The 7 Virtues Blackberry Lily

You find yourself escaping to a quaint cottage nestled along the verdant shores of the East Coast, where late summer unfurls like a whispered secret. The air is thick with the promise of harvest, you are surrounded by the wild rose bushes and the surrounding woods burst with wild blackberry brambles and clusters of blackcurrants, their deep purple hues glistening under the first light of dawn. As you step outside in the early morning hush, the world feels reborn—dew-kissed grass cools beneath your bare feet, each blade a gentle caress that grounds you in this serene haven. Here, The 7 Virtues Blackberry Lily captures that very essence, opening with a burst of jammy blackberry and rich cassis, a mouthwatering invitation that mirrors the ritual of plucking those ripe fruits straight from the vine, savoring a handful before breakfast even begins. It’s a fruity gourmand, evoking the lush ripeness of the season, where every inhale pulls you deeper into nature’s generous embrace.

Wandering through the cottage garden, you feel the earth’s quiet rhythm, the soil soft and fertile from summer rains, dotted with wildflowers swaying in the gentle breeze. The blackcurrants hang heavy, their tart-sweet allure impossible to resist, staining your fingers with their inky juice as you gather them in a simple basket. This is the heart of the getaway—a place where time slows, and the simple act of foraging becomes a meditative joy, blending the thrill of discovery with the comfort of familiarity. In The 7 Virtues Blackberry Lily, this translates to the floral elegance of lily of the valley and magnolia, blooming delicately at the fragrance’s core, like the pristine white petals unfurling under the shade of ancient oaks that line the property. These notes add a layer of grace, softening the initial fruitiness into something ethereal, as if the morning mist itself carries the scent of hidden blooms, inviting a sense of peaceful introspection amid the greenery.

Under every tree, colonies of lily of the valley thrive, their bell-shaped flowers nodding like tiny lanterns in the dappled light, releasing a fresh, green aroma that permeates the air. You gather armfuls to scent your bedsheets, infusing the linens with that clean, dewy purity— a ritual that transforms the modest cottage bedroom into a sanctuary of relaxation, where the stresses of the world dissolve like fog under the sun. The garden path, lined with ferns and mossy stones, leads to a sun-dappled clearing where you pause, barefoot and unhurried, letting the cool earth anchor your soul. Blackberry Lily embodies this tactile serenity, its heart notes weaving a floral veil that feels both invigorating and soothing, evoking the crispness of those dew drops clinging to leaves, a reminder that true luxury lies in these unadorned moments of connection with nature.

As the day lingers into golden afternoon, the fragrance settles into its decadent base, much like the warmth that envelops the cottage at dusk—caramel’s indulgent sweetness mingling with amber’s resinous glow and vetiver’s earthy depth, leaving a trail that whispers of enduring comfort. This East Coast retreat, with its lush landscapes and rhythmic tides, becomes a memory etched in scent, an irresistible impression that beckons you back time and again. Blackberry Lily is a portal to that idyllic escape, where the ripeness of summer fruits, the elegance of wild blooms, and the quiet decadence of nature converge, offering a lingering embrace that feels as restorative as the getaway itself.

Cherry ambition is the perfect cherry fragrance. It’s perfectly made. BlackBerry I feel would be another perfectly executed note by 7 virtues. Olya created a picture perfect description of this scent. Really makes you vision a cottage in a fresh dewy field with pure bliss.

  • A blackberry forward fragrance that is sweet, fresh, floral and green– a celebration of a season of sunny, lazy days, cooling of at an idyllic beach setting enjoying Indian Summer Days… before the inevitable tide of Fall move in.

Olya is always spot on with her descriptions of fragrances and the feelings they invoke. I am familiar with this brand but have never tried any of them even though they are readily available at Sephora I believe (shame on me!). This one does sound like a perfect summer embrace of fruity and floral notes.prancing around in a cottage on a hot summer day of a fresh dewy field is a feeling we all must experience at some point in our lives. A picture perfect fragrance for those adventurous souls. I’m located in the USA.

  • Love how Olya ( and other reviewers here ) don’t just simply tell me notes. They paint a journey with their writing. Almost like a picture book or short film. Just reading all the reviews on this blog has made me approach all fragrances differently then before. Even if I’ve never been to whatever locations are used to describe these, or even if I haven’t had much experience with certain notes, I always feel like I can at least get an idea of what this perfume will offer.

I’ve never heard of The 7 Virtues, but Blackberry Lily sounds like a scent that is a unique take on the fruity gourmand genre.

Thank you again for a great read. USA.

  • Olya’s review is unique as in it has little to no bias. Nothing about the review screamed unreliable, and I appreciate that. This fragrance was the first to catch my eye and would be my first try. I live in Tennessee, so unique fragrances are hard to come by in stores, I hope this doesn’t disappoint!

  • I always see this house but have never tried any. I have picked blackberries all my life though and there nothing like a bowl of cold, creamy vanilla ice cream with hot fresh blackberries on a sizzling hot summer day! Delishhhh. This has some beautiful notes added like the rose and woods.
    I am in the U.S.

  • What really caught my attention here is the way the fragrance seems to capture a specific rhythm of late summer — not just fruit sweetness, but that sense of slowing down, barefoot mornings, and the quietness of a garden. The idea of blackberry and cassis giving way to magnolia and lily of the valley feels like a natural shift from ripeness into calm, which is something I don’t often see in fruit-driven perfumes. I haven’t tried anything from The 7 Virtues yet, but this description makes me curious about how they balance lush fruit notes with something more grounded and reflective.

  • AromaAdventurer says:

The transition described between juicy berries, soft florals, and then into the warmth of caramel, amber, and vetiver feels intriguing. It sounds less like a straightforward gourmand and more like a layered story, moving from fresh and playful to something deeper and comforting. That balance is what stands out most to me, since fruit-based perfumes can sometimes lean too simple. I’ve never experienced the brand’s fragrances firsthand, but the way this one is framed makes me think it could be a good introduction to their style — familiar yet not predictable.
    I am from Canada.

  • Thank you nature for true luxury. I love going to pick wild blackberries in the late summer. Love the photos for this piece, I’d enjoy a trip to the East Coast in a cottage. Haven’t been there for a long time. Sadly I planted Lily of the Valley and they didn’t grow. Thanks for the chance to win this. My favorite from 7 Virtues is Santal Vanille. USA.

  • I love their vanilla and the new Clementine that came out. This house has so many unsung heroes. I’ve been searching for a proper blackberry note for ages and cannot wait to sample this one.

  • Blackberry Lily sounds like a feminine fruity gourmand made for adults. The blackberry and cassis blend melds perfectly with the summer blossoms of lily of the valley, rose and magnolia. The earthy, caramel infused base brings some warmth. I’ve tried several 7 Virtues fragrances including Vanilla Woods, Santal Vanille and Lotus Pear. MD, USA

I cannot say that I have tried anything from The 7 Virtues, but I have seen the brand popping up from time to time.
Olya’s great review really does a wonderful job capturing the imagery of what it would be like to actually smell the scent. A fruity gourmand is yet another wonderful scent to surprise my girlfriend with, and it’ll be fun to see just how much she can love blackberries.
Greetings and best of luck from Ontario, Canada.

    Thanks for the great writeup!
What struck me most from the article was how Blackberry Lily balances its contrasts so gracefully. The juicy blackberry and cassis create a lush opening that flows into the delicate heart of lily of the valley and magnolia. I loved how the caramel, amber, and vetiver base grounds the composition, stitching fruit and florals into something warm yet luminous.

Would love to try Blackberry Lily!

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • I’ve not tried the brand but after reading this review, I need to seek them out. I love how photo realistic the description of the fragrance is and now I need it USA

  • This review really makes me want to experience the way the tart juicy fruits of the blackberry unfolds into the clean white elegance of the lily of the valley. The balance of earthy and ethereal. I have never tried 7 Virtues fragrances! I am in MA.

  • kusudamakitten98 says:

I really enjoyed reading Olya’s review of Blackberry Lily, especially the imagery of a blossoming garden, maybe a bit unruly, and the contrast of the warmth inside the cottage — it reminded me of Taylor Swift’s folklore and evermore imagery. I love the mission of The 7 Virtues and the partnership with Days For Girls — so far I’ve only tried Cherry Ambition but I think the notes of Amber Vanilla look enticing.

I am a cottagecore person who has been known to make jam, so Blackberry Lily appeals to me. I love blackberry brambles and lily of the valley that grows under magnolia trees. Olya’s review was so vivid and she described the fragrance in ways that made my mouth water.
    I live in the USA.

  • Olya review of the beauty of this scent invoking the east coast summer floral and ocean escape with sweet dewyness that I’m sure would smell fantastic on the women in your life. USA, NY

  • This fresh green lily accord is an interesting heart to adorn with blackberry and cassis—Blackberry Lily doesn’t sound overly sweet or cloying. Even the caramel note in the base plays off vetiver and cedar. A thoughtful, mature, fruity gourmand, dressed up like a garden floral. I haven’t tried any other 7 Virtues fragrances and I’m curious if this is similar to the rest of the lineup.

    I’m in the USA.

  • Based on Olya review, “Blackberry Lily is a polarizing yet memorable scent, described as a warm & sweet gourmand fragrance that begins with a lush, jammy fusion of blackberry and blackcurrant. It’s perfect for those seeking a rich fruity-floral gourmand with character and ethical roots. It unfolds into an elegant floral heart of lily of the valley, magnolia, and rose, before settling into a cozy base of caramel, amber, vetiver, cedar, and patchouli.”
I love Clementine Dream and Cherry Ambition. They’re my favorites of the brand but I’m very intrigued and excited to try blackberry Lily. From USA.
