Top St. Patrick’s Day Fragrances 2023: CREED Green Irish Tweed, For the Scent of It Mystic Vert and Parfums de Marly Greenley + Giveaways

Best Fragrances for St. Patrick's Day 2023

St. Patrick’s Day Fragrances collage by Steven

March 17, 2023 is St. Patrick’s Day, a day when everyone claims Irish ancestry, the streets (and people’s faces) are painted green, and green beer is an annual tradition. Green perfumes are leafy, mossy, grassy and sometimes dark and sharp scents that immediately suggest the beauty of nature, walks in the forest or through a garden. Steven Gavrielatos and I co-curate the three green fragrances you should be wearing for St. Patrick’s Day. –Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

CREED Green Irish Tweed (Pierre Bourdin)1985: The GOAT green fragrance for St. Patrick’s Day was composed in 1985, (by master perfumer Pierre Bourdon, who was a student of the great Edmond Roudnitska). CREED Green Irish Tweed opens with a burst of lemon and verbena that lead you down a road in Tipperary covered in green moss to the quiet of violet leaves still dewy with raindrops. The cologne winds its way to a base of mildly sweet sandalwood and ambergris. Green Irish Tweed that has its roots in classic Fougères but settles into a comfortable skin scent. -Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

Parfums de Marly Greenley (2020) lives up to its namesake… it is green, citrusy, fruity and fresh at the top, with a note Givaudan captive pomorose© which brings to mind a juicy and tart green apple. The drydown takes us from the orchard to a walk in the woods. Amberwood keeps the subtle sweetness alive in the base while cashmeran adds depth and woodiness. Notes: Sicilian Bergamot, Mandarin, Green Apple, Cashmere Wood, Cedarwood, Petitgrain, Violet, Pomarose©, Oakmoss, Musk, Amberwood Accord– Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

For the Scent of It Mystic Vert (Michael Schrammel) 2022: Michael Schrammel, the perfumer (and my Best Discovery of 2022 shares his insights into For The Scent Of It Mystic Vert which began as a personal experiment, and is one of my favorites because this green perfume is shrouded in moss and mystery. “Magic and mysticism have always been endearing for me. The idea of invisible forces that can bend reality and time itself. Just as well, galbanum is a favorite aroma of mine. Galbanum is just as endearing to me, due to its potent, resinous green aroma. I see it as an invisible force that can bend a perfume into an entirely new realm. It is one of the most mystifying notes found within a “Perfumers’ Spell Book”. It was Galbanum that led to Mystic Vert. I had an accord I created that was a “Wizard in the Woods,” which featured a prominent galbanum note surrounded in a dry leather, like the worn leather robes surrounding a Wizard. I imagined a lone wizard, pushed out of the modern world, living deep within an ancient forest.  Just as St. Patrick’s Day celebrates the arrival of Saint Patrick and Christianity into Ireland, pushing out the Celtic pagans; this wizard and his ways must now reside deep within this forest. A story as old as time itself.” TOP: Galbanum, Citrus Peel, Pine Balsam, Black Pepper; HEART: Ash, Cedar, Valley Lily, Jasmine Abs., BASE: Leather, Oakmoss, Amber, Dark Patchouli

  • Much respect for one of the most famous ’green’ fragrances on the market, Creeds Green Irish Tweed. Without that fragrance many fragrances would simply not exist. But my personal taste leans more towards Parfums de Marly Greenley. I am already a proud owner of Layton and it seems that Greenley would complement my collection and take role as a spring time fragrance .

  • This is a fun topic, both the article and video. Steven let the cat out of the bag about the nose behind Creed GIT. Michelyn painted a nic picture about St. Patrick’s Day and all things green.
I’d pick PDM first but they both sound great. New Jersey, USA

  • ramsesperez52 says:

Steven always communicates exactly what a fragrance conveys so in light of me wanting to win the Parfums De Marly Greenley, when he says Greenley gives a green vibe and the green apple note, it’s perfect for the Spring. I like that Michelyn says it takes you from the orchard to a walk in the woods as I do like some depth to my fragrances. Cheers from NJ, USA.

  • From the written intro I enjoyed reading of For the Scent of it Mystic Vert because I have never heard of that fragrance before. From the video I learned patchouli is considered a green note. I’ll choose for the draw, Greenley. US

  • milleroots1223 says:

Great reviews as always. I always love the background that Steven gives on the perfumers behind the scents, and Michelyn always manages to paint a perfect picture of what a fragrance smells like in my mind.

Greetings from Ontario, Canada, and it would be fantastic to get my hands on that bottle of Parfums de Marly Greenley. I sampled the scent a few months ago and I’ve been debating picking it up for the Spring season!

  • I love the description of all the fragrances on both the video and this article. I’ve wanted Greenley and Green Irish Tweed for a while. But love introduction of Mystic Vert as it’s was not a fragrance on my radar, as well as the inspiration of it (especially as someone who’s always been a fan of magic and mysticism in fiction).

  • Brad Woolslayer says:

Nice to hear about 3 amazing fragrances for spring 2023. GIT if a classic and will remain on the list indefinely. It was nice to hear Steven’s take on these three fragrances and saying how he enjoyed the green apple dominate Greenley. I also enjoyed Michelyn’s introduction and how St. Patrick’s Day inspires walking through the forest or a garden. I would love to win a bottle of Parfums de Marley Greenley. I live in Maryland USA.

  • What I most appreciated about both Steven’s video and Michelyn’s post was introducing me to Mystic Vert. I love galbanum in fragrances and I was utterly unaware of this perfume (and of the entire For the Scent of It line). Not surprisingly, that’s also the scent I’d like to win. Thanks, as always, for your generous giveaways. I’m in Oklahoma, USA.

  • Jakub Pacyna says:

Always interested in discovering new niche houses and scenta but staples from PDM also standing strong

  • All 3 fragrances sound amazing. From Steven’s video, his description of Greenley as being “musky with a touch of sweetness and bright apple note” sounds so good to me. From Michelyn’s notes on Greenley as a walk in the orchard and the mention the Pomarose note that harkens a juicy green apple, I am definitely needing to try this one! I am in the US, in Illinois – thanks!

  • Michelyn’s brief talk about green fragrances offering a blast of nature and an experience akin to a walk through a garden immediately connected with me, especially as the transportive power of fragrances is one of my favorite things in the world. I also liked Michelyn’s description of Greenley’s green apple note transitioning into the woods and musks in the base. I haven’t experienced many fragrances with green apple in them and it sounds like an interesting note. Steven’s description of it as a great fragrance for the warmer weather made me happy because I really need to expand my collection of brighter, fresher fragrances. I have a ton of heavy hitters and sometimes struggle to find somethign to wear when it gets hot outside. That said, I would choose Greenley if I was to be selected. I live in NC, USA.

  • I enjoyed Steven’s breakdown of the scent as well as his endless knowledge of both the scent and people behind the perfume. Michelyn’s review paints quite a vivid image in the mind of the reader and can easily convince anyone that even the scent of a stinkbug is a scent worth smelling.
The house of Parfum de Marly is great and I absolutely love Layton. I picked that bottle up last year and it has been my go to scent ever since. I sampled Greenley when I purchased Layton and boy was I amazed by the scent. I would love to win that bottle. I live in Fresno California and would love to add Greenley to my collection. Thank you.

  • I recently watched a fragrance review by Steven Gavrielatos on YouTube, where he discussed three fragrances – Mystic Vert by For the Scent of It, Greenley by Parfums de Marly, and Green Irish Tweed by CREED. The review was incredibly informative, as Steven went into great detail about the individual notes and the overall scent profile of each fragrance. I particularly appreciated his honest opinions on the longevity and projection of the scents. Overall, I found the review to be very helpful in making an informed decision about which fragrance to purchase. Additionally, Steven is currently running a giveaway competition, and I would love to be entered to win one of these fantastic fragrances!

  • Greg Graham Sr says:

Hello Steven and Cafleurebon and Michelyn, thank you for your generosity. GIT is a favorite of mine and I would love to have Greenley. It like walking in a Forrest or garden. Thank you again.

  • I’m a big fan of the article and Stephen’s video. My favorite part of Michelyn’s intro was the history about St. Patrick’s Day and how the green notes in fragrances mesh with the holiday. My favorite part of the video from Stephen was him mentioning how Creed Green Irish Tweed and Davidoff Cool Water were created by the same perfumer, I always wondered why they were so similar.

I like both of the fragrances involved in the raffle but I would like to be entered in the raffle for Greenely as Parfums De Marly is my favorite fragrance brand.

Im located in Michigan, USA and would like a green fragrance to wear once spring begins and all the snow is gone. My Instagram is keenan___________ and I will be following the cafleurbon page.

  • Julian Santoyo says:

Wow so interesting & enjoyable content.

    Parfums de Marly Greenley

  • Love the 3 picked Fragrances. I do know all of the Fragrance houses. My most favorite from sampling is PDM Greenley. Michelyn’s introduction and Steven’s Video says it all. It’s a fresh citrus green unisex Fragrance definitely perfect for Springtime. My choice Greenley Thank you for this Chance USA

  • Michelyn’s introduction reminded me to take some walk in the coming days, as the trees are just starting to bud and turn green in places. Liked Michael’s quote where he describes the perfume and it’s mystic elements. Description of perfumes and lists of their notes in Michelyn’s introduction is very helpful.

All three perfumes are lovely. I learned from Steven’s video review that Pierre Bourdon is one who composed Davidoff Cool Water. By taking about Aspen and Cool Water, I got a good sense of Green Irish Tweed, which I have not tried before. Love Steven’s video reviews and his personal take on the different characteristics of various perfumes. I must say I love Parfums de Marly bottles, and Parfums de Marly Greenley bottle is no exception. I would love to win Parfums de Marly Greenley.

Thanks to Michelyn for her descriptive introductions and Steven for his honest, nuanced reviews. I am a Redolessence subscriber and am from the continental United States.

  • From Steven’s video review I really liked that he described the bright green elements of PDM’s Greenley as opposed to some of the more “earthy” green elements that you get with other fragrances.

I also enjoyed the background that Michelyn provided in this post regarding Michael Schrammel and his fragrances. I loved the descriptions that he shared about the inspiration of a wizard and their worn leather robes. I had never heard of him before and I’m definitely interested in learning more about his fragrance house.

I live in Phoenix, AZ and with all of the warm weather and sun we get, these are all amazing options.

I would prefer Greenley if I were to win, but would be equally excited to try Mystic Vert.

  • Joel Franco says:

One of the notes most beatiful for me the green note, thanks cafleurebon and Steve Gabrielattos

  • StMike3737 says:

Steven’s description of all the fragrances makes me want to order all immediately. I already own Green Irish Tweed but I use it so much a back up one is in order. PDM’s Greenly was on my radar last year however by the time I was ready to pull the trigger winter had rushed in, so I chose to postpone the buy until Springtime came around. After I finished watching the video I started looking for a Greenly bottle from a reputable seller on Ebay. The last frag mentioned I was unaware of so I’ll have to look for one soon. Thx for the info Steven !

  • Greenly, a lot of noses I know don’t like it, but man it smells so good to me! I hope to finally add this to the collection

  • Chris Topher says:

Mystic Vert sounds very interesting and right up my alley. Would love to win this one.

  • Greenley may be my favorite fragrance I don’t own yet. Had a sample and it knocked my socks off. Wish I had enough money to afford it for my wedding, but oh well. Still gorgeous.

  • Waylandn721 says:

Fantastic description of the fragrances in article and video. Green Irish tweed is such a amazing scent. At first I did not care for it, but over time it became one of my all time favorites. Perfect for this time of year and really gives you that sense of spring. Parfum de marley Greenley is spring in bottle to near perfection and deserves more attention.

  • Steven is the best reviewer on youtube, always giving detailed information of every fragrance he shows. This video wasn’t any different and I loved how he described GIT

  • Gotta admit I love green Irish tweed. Green is the best way I can x3scribe it. Really would be nice to smell the others some day!!

  • I’ve been on the market for a green fragrance for a while, always happy to see some top choices in a certain category. But I have not heard of it and need to sample Mystique Vert and see which one I’m gonna have to go for.

  • P@CoD@Gr34t says:

Thanks to Steven’s video with explaining the scent profile of PDM Greenley. I have Creed GIT, and enjoy its scent profile. I have not yet got my nose on PDM Greenley, I’d hope to win Greenley to wear during the Los Angeles summer months.

  • Steven always does a great job of presenting in detail these fragrances, one of my favorite reviewers on youtube! I would love to win that bottle of Parfums de Marly Greenley. I’m from Puerto Rico.

  • ianbradleyandrews says:

Wow I love greenly. It’s so bright and fresh. Steven makes it sound so cool and fresh. Michelyn describes the apple so well. I’d love to win it. I live in Indiana.

  • It’s probably my first time seeing St. Patrick’s day and fragrance together in a sentence together as I really haven’t tonight about it. Really enjoyed the imagery in Michelyn’s review as it really helped to learn about new scents that I’ve haven’t smelt before. Steven did a really good job highlighting the notes in these fragrances, especially on Parfums De Marly Greenly. If I won, I would have to pick PDM Greenly. From TX, USA.

  • Adrian Herrera says:

Steven makes great videos on YouTube i watch everyday! I really like parfums de Marley colognes I would definitely like to try greenley I have not smelled anything with green apple! Michelyn has a great review I can imagine how the green apple smells in the air! Portland Oregon

  • I have been enjoying green fragrances much more as of late, especially with the holiday coming up, it is a pleasure to see these fragrances featured. Mystic Vert is a new discovery to me & I am intrigued by this mysterious fragrance For the Scent of It.

This is my first time reading your blog; I only learned about it after watching Redolessence’s video.
TBH: liked Steven’s new lenses look in the video.
I always look for fragrance reviews as I love collecting fragrances and want to get the best ones out there however, there are some I can afford but there are some which are out of budget, and winning a niche fragrance would be so amazing. I also usually don’t win anything but no harm in trying :-).
I live in Bay Area, California, and would love to win Parfums de Marly Greenley.

My instagram handle is mananpreet and I have started following you.

  • So because of Steven’s video I realized that out of my 20+ bottles I have nothing “green”. I then went to For The Scent of It site and ordered Mystic Vert and Oak Cobbler (sounds amazing!) to add to my collection some home grown, hand poured, bottles that are unique and personal. Can’t wait to get my nose on both! Normally don’t blind buy but I’m like 10 for 10 so far. I appreciate Steven’s reviews and insight find them to be very helpful in my journey of fragrances. Michelyn’s intro helped me visualize what a green fragrance is and what I’m missing in my collection.
    New Jersey USA

  • I always appreciate Stevens attention to details and Michelyn’s feel from the fragrance. Great balance! I know it’s blasphemous but I’ve never liked the shaving cream soapy quality of GIT. And since Steven mentioned the green apple note in Greenly and I’m not a huge fan of apple I’ll have to with my tried and true beloved house For The Scent of It’s Mystic Verte. Besides who can resist a wizened wizard in a Pine and Cedar forest with a bit of galbanum in his pocket and a fresh posey of Jasmine upon his chest? Followed you on IG as simone.samba

Thank you so much Cafluerebon and For The Scent of It for this chance to be Lucky!!

  • ThatMulattoDude says:

This is really a tough one as I have an affinity for green fragrances. One of the scents I vividly remember rocking in my childhood was Polo Green. I had a sample of GIT a ways back and enjoyed it immensely. I wish that was up for giveaway actually, hahaha. I digress, I do like the quality of PdM fragrances and Greenley sounds like another banger. For the Scent of It sounds intriguing…maybe something a little more daring with a higher ceiling but lower floor in terms of wide was of appeal. If I were to win, I’d choose For the Scent of It. I’m in the phase of my scent journey where I’m seeking more potentially challenging scents, off the beaten path if you will. This article and Steven’s accompanying video are excellent. Thanks for the generosity of the giveaway. Many blessings from Virginia, USA!

Green fragrances have always been one of my favorites. I really like how Steven talks about the top 3 green fragrances. I got to smell Green Irish Tweed and Greenley before and I am obsessed with these two. Although For the Scent of It Mystic Vert is brand new to me, I still prefer Greenley from Parfums De Marly better because I live in the heat of Florida.

Thanks for sharing this post about green fragrances for St. Patrick’s Day! As someone who enjoys exploring different scents, I found it interesting to learn about the different notes and compositions of these fragrances. I’ve actually heard a lot about CREED Green Irish Tweed, but I’ve never tried it myself. After reading the description, I’m definitely intrigued and may have to give it a sniff. Parfums de Marly Greenley also is amazing and one of my personal favorites that i have never owned. And For The Scent Of It Mystic Vert seems like a unique and mysterious scent that would be fun to try out. This post has given me some great ideas for ways to incorporate green into my St. Patrick’s Day celebrations beyond just wearing a green shirt!
    Thank you

    Thank you!

  • I liked how Steven described the scents in a very direct way while also providing the atmosphere of the “green”-ess (ie. bright effervescent). I really enjoyed Michelyn providing the quote by Michael Schrammel of the magic which inspired the scent’s creation. Both scents are super enticing, and I do love a green apple note but because of how unique a green spicy earth scent sounds in the video & article, I would choose For the Scent of It Mystic Vert if I won the giveaway. Thank you, from Canada

  • As a person who got into the art of appreciation of fragrances because of Steven, I absolutely couldn’t help but watch the YouTube video alongside read this amazing article. I love that Steven talks about the classic green fragrance, Green Irish Tweed, and encompasses what makes it so classy. I’ve tried out the scent myself and it is amazing, but not worth the price point for me. The other two fragrances, one of them I’ve tried before being Greenly by PDM. Steven’s description of it gives me a really nice picture that fits well from what I remember smelling. The last scent touched on, Mystic Vert, is the one that captured my attention. I have a ton of clean, blue fragrances and have been wanting a more green smelling one for a long time now. I’ve gotten more into earthy snd woody fragrances. Even Steven seemed to be the most pulled toward it which made me even more curious about it. So, I went to all the links in the description and checked out the brand, and was blown away with their beautiful sounding fragrances. In this article blog, I really valued Michelyn’s captivating words to describe each of these fragrances. It really pulled me in and made me want to read more! If I were to win, I’d want the 30ml of Mystic Vert as it just sounds absolutely astonishing for this upcoming spring!

  • Ahhh… Saint Patrick’s Day….
One day, I hope to go to Ireland on that day.

I own Creed Green Irish Tweed, and is a joy of fragrance. It’s one of my top 10 of all time. It’s bold, green, refreshing, elegant. I love it,

From the article and Steven‘a video, Parfum de Marly Greenley is the one that got most of my attention because the crisp green apple note. I don’t own any PDM fragrance and this would be a great addition, and will get the deserved use as well.

Thanks and to the Irish community: Oi……

  • I own one St. Patrick’s Day of the fragrance in the Spring list, Creed Green Irish Tweed .
CREED Green Irish Tweed (Pierre Bourdin)1985
“The GOAT green fragrance for St. Patrick’s Day was composed in 1985”
GIT is an Icon in the fragrance community for a reason , the GOAT indeed.
    Parfums de Marly Greenley (2020)
Being a vain man compliments are really important to me. Greenley with its citruses, fruity green apples tartness, woody touches for sure will both smell awesome, and also get me unsolicited compliments.
For the Scent of It Mystic Vert (Michael Schrammel) 2022
More green, leathery and maybe raw approach to a St. Patrick’s Day based aroma.
I’ll be happy to win Parfums de Marly Greenley
    Exciting giveaway, USA

  • To me, St. Patrick’s day has mixed nuance between Christian and Druid’s symbolisms. Therefore, I expect Mystic Vert would satisfy me with fuller complete experience of this wonderful celebration of spring.
Steven, thank you always for keeping the all time classics such as Green Irish Tweed! It is the wonderful Ambergris I enjoy mixed with green notes. Nevertheless, I would love to try “Wizard in the Woods,” in Mystic Vert!!

The written intro made the mystic vet sound very appealing and a must try! Steven’s video review was informative and he gave good descriptions of all 3 fragrances. I already have tried GIT and it’s great. I would be excited to own Greenley based on his description.

  • Green fragrances always make me happy. I’m not sure if it’s the connection with nature and forest elements or the typical citrus accompaniment but I find them to be optimism in a bottle. Michelyn gave a good description of notes that constitute a “green” fragrance. Steven description of Greenley’s green apple note sold me. I would live to win PdM Greenley. MD, USA

Not sure if it’s because I’m a strict teetotaller, or maybe I missed something, but honestly I was not aware green beer was even a thing…

Green Irish Tweed by Creed , composed by Pierre Bourdin
Timeless fragrance, that will never get old , to me at least.

“CREED Green Irish Tweed opens with…”

To be fair , because of the differences between each and every batch of Creed perfumes, compared to the previous , and the next one , describing how a Creed fragrance smells is a hard thing to do. Sometimes the differences are slim , but sometimes there are more differences , than similarities between two batches , and the openings , the base, the smell, the performance are not the same.

Greenley by Parfums de Marly , to my knowledge composed by Natalie Templer from Mane .
If you’re a fragrance nurd like me, or you bought the fragrance around the same time of the original release , you know it was called Sutton at first, later on changed to Greenley.
I love how the green juicy Granny Smith nuances in Greenley are well pronounced, and not just lurking in the background. I really like the implementation of the note , and how well is mixed with cedar , and personally I get hefty dose of cardamom too.

Mystic Vert by For the Scent of It, composed by Michael Schrammel
Back to the roots green fragrance , but I’ll have to admit galbanum is a scary note to me if overused, especially paired with leather. The same combination galbanum + leather i find particularly scary , in the loved by most Cafleurebon contributors Nuit de Bakélite by Naomi Goodsir.
I’d like to win Greenley by Parfums de Marly
    All profiles I already follow , including @yvanjacqueline , @waltherp99bg

  • B. D. Robinson says:

Green Irish Tweed was the first green & Creed fragrance I tried and it really opened up another old active family of fragrance that I didn’t know I’d enjoy. I was so happy to see Steven include Mystic Vert from For the Scent of It because such a great house that deserves to be talked about more. Michael’s is wonderful and I can’t wait to explore his work more.

I have always been big fan of green fragrances, GIT being the top. Very much curious about Mystic Vert. Thanks for the opportunity guys !!

  • Such a great idea by you both to come up with some green scents for St Patricks Day.
Always love both of your insights and expertise.
I live in Arlington Tennessee and would absolutely love to have Greenley.

  • I absolutely love green scents! I enjoyed Steven’s video and how he mentions all the typical green notes: patchouli, oakmoss and cypress. I guess I didn’t realize it until he mentioned it, those are some of my favorite notes and why I love green scents.

Michelyn’s description of taking a walk through the woods for Greenley made it stand out to me, so Greenley would be my pick if I were to win!

I love the extra excitement you both are bringing to St Patties Day. Steven introduced me to a new fragrance I have yet to hear of, and Michelyn painted the picture to put us right in the middle of the festivities. I love the choices and have had the pleasure to wear Greenley before. I live in Pittsburgh and would thoroughly enjoy being able to wear such an exciting fragrance though spring and summer. As always thank you both!!

  • I really enjoyed reading both the article & watching Steven’s video. I’ve never had or have smelled GIT before but from what I’ve read & from what Steven has said like “…such a beautiful fragrance, very classy, professional, elegant, sophisticated, well groomed, it’s a phenomenal fragrance…” it must be a great fragrance to own.

From what Steven has said about Mystic vert like “… bright green earthy sort of a vibe… also get some pine from time to time… it’s appropriately earthy but then you have that spiciness…” I tend to not like notes of pibe or fragrance’s that have a sent of pine.

Parfums de Marly Greenley Is such a great green musky fragrance. I personally don’t own Parfums de Marly Greenley but one of my friends does have it & has let me borrow it before & now I want to own one my self. That’s why I would pick this one if I were to win the giveaway.

I have followed you guy on Instagram & my Instagram is @aidendixz. I’m from CA, USA. Thank you for the amazing giveaway, happy early St. Patrick’s Day & good luck to all.

  • Great review! I really enjoyed Steven’s video where he talks about these three great fragrances. Greenly sounds amazing! Fresh, juicy and sweet… I don’t have many green perfumes and I would love to add Greenly to my collection!!!! I’m from Massachusetts, US.

  • FragranceIsMe says:

Michelyn and Steven both have a way of bringing by olfactory senses to life through their detailed descriptions of fragrances. I currently own Green Irish Tweed and agree that this is the GOAT of green fragrances. While I have yet to get my nose on Greenley and Mystic Vert, both are fragrances I’d enjoy making a part of my St. Patrick’s Day collection 🙂 I live in the USA.

  • These recommendations are coming at the right time. I like how descriptive this article is and also enjoy watching Steven’s eloquently talk about these fragrance. I have tried GIT and enjoyed. I would like to win Mystic Vert, I’m curious to experience Michael Schrammel’s work.

  • Michelyn has a wonderful way with words and descriptions, I really enjoy how she can transport me as a reader. Steven is precisely descriptive as usual, always enjoy his videos. I would love to win Mystic Vert, this sounds like my kind of fragrance.

  • I like green fragrances and they are perfect for St. Patrick’s day. Steven’s review as very informative as usual and I enjoyed how he describe each of these fragrances. The article on this page is also well written and I also browsed other articles. I will be stopping by here from time to time for a good read. I would like to win Sedley just because I need a green bottle on my perfume shelf lol. Jokes aside I tried a sample and really liked it.

  • Never been to a St. Patrick’s Day parade before, even small event , and I wonder if the green beer is because of some special ingredients, or it’s just a food coloring added to a normal beer??
Everybody knows Green Irish Tweed, fresh and energetic.
Parfums de Marly Greenley is warmer weather fragrance , fresh , natural smelling with some woody nuances . Sounds super good , and cozy , especially the tart green apple part , and the cashmeran. All Parfums de Marly non-transparent, and transparent bottles look super classy , including Greenley . Call me perfectionist, but bottle design, looks and the way it feels, is important to me.
For the Scent of It Mystic Vert is for rebels, who like green artistic fragrance.
Oajan is my favorite Parfums de Marly , but Delina Exclusif is breathing in Oajan neck all the time. Both are staples for me , and if lucky I’d like to win Greenley.
Thanks for the good read + the video, and for the draw too

  • I enjoy Steven and highly respect his recommendations as well as all of the articles on here as they have never steered me wrong. That being said I really like how you guys make the pdm greenley sounds and it fits the progile of something I’d love to try. Thank you. USA.

  • As a frequent watcher of Steven’s videos, I know he thinks highly of Parfums de Marly, which makes me quite eager to try this springtime scent. I am, however, drawn almost more so to the For the Scent of It Mystic Vert since I am quite fond of Black pepper notes, which both the article and the video mentioned it having. I’m from the US, and happen to be celebrating my birthday on the 15th – the day that this drawing ends. Hoping for a combination of Birthday and Irish luck on this one 😉

  • Wow, what a great choice to celebrate St Patty’s day. From Steven’s vid, I was particularly keen on how the green apple was dominate, seems appropriate and great for the spring season. And from Michelyns review, I appreciate how she describes the history of the holiday and how it is like walking through a forest. I would love PDM Greenley. NY, USA

  • I was drawn to Greenley by listening to Steven’s description of a bright ( as opposed to a dark, earthy) exuberant green apple scent. Michelyn’s informative storytelling of Mystic Vert and the lone Wizard in the woods was an enjoyable read. I live in Arizona.

  • Erika Marquez says:

Just in time for spring. I’ve had my eye on greenly for a while but haven’t been able to sample it. Seems to be a great pick for this upcoming spring. Can’t wait to see what it smells like.

  • I’ve been thinking about getting both Greenley and Green Irish Tweed for some time, the descriptions from both Michelyn and Stephen have helped me to consider which I might prefer. The surprise is Mystic Vert, and after reading and hearing both descriptions, I went searching, and found that the perfumer has a brand-new website. So, I’ll be exploring there a bit. Thanks! If I win, I’d like the Mystic Vert. I’m in North Carolina, USA.

  • I’m glad Mystic Vert got a nod for this year’s St. Patrick’s Day list—it definitely fits the theme, but it’s also one of Schrammel’s more unusual designs, and counters many green scents with a dank, leathery character. Michelyn captured the classic charm of Green Irish Tweed and her take on Greenley as a walk from orchard to woods sounds very appealing. In Stephen’s video, I like how he pointed out how each of these green fragrances has a very different shade of green (classic grassy elegance, bright citrus, earthy forest). Very good description of Mystic Vert—I also notice the ash note really jumping out when I wear my sample.

I’m in the USA. I follow @cafleurebonofficial as @mmerline. If I were to win, I’d love the 30 ml of For the Scent of It Mystic Vert. Thanks for the giveaway!

  • Great content by legends Michelyn and Steven, aka Redolessence.
I love the selections of the 3 perfect fragrances: GIT, Greenley and Mystic Vert.
I think they are just perfect for St. Patricks Day.
I love green fragrances and these 3 just makes perfect sense for a day like SPD.
I would love to win Mystic Vert since is the only one that I don’t have, but only tried twice.

I loved how Steven is passionate for Green Irish Tweed. I myself have never tried a Creed fragrance, but Steven’s enthusias and mentioning the perfume’s sophistication got me intrigued. I also loved how Steven emphasised the green apple note in Parfums De Marly Greenley. I also identified with Michelyn’s introduction and how St. Patrick’s Day has become a little removed from its country of origin. I myself would also prefer a walk through nature and a drink at a local tavern on St. Patrick’s Day as opposed to bumping into drunk college students out in the streets all day. hahah

I am located in California, USA.

  • I love St. Patrick’s Day, as my boyfriend and his entire family are from Galway. These 3 scents are such great picks and I’d love to win Parfums de Marly Greenley for my boyfriend. It sounds like such a fresh fragrance that wears unisex, so I’d love to share it with him.
    I live in the USA.

I can speak towards GIT. I’ve owned the fragrance and it is a very beautiful scent with great performance. I’ve never really thought about wearing “green” scents for St. Patrick’s Day, but it makes sense (pun intended)! In the Michelyn article, it is very interesting how sweet and dark aromas characterise a “green” earthy scent! I would love to get my nose on Greenly by Parfum de Marly! Thanks for the article and video!

  • Great quick reviews by Steven of these amazing 3 green fragrances for St. Patrick’s Day. I enjoy his knowledge and ability to really explain these scent profiles well. I would truly love to win a bottle of Parfums de Marly Greenley. I live in CA, USA.

  • Have been watching Steven for years and his recommendations have always worked for me I love green scents and would love to get my hands on that PDM Greenley. Thank y’all for all yall do

  • Have been watching Steven for years and his recommendations have always worked for me I love green scents and would love to get my hands on that PDM Greenley. Thank y’all for all yall do. Atlanta, GA

  • Last time I participated in St. Patrick’s Day parade was 12-13 years ago, when I’ve spent a few months in Boston . Fun and wild times
☆ Creed Green Irish Tweed is the first fragrances that comes to mind, when I think about St. Patrick’s Day, lemon , violets and a big field of grass in Ireland.
    ☆ Parfums de Marly Greenley
As usual I relate all fragrances to some sort of food, making and eating Granny Smith Tarts , and drinking Granny Smith juice is how Greenley smells to me
☆ For the Scent of It Mystic Vert is more of naturalistic depiction of cryptic green fragrance.
Appreciate Steven and Michelyn combined take on St. Patrick’s Day , and the giveaway campaign

  • Steve Fernandez says:

I love how Michelyn breaks down all 3 fragrances. I appreciate Steven’s honesty and knowledge of fragrances. I really didn’t know much about “green” fragrances until I stumbled across Steven’s YouTube video.

Would not mind try Mystic Vert (For the Scent of It)

I liked learning about the note of “Pomarose” in Parfums de Marly Greenley, and would like to win this so that I can experience this along with the violet, amber wood and other notes here in IL, USA. Thank you all!

  • Great reviews as always.
Love how Michelyn painted a interesting picture about St. Patrick’s Day and all descriptions of green perfumes, especially about Green Irish Tweed.
From Steven’s video I liked description of Greenley as “musky with a touch of sweetness and bright apple note”.
    Would like to win Greenley.

  • St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, and other than spaying some green fragrance, I’ll be also celebrating with cocktails inspired by Ireland for at least two weeks.
To be honest there’s no Irish sap in my veins , and where i live there’ s no celebrations , but in the nearby Norfolk VA you can take part in the Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Norfolk, which has been running for five decades. The parade starts at 10 a.m., and is followed by an After Parade Party featuring live bands and food. Participants dress up in traditional Irish garb, decorate their vehicles with shamrocks, and, of course, wear lots and lots of green!
Like always, I love such joint ventures, where I can read and watch 2 fragrance lovers discussing the same fragrances from a different angle
    A) Creed Green Irish Tweed
Steven-> Florentine Iris , no sweetness mentioned
Michelyn-> No iris, but violet mentioned, with subtle sweetness.
    B) Parfums de Marly Greenley
Steven-> Musky and city like aroma
Michelyn-> No musky aroma mentioned, with more like “in the country” aroma
    Me :
Creed Green Irish Tweed -> I’d never get tired of Green Irish Tweed, I liked it over 20 years ago , when I smelled it for the first time, and i still find it attractive
Parfums de Marly Greenley ->Bright and fizzy , a bit also woody , throw some tart greenness , patchouli and musk into the mix , such a pleasing base .
For the Scent of It Mystic Vert, heavy on the green and leather fragrance. Walking through some Irish forest type of fragrance.
I’d love to win Parfums de Marly Greenley
I’ll treat myself now with the famous Green Dublin Apple Cocktail , in some fashion similar to Greenley . The recipe is simple, requiring just three ingredients and a garnish.
    A) Irish whiskey, I’m in the mood for Bushmills 16 Year Single Malt
    B) Cranberry juice
    C) Green apple schnapps
    D) Some Granny Smith slices to garnish it
The best part about this drink? It’s Greenley like , made with green apples , and it’s perfect for celebrating St. Patrick’s Day.
Cheers , and thank you for the opportunity

I loved Steven’s video and Michelyn’s Introduction of the Three Perfumes for St Patricks Day. I love the traditions of St Patricks and how everyone can claim to be Irish on this one special day and celebrate with authentic food, green beer, and outfits. Steven has picked three awesome fragrances the legendary Green Irish Tweed which is loved and appreciated in the fragrance community. I haven’t tried Greenley, but I’ve heard so many great things about it including Steven’s praise. Mystic Vert sounds like a beautiful fragrance with Green and Earthy Galbanum, Pine, Incense, spicy pepper, and Leather. I am from the USA. I would like to win Parfums De Marly Greenley.

  • wallygator88 says:

Thanks for the review Steven, Michelyn. St. Paddys day for me is the image of the Chicago River turning green.

I’m actually most curious about Mystic Vert, from The Scent of It. I love Michaels work. This fragrance, with it’s bright green, earthy and piney spicy scent, makes me think of spring in WI and Paco Rabanne Pour Homme.

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • Regis Monkton says:

I’d like to win PDM “Greenley”. It sounds like a fragrance that I would enjoy. From PDM, I’ve only tried “Layton” and I like that one. I appreciate Steven mentioning that “Greenley” is musky and with apple. It sounds like it would be very enjoyable to wear. Also, Michelyn’s review of “Greenley” caused me to be intrigued to see what the Pomarose in it is like. I live in the U.S.A.

  • IvanVelikov says:

Other than St.Patrick’s Day , Spring is closing in too , and the time for green and sharp fragrance in …now.
Creed Green Irish Tweed needs no explanation , fragrance I wear for more than 20 years now. It is sweeter nowadays , compared to late 90s , early 00s .
I’m glad Parfums de Marly Greenley lives up to its namesake. Usually when I think Parfums de Marly , I think Pegasus , smells fantastic , lasts over 10 hours on skin , and projects beyond strong – fills up a room. Being in tailoring business, I would wear Greenley while working with clients at the shop , and on both formal , and going out occasions , it’s very much a versatile fragrance.
The green apple, and cashmeran accords are tickling my fancy even more
Michael Schrammel Mystic Vert mystical , really green, and leathery
My choice is Parfums de Marly Greenley
Thank you Steven, Michelyn , Fine Fragrances Distribution, Yvan Jaqueline and Michael Schrammel

  • Green Irish Tweed and Greenley have been classic green fragrances for the coming spring months for a long time. Everytime I smell Green Irish Tweed I think about being in a green hill over on the isle and with Greenley that apple note is amazing. I got a sample and have been in love with it since and was mad at myself from holding out so long. Now Mystic Vert is new to me. This is my first note of the house. With the Black Pepper, Valley Lily, Leather, Oakmoss, Amber, Dark Patchouli I like the thought of it starting bright and becoming dark with those earthy elements.

  • sephrenia300 says:

Wonderful video and introduction! What I enjoyed about Steven’s video is how carefully he describes the progression of each note and comments on the lasting power.
What I enjoyed about Michelyn’s introduction is how she describes Parfums de Marly Greenley as featuring the Givaudan captive pomorose which I have never heard of before and sounds very nice – a juicy and tart green apple note.

If I were to win, I would like to win Greenley the most, although I also like to be entered for Mystic Vert as my 2nd choice. I am following your new Instagram page @cafleruebonoffical and my Insta name is momo.liu.121 and I live in the US.
