Top 10 Green Fragrances 2022 + St. Patrick’s Day Draw

Best Green Fragrances

Top 10 Green Fragrances 2022 by @redolessence

It has  been a long winter and let’s face it, many of us have had the blues. But it is time to start feeling or least wafting green. Today March 17, 2022 is St. Patrick’s Day and to quote former Contributor Mary Beth Devine it’s A Day when EVERYONE claims Irish ancestry (though few, if pushed, can prove it), streets are painted green, rivers are dyed green. and green beer is the beverage du jour.

Best Green Perfumes for 2022

Green Fragrances can be leafy, grassy scents that immediately bring to mind the beauty of nature, walks in the forest or through a garden. Green Fragrances can be herbal, floral, fresh, fruity, leafy, citrus and aromatic and often feature basil, oakmoss, cardamom, vetiver and mint.  There must be 50 shades that evoke green fragrances from the palest yellow green to the deepest forest green.

In no particular order here are Steven’s top ten green fragrances

Creed Green Irish Tweed: As green as grass, a walk-through County Cork, one of the loveliest spots in Ireland, yes, CREED Green Irish Cologne lives up to its name. It that has its roots in classic Fougère is one of the most well-known green fragrances. Michelyn and Steven

Greenlion by Hermetica is an explosion of basil and other aromatic ingredients. The citrus freshness in the opening is inviting, and the spicy, woodsy, and aromatic heart is inviting and relaxing.  Juniper is astringent yet smooth, and the amberwood in the base is slightly sweet and resinous. -Steven

Electimuss London Persephone’s Patchouli pairs patchouli and plum then sprinkled with cardamom and various spices. Bright, unique and modern. Steven

Rogue Perfumery Mousse Illuminee (Manuel Crosss) has a cult following and leans a bit masculine. Resinous, woody, musky it evokes the vintage green fragrances and oakmoss powerhouses of the 70s and 80s. It’s one of Rogue’s Perfumery’s best sellers and as a small batch artisan Manny has a difficult time keeping it in stock-Michelyn

Olfactive Studio Panorama (Clement Gavarry) Based on a photograph, as are all Olfactive Studio Perfumes, Creative Director Celine Verleure Panorama uses wasabi mixed with bamboo leaf, fig leaf and lemon. Real wasabi is not used often in fragrances!  I wrote this in my Esxence 2015 report,Panorama, which was based on a photo by Miguel Sandhina of The Sheats Goldstein House and signed by Clement Gavarry was the greenest scent I have smelled for a few years. 50 shades of green.  Wasabi in a perfume? It was striking and memorable. –Michelyn

Amouage Enclave (Julien Rasquinet): M. Rasquinet was a great choice for Amouage Enclave which juxtaposes “candied mint” with the dryness of amber, woods and cardamon. In the composition M. Rasquinet uses two aroma chemicals proprietary to IFF- Amber Xtreme ™ (an amber woody ingredient that enhances fragrance performance and Saffiano (which has a sueded leather quality-Michelyn

Parfums de Marly Greenley: Greenely is an appropriate name for this fresh, woody fruit and yes, green perfume which has two dominant scent profiles: a crisp, juicy, green apple accord and cashmere wood* (*aka cashmeran©-  a synthetic captive from IFF which can smell woody and a musky, with a nuance of fruitiness). -Michelyn

Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse Arashiyama (Maxence Moutte): All Le Jardin Retrouvé fragrances are inspired by a gardens. In this case perfumer Maxence Moutte  sought to capture the bamboo forest of Japan’s Arashiyama Park. If you have ever gone forest bathing, which I highly recommend if you need to tune out, this Zen like experience it’s bottled here. Notes of fig, oakmoss, and lentisk (an aromatic, balancing balsamic scent )makes this a must have.-Michelyn

Jacques Fath’s Essentials Green Water (Cecile Zarokian): Creative Director Rania Barakat Naim enlisted star perfumer Cecil Zarokian to recreate the fabled Jacques Fath Green Water which dates back to the 1940s, and Ms. Zarokian  made it her own and gender fluid. It still is herbaceous but greener with the focus on a lively green neroli, a touch of mint, grassy vetiver and green oakmoss. Cecile’s’ version is modern, not vintage and as refreshing as drinking an iced coled limoncello on a really warm day. -Michelyn

Ineke Balmy Days and Sundays (Ineke Ruhland) is a green grassy floral with rose, honeysuckle and an especially spectacular mimosa note. Wear this and you’ll feel like you are wiggling your toes through a freshly mown lawn watching clouds float by in a bright blue sky. It’s perfect to wear anytime you want to bring the outdoors indoors. B is for Best Green Fragrance as per Steven. New to the brand Ineke has a sampling program?-Michelyn

  • Greenley is my favorite from the list. Hoping to win a free bottle via this giveaway!

  • A lovely festive St Patrick’s list by Michelyn and Steven. Creed Irish Tweed is a good traditional choice for this day, however also really like the inclusion of more Indie perfumes such as Rogue Mousse Illuminee and Ineke’s Balmy Days and Sundays.
Le Retrouvé Mousse Arashiyama sounds wonderful too. I love fig fragrances and intrigued by how that would play with the oakmoss and lentisk. Marit UK

  • My brother have Parfums De Marly Greenly and he absolutely love it, it’s very strong and definitely green. I think everyone should have a green fragrance in the collection, and in this article you can find very good options!!

  • Brad Woolslayer says:

It was great to read about some classic green men’s fragrances and learn about a few new ones as well. I would love to win a bottle of Parfums de Marley Greenley. I live in Maryland USA. My instragram name is bpwool and I follow cafleurebonofficial on Instagram.

  • ooohhh Ineke Balmy Days and Sundays sounds totally up my alley!! I would love to win that in this giveaway! I thought the reviews were super clear and fun to watch – really appreciate being informed on such niche brands that I don’t typically have easy access to in my city.
    Thank you, from Canada!

  • Creed Green Irish Tweed in my go to fragrance when a wear a suit. Gone trough some decants and keep coming back.
Never tried any of the others and I am up to new experiences.

  • It took me some time in my fragrance journey to learn to appreciate green fragrances. Creed GIT was maybe actually the first one I liked. Since then, I’ve been coming around to it. Especially oakmoss. I’m loving Mitsouko and Rogue Perfumery’s Chypre-Siam is gorgeous as well. For that reason, I would love to try more from Manuel Cross, so Mousse Illuminée would be my choice for this draw.

  • Green fragrance is my favourite because of its versatility, mass appealing, and its nature that can bring calmness to you which i really need to focus in my workplace 🙂

  • GREEN IRISH TWEED is definitely my favorite from the list, hoping to win a free bottle from this draw

  • Michelyn & Steven!!! Happy St. Patty’s Day!!! Great list! Chypres are wonderful! I love Rogue & all of Manny Cross’s work, especially Mousse Illumine and Chypre Siam! Mousse Arashiyama is such a calming & meditative green scent by Le Jardin Retrouve. I’m very interested in experiencing Electimuss’ step takes on patchouli as well as the wasabi in Olfactive Studios Panorama! If I were a lucky winner, I would select Rogue’s Mousse Illumine Best of luck to all!!! Enjoy the day!
    ps: my Insta is: rachel.k.ng

  • This list is very amazing I love the smell of creeds green Irish tweed as this smell reminds me of my dad however it does not perform well on my skin.

The fragrance list in the video talks about green fragrances usually I don’t like green fragrances I am more of a freshie blue fragrance person. However, I bought a small 1ml decant of greenly not too long ago and I was truly amazed by the smell of Greenley it was love at first sniff.

What I get from Greenley is a fresh green vibe that’s not vegetal or mossy but very clean and fresh the best thing I would describe it would be a citrus version of the Irish Spring soap☘️ I would love to win a bottle of this it world truly make my world I appreciate niche fragrances and the quality that goes into it.

    – Thank you

  • Rowan McGann says:

As always Steven hits it out of the park with his reviews, but he got me vary curious to try Mousse illuminee. According to Michelyn and Steven Ineke Balmy Days and Sundays is also a must try I would be so happy to experience these. Great review guys. Rowan from Toronto, Canada

  • Wow!!!, a lot of great sounding fragrances, but something about that spicy mint in Enclave from Amouage intrigues me the most & hoping that I can win a bottle via the giveaway, Blessings Steven from Trinidad & Tobago

  • Wonderful review as always from Steve and luckily for me I’m a Parfums de Marley fan so I’d love to win the Greenley

  • Parfum de Marly Greenley is my favorite. I hope tobwin in the giveaway. Good luck to all!

  • My choice is Mousse Illuminee, I should win because this fragrance sounds amazing. I think Steven’s video was packed with interesting information. I think Michelyn’s review was really well written. I live in Poland, EU. My Insta name: insztagramekphoto

  • Dudangsmaster MrYo says:

I’m a registered reader leaving a comment down below, because that’s all I need to do to enter the giveaway 😀

  • GIT and Green Water both gold standards for me in the spring. Wonderful description of the latter by Michelyn. “Mellow” is definitely the word I’d use. Mousse Illuminee also a superb pick. I can see why Miguel would have difficulty keeping it in stock. Great to see Steven so enthused about it! Never tried the Electimuss though. And Panorama uses real wasabi? I didn’t know! My picks would be Mousse Illuminee and Greenley. Definitely need to give the latter a couple more wears. Not the greatest piece from PdM, but certainly easy to like. IG: @donilight USA

  • Cyndi O'Keefe says:

Hi and what a great site!! we are all a little Irish on St.Patty’s Day!! I love the vast array of green fragrances that have been launched as they are so interesting and diverse. Both Steven and Michelyn’s overview was terrific. If I had to choose, I would pick Green water as it sounds tremendous, then Greenley by Parfums de Marley as I love their fragrances. Mousse Illuminee sounds intense and interesting and of course enclave and Green Irish Tweed are unique and gorgeous but the Balmy Days sounds divine!!

  • I have never heard of a wasabi note! But Steven makes me want them all. Should I win, I qualify for the following Mousse illuminee, mousse arashiyama, ineke balmy days, and Greeley. I would adore any of them. In maryland

  • Andrew DiPaola says:

Great content per usual Steven. I truly love a good green fragrance, but oddly enough I don’t own any. I love the brand of Parfums de Marly, and would love the chance to win Greenley. I sampled it once and was intrigued by the apple, green, slightly woody freshness. I would love this for the spring and summer. Appreciate the chance, peace and love. AD

  • McKay Carlson says:

I love the note breakdowns of some of these green fragrances! The Hermetica frag sounds very interesting along with Enclave. The only fragrance I’ve had the opportunity to try is Panorama and it’s great!

  • John Lister says:

My choice would be Greenly by Parfums de Marley for it’s apple notes. I like the way Steve breaks down the notes to where I can visualize the scents.I’m located in Texas, so it would be nice to have a quality warm weather scent.

  • Really enjoyed this review! I love green fragrances . Greenly would be wonderful to add to my collection! Btw Persephones patchouli and Panorama sound fantastic!

  • St Patricks day is a perfect day for wearing green fragrances, which I love many. To me, the list they provided, Green Irish Tweed is my favorite, but also Greenly is a great fragrance.
I would love to win Ineke Balmy Days.
    I live in the USA.

  • Steven’s reviews are always welcomed. I enjoy green fragrances because they remind me of the forest and my garden. If lucky, I’d choose Balmy Days and Sundays. Thanks for the opportunity to sniff. Mich USA

  • I am intrigued by the green apple note in Parfums de Marly Greenley, and how it’ll work with the woodsy notes. The perfumes listed are definitely St. Patricksy scents, and I am blown away by the range of brands and notes of the top 10 picks. I would love to win this giveaway and add another green note to my collection.

Although I’m familiar with the history of the legendary St. Patrick, the holiday is not something I usually celebrate. I have a small percentage of Irish ancestry so I’m exempt anyway, right hahaha? I do enjoy green scents however and Steven and Michelin’s content highlighted these particular fragrances nicely. If I were to win, I’d choose PdM Greenley. Appreciate the content and giveaway opportunity! Many blessings from Virginia, USA!

  • I want to add Greenley to my collection so bad!! I would love to have the chance to win something thank you!

Happy St. Patric’s day everyone! I’m so happy to see everyone talking about green fragrances. We are finally leaving the snow behind. I can even hear the birds through my window! I love the selection Steven has made here. Very diverse and interesting. Green fragrances can go from grassy, to fresh and citrusy, herbal, even edible. I also include wintery piny scents in the green category, although they are a lot darker. I have tried many of the fragrances from Steven’s list and I agree very much with his and Michelyn’s descriptions. I adore Mousse Illuminee and Green Irish Tweed – to my nose these two share some similarities, but both are pure masterpieces. I have also recently sampled Balmy Days and Sundays and I find it very interesting. If you pick me, I would love to get Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse. It is the one that by far intrigues me the most. I love fig fragrances as well as lentisk note and I have never tried anything from this brand. I’m from Illinois, US and I am a subscriber of Steven’s YouTube channel (and have been for a very long time).

  • Balmy Days and Sundays is a great name, and sounds like a fantastic fragrance. I don’t know much about the house, but being number one on Steven’s list certainly got my attention. I also liked Michelyn’s description of “wiggoing your toes…..”. I definitely need to check out Ineke. From Canada

  • Jeremy Upshaw says:

Great run-through and notes from Steven and big thank you to Michelyn. I love the profile of Rogue Perfumery’s ‘Mousse Illuminee’ because I love those burly, masculine power-house scents as I get older, but in the same breath, I am so so intrigued by the fruitiness and cashmere in Greenly by PDM. The house has never disappointed me and I would love to sport that to replace my trusted but played-out personal spring signature scent- which is Green Irish Tweed. Oklahoma USA

  • Hello Steven

Thanks for the chance at this giveaway. PDM Greenly would be a nice addition.

I have a question not related to this article, Steven…

Whatever happened to David Ball? I really enjoyed the videos you shot with him. Every now and then I re-watch them. He’s such a knowledgeable man. I hope he’s doing fine and that y’all be able to collaborate again.

    Thanks again.

  • I enjoy reading beautiful reviews by Michelyn helping me imagining through scent profiles. Steven is an amazing presenter of amazing new gems as well as all time classic. The combination of greenery and flower evokes good childhood memories about nature. I love the evocation of natural inspiration in Ineke Balmy days and Sunday. I would love to wear it for my weekly forest stroll!

  • Scott Teague says:

Thanks for the review. PDM Greenley seems nice I haven’t tried this yet. Thanks and good luck everyone. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

  • It’s nice to watch a video and read more in detail about the fragrances. Always ties in so well. PDM Greenly has always been on my list and would love a chance to own it.

  • Bonnie hirtz says:

Absolutely loved this St. Patrick’s Day inspired write up and video review by Steven. The way Steven gives a breakdown of the notes and describes the vibe (meditative, etc) really helps me get an idea of what each perfume smells like! I would love to win the PDM Greenley. Thanks!

  • Adrian Alonso says:

What I thought about Steve’s review is that he talked about greenly really good and described it very well, and what I thought about Michelyn is that he described vintage fragrance from 1940

  • Bonnie hirtz says:

I already left a comment but I forgot to say where I’m located. I’m live in Indiana, U.S.A. Thanks!

  • I’ve stumbled upon Steven last week and I’m impressed by his knowledge and overall vocabulary to describe certain scents so I quite enjoyed your collab presenting great springtime perfumes.
I live in Germany, Europe and would like to enter for either Mousse Illuminee or Mousse Arashiyama.
    My Instagram name is Machi_subre

  • Shaun Patterson says:

I love how Steven is so knowledgeable about fragrances. I collect fragrances now and then and wish to have a big collection one day and to be as knowledgeable about them as he is. Top Ten Green Fragrances for 2022 is the first video I’ve watched but I subscribed and look forward to learning more. I would love any fragrance seeing as I haven’t had any of them. I love smelling new colognes

Thanks for sharing your passion for fragrances

  • Green means fresh and not surprisingly , most fragrances featured have fresh comosition. I was surprised how many fragrances still feature oakmoss because I was under the impression that perfume formulas have started moving away from use of oakmoss. I also didnt know that Steven lived in Greece in his young age. my choice is Parfums de Marley Greenley. I am in USA.

  • Nice list from Steven. From the above I’d go with either Greenly or Balmy. Was hoping Enclave was part of this. Thanks for the giveaway, Ca

  • I like Michelyn’s description of Greenley having a crisp green apple note along with the cashmeran. Liked the way Steven describes it as well, talking about the bright and citrus combined with the earthy dry-down. My instagram is supermandan87, and I live in California, USA. Would love to win Greenley!

  • PDM Greenley and Mousse Illuminee are my choices. Michelyn’s and Steven’s descriptions of Mousse Illuminee have me intrigued along with Greenley. I live in the United States and my IG is 2DevilDoc7.

  • Mark Dorsett says:

This was such a great list. My 2 favorite green scents are Green Irish Tweed and Greenley.

  • ScentsofMike says:

I don’t have too much experience with green fragrances but some of these sound very intriguing. Dior Fahrenheit comes to mind with its violet leaf notes and so does Davidoff’s Cool Water. Two gems that take me back to my high school years. Steven described some very interesting notes that piqued my interest. Mint, Wasabi, Wormwood, fruity accords. I’ve smelled a few Parfums De Marly fragrances and I know they make some high-quality juice. Greenley is one that I’m interested in. Mousse Illuminee also sounds very masculine and interesting. Steven described it as AMAZING! So I’m sure it is. Thanks for sharing these fragrances. Most of them I haven’t heard of and I’m looking forward to trying some. I’m in New Jersey, USA. My Insta is michaelmindzone.

  • Jorge Maradiaga says:

PDM being my favorite niche house makes Greenley my favorite from the list excited to be entered into the draw see if I get finally get my hands on Greenley. Good luck to everyone!

  • PDM GREENLY. Love the video by the way, not very into green fresh fragrances but always willing to open up to them! Love to try out PDM greenly to build the collection.

  • Oluwagbenga bankole says:

Amazing reviews as always , really looking forward to getting my hands on Electimuss London Persephone’s Patchouli .

  • Sal Tostado says:

GIT is my absolute favorite spring scent along side Bleecker St. but I’d love to get my nose on Greenley. I’m located in California and my insta is mmtoasty

  • Thabo Luza says:

Definitely looking forward to the warmer weather and also looking forward to wearing a number of these fragrances with GIT and Greenley being of particular interest.

  • Green streets and green beer! Michelyn, thank you for the reviews- reading a short snippet about each fragrance reminded me of being in a whirlwind parade. Steven, as always I learned a few things from your videos and added several fragrances to my wish list. Happy St Patrick’s Day, all! If I win, I would choose Le Jardin Retrouve. Writing from the EU.

  • twiggy3634 says:

Being a PdM fan, I saw Greenley and thought I’d choose that, but after hearing Steven gush over Rogue Perfumery’s Mousse Illuminee along with Michelyn agreeing it evokes the powerhouse of the 70s and 80s, I have to choose that. I would love a modern version of a Drakkar type fragrance. I live in Indiana, USA.

  • Emmanuel Alvarez says:

I’ve never had a green fragrance but I do own 2 bottles from Parfums de Marly so I’ll definitely be rooting for greenley. But either fragrance would be nice

  • Maxence Moutte): lLke all Le Jardin Retrouvé fragrances is inspired by a garden. In this case perfumer Maxence Moutte was inspired by the bamboo forest of Japan’s Arashiyama Park. If you have ever gone forest bathing, which I highly recommend if you need to tune out, this Zen like experience it’s bottled here. Notes of fig, oakmoss, and lentisk (an aromatic, balancing balsamic scent )makes this a must have.-Michelyn A beautiful description by Michelyn really fascinated by the notes especially fig and oakmoss sounds like a soothing and calming fragrance. • Green being my favorite color and having a birthday in March (9th), I am particularly partial to this list. Steven always knocks it out of the park with his reviews (as does Michelyn, for that matter). Out of the 10 fragrances reviewed the only one that I have tried is Green Irish Tweed. The scent profile was incredible but unfortunately didn’t perform well on my skin, at all. Out of the 4 to be provided, my choice would be Greenley. Parfums de Marly is top-to-bottom a fantastic house and I’ve heard that Grenley smells phenomenal. With Spring upon us, I feel like it would be the perfect acquisition for whoever wins it. Thanks, as always, for the opportunity and cheers from Illinois, USA!

Good luck, everyone! I am so happy to read all the wonderful comments. Everyone’s enthusiasm is contagious. We appreciate all of the kind words.

  • I’ve been wanting to try Greenley for forever, as the notes sound lovely; I am a huge fan of green fragrances that have a touch of apple. I am a dedicated follower of Steven’s channel as well. There’s something about the excitement that he shows when he discusses fragrances that make it very obvious how much he really enjoys them. And for me, that’s the most important quality in a fragrance reviewer. My instragram name is Rhifings and I follow cafleurebonofficial

  • Old Herbaceous says:

I love green fragrances, and I appreciate how Michelyn and Steven both commented on the wasabi note in Panorama. I enjoyed Steven’s memories of Greece and how mastic accords bring those back. Michelyn’s description of Balmy Days and Sundays is very appealing, as I love green florals. If I won, I would choose Mousse Illuminée, or Balmy Days and Sundays. I am in the US.

  • Mirea Luca says:

Great list of fragrances and great, well spoken review! Some of them are already my favourites. Steven is one of the first fragrance reviewers i stumbled upon and he kinda got me into fragrances. My choice has to be Rogue Perfumery Mousse Illuminee. I just love green fragrances. I live in Romania, and my instagram name is @lucamirea.

  • Amazing review just in time for spring. It was great learning about some of the fragrances I am not familiar with, excited to sample Green Water and Greenley soon. If I were to win, I would love Parfums De Marley Greenley. I live in the U.S.

  • Thanks Michelyn and Steven for these wonderful reviews!

After a cold winter it is time to put the strong fragrances away and bring out the fresh, green and invigotaring scents!

Michelyn is spot on when talking about Green Water. It is a modern classic that is intense and fresh. Thanks for highlighting this as I have enjoyed wearing this beautiful fragrance and will soon have to get a new bottle!

I have heard a lot about Rogue Perfumery, but haven’t tried any of them yet. After hearing Steven’s review simply defining this as ‘AMAZING’, I feel like I’m missing out here and need to try it. It doesn’t happen that often that Steven is blown away by a fragrance like this, but this is one of those moments and Rogue Perfumery couldn’t have asked for a better promotion. I have got to have it!

As I will be living both in the EU and the UK for work again, I look forward to wearing the highly recommended Mousse Illuminee!

I follow CafleureBonOfficial on my @ronaldjapenga instagram account.

As always, Steven does a great job breaking down fragrances in a way novices like me can understand and appreciate. My fragrance journey started a year ago, and Steven has been a HUGE influence for most of my decant acquisitions and perfume purchase. Thank you for the collaboration, Redolessence and cafleurebon.com !

Also, happy (Belated) Saint Patrick’s Day! I hope this spring finds you well and blessed.

If selected I would like: Parfums de Marley Greenley
    I live in Roseburg, Oregon

  • Interesting Spring list, as usual I’ll share my thoughts on the fragrances I know, or want to try, and also what I think about Steven and Michelyn reviews . I’ll start with the way Steven showed the fragrances in the video:
    10. Creed Green Irish Tweed
Timeless fragrance, that will never get old
    9. Olfactive Studio Panorama
My opinion of the fragrance is a bit different, compared to what Steven and Michelyn are getting. On me Panorama is heavy on the cardamom, and galbanum, it’s green , vegetal and quite earthy , something in the fragrance strongly reminds me of petrichor.
    8. Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse Arashiyama
Fig leaves and mastic ? Interesting
    7. Jacques Fath Green Water
“and Ms. Zarokian made it her own and gender fluid….”
I’m not on the same page.
I finished 4 bottles during the years, and Cecile Zarokian version doesn’t strain much, in my opinion from the previous formulations. The fragrance smells great, sure , but to me there’s nothing modern in it , but on the contrary it’s old-school citrus aromatic.
    6. Parfums de Marly Greenley.
Great house for sure Green juicy Granny Smith, cedar , and lots of cardamom is what I’m getting.
    5. Mousse Illuminee by Rogue Perfumery
It leans heavily on the masculine side, almost hairy-chested REAL deal ,non IFRA compliant oakmoss fragrance. Real throwback to the 70s and 80s.
    3. Enclave by Amouage
The name Enclave fits the fragrance very well. I remember Amouage promoting it as a fragrance, inspired by fjords of Musandam in Oman. Not every beach should be like Hawaii, fruity and smelling like a sunscreen lotion , still the fragrance on my skin gets sweeter in the base, and reminds me of mint candy
    2. Electimuss London Persephone’s Patchouli
Sounds amazing, I need to get my hands on a sample
    I’d like to win Greenley
Thanks a lot , all profiles I already follow, @waltherp99bg

  • It IS easy being green. I am loving everything verdant these days. Anything green. So everything said by both Michelyn and Steven makes me crave these fragrances! Especially I would love to win either Ineke Balmy Days and Sundays or Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse Arashiyama. I am in the US.

  • I don’t have many green perfumes in my collection… the way Steven describes the fragrances make me want all of them!!!! My favorites in order would be Ineke Balmy Days and Sundays, Mousse Illuminee, Parfums de Marly Greenley !!!! Thank you for the chance of trying these amazing fragrances. I’m from Massachusetts, MA
Following you on Instagram as @hshinkoda

  • Thanks to Steven and Michelyn for bringing fun and a chance to win too. From the list, I have tried Greenley, GIT, and Enclave before. I have been a fan of Cecile’s works and thanks for introducing Green Water to me. I am going to find out more about it.
If there is a chance I would go with Greenley by Parfums de Marley. I am in the US.

  • IvanVelikov says:

Most appealing from the Spring list are:
    *Creed Green Irish Tweed
    Needs no explanation
    *Electimuss London Persephone’s Patchouli
    Green , woody, fruity
    *Olfactive Studio Panorama
Wasabi fragrances are rare, and uncommon
*Amouage Enclave is new to me , but i like green and woody, slightly sweet fragrances, and big plus is the vetiver , one of my favorite notes.
*Jacques Fath was one of the greatest designers ever lived, i admire his legacy so much. I know some of the old , and new fragrances.
I was wondering between Green Water, and Le Loden , and at the end I bought Le Loden.
*Being in tailoring business, I would wear Parfums de Marly Greenley while working with clients at the shop. Feels like a happy , cheerful , and professional fragrance.
    My choice is Greenley
    Thank you Steven and Michelyn

Great review! I just to own the original Creed Irish Tweed. Is one of my favorite colognes. Keep give us your amazing thoughts and ideas. You are helping us on obtaining a great collection.

    Blessings,

    Thank you!

  • I was wondering, as Michelyn does, about the wasabi note – will it make my eyes water 🙂 I am a Redolessence subscriber and enjoy Steven’s videos. I am very curious about Parfums de Marly Greenley because of Michelyn’s and Steven’s reviews and its fresh, woody smell (plus the fact that Parfums de Marly makes great perfumes). Thanks for the reviews and draws. From USA.

  • As an O’Callaghan, it is a given that green fragrances are some of my favorite. Lately, I can’t get enough of tomato leaf notes.

Balmy Days and Sundays sounds so beautiful. That is my choice.

I am interested to smell the wasabi note in Panoramic.

  • Great article and list. I am huge fan of green fragrances (and mint). I already have Beach Hut Man and love it. I have had my eye on Amouage Enclave and after your review it’s on my must have list and I have to grab it when I am able. Greenley / Sutton is another one that looks interesting and is also on my list. Thanks for the great content!

  • Out of the 10 picks i’d wear the following fragrances
Creed Green Irish Tweed , one of the first fragrances that comes to mind, when I think about green fragrances
“Electimuss London Persephone’s Patchouli pairs patchouli and plum then sprinkled with cardamom and various spices.”
What can I say? Must try fragrance
Olfactive Studio Panorama I’m curious about, because of the wasabi , and Michelyn telling us real wasabi was used , and not made up accord .
Huge amount of the wasabi on the market is fake , and actually made of various food coloring, horseradish and cheap mustard.
Amouage Enclave , i’m glad Julien Rasquinet gave Enclave a candied twist. The fragrance smells a bit like Mint Julep Cheesecake, with real bourbon vanilla cream, and candied mint leafs .
    Parfums de Marly Greenley
As usual I relate all fragrances to some sort of food, making and eating Granny Smith Tarts , and drinking Granny Smith juice is how Greenley smells to me , the fragrance i’d like to win.
Appreciate Steven and Michelyn combined take on best Spring fragrances, and the giveaway campaign

  • Very nice selection, love Steven’s videos, I would love to try Le Jardin Retrouvé Mousse, it sounds beautiful.
    Kind regards from Mexico.

  • John C George says:

The description of Green Irish Tweed brings it flooding back so I’m positive the rest are accurate which makes me very eager to smell Green Water. Panorama sounds like an absolute knockout as well!

For the giveaway I would love to try a Marly so please enter me for the Greenley!

  • Personally, I’d love to try Greenley by house Parfums De Marly. I’m not to sure if I’ve tried this fragrance before in the past. Nonetheless, Parfums De Marly makes outstanding fragrances that always leaves a long lasting impression. Both reviews were extremely precise and thorough, which makes for an easier buying experience. You can follow my Instagram account at maester_of_style. Thanks again for the opportunity to participate in the giveaway.

I own 2 of the fragrance in the Spring list, Creed Green Irish Tweed , and Jacques Fath Green Water. GIT is an Icon in the fragrance community. I was wearing Jacques Fath fragrances in the 90’s, especially Green Water. To my surprise after the revival of the brand, i found the re-released Green Water pretty similar to the vintage , with slightly lesser performance. 200ml is what I bought , it’s well worth it.
Olfactive Studio Panorama , Electimuss London Persephone’s Patchouli i find futuristic
Enclave Amouage is sophisticated fragrance, with candied mint and vetiver .
Parfums de Marly Greenley.Being a vain man compliments are really important to me. Greenley with its citruses, fruity green apples tartness, woody touches for sure will both smell awesome, and also get me unsolicited compliments.
I’ll be happy to win Greenley
    Exciting giveaway, USA

Great selection for St Patrick’s day. A lovely selection of green, spring fragrances. Creed Irish Tweed is a great choice for the day, Would love to win either Rogue Perfumery Mousse Illuminee, Parfums de Marley Greeley, or Ineke Balmy Days and Study. Follow on IG @blinkydog1999. MD, USA.

  • As always Steven’s review is very detailed. It was also a mix of different types of green fragrances. They also introduced me to new fragrances like Green Water – Jacques Fath, Mousse Arashiyama – Le Jardin Retouve, and Balmy Days and Sundays – Ineke.
If I win, I would like Balmy Days and Sundays (Ineke).

  • I think of myself as a huge fan of green fragrances, but I have never smelled any of the scents on Steven’s and Michelyn’s list! Should I win, I’d love a bottle of Mousse Illuminee. I’m in New York, USA, and my instagram is @ohnogoaway.

  • I’ll say that out of Michelyn’s reviews, what stuck with me most was describing Green Water as “as refreshing as drinking an ice cold limoncello on a really warm day.” That does sound incredibly enticing! As for Steven, he was able to pull me in toward fragrances I wouldn’t have considered before, mainly Amouage Enclave (I haven’t had much luck finding an Amouage fragrance that really suits me, but a “spicy, cinnamon-y, warm resinous mint” sounds like it’s worth a try). I also quite loved the bottle for Greenlion, though I’m one to purchase based off notes rather than aesthetics.

Of the bottles available for the giveaway, I am most drawn to Parfums de Marly’s Greenley. My ideal spring fragrance fits exactly with this composition, in particular the bright crispness of green apples. Runner up would of course be Ineke Balmy Days and Sundays—though I haven’t tried it myself, I can’t ignore when a great reviewer ranks a fragrance at the top of their list! Thanks as always!!

I’m in beautiful Montreal, Canada. I think Ineke Balmy Days and Sundays would be perfect for the coming spring and summer. Steve always has a whimsical and enthusiastic charm and gleam in his eyes when he talks about a fragrance he loves. Michelyn always has a picturesque way with words. Please enter me into the giveaway.

I started this fragrance journey not knowing where my interest would go but I have found I’m more into green scents. This article was a great read.

  • This was a terrific selection of green fragrances. I love Parfums de Marly and was thrilled Michelyn chose Greenley. That is the one I would like to win. The overall description of smell woody and a musky, with a nuance of fruitiness sounds wonderful!
    I live in the US.

  • The article gives a true sense of the feel and smell of the fragrances which I love. It also tells what the inspiration behind the fragrances were. If I were lucky enough to win, I would choose parfums de Marley greenley. My ig name is angelikka0218

  • Great video by Steven and very informative introduction to each perfume by Michelyn. I have seen alot of praise for Mousse Illuminee by Rogue Perfumey and would also like to experience mousse Arashiyama by jardins Retrouve. I live in the Eu

  • Wonderful review as always from Michelyn and Steven.
Greenley is my favorite from the list. From green perfumes I love Fiero Xerjoff, Guelain Homme too.
my Insta @scentedfeelings and I follow Cafleurebon in Insta too.

  • The floral-green component of Ineke’s balmy days and Sundays is extremely interesting. Would love to try it).

  • Thanks for the video review, Steven! In our region the winter is short and the summer is too long. So green, fresh, lemony, earthy, herbal, floral, grass fragrances wearing more here. I love wearing mousse fragrances and would love to win Le Jardin Retrouve 15 ml of Mousse. Thanks for your generosity and count me in.
    Love from Pakistan

  • Great video Steven and I enjoyed Michelyn descriptions especially of le Jardin Retrouve mousse illuminee and balmy days and Sunday’s
I have only tried one ineke field notes and love it so balmy days is my choice as well as greenely

  • Thank you for this wonderful St. Patrick’s Day summary of green fragrances as we finally enter a warm spring. I’m ready for it!

I’ve sampled both Mousse Illuminee and Balmy Days and Sundays—I enjoyed reading a more informed perspective on what notes can be pulled out of these fragrances. I find the Rogue to be kaleidoscopic in its green facets and Balmy to read like a grassy aquatic to my nose.

I’m also very intrigued by Studio Panorama (How does this one compare to DSH Wasabi Shiso?) and the forest bathing concept of Mousse Arashiyama (fig and lentisk caught my attention).

I’d particularly love to win the Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse Arashiyama, but I’d also be very happy to win any of the other three. Thanks!

I loved Michelyn’s intro, especially as I am based in Dublin so able to experience the St. Patrick’s Day’s amazingness and madness firsthand. And what a gripping compilation from Steven here! I absolutely adore his unabashed enthusiasm about the green fragrances. Fantastic selection there, I would love to try out the new duo from Electimuss Parfums as I am mad about patchouli. From the selection for the draw I would love the Le Jardin Retrouve offering Mousse Arashiyama as it appeals to me with its zen like character. I follow @cafleurebonofficial on. Thank you very much for this interesting selection Michelyn and Steven! I love to read and listen to you and the list of fragrances is really diverse and carefully chosen. The only fragrance I know is Green Water (I just love Cécile Zarokian), but Panorama and Balmy and Balmy and Sunny Sundays intrigue me for the Wasabi and mimosa notes. But, I’d love to win Mousse Arashiyama because I am addicted to Mastiha! Greetings from Italy

  • ChanteusedesIles says:

I’ve stayed mostly away from many green fragrances but this spring they are really calling to me! I usually associate galbanum with “green” smelling perfumes so it’s interesting to see what others consider to be green. The Panorama sounds really interesting for that wasabi note, I enjoy sushi but I recently found out most sushi restaurants in North America don’t use real wasabi (apparently it is difficult to grow and very expensive to import) so I’m not sure I have experienced real wasabi? I would be curious to see someone who has and what they think of Panorama! Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse description sounds beautiful though I have never been in a bamboo forest, it makes me want to visit one now! I would love to win Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse or Ineke Balmy Days & Sundays, from Canada !

  • Michael Prince says:

I loved Steven’s Video on his top 10 green fragrances. There are some classics on the list such as Green Irish Tweed and there are some newer releases that I have been dying to try such as Amouage Enclave and Parfums De Marly Greenley. Several of these I haven’t heard of, but they all sound amazing they way Michelyn describes them and connects them to Steven’s viewpoints. If I win I would pick.
    1. Parfums De Marly Greenly
    2. Ineke Balmy Days and Sundays
    3. Mousse Illuminee
    4. Mousse 15ml
I am from the USA and I am following on CafleurebonOfficial on Instagram. My instaname is @michaelprincefragrance

  • As always, Steven knocked it out of the park with his spring list! LOVE IT! From classics like GIT, to new fragrances like Electimuss London Persephone’s Patchouli, it’s truly an amazing list! I own GIT and Greenley, love both of them, can’t wait to wear them! Michelyn also wrote a great introduction!

I follow Cafleurebon on Instagram – my @ is @il.dolce.papi and I live in Croatia, EU.

  • I appreciated reading and hearing about these fragrances- out of all of them, I’ve only tried “Mousse Illuminee” and a clone of “G.I.T.”. I would like to be entered in the giveaway draw. I live in the U.S.A. If I win, then my first choice would be: Parfums de Marley “Greenley”, then, “Mousse Illuminee”, and finally, “Mousse” by Le Jardin Retrouve. I follow Cafleurebon on Instagram from: (@regismonkton). Thanks for the giveaway opportunity.

  • Outstanding review by Steven and Michelyn. They both now how to paint with words what a fragrance smells like and the feeling they evoke. I wish to win Ineke Balmy Days and Sundays out of San Francisco. Thanks for the giveaway.love. following @calicalnurse. USA.

Thanks for the fun review Steven. Happy St. Patricks and first day of spring to you!

I really liked your take on Le Jardin Retrouvee. The combination of mastic oil and fig leaf sound so wonderfully reminiscent of warmer days. Especially with the nod to Greece.

I’m also very curious about Green Water. I remember reading the article in CFB about it.

I liked Michelyn’s intro to Ineke. Such a god perfume house. One of my favourites is Idyllwyld.

I would love to win any of the fragrances availabe to the US. My nod is towards Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse Arashiyama

    Cheers from WI, USA

Greenlion sounds exactly like what I have been craving lately – basil and aromatics. I think I’m craving my herb garden. Thanks to Michelyn and Steven for giving me yet another list of fragrances to try! Of the offered fragrances I would love to win Mousse Illumine because I tried it recently and it is gorgeous. Thank you for the draw. In the US.

  • Steven mentioned several fragrances in his video I am highly interested in. Specifically, Greenley, Enclave and Green Water certainly pique my interest! Thanks for the consideration!!

  • What a lovely list of perfumes. Green perfumes are so uplifting, much welcomed after a long winter. I have tested Parfums De Marly Greenly and it is a fabulous scent. I would love to experience Ineke Balmy Days and Sundays and would choose this if I am the winner.

I live in California, USA, and I am following@cafleurebonofficial and my username is @kitteninthecity.

  • Lovely list of Spring fragrances, some I know, a few others I need to try. What I liked:
    Electimuss London Persephone’s Patchouli
It’s different, spicy fragrance, with plum and patchouli
Olfactive Studio Panorama , because of wasabi note
Amouage Enclave, Unique minty fragrance with resins, and vetiver.Well hello Enclave , why I’ve not smelled you before?
Parfums de Marly Greenley , Obviously warmer weather fragrance , fresh , natural smelling and some woody nuances . Sounds super good , and cozy , especially the tart green apple part.
Jaques Fath Green Water I’m familiar with , it’s been my grandpa’s signature scent for …. as far as I can remember. Back in the days the bottle was different, with frosted glass, but after he finished his last ,i had to get him the new bottle from so called Essentials line , and he loves it too. It’s my grandpa’s fragrance, maybe that’s the reason, but I think Green Water is for mature gentleman only.
I’d love to win Parfums de Marly Greenley
    Thanks for the draw

  • Another great video but I guess I might have to give GIT another try as it did not impress me when I sampled it though I’ve loved all other Creeds I’ve given a chance. I would be super stoked to win Mousse Illuminee from Rogue Perfumery as it has been on my very long list of must-tries. I’m subscribed to Redolessence and follow @cafleurebonofficia with username @sngashig. I’m in USA

  • I love such joint ventures, you can read and watch 2 fragrance lovers discussing the same fragrances from a different angle
There are four fragrances that stood up to me the most
Creed Green Irish Tweed -> I’d never get tired of Green Irish Tweed, I liked it over 20 years ago , when I smelled it for the first time, and i still find it attractive
Amouage Enclave -> I’ve been Amouage girl for a long time, I like Julien Rasquinet perception of “candied mint’ . Enclave like Michelyn said is also woody, ad leathery.
Electimuss London Persephone’s Patchouli -> Fruity , bright patchouli, with cardamom , hopefully we’ll get a full review on Cafleurebon
Parfums de Marly Greenley ->Bright and fizzy , a bit also woody , throw some tart greenness , patchouli and musk into the mix , such a pleasing base .
    Greenley would be my choice
    Thank you for the opportunity

Wonderful article! I thought Steven’s review was meticulous and thorough, and he really did a great job of introducing what is or “feels green” in every fragrance and all the different nuances therein, from bergamot to oakmoss to more unusual notes such as artemesia and “green” apple! I really appreciated hearing how complexly green each of the fragrances he chose are.

I thought Michelyn’s reviews were incredibly evocative and intimate – for example, I loved learning that Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse Arashiyama reminded her of going forest bathing and having that completely meditative Zen-like experience in a bottle. What a stunning and compelling image! Makes me very intrigued to try that one for what is sure to be a hectic spring season!

I live in the US. I am following your new Instagram page @cafleruebonoffical and my Insta name is momo.liu.121. I would be thrilled to win any of the 4 fragrances, but my order of preference would be for 1) Parfums de Marly Greenley 2) Ineke Balmy Days and Sundays 3) Rogue Mousse Illuminee 4) Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse Arashiyama.

  • Vetiver and mint are two of my favorite notes for spring. Enjoy all of Steven’s reviews. Greenly would be my choice if I won.

  • Gorgeous video as always Steven. We are finally leaving the snow behind. I love the selection Steven has made here. Very diverse and interesting, from grassy, to fresh and citrusy, herbal, even edible. I have tried many of the fragrances from Steven’s list and I agree very much with his and Michelyn’s descriptions. I adore Mousse Illuminee and Green Irish Tweed – to my nose these two shares some similarities, but both are pure masterpieces. If you pick me, I would love to get Parfums de Marly Greenley. It is the one that by far intrigues me the most.

Awesome review! I haven’t tried any of these but they all sound amazing. I’ve tried other creed fragrances and they are all amazing. I’m definitely going to have to try some of these.

  • My God, I love the Parfums de Marly Greenley! Huge fan. I love this giveaway! One of the best I’ve seen in a while!
