Based on his output in 2011 I think we are going to have to dub Bertrand Duchaufour, The Hardest Working Man in Perfume. Over the past few weeks I have been wearing the five Mon Numeros I’ve been able to obtain non-stop and they are some of the best work of M Duchaufour’s time at L’Artisan.
In perfumery, the list of scent notes and accords available to work from is long and all-encompassing, from sweet blossoms to tar. It seems fairly inevitable that there will be a note or two we find incomprehensible

One of the edgier perfume houses is Comme des Garcons. Particularly over the last couple of years as they have undertaken co-creative ventures with a number of different artists and translated it into fragrances. For the collaboration with Hussein Chalayan they chose to take inspiration from his Autumn/Winter 2007 collection titled ‘Airborne’. The most buzzed about look at that show was the dress which was covered with LED lights and that gave the effect of flying through the clouds as it shifted and flowed.
