When I received the press release announcing the collaboration between Le Labo founders Fabrice Penot and Edouard Roschi with the chain store Anthropologie I was thinking here is another step up the stairway to niche finding a wider audience.
Ida’s and Michelyn’s ‘Best Scent of the Year 2010’ award went to Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s Abslolue pour le Soir & L’Artisan Parfumeur Traversee du Bosophore. What better way for the winners to celebrate a new decade?
Monica Miller’s Kwanzaa was traditionally spent at Sounds of Brazil nightclub NYC dancing the night away with Babatunde Olatunji and his Drums of Passion group. As a performer and a man of fashion Baba was very fond of dressing up in his beautiful African textiles and always looked very handsome and regal. Monica proposes a scent wardrobe as royal as the man, in honor of Kwanzaa.
Both scents are reminders for me of happy childhood memories. Bravo Christopher and thank you for being so simple and pure.
