Great review Steven. I never smelled anything from this house, so this giveaway would be a great way to get introduced to something new.

  • Harvdogg51 says:

When he describes it as being royalty and opulent, wealthy, plus all the ingredients he mentioned are some of my favorites, I have been into cologne all my life and I’m just starting to branch out on fragrances all around the world, and yes I’m live in the USA,Louisiana to be exact

I have had my eye out on this one for a while now, I love the Thameen house! I agree with Steven’s assessment of it as I have smelled it and it is very oudy and rich indeed. I also do agree it is smooth despite the Starwood present in it, not overwhelming at all. I’d love to win a bottle of it. Cheers from the USA (NJ)!

  • oscar villarreal says:

Its the use of the word opulence and rich, plus I also own regent leather makes me want to add this to my collection. And the fact that its an wearable oud. And I live in houston tx

  • Zvaldivia says:

Awesome review Steven, I think the opulence he describes along with the longevity is definitely worth looking into. Texas!

  • Thameen London Carved Oud looks like it will appeal to both who like clean oud or who enjoy light gourmandy fragrances. There is a reason it is sometimes mentioned by fans of oudwood since carved oud also takes clean woody approach to an oud fragrance. I am in US.

  • ThatMulattoDude says:

I own Versace Oud Noir and was pleased to see Steven draw a comparison to that fragrance in describing Carved Oud. I do like that it goes it’s own way though. I also really enjoy the bottle, understated yet elegant. I would like to add this to my collection. Many blessings from Virginia, USA. Thanks for the generosity of the giveaway.

  • Love the description of a smooth Oud! Thanks to Steven’s great review I’ll be adding this to my collection for New Jersey USA cold winters.

  • I hear Steven talks about Oud! I’m relatively new to oud. I have just purchased a decant by Profumum Roma Vir. I’d love to check out Carved Oud by Thameen. The different types of Oud has me excited.

  • I’ve heard a TON of hype about this scent but have not tried it yet. I’m happy to hear that its an easily accesible oud. I love the funkier oud varieties, but I have several already and I’m always looking for new stuff to wear to work that has interest and depth but is still “safe”. I appreciated Steven’s comments about the oud here being very noticeable but smooth and well-rounded. Also nice to hear him mention the cardamom being very present in the fragrance since I’m a big fan of its particular type of spice. I live in NC, USA.

  • What appealed to me from the video was the claim that this fragrance smelled like ” wealth and richness”. US

  • Hailing from the USA here, and I found that Steven’s review resonated with me because it reminded me of some smells I was fond of when I was a teenager but can never seem to find anymore. After seeing his opinions on the grandiosity of this fragrance I am really eager to try it myself!

  • I always enjoy Steven’s reviews. Since I really like Tom Ford’s Oud Wood, I am sure I will enjoy Thameen London Carved Wood. I am glad to hear the longevity is good. I live in the USA.

    Thanks for the giveaway.

  • Stevens review gives better idea of a fragrance. He goes above and beyond describing it. I am interested in Carved Oud because I love TF Oud Wood and it resembles the same scent. I am from USA-Seattle
    Thank you

  • Angela Macropoulos says:

Thameen as a house is pure elegance. I have Peregrina which I adore. When I tested Carved Oud, the SA said that it was masculine-directed, but to me, this is the sexy unisex frag that I would love on a summer night. It reads summer cool and easy to me.

  • RonaldProkes17 says:

Steven’s description of how the cardamom is used in this fragrance had me really interested in trying it out. I am also very interested in the drydown. How the oud and vetiver play off of each other. I loved Steven’s review and I’m also interested in Christopher Chong’s direction as head of this house. I was a big fan of what he did as head of Amouage.

  • doubletree903 says:

Thanks for sharing Steven! Oddly enough I first learned of this fragrance a week ago so it was timely to see your review! I am in the US!

  • paulguynj says:

Steven described this scent perfectly. I smelled this scent at ScentXplore and lived it. Steven’s review put into words what I experienced when smelling this great fragrance.

  • petergigov says:

Last time I politely asked in the future Thameen London reviews Michelyn, or some of Cafleurebon contributors to let us know about if there a difference between the blue , and red bottles from the brand? I’ve seen a lot reviews, and pictures of the same fragrances, and some bottles are blue, sone are red?!? Are they the same , or the red ones are with higher concentrated, or maybe it’s just collectable, limited edition bottles. Let us know please
Carved Oud is appealing to me because of the classy , non barnyard oud , cardamom, a bit of vanilla and the smooth qualities.
Potential compliment getter of the highest quality possible.
I have no experience with the house
    Exciting giveaway, USA

  • Eric Enzman says:

I had the great pleasure of sampling Carved Oud a few months ago. fantastic scent that has remained at the top of my wishlist – there is the obvious comparison to Oud Wood by Tom Ford that Steven alludes to, but this scent is much less linear. The dry down is absolutely gorgeous with no touches of animality. This also performs slightly better than Oud Wood in my experience. I would love to win this fragrance – would ship to Pittsburgh, Pa USA

  • Steven take on Carved Oud made me think of making multiple Vanilla Cardamom Bundt Cakes , with Vanilla Bean and Five Spice Maple Glaze for some big Gala Event . I imagined making the cakes, and later on attending the event myself, all dressed up.
I rarely wear suits, but for such occasions Carved Oud sounds perfect , premium oud fragrance.
Appreciate the review, and the giveaway campaign

  • Michael Reilly says:

The richness of the fragrance that Steven described really interests me with the agarwood, spices, and musk. And then the cardamom layered in sounds heavenly!
    I live in Virginia, USA

  • Great review as always. The description of how seamlessly the oud is blended in with the other notes to create such a masterpiece has to be smelled!
    North Dakota, USA

  • Really appreciate Steven’s video and explanation how the ingredients work harmoniously together. Love this house. NY, USA

  • A great fragrance I do like it n like oud wood too.
Hopefully I can win the giveaway ✌

  • Really interesting how Steven describes it as smelling of “wealth and richness” and has my interests. The harmony of this fragrance sounds very nice, like a perfect balance. From TX, USA.

  • I liked that Steven mentioned the oud being smooth and soft in this perfume and that it is opulent and regal as well. I also like the other supporting notes. Steven also mentioned Carved Oud being very high quality which sounds great as does the performance. Thanks for the generous draw, from CT USA.

  • cdpigford says:

Steven makes me feel this is one of the best oud fragrances to have!! Cheers from Los Angeles!!

  • ianbradleyandrews says:

Steven is so thorough is his review and the Cedarwood in this sounds incredible I have never smelled anything from this house but would love to. I live in Indiana.

  • Ken White says:

I would like to feel opulent and rich. According to Steven, this ticks all the boxes. New Jersey, USA

  • fragaddictma says:

I liked Steven’s review. He explained that it is tamed oud that is not animalic and close to TF oud wood or versace oud noir and both I like very much. From the video I gathered that there were a lot of notes mixed really well but cardamom stands out. But it seemed to include sandalwood, patchouli and cedar. Overall, it sounds like a great fragrance and for some reason I did not hear of it before so I am glad you guys are bringing it to light. Would love to enter the giveaway.

  • Thanks for sharing such a descriptive, well-presented review, Steven. The notes that he listed sound luxurious and fascinating, working in harmony with one another. I would love to try this release from such a revered house. I live in the USA. Thanks for the opportunity.

  • B. D. Robinson says:

Carved Oud recently sparked my attention because I too enjoy Oud Wood. Steven’s description gave some clarity on how wearable it is and confirmed for me that it’s not animalic. It’s composed of a number of notes that I thoroughly enjoy and I’d love to try it. Thanks for the opportunity.

  • Love Regent Leather. Been curious about Carved Oud. Thameen looks to have many good ones.

  • bigscoundrel says:

I sampled a decant of Carved Oud before, and I love this fragrance. Steven’s descriptions match my experience exactly. I really hope I win. It’s one of my most favorite scents ever. New Jersey, USA.

  • ArcheJosh says:

The Oud in Carved Oud being of different variety, as Steven describes as being soft and smooth, than the usual heavy, animalic found in other fragrances as well as the spices and cardamom is what appeals to me. The cypriol he depicts being herbal or aromatic, the opulence of it all, and the seemingly high quality of Carved Oud has me very keen on the smell of it too. The bottle is absolutely beautiful too. I live in Maryland, USA. I really hope that I win this fragrance, it will be my first one ever!!

  • Regis Monkton says:

From this company, I enjoy “Regent Leather”, so I’m interested to try this one. I like oud, and I want to see what it’s like in this fragrance. I own and enjoy “Versace Pour Homme Oud Noir”, so therefore I feel like I might like this one too. I like hearing that it has good overall performance. I live in MD, U.S.A.

  • FragranceIsMe says:

Steven is one of very few fragrance enthusiasts that bear heavy weight in the fragrances my wife and I chose to purchase. His reviews are consistent and in-depth. His descriptions are very well presented and truly provide a great starting point (and many times a finishing point 🙂 ) for fragrances we find to be of interest. The review of Thameen’s Carved Oud is no different. Many enthusiasts have compared this creation as a dupe of TF Oud Wood. However, Steven’s description provided so much more information that explains some of the comparisons but elevates this fragrance on it’s unique characteristics. I’m looking forward to getting my nose on this one. Again, thanks Steven. I live in Pennsylvania, USA

  • Steven’s descriptions not only nail the notes, but nail the vibe! I’m in California

  • Johnmc5000 says:

    Love things opulent and rich.
Have not smelled an offering from this house. Can’t wait to try.
    Oklahoma USA

  • Wow what’s not to like about Thameen Carved Oud. Steven’s video review described it very well, as his videos usually do, as a regal, opulent, rich perfume. I like oud of all kinds, but it’s great that this is blended with so many earthy and woody notes, which I also love. Didn’t know that Tom Ford Oud Wood was Taylor Swift’s signature perfume. I am a Redolessence subscriber and always enjoy Steven’s video reviews, and Michelyn’s introductions, which is missing here. Thanks for a very generous draw and a lovely review. Like the bottle too. I am from the continental United States.

  • Trinity33 says:

I like oud and am always interested in experiencing it in different formats. The spice and earth elements seem to really support the oud. The addition of vanilla seems to add sweetness. I love the aesthetic of Thameen London. The blue bottle is gorgeous! MD, USA.

  • I have been eyeing this house and particularly this fragrance for some time, I am happy to see Steven reviewing this. I would love to get my hands on this opulent oud!
    From Tennessee, USA

  • Steven always does a very thorough review so it really helps to expose scents that I’ve probably never heard of. Thameen has a lot of steam in the fragrance community so being able to try one out would be a great experience. Located in California. Thank you.

  • Steven writes that this is an accessible oud and is not of the animalic variety. That, along with it’s earth tones and spices make it an appealing choice to wear during cold weather season. I live in the USA.

  • Regal, Opulent, and Royalty! I love Oud and for this to be non-animalic, according to Steven, makes it more wearable. I live in California, USA. Hope to win a bottle!

  • Steven describes the oud in a manner that is something that I like, I am not into the anamalic over the top oud/agarwood. He says its soft and smooth with musk and some spiciness. I have always liked Tom Ford Oud Wood, but my understanding is this may be even better. Thanks for the draw. Greg USA

  • Another review well done Steven! I’ve been interested in the Thameen house and this would be a great entry to it. What allures me to Carved Oud is the accessibility of the wear while smelling smooth and regal. Would love to own a bottle.

    Atlanta, Ga

  • Great review Steven. I liked that he called it a type of royalty Fragrance house. I been wanting to sample this Fragrance house. Thank you for this Chance USA

  • Half-Pint says:

I love cardamom and was thrilled to hear Steven say that it stands proudly at the forefront of this fragrance. This one has quite the reputation nowadays and I’ve been curious about it for a while. I love oud but prefer the ones that have been toned down a bit, that way I don’t have to worry about it being too much for my coworkers, friends, or family to handle. I live in VA, USA.

  • A wearable oud is just what I’m looking for… A little sweet, a little spicy. Thank you for this draw, would love to try this! I live near Boston, USA

  • Nick Wetherell says:

Glad Steven gave references for the character of the oud in the fragrance. I’ve been shying away from animalics lately. That being said, I do enjoy easy to wear ouds like oud and wood and good performance doesn’t hurt. Would love to get a chance to add it to the wardrobe. I live in the US.

  • Yordan Krumov says:

I love that Steven invited the ladies to try it by sharing Taylor swift using similar scent. I’ve been on the hunt for this fragrance for a while. Loved that finally we got a great review on it.

  • bhernandez says:

So glad to read and watch Steven going over, and emphasize, that the Oud in the fragrance is not animalic.
That is appealing to know. Also, Guatemalan cardamom. I know the country very well. They called Green Gold (oro verde), because they’re richness.

I haven’t tried any of Thameen London fragrances yet, and Carved Oud would be a lovely addition to my collection.
Thanks to Çafleurebon, Steven, and of course to Thameen London for this giveaway.

  • Still being new to collecting fragrances and being an older gentleman, I’m still trying to find my style. At 48 yrs old, I don’t want to smell young but I don’t want to smell vintage either, if that makes sense. I still want come off as fun but serious when needed, a perfect balance and that’s what I look for in fragrances. Steven described this as “Royalty” and “Opulent”, which sounds like the direction I’m headed. I’ve seen this house a lot but haven’t had the opportunity to try anything from it as of yet. This sounds like it would be a great one to start with.

    Indiana USA

  • Oh that’s interesting about the connection of Thameen to Amouage, I have been loving all of the Thameen I’ve tried so far… the Carved oud is one I haven’t yet! I’m so excited to try it, especially after this article and video.
    In California thank you

  • Oh boy, I am a huge fan of Thameen London and Carved Oud is one of its masterpieces, so I am hugely excited by this giveaway.
I think Steven always delivers great reviews and this one is yet another one.
Carved Oud is such a great oud fragrance, the elegance, the nice smooth oud it delivers is just amazing. That was hook me the most to this review.

  • I’ve tried a sample of Carved Oud before and really enjoyed it! Steven’s review really captured how smooth and regal it feels. I would love it win a bottle! I’m in MN, USA.

  • John Jones says:

I love everything about this house. I’ve been a huge fan for years! As usual Steven nailed this review & I loved everything about it! I live in Boston, Massachusetts.

  • Michael Prince says:

What appealed to me about Steven’s review of Thameen’s Carved Oud is how it reminds him of other great oud based fragrances on the market such as Oud Wood and Oud Noir, but it has it’s own identity. A nice wearable oud with seductive cardamom and excellent performance sounds perfect. I have also heard great things in the fragrance community about Carved Oud, so I would love to try it. I am from the USA.

  • wallygator88 says:

Thanks for the nice review Steven.

I’ve been curious about this house for a while. It’s quite interesting that Christopher Chong of Amouage is the current creative director.

The presentation is quite beautiful. The notes are really rich, lots of spice, powderiness and woodiness. I love the fact that the agarwood is woody, smooth and works well to add to the exotic and rich nature of the fragrance.

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • Carved Oud does sound great for colder weather, Steve. I liked that it contains pink pepper, cedar and iris notes….perfect for winter. As a fan of oud, I’d love to experience this fragrance. Thanks for the opportunity to sniff. Mich USA

  • Outstanding review by Steven of Thameen by Carved Oud. What appealed to me from his review is he said it smelled of royalty and wealth. I truly believe in prosperity, blessings and opulence so this fragrance makes me very interested in getting my nose on it. Thanks for the amazing giveaway!-!-! I live in CA, USA.

  • I love that striking blue Thameen London bottle—excellent packaging. Steven pointed out that Carved Oud highlights the smooth “personality” of oud, which is my preferred expression, and easier to wear year around. The aromatic, herbal qualities of cypriol are also really appealing next to an easygoing oud. “Regal” and “opulent” sounds good to me. Thanks for the review, Steven.

I’m in the USA. Thanks for the giveaway!

  • I have smelled Carved Oud at a fragrance outlet before and it literally blew my mind! I was seriously awe-struck thinking about how beautifully this was constructed. To me, this is a masterpiece! As always, loved Steven’s thoughts on this fragrance and as he said, this is extremely smooth, rich and opulent. This is on my wish list since I smelled it. Thank you so much for this giveaway and I would be honored to have this in my collection. Love from USA!

I’m familiar with more than half of Thameen fragrances, and if I have to rate my favorite ones:
    1. Nassak / Carved Oud
    2. Amber Room
    3. Cullinan Diamond
Carved Oud is in my opinion one of the best easy to wear oud base fragrances, exceptionally well made , and the performance is top notch. Like Steven pointed out there are similarities with Oud Wood. I’m a die hard Tom Ford fanboy, and even though it pains me to say that, but Carved Oud is better in every single way, it’s more refined, and I particularly like the addition of iris, and more more pronounced patchouli. Not to mention performance of Carved Oud is much better too , compared to Oud Wood.
    Nassak is in my possession
All profiles I already follow, @waltherp99bg

  • I’ve been as a adult to Tower of London, of course the public areas and I saw the Crown Jewels exhibit, and also to Smithsonian Institute as a teen , both experiences I’ll never forget , both inspirations for Thameen fragrances.
There are two perfumes of the brand I’ve sampled , and Carved Oud is one of them , the other one is Royal Sapphire .
With heis review Steven transported me to a old wooden cabin in the woods, getaway vacation with my husband , and overall cozy, and warm experience.
I think one Vanilla Martini will only add to the whole picture
Royal Sapphire and Carved Oud are awesome to the same extent
I’ll now actually treat myself with Vanilla Martini , cheers , and thank you for the opportunity

  • I’m not familiar with Thameen London yet , but I’m aware Carved Oud is their most popular fragrance , at least on social media .
Classy and refined woody spicy fragrance , with playful cardamom , i think I can make a statement wearing Carved Oud
I like the great performance of one modern and bold fragrance
    Thanks for the draw
