One of my favorite places to spend the first week of April is walking around the Tidal Basin in Washington DC. There is the freshness of the spring air, the very slightly floral character of the cherry blossoms, magnified by their abundance, paired with the woodiness of the trees. It is one of those magical moments only nature provides.
