with this darkness,

I would like to close my eyes and smell only its scent. -Meo Fusciuni

A great perfume must tell a story that is authentic and resonates with the wearer. In BUIO  (dark or darkness in Italian) Guiseppe Imprezzabile, (my perfumer of the year) gives us a glimpse into his soul as he battles the darkness that surrounds him. BUIO is indeed a dark perfume, it challenged me with its inky dark notes of cade, Frankincense and then transformed slowly into the equivalent of olfactive hope; the warmth of amber and labdanum is like a shaft of sun through the starless night. We have all battled despair in our lives, and BUIO reminds us we must embrace it before you see the light. @meofusciuni

Nicolaï Parfumeur-Créateur Pavlova (Patricia de Nicolaï): Pavlova is an elegant and impressive olfactive dessert that elevates  the gourmand category into haute Parfumerie. Madame de Nicolai has created a luscious, yet airy fruity delight, that winks at the renowned ballerina Anna Pavlova, which some sources credit for the cake’s name. En Pointe, Madame.

Voyage Imaginaires Comme Un Gant (Isabelle Doyen and Camille Goutal): There is something to be said about a perfume that you wear each night before going to sleep. Sandalwood, vanilla, and coconut create a soft aura, an olfactive pillow, that quietly sings a soothing song on my skin, lulling me into slumber. Serenity in a bottle; brought to us by two of the most revered women in perfumery.

Top Ten Fragrances of 2024

Marc-Antoine Barrois Tilia (Quentin Bisch): In a year of outstanding florals, Tilia shined like the star in the brand’s imaginary constellation. Tilleul is the French word for Linden Blossom, and here it is intoxicating and softly sensual in the best possible way, surrounded by jasmine and seductive woods. Where I grew up, the streets were lined with linden blossom trees. I remember as a young girl, my dad taking me out at dusk as the sun was setting and lifting me to smell them. I remember almost fainting from pleasure as the air was filled with their heady aroma, and a hint of the bark  clung to my fingers long after. That is the magic of perfume, to instantly recreate a scent memory in a single spray. @marcantoinebarrois @quentinbischperfumer

Sarah Baker Peach’s Revenge (Chris Maurice): In an orchard of peach perfumes this year, Peach’s Revenge was a real standout. Is she juicy? Yes, but she’s also a little tipsy from the amaretto she’s been drinking. Peach’s Revenge has an old Hollywood glamour vibe reminding me of Jean Harlow, silky and curvy, but with sharp nails of amber and a bad-girl edge. @houseofsarahbaker @cdlaniche

MATIERE PREMIERE Santal Austral EXTRAIT(Aurelien Guichard): I referred to the many extraits that were released in 2024, some of the best were from MATIERE PREMIERE and it was difficult  to choose  just one to feature in my top ten perfumes of 2024. I chose Santal Austral Extrait as it seamlessly brought together two dualities; silky white woods with the hero ingredient Black Cardamom Absolute from Nepal (which is unique to MATIERE PREMIERE). Sandalwood is known for it calming effects, but Santal Austral Extrait is sexy and ready for an evening out.

Essential Parfums Neroli Botanica (Ann Flipo): In the masterful hands of Ann Flipo, Neroli Botanica brings me summer all year long. More floral, than citrus, this genderless fragrance is a new spin on orange blossom; lush, green, solar and woody. It is one of the best orange blossom fragrances I have ever smelt, with exceptional longevity. Neroli Botanica (the 10th for Essential Parfums) takes me to a warm, happy place with each spray. @essential. parfums  @annflipoperfumer

Kajal Äican (Huseyin Erdogmus, Ozge Erdogmus Altinel and Gokhan Simsek EPS Fragrances): As I wrote in Part 1, “Äican, pronounced “I can” is an Arabic term representing gold that has been purified of all imperfections. A piece can be hidden beneath layers of earth and stone, yet even through the darkness, its radiance is not lessened.” This is very much how Kajal Äican unfolds, in layers. Opening with tropical fruit blended seamlessly, so that there’s no need to pick out each note. The next layer uncovers a spicy and dramatic complexity that reveals hints of gold in the ginger at the heart. As we near the drydown, more gold brilliance shines in amber and tawny vanilla. Äican is one of my top ten perfumes of the year because of its radiance and the confidence I feel wearing it. @kajalperfumes @epsfragrances

I just adore these lists. I’m excited to get my nose on some of these listed to see for myself what makes them worthy. I have no doubt I’ll be able to detect excellent craftsmanship and unique profiles. I especially would love to get my nose on Estelle, as I can see wearing her would bring me joy. As far as the draw, it’s very hard to choose. I think Kajal’s Äican would be something fantastic to wear and the most versatile for me. I hope everyone had a joyful holiday and that you bring in the new year with gratitude and blessings. I live in Oregon.

  • Roshan Mathew says:

Great selections! Influerno and Comme un Gant, Dormire el sol and Encens Copal all sound really good to me! Have tried Tilia but Getting samples of the others right away! I am in the US and would love to win Frassai Dormire el sol!

  • I also love these lists. I can tell I have similar tastes to Michelyn. I’ve sampled some of the fragrances she mentions and loved them as well. I’m now going to look up all the others she has on her list and work on getting samples. I would love to win Kamala Aican.
    Utah, USA

  • I think that it’s a great list that’s useful and helps to chose some beautiful perfumes and I really appreciate this. I would love try out Kajal ÄICAN. I live in Trzebnica, Poland, EU. I would love to win Kajal ÄICAN

  • I just started a list and I’m writing down all that I need to sample based on your top fragrances. This year I have only tries a few of those that are mentioned in this post. For example Tilia…it is such a magnificent fragrances. I proudly own a bottle! The most interesting that I really need to tru next is the Frassai Dormer al Sol and Boujee Bougies Infleurno. Both sound amazing. I already love Frassai and I’ve heard great things about Boujee Bougies even before this post. From those that are offered as a giveaway I’m choosing Frassai Dormer al Sol of course. I’m from Illinois, US. Cheers!

  • These blogs make me wish there was there was a shop down the road from me where I could try all the various fragrances listed in one massive browsing spree. Although, the beauty of niche perfumes is that they’re always slightly out of reach. They might only be available in one shop across the globe or cost an absolute fortune, but that just makes them so much more enticing. I’m hooked on this stuff and I become more entranced by the day. I love that so much credit and praise goes towards the perfumers in these reviews. It makes it feel personal rather than being a lifeless advertisement designed to glorify everything. After inspecting the three fragrances on offer for the giveaway, I was scratching my head, wondering what to go for. They all look amazing. I’ve never tried any of them before though, so I had to choose the one that’s most probable to align with my taste. Frassaï Dormir al Sol immediately stood out to me. Anything with natural, woody notes will inevitably suit me but I also love the simplicity of its design and the inclusion of notes such as mimosa and black pepper. Had it not been for the blog, of course, I would never have heard of it. Happy new year and thank you for sharing these wonderful fragrances with us. Greece, EU.

  • Thank you for sharing your top ten fragrances of 2024. I am particularly intrigued by Tilia by Marc-Antoine Barrois. The idea of a fragrance inspired by the linden tree and its soothing qualities captures my imagination. I am drawn to how this scent could evoke both elegance and comfort, and I would love the opportunity to experience its artistry. Thank you for the chance, and warm holiday wishes to the ÇaFleureBon team!

  • I haven’t tried any of the listed scents, though I have sampled from some of the perfumers who created them. I actually made a list of things I’d like to try from these descriptions, starting with the Estee Lauder, which is a suprise as it’s never been my go-to brand, and ending with Red Burning Night, another suprise as jasmine can go odd on me. But such persuasive description leads me this way. If picked, I would select teh Encens Copal (yup, on the try list now). I live in the US.

  • Among your best perfumes, I want to try Tilia, Infleurno, buio, neroli botanica but the one that intrigues me the most is Aican “Äican, pronounced “I can” is an Arabic term representing gold that has been purified of all imperfections. A piece can be hidden beneath layers of earth and stone, yet even through the darkness, its radiance is not lessened.” I find it so powerful as an inspiration, I really have to smell it! I live in France, EU.

  • PerfumesforLife says:

Excellent review of a busy year. I found out that I did not smell enough new productions this year. I was intrigued by Kajal’s Aican since I am a fan of spicy fruity creations. Neroli Botanical also is super interesting as a summer unisex fragrance. Peach’s revenge is also super interesting as I am a fan of fruity notes. I would be interested in trying Kajal’s Aican from the items offered. Thank you very much.

  • As I have been reading your articles, I have noticed how well put together your perfume takes are. I can tell these reviews come from people who admire the craft of perfumery. As for the fragrance that caught my attention, Äican Kajal is the one that pulled me in. First off, I mean the bottle looks beautiful. And the juice inside seems like a tropical get-away(that would be nice just about now). If I were to win the giveaway, I would choose this one. I live in Ma, Usa.

  • Wow! Michelyn, I am delighted to let you know that 7 of your 13 “Best Of” choices are at Indigo Perfumery!

And we agree- In Extremis by Astrophil and Stella, Infleurno by Eau de Boujee, Philtre by Hiram Green, Buio by Meo Fusciuni, Comme Une Gant by Voyages Imaginaires, Tilia by Marc-Antoine Barrois and Neroli Botanica by Essential Parfums are stellar perfumes!

  • Michelyn and Ermanno’s ‘Best of Fragrance’ post part 2
beautifully captures the essence of a remarkable year in the perfume industry. Their top 10 selections highlight the incredible diversity and creativity that emerged, showcasing innovative compositions and unique scent profiles. It’s a testament to how perfumes can evoke emotions and tell stories, allowing us to explore different facets of olfactory artistry. An inspiring round-up that truly celebrates the richness of fragrance! I would love Encens Copal I am in the USA.

  • I love how varied the selection is and no overlap between Michelyn’s and Ermano’s picks. These Matiere Premiere extraits are certainly fragrances I’d like to sample as well as Kajal’s Aican. I love that also smaller niche houses and independent perfumers are getting their moment in the spotlight and being featured here for pushing the boundaries. Sometimes what prevents us from trying many of these fragrances is accessibility as they’re not readily available everywhere but we can only hope that changes soon. If I were to win, Kajal’s Aican would be my choice as I have been looking for an invigorating fruity fragrance for the summer. I’m located in the USA.

  • I’m not really a gourmand guy, but Pavlova sounds interesting! The Fath Encens Copal would be my preferred bottle for the drawing. Thanks!

  • What an array of perfumes 2024 brought us! I can’t help but wonder what direction we’ll be going in, olfactorily speaking, for 2025.

Thank you for your reviews, and I’m looking forward to Nikoleta and Ida’s wrap ups as well. It’s so interesting to hear what speaks to everyone individually.

I live in the USA, and would absolutely love to win Encens Copal.

  • I’m looking forward to sniffing Alcove. I’m drawn to the sandalwood. I love myrrhe and Cache Myrrhe is already on my wishlist. Neroli Botanica, by Ann Filipo sounds perfect for warmer weather with its orange blossom vibe. If lucky, I’d choose Encens Copal. MI USA

  • What sparked my interest is the trend of creative experiments and artistry in perfumery amidst many repetitive releases. I am drawn to the idea of perfumery as an art form and a means of self-expression.

From Ermano Picco’s list, I’m particularly interested in Jacques Fath Encens Copal—a blend of incense, citrus, and florals with a “joie de vivre.”
I’ve also tried Frassai Dormir al Sol—such a delightful mimosa fragrance!
Another intriguing one for me is Tayshaba Cache Myrrhe with its exotic combination of myrrh and rose.

From Michelyn’s list, I’m fascinated by Astrophil & Stella In Extremis, a dark and dramatic scent inspired by Caravaggio. I’ve also tried Essential Parfums Neroli Botanica, which for me is an unusual interpretation of neroli with earthy patchouli. The fragrance plays on contrasts of light and dark, and I appreciate this balance between classicism and experimentation.

It’s truly remarkable how many of these perfumes emphasize cultural roots, craftsmanship, and individuality, making them well worth attention.

I would love to win Jacques Fath Encens Copal.
    I am from the EU.

  • another great fragrance list, infleurno and alcove sound very interesting, but the fragrance that spikes my interest the most is kajal by aican, i’d love to win it
    I am from serbia, EU

  • Lovely list. I have been hearing of Kajal’s Aican for a while and reading if its rich history with the Arabic expression of gold has made it more interesting for me. I would love to own a bottle of it.

    Boston, USA/ Ottawa, ON

  • Love a good list, or two! I know a couple of these, Violette Kew and Frassai’s, and they are indeed noteworthy. I am growingly disappointed by the myriad “niche” launches with fancy background stories but little substance, so your lists give me hope around artistic perfumery surviving against easy moneygrabs. Encens Copal has been on my wishlist to try for a while now, so I would have to choose that, though I will go have a look at Tayshaba now… Best wishes to all from the UK.

  • I just adore these lists. I’m excited to get my nose on some of these listed to see for myself what makes them worthy. I especially would love to get my nose on Estelle, as I can see wearing her would bring me joy. As far as the draw, it’s very hard to choose. I live in USA.

  • just a stunning list of masterpieces.
I love this site because chooses to value each perfume as an experience, describing in all the reviews the images that brings to the mind, and only in the end the notes not really essential to describe parfumes of this caliber.
I would be happy to try any of the three parfumes, but if I have to choose I’d say Aican.
    cheers from Italy.

  • Happy to discover not one but three of this year’s favorites in Michelyn’s list: Santal Austral Extrait, Tilia and In Extremis- I must admit that I purchased them based on your reviews here.

I would love to try Kajal ÄICAN, and winning a bottle would be like an extended Christmas.

Thank you for your generosity of time and information to educate my palate. I must say you guys always spark my interest.

    I live in Portugal/EU

  • These lists are always so much fun! I love to see what I have or have tried and what I missed! Or what I believe should have been on the list. I’m so pleased to see my beloved violet note getting space and Violet Kew is one of my favorites for sure, along with Meo Fusciuni’s Viole Nere. His Little Song is addictive too! There are some others I am completely in agreeance with a few I’d long to try like Infleurno and Cache Myrrhe. I do think Teone Reinthal’s Night Train to Surat Thani should have made the list.
As far as the generous giveaway… ooof tough choices! I think the Encens Copal by
Jacques Fath edged forward by just a hair.
    I am in the USA.

  • Sorohan Adriana says:

Interesting list of perfumes! Pavlova is my favorite desert but in parfumery I like floral perfume. I am from EU

  • These few words to tell you that I am very proud that Lilith, sombre héroïne has been selected among the Top Ten Fragrances of 2024.

Michelyn and Ermano, this message to thank you for this surprise, this end-of-year gift!

    To your stars!

  • I want to try anything I haven’t tried. For the draw I’ll chose Encens Copal. I’d like to try AICAN soon as well. US

  • The top ten countdown this time makes me want to go shopping. I’m trying to “shop my collection” instead but there are so many exciting perfumes on this list that I haven’t tried. Dormir al Sol sounds positively spectacular, my love for mimosa is intense and my trust in Frassai is through the roof. I love the name and the review likening it to a ‘dreamscape’ with a ‘wellbeing golden pillow’ makes it sound like a balm for the soul. Every Frassai perfume I’ve tried has been sumptuous and meticulously composed. I’d LOVE to win that one…. I’m in the USA, thank you for another great year of blogging and for the draw.

  • Great choices both form Michelin and Ermano. Äican, pronounced “I can” is an Arabic term representing gold that has been purified of all imperfections. But Aican really stood out for me particularly the tropical fruits, vanilla, spices and amber. Thanks a lot from the UK

It was really difficult to choose but Aican with spices, vanilla and amber just sounds mesmerising. Thanks a million from the UK

  • Hello:
I would love to win the Jacques Fath one. I love your content especially on the American indie perfumes. I loved the Francesca Bianchi Voluptuous oud, Sarah Baker Peaches Revenge and everything i tried from Olympic Orchids and Papillon Artisan perfumery. Have a great 2025.

  • Wonderful selection of fragrances. I hope to sample them all. I’m mostly excited about Kajal ÄICAN. This fragrance house is a favorite of mine. The bottle’s are a work of art. My pick would be Kajal ÄICAN. Thank you for this chance USA

  • excellent list, they all sound nice, but Dormir al sol sounds especially captivating, the sweet tobacco scent sounds great, i’d like to try Encens Copal
    EU

  • Thanks for the interesting overview. As always very nice selection. I personally would like to try Meo Fusciuni Buio, Santal Austral Extrait and Jacques Fath Encens Copal. They sound very intriguing for my taste. I would like to win ENCENS COPAL by Jacques Fath as I am a big fan of the brand. I already own Vetiver Gris and Tempete d’Automne which are outstanding in their categories. I like incense based scents, so Encens Copal could be my next favourite one. I find such perfumes very calming and meditative. Greetings from EU.

  • Masque Milano’s Alcove sounds absolutely transcendent. The way Karine Chevallier has transformed sandalwood from a single note into a complete olfactory journey is remarkable.Would love to win the Kajal ÄICAN.

It’s wonderful seeing indie brands like Eau de Boujee receiving recognition alongside established houses. Their interpretation of the Persephone myth through both spring flowers and hellish elements shows such creative vision. I’d love to win Aican.

  • I just discovered Meo Fuscini this past year, having sampled some of his fragrances in a Florence boutique and purchasing a bottle of Spirito, so the two new fragrances did draw my interest. I also smelled Nicolai’s three new gourmands and thought that Pavlova was the best of the three (and gifted a bottle this holiday season). Encens Copal did catch my eye and, if I was lucky enough to be chosen, I would be very interested in this perfume. It sound like a fragrance I would truly enjoy. I live in the US.

Badar Parfums’ debut with Estelle shows such promise. The combination of modern appeal with classic French perfumery techniques sounds perfectly balanced. Entering for the Kajal’s Äican – their thoughtful approach to composition really appeals to me. (US resident)
