Ramon Monegal Cherry Musk Review (Ramon Monegal) +Cerezos en flor Valle del Jerte Giveaway

Cherry Musk by Ramon Monegal

Ramon Monegal Cherry Musk byOlya Bar

“One of the nicest things we can enjoy in Spain in March, is the flowering of over a million cherry trees on the valle del Jerte, painting a sea of white flowers of sublime scent that will turn into the fruit of desire: cherries. Impossible to resist the temptation to interpret it, impossible to resist the temptation to wrap it in musk.” – Ramon Monegal

In the realm of fragrance, where scents become stories and memories unfold with every spray, Ramon Monegal Cherry Musk stands as an olfactory masterpiece. It transports me to a world where the allure of raspberry candy meets the comforting embrace of warm dryer sheets. Imagine the familiar aroma of freshly laundered towels, still radiating heat, intertwined with the gentle fruitiness of shampoo lingering delicately in your hair. That is the essence of Cherry Musk—a fragrance that invites you to lose yourself in its whimsical charm.

This fragrant creation is like a billowy white cloud of musk, beckoning you to surrender and immerse yourself in its embrace. It doesn’t strive to be anything other than what it is—a tender and affectionate concoction. Its olfactory fingerprint is a pastel tapestry of subtlety, the soft velvety texture of the cherry petals before it becomes the fruit, where the initial burst of juicy berries is tamed by the creamy heart of white florals, seamlessly entwined within a mélange of woods. The scent hovers above you, forming a beautiful aura that leaves an indelible mark.

Senor Monegal, drawing inspiration from the bountiful wonders of his native Spain, has ingeniously captured the picturesque allure, raw ingredients, and essence of its seasons. With Cherry Musk, he masterfully highlights the blossoming cherry trees that transform the streets of Spain into an aromatic wonderland. From the very first spritz, Ramon Monegal Cherry Musk exudes an irresistible juiciness, with cherries and raspberries reminiscent of sweet candy, their brilliance sparkling like dewdrops on a tranquil morning.

The cassis accord in Ramon Monegal Cherry Musk shines as a multifaceted composition on its own. It boasts fruity and woody notes, interwoven with a sensually harmonious animalic aspect that bridges the gap between green and red fruit scents. It imparts a tantalizing impression of dark berries, like tangy mulberries, and botanical blossoms grounded in an earthy galbanum-like base.

Ramon Monegal Cherry Musk

As the heart unfolds, the vivaciousness of the berries mellows under the caress of jasmine and white rose. This delicate balance brings forth an exquisite harmony that captivates the senses, inviting us into a realm of refined elegance and tender beauty. Yet, beneath the surface, a subtle musky current flow, infusing the entire composition with a comforting warmth and ethereal cloud-like sensation. It lifts the fragrance above the realm of the ordinary, creating an otherworldly experience that defies description. And just when you think the journey has reached its conclusion, a dash of oakmoss adds a savory facet that completes the extraordinary symphony of scents.

Notes: Cherry, Raspberry, Cassis, Jasmine, White Rose, Cedarwood, Amberwood, Oakmoss, White Musk.

The bottle of Ramon Monegal Cherry Musk was kindly gifted to me by Twisted Lily, where I am a digital marketing strategist but opinions are always my own.

  • Cherry can be a tricky note, I think, but I like it when it’s done well, and Cherry Musk does indeed sound like it’s done well. I like how Olya describes it as “tender and affectionate”: sometimes I need that in a perfume!
I have not smelled anything by Ramon Monegal, but i would like to!

  • The fascinating origins of this perfume and how gorgeous it must be sparks my interest. I loved the photos and all the interesting facts in the review. I never tried this house but my favourite would probably be Ibiza #SUNSETCAFE because I’m a coffee maniac. I live in Trzebnica, Poland, EU.

  • Love the fruity Floral musky notes. Another masterpiece by Ramon Monegal. I heard so much about this Fragrance house. Thank you for this Chance USA

  • Cherry musk sounds like a great perfume

Ps I really love Fragrance Vault because they have great selection of vintages USA

  • I liked the mention of juicy cherries and raspberries. Cherry Musk sounds like a perfect fit for summer. Thanks for the opportunity to sniff. Mich USA

  • Ramon Monegal Cherry Musk seems like a fruity floral musky creation that starts on a cherry candy note with musky undertones and ends the journey with notes like jasmine and rose. However, the composition also has an underlying warmth. I am in US.

I’m curious how different Cherry Musk is from other well-known cherry fragrances: Miss Dior Cherie, La Petite Robe Noire and Lust Cherry?

  • The vision of a sea of flowers interpreted through the cozy towels and shampoo is rather wonderful. I have yet to try a Monegal scrnt but this sounds wonderful. I live in the USA

  • Cozy towels and shampoo make this sound like a perfect bedtime scent but the myriad note shifts and subtleties described later mean its so much more. I have yet to try a Monegal fragrance. I live in the USA

Olya Bar joyful review of Cherry Musk almost transported me to Ibiza in a warm Summer day.
The brand’s heritage and Mediterranean essence blend perfectly to create a fragrance that embodies freedom and calmness. I saw myself dressed up on the Mediterranean coastline . Coral Redlinen suit, white shirt shirt, no tie , and loafers is the outfit suited for Cherry Musk. The fragrance i believe is long lasting, smells natural, and inviting at the same time.
If I’m not mistaken it was last Summer when I’ve smelled Olé on a client at the tailor store, my first Ramon Monegal experience , it smelled so grand on him . I sampled the fragrance first , and now i can say Olé with a bottle of my own
Thank you Olya Bar, Fragrance Vault , Ramon Monegal

  • Cherry blossom is one my favorite flower tree to smell in the spring, it’s so nice an delicate. I can see how the musk complements the flowers and the oakmoss brings a savory facet.
From the ones I have smelled from RM, my favorite is Soul of Oud.
    I’m in the EU.

  • I’m so curious about this one, because it contains some of my favorite notes: cherry, berries and musk. Also, Olya describes it as a juicy, sparkly, serene fragrance with an underflow of this warmth and comfort provided by the musk, and that sounds amazing.
I live in the EU and I love Olé and Faisa.

  • The description of this fragrance is wonderful.
I can imagine eating these cherries under a tree.
I don’t know the perfumes of this brand, very interesting.

  • Nice review Olya! I love cherrys and love them in perfumery even most of the time are misused in cheap air fresheners. As spanish, I can understand the love of Ramon Monegal for Valle del Jerte: it is an amazing place to be in the cherry blossom season (and months later eat the cherrys that came from there). Mr. Monegal decides to wrap the cherrys in white musks: amazing counterpoise!. in Sakura Aqua de Parma, Mr. Demachey mix them but the citrus of the brand provides a different scent. Here Ramon captures the essence of the juice fruit with the help of tart raspberries and woody green cassis. The bridge to the musks are in hand of white flowers. I love the elegance and beauty that the scent emanates. I love in a torrid summer as we have, La Isla Blanca, a salty radiant white musk. I live in Spain, EU.

I really love fruit fragrances, so seeing that this will contain cherry is what got my attention, but now knowing that it also has a Cedarwood, and Amberwood, I’m very excited to see what this actually smells like, and what it would smell like on me. The story is also another part that grabs my attention, it sounds beautiful to see cherry trees in Spain, or to even smell like it.

  • What sparked my interest is I have smelled Cherry Musk in a sample vial some time ago and this review reminded me of it. My favorite is Impossible Iris and Cherry Musk. US

  • I have yet to try Cherry Musk, but the ones I managed to test by buying a sample set, left me very impressed with the quality and the creativity of this house. I am looking forward to experiencing Cherry Musk as I love both cherries and musk.
    Thank you

Hello from Florida, and thank you to Olya for the review!

Cherries have such a beautiful scent — in perfume, I’ve found it to be a note that can either be done very wrong or very right. Cherry Musk sounds like a wonderful rendition! I’ve never tried any scents by Ramon Monegal, but I’d love for this to be my first.

  • Beautiful review by Olya for “Ramon Monegal Cherry Musk”
What sparks my interest of this fragrance is the scent profile and descriptions of being an “ethereal cloud-like, subtle musky and otherworldly experience that defies description” Absolutely Brilliant:-)
Thanks for the amazing giveaway. Greetings and happiness from the USA.

  • This sounds like an interesting and smooth blend of cherries. I would love to smell this since I own nothing with a cherry note, I tend to lean gourmand.

  • Nicolas89 says:

Thanks for the review, although from your notes I think it’s a bit dense, apparently it stays fresh. From Olya’s opinion I think it can be unisex, I would love to try it. I’m from the EU and my favorite Ramon Monegal perfume is Olé.

  • This sounds like the perfect composition, anytime I hear or read someone say a fragrance transports them to a certain place, that’s my kind of fragrance. This also has some of my favorite notes. I love a musky fragrance. I haven’t had the pleasure of trying any Monegal fragrances yet.

  • I am interested in a cherry scent that goes off in a different direction. Lately everything has been CHERRY and for me it isn’t always successful, but a softer approach might be exactly what I seek. In maryland

  • This sounds like a lovely uncomplicated summer fragrance. Delicious berry, feminine florals and woody musk make for a joyful perfume. My favorite Monegal is Impossible Oris. I’m in the US

Olya’s review captured my attention with the descriptors of “raspberry candy” and “warm dryer sheets”. I’ve got to get my nose on this one, for sure. My favorites from this house are Flamenco and Mon Patchouly, of which I lovingly own 🙂

Summers in Southern Europe, maraschino cherries gracing mountains on gelato, juicy lipgloss, girls giggling – this perfume reminds me of those.

I live in Portugal, and I would not mind wearing a memory like that.

Thank you for the fabulous review, Olya!
Oh my goodness, everything about Cherry Musk sounds so dreamy to me! I can nearly smell this beautiful perfume through your writing and the stunning bouquet of notes.
After reading a review of Siesta on Ca Fleure Bon a while back, I got my hands on a sample of it, and it was love at first sniff. Currently Siesta is my favorite from this wonderful line, but I have a feeling if I got my nose on Cherry Musk that it might take that spot 🙂

Cherry with a galbanum base sounds interesting. I need to get to the Fragrance Vault, it’s an hour and a half from my son’s house, but I was there in December and not interested in that drive. I haven’t had much opportunity to smell this line, but I did enjoy Flamenco. Loved that red bottle. Thanks for the chance. USA.

  • ElenaChiss says:

I have had my eyes on Cherry Musk ever since I got to test several of Ramon Monegal’s creations. Unfortunately, I managed to miss this one for such a long time… all the reviews on the internet pray Cherry Musk as one of the most interesting offerings of this house. Hopefully, I will get to test it soon. Thanks!

  • Olya always delivers great reviews.
Ramon Monegal is my favorite fragrance house from Spain. My favorite from the house so far is Monbloom.
Cherry Musk combines two notes that I adore in perfumery and I am so eager to try this perfume. I love the inspiration from Spain, the use of raw ingredients. Love the fruity and woody notes it has. I hope I win this one.

Olya’s review is so poetic, so tangible that I feel like reading it again and again as the words wrap me in a fruity – musky – woody – animalic cloud of amazing relaxed floaty goodness. An alluring and yet comforting fragrance that invites me to lose myself in its whimsical charm sounds like a perfume I would most gladly wear around my S.O. and they might appreciate it on themselves too (I am actually certain they would as they are a major cherry lover). The notes are so delectable they leave me with a lingering smile on my face. My favorite from Ramon Monegal as of yet has been Mon Patchouly. Big thank you from Dublin, Republic of Ireland, EU

  • What sparks my interest about Olya’s review is her description of “Cherry Musk” as “an olfactory masterpiece”(…) “that invites you to lose yourself in its whimsical charm.” My favorite Ramon Monegal perfume is Flamenco and I live in Portugal, EU.

    Thank you all!

  • As of now I have only tried one scent from the house and bought a 10ml decant of it, that scent is La Isla Blanca. I was hoping to come across a Ramon Monegal shop on a recent visit to Spain but no luck. The description of a soft musk assentuated by fruit sounds nice.

  • Cherry Musk sounds like a wonderful skin scent—comfortingly clean, beatifully floral, and radiant. The raspberry note is unexpected, but I’m glad Monegal was able to work in some juicy cherry, making the namesake unmistakable. The oakmoss in the drydown also sounds terrific, balancing out the fruit and white flowers.

I’m in the USA. I haven’t tried any Ramon Monegal perfumes.

  • sillage4ever says:

Cherry Musk sounds like an excellent midsummer berries & creamy white flowers perfume, I’d very much like to take a chance on it. Monbloom is my favorite Ramon Monegal so far, looking forward to exploring more of the line.

I’m in the USA, thanks for the generous drawing.

  • sillage4ever says:

I had the pleasure of testing Mandrake a few years ago and really liked its mature take on red fruits and suede. It’s the Parfums Quartana I like the most thus far and it’s satisfying to see this fine perfume getting some extra recognition in the summer season. Thanks for the drawing.

  • The mixture of juicy cherries and creamy white florals in Cherry Musk sounds lovely! I’d love to win a bottle. I’ve never had the opportunity to try any Ramon Monegal perfumes but this seems like a great place to start. I’m in MN, USA.

  • It’s such an honor, and in my opinion a privilege to follow up the path of your life, while stepping on the renowned Spanish Monegal foundation .
Olya Bar take on Cherry Musk made me think of my awesome last year Summer vacation in Valencia, and also making, and later eating Cherry Tarts , drinking Cassis juice , and enjoying my time on the beach. I need to visit the country again soon.
The only Ramon Monegal fragrance i know is Bravo. I had a small decant at first , and a full bottle now .In my Pastry Chef mind , smells like I’m eating Chocolate Ganache Cake with Cassis, drinking freshly squeezed apricot juice , while sitting on a leather sofa.
Appreciate the review, and the giveaway campaign

  • All Ramon Monegal fragrances I’ve smelled up until now are provocative, powerful , and almost bohemian , Cherry Musk sounds awesome.
It seems like it’s vacation type of fragrance with top performance, I’m interested.
Olya review made me believe through Cherry Musk I’ll be able to hear the the sea , smell the blossoming Spanish cherry trees , whereas laying on the hammock , with fruit salad and a book , the smell of a perfect tranquil dream.
One of my favorite fragrances is Impossible Iris – Ramon Monegal. Modern and cozy fruity-floral.

Olya’s description of this fragrance certainly has me captivated. I have no cherry fragrance in my collection yet, so this would make a fine addition. Sadly I have no favorite Ramon Monegal fragrance, as I have not yet smelled anything from them. I live in Sweden, EU.

    Greetings everyone
Mr Topham review of Siesta convinced me I should try Ramon Monegal fragrances for the first time , so I went to Jovoy Paris , and tried 7-8 on paper first, and 3 on skin. From the few I’ve smelled at Jovoy, Siesta and Cherry Musk i like the most. Both are very powerful, and will work great not just in the Summer, but even in the freezing, rainy and windy conditions.
I don’t remember the freshly laundered towels effect Ms Bar told us about , the hard candy , musk and the comforting warmth on the other hand I do , Cherry Musk is so delightful
Thank you, American living in Paris France

  • WaltherP99 says:

It’s very hard for me to rate my 3 favorite Ramon Monegal fragrances, so I’ll name a few Flamenco , Dubai Next to Me , Olé , Faisa, Soul of Oud, Cherry Musk and Bravo .
I’m not exactly on the same page with Olya about Cherry Musk. I do get the cherry blossoms, juicy sweet cherries, the other berries, the musk and the woody nuances, but definitely not the

    “sensually harmonious animalic aspect”
    and
    “earthy galbanum-like base”

In no point of time, from the very opening, to the heart and drydown i find Cherry Musk animalic , earthy and/or galbanum-like. Both the Musk and the jasmine are clean on my skin , and thankfully there’s no galbanum, one of my very least favorite notes in perfumery. On my skin Cherry Musk starts clean, and floral, and in the base it turns into juicy fruity musky gourmand.
All profiles I already follow,i also follow @lauramonegal and @oscarmonegal
    Thanks a lot , @waltherp99bg

  • I always liked Ramon Monegal lifestyle story , his path, and the way he build his own brand well , by building on heritage, love for is home country, and also his own vision of the world.
Cherry Musk is a representation of Spanish cherry blossom traditions fragrance , with added 2023 peaceful personality.
Olya Bar transported me to a yacht in Spain, after all othing tastes finer on a lazy, hazy summer day than a sweet glass of cherry wine. The infusion of sweet cherries, mulberries is as comforting as warm breezes and late-day sunshine, Cherry Musk – is special cocktail made with pinch of refinement .
My favorite Ramon Monegal fragrance is Mon Patchouly . Half earthy, half chocolate patchouli, with amber and incense .
    Thank you for the opportunity

I loved Olya’s review of Ramon Monegal’s Cherry Musk. This sounds absolutely beautiful with airy, sweet, and fruity. This sounds perfect for this time of year. My favorite Ramon Monegal is Flamenco. I am from the USA.

  • That last comment “infusing the entire composition with a comforting warmth and ethereal cloud-like sensation” makes this sound so dreamy! I really enjoy cherry dominant fragrances but I don’t think I’ve ever experienced anything quite like what was described in this review. I would love to try this!
