“Topaz is really special to me because it grew out of a simple moment of friendship that turned into something lasting and meaningful. Working with Vincent Ricord on this creation was amazing — he has a way of turning emotions into scent, and together we wanted to bottle the warmth, loyalty, and light that true friendship brings.’ –Moe Khalaf, Creative Director and Founder (to Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief exclusively for this review)

KAJAL’s creative lab is a treasure trove, giving us one dazzling jewel after another, and I’m here for every single drop. From succulent fruits to florals bursting in full glory, each release is a sensory feast that leaves me craving more. KAJAL Topaz hits you with a vibrant splash of candied orange blossom soaked in rum, spiked with a zesty lime twist that’s pure sunshine. Then, the heart blooms open with lush rose and jammy cassis, rich and intoxicating. Worried it’s too much decadence? Hold on for the base. It’s a blend of salty ambergris, plush ambroxan that wraps you in a big scent cloud, and a grounding cedarwood whisper. Yet, it’s all so perfectly balanced, never tipping into overwhelming. There is also a little treat hidden within the composition, a sugary lemon accord that sparkles like a childhood candy, tugging at nostalgic heartstrings.

This IS KAJAL’S DNA distilled. It’s a vibrant and mood-lifting powerhouse that I’ll be drenching myself in for months, a warm shield against the chilly days ahead, whispering promises of summer’s return.

  • Steven provided an efficient, layered review of the fragrance, he really triggered my curiosity. I respect his opinion & the bottle is stunning. The introduction touched me the most. The fact that this art grew out of friendship is very touching. I want to smell what bottled warmth, loyalty and light smells like! Sounds amazing lol! The article bookended the manifestation of true friendship by describing the crescendo of scents that create this (hopefully lol) amber masterpiece. Would love to experience this, Kudos guys!

  • I enjoyed Steven’s YouTube review for his passionate breakdown of the notes and how he highlighted its uplifting vibe. Moe Khalaf’s introduction was heartfelt, capturing the essence of friendship turned into scent. Olya’s written review vividly described the sunny, balanced decadence that makes Topaz so appealing. I live in Poland, EU

  • Topaz is special for Moe Khalaf because he crafted the scent with Vincent Richord whose work he admires, and their partnership and friendship is reflected in the creation of Topaz.

For Olya, Topaz is another gem from the house: a vibrant splash of candied lemon-orange blossom soaked in rum, spiked with a zesty lime twist; a lush rose and jammy cassis, rich and intoxicating. It is a scent that is decadent yet perfectly balanced and grounded. It is vibrant, mood-lifting and perfect for cooler months.

Steve’s assessment is similar. Topaz is a high quality, long lasting, juicy, fruity fragrance with candied lemon, a smooth rum, a bright and luminous ambroxan note in the dry down giving it a sweetness that is retained from the opening to the dry down. Topaz is another fragrance he believes is deserving of hype because of its quality, performance and raw materials. It is a beautiful, playful scent that can be worn for all occasions.

  • The intro alerted to me why Topaz is special to Moe, Olya told me this is perfectly balanced and the video exlplained more about the listed notes. US

  • After reading and watching the reviews I expect this scent to hit me with a vibrant splash of candied lemon soaked in rum, spiked with a zesty lime and jammy cassis. A tropical juicy and sweet fragrance. I am in EU.

  • Looking at the notes, I’d also would have thought this would go on the tropical direction. Now, to put out another fruity scent after Kolada it’s a choice but I’m glad is kind of more of a mix between sweet and that candied lemon note. To me, judging the bottle itself I’d gone on an amber direction but Moe mentioned it’s inspired by a true friendship and yes, friendships have a sunny/luminous hue to them. Olya also mentioned “it’s a warm shield against the chilly days ahead” and I really can see that. It’s truly a cornucopia of different styles all bottled into Topaz. I really need to start digging into Kajal more, they’re pumping scents out at meteoric rates but each with the utmost quality and unique stories. I follow @cafleurebonofficial on IG and my handle is Ramses.d.perez. I’m located in the USA.

  • Steven has described this scent as competently as ever, highlighting the evolution of notes and the performance. Moe’s introduction was truly touching, emphasizing the importance of true friendship, even when captured in a perfume, while Olya’s description was absolutely decadent! The boozy fruity and floral aspects and the sugary lemon reminiscent of childhood sound fantastic!

  • I absolutely loved the Kajal Topaz 2025 review! Steven’s YouTube video was so engaging—his excitement was contagious, and the way he described the scent made me feel like I was smelling it right alongside him. Olya’s written review was beautifully expressive, like reading a love letter to Topaz. Her words painted such a vivid picture of the fragrance’s elegance and glow. And Moe Khalaf’s introduction? So heartfelt and inspiring! It gave real depth to the story behind the scent.

Together, they made Topaz feel like more than just a perfume—it’s a gem with a soul. I’m genuinely moved… and really hoping to win the giveaway so I can experience it myself! Cheers from NY, USA

Ok Steven had me at Candied lemon…and the thought of a Mango vibe and the color of the bottle screams fall, and Olays description of the notes, I absolutely would love to have this beautiful one in my collection.. I live in Orlando Florida, USA

  • Steven is the most comprehensive and entertaining perfume reviewer on YouTube. You know you have something very special when he speaks highly of a scent. You can tell by his sincere demeanor that he speaks from his heart and is full of candor. Would love to try this new delicious sounding scent. United Kingdom.

  • Kajal Perfumes development is absolutely remarkable and their future is bright with Moe Khalaf being the captain of the ship. I know all of Kajal fragrances excluding Topaz , and one other Kajal project just recently revealed to the public at Pitti Fragranze in Florence called “The Whispering Oud” . If I have to rate my favorite Kajal fragrances depending on my mood
    1.Lamar/ ÄICAN
    2. Almaz / Dahab
    3. Kajal IV / Ruby / Kolada
Vincent Ricord is awesome, I know a few of the fragrances he composed, no wonder Moe is so found of him.
Topaz in my opinion was one the most anticipated fragrance in the community ever since Kajal started teasing us on Instagram. As usual because of all fragrances that came before people’s expectations for Topaz are through the roof . I’m sure Kajal delivered since Olya and Steven are so excited even though their opinions are not exactly the same. Zesty candied lime is there, soaked in rum according to Olya , not as much according to Steven. I’m very much interested if I’ll be able to get rose and cassis like Olya since Steven is not picking up the two.
Imo Moe and Vincent Rixord were able to find a way to Ideally match the juicy and slightly candied fruits , the rum , cassis and the typical for Kajal sense of refinery.
All profiles I already follow, @waltherp99bg . I also follow @eaudemoe , Moe Khalaf side project , and Omar Ayoub
    Thanks a lot

  • Love the bottle. Excellent craftsmanship for a beautiful scent! I think it’s slight different from the original. citruses with rum then jammy rose and ambroxan! I am a fan of Moe’s creations! I am also a fan of sugary citrus scents!

  • Captivating introduction by Moe Khalaf and enthusiastic reviews by Olya Bar and Redolessence , job well done .I can’t help but to be impressed how Moe Khalaf was able to achieve so much , and also how he gave the hard task of making Topaz to Vincent Ricord. There is a reason why I saw (on Instagram) that at the latest fragrance exhibition in Italy people were gathering non-stop at Kajal Perfumes booth to try the new gem.
“KAJAL Topaz hits you with a vibrant splash of candied orange blossom soaked in rum, spiked with a zesty lime twist that’s pure sunshine”
Beautiful , I find Topaz delightful for the explosive start, candied citruses and ambroxan on one part , and the rum and cassis on the other.
Other than wanting to win Topaz , I’d also love to visit Kajal headquarters one day it will be so much fun
EU , thank you very much

  • I loved that Steven mentioned that Topaz gave him a bit of a mango feel. I love mango, so hearing that made me even more curious. He also spoke about the overall quality of the fragrance, and I appreciate when a reviewer highlights that aspect so it makes me feel like this isn’t just another synthetic fruity mess but something more refined.
Moe’s introduction was very heartfelt. I liked how he described Topaz as something that grew out of friendship and how he wanted it to capture warmth and loyalty. That background gives the perfume more meaning.
Olya’s review tied it all together for me. Her description of the citrus and rum opening, the rose and cassis in the heart, and then the softer, grounding base made me imagine how balanced the fragrance must feel. Between the three perspectives, Topaz comes across as bright, fun, and uplifting, but still carefully crafted.

  • I love how the things worked out for Moe Khalaf , the knowledgeable and humble guy who founded Kajal. Through a lot of hard work and dedication he was able to expand and develop to such a level , that now fragrance enthusiasts are trembling when there’s a new release.

“This IS KAJAL’S DNA distilled. It’s a vibrant and mood-lifting powerhouse that I’ll be drenching myself in for months, a warm shield against the chilly days ahead, whispering promises of summer’s return” – Olya Bar
Big time YES to upscale niche perfumery, Kajal, daring approaches and aesthetics , and people mindsets like Moe Khalaf , Olya Bar and Redolessence. In Topaz I like the sweet fruits , longevity , the boozy nuances and the dance between the European appeal and Middle Eastern mystical essence . Everything in Topaz i find rich and inviting ,even the beautiful bottle.
Kajal is one of my favorite brands, intricate fragrances with unique DNA , always long lasting and with one of a kind bottles. Lamar I own, my favorite that’s why I was patiently anticipating Topaz review on Cafleurebon.
    Thanks a bunch

  • Steven has become my “go-to” YouTube influencer regarding fragrance. He piqued my interest almost immediately with is his discussion that this is more of a “fruity” candied lemon fragrance with a hint of rum without the spiciness typical of many fruit-rum based fragrances. Yet, Olya’s review leans heavier to a “candied orange-blossom soaked in rum”. And both Steven and Olya state that the base is a long-lasting ambergris-ambroxan with light woody notes. Wow! Mr. Khalaf brings this fragrance to life in his description of bringing the warmth and light of friendship together into a lovely, lasting fragrance. This sounds fantastic. I confess that I do not have an Kajal fragrances, but this sounds like a real possibility for me. Thanks so much for the reviews! DrD7 in Reno, Nevada.

  • I liked both Steven and Olya reviews on this perfume, with the most interesting thing being that Steven was lead to a mango vibe scent initially, so this sounds good to me. Also the presentation, colour and bottle looks just great. I would love to try this one, i’m from EU.

It seems like Redolessence and Olya Bar do have a lot of past memories with Kajal Perfumes, I do know the brand too , Vincent Ricord i just found out about thanks to the intro by Moe Khalaf . Other than a successful business owner he’s is a nice guy , showing respect to the perfumer Vincent Ricord, interesting detail.
Topaz instantly triggered Redolessence and Olya Bar good times tropical memories on some sun-drenched terrace with juicy fruits, some rum and velvety warmth . Candied lime and cassis are favorites of mine, let alone how both contributors implied Topaz possesses a carefree demeanor , exquisite pleasure I’d love to win.
Kajal Perfumes strongly associate with the first Lamar , one of my best fragrances in my collection
Thank you very much Kajal Perfumes , and special thanks to Redolessence and Olya Bar for the hard work

  • Thanks to Olya Bar and Redolessence co-review i started thinking about all kinds of warm and tropical moments I’d like to experience not only in the Summer , but all year round.
I’m now curious about Topaz and the way it evolves. The contrast between the delicious candied fruits, cassis , day and night, innocence and temptation is to die for. Topaz was crafted from Moe Khalaf belief in the power of optimism , with lots vibrancy and positive energy .
Such a nice thing to read and watch, I have a feeling Vincent Ricord decided to focus on a carefree times when creating Topaz . I believe the perfumer was quite careful when choosing every single raw material , so the fragrance can tell a different and more unique delicious yet carefree story.
I own 2 Kajal Perfumes already, Lamar and Almaz and I can say the happy burst of juicy tropical fruits and cheerfulness is so common for the brand. I actually called my local Kajal official distributor yesterday to ask about Topaz , and they told me I’ll be able to smell in a week since it’s not yet in stock , can’t wait to try it.
    Thank you, and fingers crossed

Splendid approach, I like such inside information I can’t find anywhere else, thank you Cafleurebon for reaching out to Moe Khalaf for such details.
Kajal are crushing it , one hit after another Kajal IV in 2023 won a prestigious award, ÄICAN was received well , everyone online and on Cafleurebon were stunned by Lamar Noir , Kolada and Ruby , and now i’m captivated by Topaz , and I’ll try to express my opinion on the topic.
I find impressive how Vincent Ricord, with Moe Khalaf help I’m sure was were able to merge elegance and delicious memories , to meet Redolessence Olya Bar high expectations , and in general showing his work ethics and appreciation for artistry too.
Even though my favorite Kajal Dahab and Topaz share the fruity part the two are also different, the playful and flamboyant Dahab and the more enigmatic Topaz . No matter the scent profiles the two share the sense of exclusivity , with Topaz leaning on sizzling explosions on candied fruits, rose and orange blossom . Kajal DNA distiled? I’m all for it.
Thanks for the introduction , the two reviews of course and the giveaway

Boy oh boy, because of Redolessence advice to subscribe and participate in a giveaway last year I already ordered 20+ full size bottles thanks to Cafleurebon reviews and recommendations , two of which are made by Kajal ÄICAN and Lamar Noir , I also own DAHAB.
Since I love fruity fragrances and cedar I like how Redolessence indirectly revealed both distant similarities and differences between Topaz and some of the previous releases , and Olya Bar words of grounding cedar whispers .
I really like how Topaz is its own unique entity though, and I think the fragrance Vincent Ricord created is for those who want to elevate their fruity-woody game .With Topaz he showed respect to Kajal fans , the niche market and Moe Khalaf , based on the introduction such feelings are mutual.

I’m new to the frag game and follow a handful of reviewers, with Steve at the top of my list (looking forward to pick up his new frag release for my wife!). I’ve purchased two Kajal fragrances on his recommendation in the last few months – Masa and Aican. I find them both to be incredibly versatile in both settings and climates – fruity and smooth, ever evolving and welcoming. This may be the Kajal DNA of which Olya speaks. What intrigues me about the comments from our three contributors and indeed what attracts me to the brand is the concept of trust/loyalty to which each alludes. Steven alludes to this concept when he says he gives visibility to the bead because he can stand behind the brands quality, ethos and materials. Olya likewise makes her loyalty clear as she is there for every drop from the treasure trove and is eager for each new release. And Moe is the most clear, bottling and presented that loyalty to us as Topaz. Can’t wait to try and this and continue my Kajal journey. FancyPants111, Miami

  • Candied Lemon and Rum… sounds very interesting. Kajal makes some very good fragrances. Sound like cool fall, winter and early spring scent. Definitely would like to try.

  • Well structured fragrance episode , I like the more joyous overall experience I just had. I learned about Moe Khalaf personal and professional admirations for Vincent Ricord , Kajal Topaz distinct and complex scent starting with orange blossom , candied citruses and going with enticing aromas like cassis and ambroxan .
My personal final flourish is the harmony Vincent Ricord was able to achieve between between tasty , decadent and chill elements.
[ Hold on for the base. It’s a blend of salty ambergris, plush ambroxan that wraps you in a big scent cloud, and a grounding cedarwood whisper. Yet, it’s all so perfectly balanced, never tipping into overwhelming.. ]

I like that the fragrance offers flexibility in terms of wear and I love a sweet fruity fragrance as well, not to mention it has quality ingredients.

  • Wow! The note break down sounds phenomenal. Orange blossom and candied lemon & cashmere wood. And the bottle is stunningly beautiful. Being someone who is new to the perfume world and has a very limited number of perfumes it’s always nice to have a fragrance that is versatile to multiple seasons. Steven has such a beautiful way of describing every fragrance he tries. He’s alway introducing me to brands I’ve never heard of before.

  • I always enjoy Steven’s reviews, and this was no different. I would emit trying this with the candied lemon and the versatility. I loved Steven’s little snap at one point, I think where he recognized the lemon instead of mango. I would love to try something from Kajal, ands this is probably the perfect gateway scent. Of course I follow cafleurebonofficial, and now it’s must go look up my handle (zzibbyz).
    I’m in seattle.

  • I absolutely love Kajal fragrances and I’m actually waiting on Joorie to be shipped out to me at the moment so please make this one my next shipment
I’ve never won any fragrances so I’m seriously hoping this is my time to win

  • The CaFleureBon review of KAJAL Topaz is as radiant as the fragrance itself, capturing Vincent Ricord’s luminous creation in words that shimmer with candied citrus, lush rose, and ambered warmth. Olya Bar’s vivid prose and Moe Khalaf’s heartfelt introduction reveal Topaz not only as a scent, but as a bottled tribute to friendship, loyalty, and light. Balanced between playful nostalgia and elegant depth, this article makes Topaz feel like a jewel you simply must experience.

  • Kajal Topaz is revitalizing mixture of comforting gourmand and cozy touches , such a delicious and easy to wear composition. Vincent Ricord cooked a great one , no doubt about that . Of course Moe Khalaf box of surprises is always full, almost bottomless , what a gorgeous presentation the fragrance has.
Moe Khalaf emotional core is similar to mine, always showing love to those who who helped him in his path.
Olya and Steven take on the fragrance made me think of being on a tropical island and making the iconic Lemon Rum Cake by my teacher and mentor Pierre Hermé , nothing like you’ve ever tasted, just like Topaz is like nothing like we’ve ever smelled . I imagined eating the cake on the beach with freshly squeezed lime juice and enjoying time.
Dahab and Lamar are my two favorites from Kajal , both are in my possession.
Appreciate the introduction, the two reviews and the giveaway campaign

Moe Khalaf colorful personality only helps him move forward , I love the way he methodically plans every single detail of the future Kajal releases , including the time spent on Topaz with Vincent Ricord.
From Instagram and now verified by Olya and Steven i’m aware that Topaz is considered by many to be one of the best releases lately. Smelling both good and unique is a must , especially when there’s good music , gentle wind , tropical vibrancy and zesty cocktails.
The scent profile includes orange blossom, candid fruits , cassis and rum and rose undertones , all so pleasing , not to mention how enthusiastic Olya and Steven is in their reviews .
What actually moved me today is not just Topaz delicious and jolly smell, but the whole experience , the color scheme design of the bottle and cap surprised me in a good way.

Great review as always from Steven and Olya!
I appreciated the enthusiasm and the honesty of Steven’s description of Topaz. His thorough reviews of fragrances are always fantastic.
I am quite curious to try the juicy personality of Topaz as Steven mentioned in his review but also the luminosity that has from Ambroxan. Sounds quite playful with the notes of candied lemon, boozy rum and zesty lime.
Also what really sparks my interest in Olya’s review is the way she describes the blooming rich heart of Topaz, an intoxicating combo of lush rose and jammy cassis! the whole composition sound perfectly balanced with the notes of sugary lemons which are soaked in rum, followed by a divine blooming heart and a salty ambergris base.
The warmth and vibrancy of the bottle as well the description of Topaz deliver clearly the emotions of Moe Khalaf of a very special creation and the meaning of a true friendship with Vincent Richord.
I would love the chance to experience this fragrance myself.

  • Hello, New subscriber from Los Angeles here. This video was my introduction to the Kajal brand. Steven’s tastes are usually on par with mine, so naturally I would love to try out a new product that he is so enthusiastic about.

  • i loved how this fragrance embodies a friendship that began between two people. that is special. i love hearing about the brand’s owner- how kind & humble he is, also super hard working. i absolutely love tropical fragrances, so, this one is super exciting for me!! i would absolutely LOVE to have this fragrance for SO many reasons! it sounds absolutely divine! i feel like i could really get into this brand because of the owner- steven really seems to love them & how he supports them is incredible. anyone that steven loves, has to really be great. i absolutely adore sugary scents— this whole fragrance is a dream for me! :). i love ‘the promise of summer..’ vibe, because i am a summer gal & get a little sad when the season changes, so, having this in the collection would be like summer season in a bottle- a little incentive to keep pushing through the fall/winter to get back to those sunny months! from the gorgeous bottle & cap, to the sugary sweet fragrance, to the humble brand owner… this would be an amazing win! i will definitely look into the brand, myself, past the giveaway as well. thank you for the reviews & the opportunity! best of luck to everyone participating! i am in colorado, the united states. :). thank you, again.

I learned about the friendly relationships between Moe Khalaf and Vincent Ricord , and also about one exceptional fragrance like Topaz.
So a few sips , smoothness , candied lemon ,  in addition to the core of ambroxan and and musky feel …. Then throw in that quality rose and I just know this is heavenly. I need Topaz like ASAP lol. Little while back i bought Lamar from the house and it is slowly becoming my most worn fragrance , with Topaz I’m not looking to replace it , but for a different fruity and fun perspective , I feel so tempted now .

  • I decided to share my takeaway about Topaz with a quote first :

“Topaz is really special to me because it grew out of a simple moment of friendship that turned into something lasting and meaningful. Working with Vincent Ricord on this creation was amazing — he has a way of turning emotions into scent, and together we wanted to bottle the warmth, loyalty, and light that true friendship brings.’ –Moe Khalaf, Creative Director and Founder (to MIchelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief exclusively for this review)”

Other than sampling Topaz I need more research on Vincent Ricord , as a fellow artisan , and I believe both he and Moe Khalaf are artisans I’d say crafting always brings joy to the artist no questions asked . Topaz bottle looks just as good as my bottle of Lamar Noir .
Topaz is sweet but comforting fragrance , directly influenced by both candied fruits and Moe Khalaf virtues of humbleness, and also by the inscrutable opulent nature of the Middle East. It’s not just the great smelling aroma with orange blossom , rose and rum , temptations are offered as well.
    Much appreciated. From EU

  • Kajal have been releasing gems last few years , one after another Almaz , Äikan , III , IV , Lamar Noir , Ruby , Kolada and now Topaz seems to be a high karat precision stone too . I’m so glad I’m familiar with Kajal , the two I actually ordered are IV and Lamar.
I have a penchant for high grade gourmand fragrances , from succulent fruity to , boozy , leathery and woody, i like them all.
Olya Bar and Redolessence examination of Topaz fascinated me , the fragrance is so posh , and the new orange flacon with beautiful pattern on the cap is so beautiful.
Even the naming is a bullseye, as the fragrance look and candied lime and cedar smell matches the legend that says that topaz in the lucky gemstone.

There’s a famous Indian poem about the yellow topaz that matches greatly the overall vibe of the entire article

I have a feeling during the process of creating Topaz Moe Khalaf had multiple of flavorful brainstorming moments , from the the bottle design with Leonardo Ranucci i presume once again , and maybe a few rum drinks with Vincent Ricord.
My takeaway about Topaz is the overall sense of refinery, love and affection. It appeals to me that and maybe Vincent Ricord infused the fragrance with his and Moe Khalaf respect for the Middle Eastern and Asian cultures and traditions, and love for exquisite candied desserts.
In light of candied fruits , rum and effervescent review , and the warm introduction I have no doubts Topaz is stunning.
    Many thanks , EU

  • From Steven review, learning this is a fruity tropical fragrance intrigued me. The notes of candied orange blossom and lime with floral notes. Olya describing this as a powerful scent bubble without being over the top and Moes introduction on how this embodies the warmth and light of friendship makes this fragrance very appealing. I was anticipating a resinous frag but the descriptions really changed my mind on this one. NY, USA

  • I really enjoyed Steven’s take on the candied lemon note and how he mentioned getting a mango vibe initially—that sounds incredible. Olya’s description of the rum-soaked orange blossom with lime was so vivid, and I love that she emphasized how well-balanced it is despite all those rich notes.
What touched me most was Moe’s introduction about creating this with Vincent Ricord to capture the warmth of friendship. That backstory makes Topaz feel really special and meaningful beyond just being another release.
The whole profile sounds like exactly what I need—bright and tropical but grounded enough to wear through fall and winter. Would love to try this!

  • The review of this fragrance makes me want to try it really badly. I don’t have any Kajal fragrances, but the notes of this new release sound amazing. Sugary and fruity just up my alley

  • Kajal is a luxury fragrance brand that I personally love.
Lamar noir is one of my last purchases and I’m impressed from its complexity, opulence and persistence.
I read Olya’s review of Topaz, and from that description I imagined something that can be similar to devotion by dolce&Gabbana, perfume that I personally love, but more complex. Then I watched Steven’s review, and the note of mango that he smells makes me want to try it even more. I’m also curious about the extreme versatility claimed by Steven, because I usually wear fresh fragrances like this only in the hot summer days. I hope to have this fantastic opportunity.
    cheers from Italy!

  • Such a luminous , full of positive energy , mystery and positive transformations combination of introduction, written essay and YouTube review. The whole thing i find captivating for its vivid imagery and mouthwatering descriptions of different kinds.
In your own Cafleurebon own way you intertwined the Kajal Topaz delicious journey with modesty, craftsmanship and the connections between contributors, notes , topaz stones and Moe Khalaf and Vincent Ricord. All convinced me that the warm gourmand facets in Topaz , and the opulent playful but decadent aspects are fused together in a truly immersive velvety experience.
I also like to say Moe Khalaf character is full of traits like desire for renewal , wisdom , respect and growth.

Sinse I love rum , candied citruses , cassis and Kajal Perfumes I’m glad I stumbled across your great “Vincent Ricord 2025 plus sparkling gem giveaway” theme , and the new Topaz fragrance.
It’s striking that Kajal fragrances are sought for on all over the world, from Europe, Middle East, UK and America to major exhibitions like Esxence , and it’s not just the juice but the presentation of Topaz is also spectacular.
Other than the rum , candied citruses and cassis connection what i enjoyed the most in the theme is the typical for Kajal high quality raw materials , the balanced gourmand , creamy and comforting information, and the amazing performance. With Michelyn Camen contribution I believe Moe Khalaf I found not just a reliable perfumer but a great friend in Vincent Ricord, and thanks to Olya Bar and Redolessence I found a posh all year round scent.

Thanks to Olya Bar and Redolessence and their work , and Michelyn Camen questions for him , i believe that if If meat Moe in person I’d feel enclosed with never ending ambition and passion, but also with modesty and respect simultaneously.
Everything in Topaz is on its own place, the explosion of candied fruits and orange blossom , the sour cassis , cedar and the smoothness . Surely opening the box and seeing such beautiful patterns on is experience like no other.
I’m ready for exquisite tropical trip, I’m ready for Topaz

Cafleurebon appreciation for Kajal fragrances and Moe Khalaf talent is apparent from his article , and that doesn’t come as a surprise. Exactly like my gem Almaz, Topaz is another precious stone rooted in Arabic traditions ,alchemy of attraction and perfumery, but taking on a modern twist and appearing to be delicious . People like Moe Khalaf are so rare nowadays, a friend i wish I had .
I love the idea of rose , cassis, orange blossom and cedarwood and the sensory parallel to the ‘ sugary lemon accord that sparkles like a childhood candy, tugging at nostalgic heartstrings’ , Topaz truly sounds delightful . Thank you -from the EU

  • Howdy everyone
As we step into Q4 of a the year full of international tensions and I very much enjoy the way Cafleurebon trio of Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief, Redolessence and Olya Bar invites us to more cozy and brighter atmosphere experience with Kajal Topaz .
Sweet, tad boozy , floral and delicious memories in a bottle, versatile and cozy combination you don’t see everyday, considering the soft and warm characteristics i tend to believe , with Cafleurebon trio’s help that smelling Kaja Topaz no doubt transcends the ordinary carefree experiences.
Vincent Ricord was able to put sweet , fruity and comforting traits in one unique basket , while having full support by Moe Khalaf , i’m intrigued .

Topaz gems , rum, sweet lime , ambroxan,  genuine  friendship and the very essence of khajal? I tend to believe I’m a fast learner still coming from someone who’s used to mostly designer fragrances and more simplistic reviews i still try to adjust to niche and indie perfumery, and niche style of reviews on Cafleurebon.
Redolessence and Olya Bar were able to trick my imagination into thinking and luxury candied desserts and cocktails , where the sweetness and boldness are perfectly dosed and compounded to alluring moments.

“There is also a little treat hidden within the composition, a sugary lemon accord that sparkles like a childhood candy, tugging at nostalgic heartstrings.”
By all means I approve Olya’s words  , eye-opening introduction by Michelyn Camen , Editor-in-Chief , two zealous reviews , Top is one spectacular fragrance.

  • I’ve been seeing this fragerances everywhere on the net the last few months. Although candied orange blossom soaked in rum and calling any note “jammy” typically gets an immediate now from me, I’m becoming more and more curious to sample the perfume. I’m in the US.

  • relax_your_mind says:

The right way to start is with Moe Khalaf respectful nature  , then go the Arabic essence of Kajal , to their marvelous bottles , and then go to the present time with Olya Bar and Redolessence review of Topaz .
Apparently Moe Khalaf was not just a bright mind with interest is perfumes , art and creativity with a decade of experience in beauty giants before creating Kajal. From the very beginning of Kajal up until now Moe Khalaf goals are still the same , triggering past and forging future artistic memories related to deeply cultural references , yet all fragrances feel modern at the same time …. Also he never forgot to be a human with a modest and loyal personality no doubt. Thanks to Michelyn for the introduction.
Other than the Middle Eastern grace I’m also impressed by the fact that Kajal do collaborate with creative designers and master perfumers like Vincent Ricord.
Topaz is an elegant fruity-floral fragrance , where the orange blossom and candied fruits  are easy to detect , on the flip side because of the rum and cassis possesses a tad bolder personality. Special fragrance i’d cherish if I win.
My previous experience with Kajal Parfums is limited to Lamar, I’m happy to have a bottle.

I’m Kajal fan because of III and Dahab , and now thanks to your blog , Olya Bar and Redolessence I’m enthusiastic about Topaz too. The fragrance is a tropical bouquet done right. I’ve always been favorable to rose , white florals and juicy fruits , although never experienced candied lime as a note , but here It gives the Topaz a beautiful sweet and sour spin , nice work . • Love the idea of adding rum and cassis nuances to a tart candied lemon , Topaz was crafted from Moe Khalaf passionate belief in hard work , friendship, respect and originality. Thanks to Michelyn Camen I’m aware now Topaz is based on collaboration between him and Vincent Ricord using high oil concentration, it’s rich yet cozy , and very much sophisticated fragrance.

“Working with Vincent Ricord on this creation was amazing — he has a way of turning emotions into scent, and together we wanted to bottle the warmth, loyalty, and light that true friendship brings.’ –Moe Khalaf, Creative Director and Founder (to Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief exclusively for this review)”

I can emphasize to Moe Khalaf words, I have the exact same non-bragging friendly attitude towards my work , hobbies and life.
Olya Bar and Redolessence were able to capture my interest with the very unique contrast between the edible , woody , floral and comforting aspects of Topaz , I’m even more interested now.

  • Hello Cafleurebon
Moe Khalaf has always been respectful and modest , his level of respect for Vincent Ricord doesn’t surprise me since he has such qualities all along.
Seeing Redolessence and Olya Bar so involved in a soulful fragrance , that’s a statement on its own ! I can’t think of a better nostalgic fragrance for the sweet fruity lemon candy aspect, Topaz should be outstanding.
Setting the bar higher and higher is what Moe Khalaf always do, he did with Almaz , Lamar , ÄICAN , IV , Lamar Noir and now with Topaz he raised it even more.
Kevin Mathys won Art and Olfaction Awards for Kajal IV a few years ago , Vincent Ricord could very well follow his footsteps and win another award for Kajal Topaz .
I’m based in EU , thanks

  • This sounds lush! Steven said it’s incredibly long lasting and nostalgic with the lemon candy note. I love how Olya describes it as the promise of sunshine. My IG handle is samba.simone and I hope cafleurebon there and facebook. I’m located in the U.S. thank you for the giveaway!

  • I hoped this would be reviewed. I am an unadulterated, loud and proud Kajal fan. My love affair started with Lamar, it was sustained by III, and AICAN took it over the top. Credit to Moe – this brand simply makes the most unique, but easy to wear, easy to fall in love with fragrances. And based on Steven’s review, and him saying similar things, Topaz feels like another one.

And as for Olya’s words – “a vibrant and mood-lifting powerhouse” are words that I feel describe all the Kajals I mentioned above, but I am so so so intrigued to possibly own another that I can add to my killer, versatile line up of Kajals.

I truly feel as if AICAN has become my signature, and based on the reviews, and based on the notes, I feel as though I’ll be able to slide Topaz next to it, not as a fragrance that smells the same, but as one that works as a sibling, or sister fragrance. Another smash hit from Kajal, and honestly, it feels as if they can’t miss these days.

Regardless of whether I win or not – a major tip of the hat to Moe and the team.

As a fragrance lover and Certified Master Bench Jeweler (US terminology, it’s called Master Goldsmith in UK) I’m super excited for Kajal Topaz .
The name speaks to me of course because my appreciation for topaz stones , especially yellow ones . Symbolically since ancient times golden/yellow topaz is believed to be imbued with the Sun’s powerful energy, in jewelry is a symbol of love , peace and friendship.
All beautifully connects to the current article and Kajal Topaz. Pretty sure with Leonardo Ranucci , i believe the designer of latest Kajal releases and Vincent Ricord help , and Moe Khalaf guidance the final product that came out was purposely aligned with the golden/yellow topaz symbolism. Kajal Topaz is indeed sunny , and Moe Khalaf peaceful and friendly .
I really like sweet fruity and floral fragrances with a boozy edge , and Topaz checks all the boxes for me. The fragrance shows the levels of excellence Moe Khalaf is always striving for , and the jewelry related name excites me even more. As usual the bottle is 10/10.

Let’s face it , whether it’s for dates , social nights out , party on a yacht or a business trip to the Middle East every man needs a perfectly fitting tailor made suit , brown loafers and a fragrance like Topaz . Moe Khalaf is such a gentleman, noble, stylish and classy .
I like the beautiful color scheme of the bottle, with references to the Middle Eastern culture , delicious yet non-sticky grown-up profile with the candied lemon , rose and woods all sprinkled with ambroxan. Topaz sense of refinery is tickling my fancy even more.

Out of all the information I’m interested in the positive mindset of Moe Khalaf, the way Vincent Ricord turned emotions into scent, the beautiful bottle and cap and most importantly Topaz smell. To me quality niche perfumery is a must, but I like to know the background of the brand , perfumers and particular fragrances, that’s where Michelyn Camen, the Editor-in-Chief grabbed me with the links to the older themes .
They say candied  limes and lemons are delicious , I’d take delight in testing that theory with buying some tomorrow , dipped into rum and enjoying the taste   I love orange blossom and cassis as well.

I appreciate the variance in price as he speaks to fragrances that are affordable and appeal to the masses as well as those who are blessed enough to purchase luxe. Can’t wait to get my nose on this one because, well, candied lemon!

  • I love top quality fruits,  rum and candies , eating such treats too and from Kajal Perfumes Topaz I’m anticipating spectacular fragrance, something I’ve never encountered before.
Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief introduction revealed a lot , from Moe Khalaf sharing details how Topaz grew out of a simple moment of friendship with Vincent Ricord.
Vincent Ricord made Topaz so addictive , like a bridge between Middle Eastern atmosphere, topaz stones and perfumery , not an easy task I believe. He added a bit of tranquil demeanor to Topaz profile as well.

Redolessence video and Olya Bar written review highlighted Topaz originality , and how realistic it is.

  • All fragrances can tell a story, some are passionate, some are sad and other do have a happy ending like the one with Vincent Ricord and Moe Khalaf.
I have my own Kajal story every single aspect of which means a great deal to me !
There is one particular Kajal fragrance that will always have a special place in my heart, because to me it tell the best story possible . Reading about how Lamar Ruby came to be was like déja vu all over again for me because i met my loving husband on Boyz II Men concert , the famous r’n’b and soul group while wearing Jihan . He … back then a total stranger complimented me with “You smell intoxicating” and the rest is history
I have a keen interest in Kajal Topaz because of Moe Khalaf cosmopolitan and respectful personality , and the delicious and sexy profile leading up to good memories . I like the seductive sweet floral touches on top of a bowl of candied lemon pieces. I think there’s a synergy between Moe Khalaf and delicious perfumes

I love how Moe Khalaf said the perfumer wanted to capture the emotional aspect of loyalty and true friendship. I like Steven’s take on the juicy aspect that reminded him of ripe mangos. I found it interesting that Olya said it made her nostalgic for her childhood by reminding her of lemon candy. I’m not sure if I would like it because of the rum note. I usually don’t like like boozy notes, they can sit strangely on my skin. However I’m curious about it enough that I would definitely love to smell it.

I believe it’s easy to say Moe Khalaf is working his dream job , which is so rare. I firmly believe if you want to be successful in this world and at the same time be happy , you have to follow your passion first, not a paycheck.
No doubt both Moe Khalaf and Vincent Ricord profoundly enjoyed designing Lamar Topaz , and are delighted of the outcome.

Through Topaz Vincent Ricord and Moe Khalaf expressed the shared good memories ,  and as a result there’s some nice enhancing the mood characteristics .
I liked the way both Redolessence and Olya Bar underlined there’s a balance between the different ingredients in Topaz, maybe it’s more of a professional and chill fragrance, maybe it’s more hedonistic and passionate, but the balance if definitely there. The fragrance relies on sweet and tempting candied lemons , orange blossom and ambroxan with the addition of, according to Olya Bar cassis and rose , and according to Redolessence mango.

I enjoyed how Steven was surprised by Topaz’s fruity, almost overripe DNA, when he was expecting something completely different. With a name like Topaz, I would guess he was expecting something deep and ambery.
What I love about Olya’s review is that it illustrates what the fragrance actually smells like in vivid detail. It can be very hard to convey scent in words, so I appreciate how she manages to express something olfactory in a very literary way that makes me eager to experience the fragrance for myself. She captures how complex, decadent and enveloping it is.
Moe’s introduction is both the first and last word on what inspired Topaz, and I marvel at how he and Vincent Ricord — one of my favorite perfumers — captured the essence of friendship in a bottle. Just as Steven did in his video, Olya did in her review and Moe did in his intro, Topaz is all about the warm embrace of friendship, and I truly hope to experience that inspiration in scent.

Being a lover of of good fruity-floral boozy fragrances I’d say Topaz is a love for me. It’s remarkable that Moe Khalaf is once again thinking outside of the box , and with Topaz he found the balance between wearability , velvety warmth and dripping with decadence candied lemons . Moe Khalaf work speaks for itself, absolutely breathtaking design , exquisite fragrances made by talented perfumers like Vincent Ricord , all kind of expected because with Moe everything needs to be perfect , he’s accepting nothing nearly right or good enough . The shape of Topaz bottle is different than the bottle of Homme II , my personal favorite but just as pretty , if not prettier.
Judging by the detailed reviews and the introduction , mystical symbolism , yellow topaz gems , and how ecstatic you are, all makes me feel free will sophisticated fragrance with fruity-floral carefree appeal is already on the market.
    Thank you

  • Never tried anything by Kajal, but I do love their bottles and the colours combinations they come in. I often wonder if the colour matches the perfume inside. Thanks!

  • Beautifully said by Moe Khalaf: “Topaz is really special to me because it grew out of a simple moment of friendship that turned into something lasting and meaningful.” and Olya “It’s a vibrant and mood-lifting powerhouse that I’ll be drenching myself in for months, a warm shield against the chilly days ahead, whispering promises of summer’s return.”
I like Steven’s description of Topaz as a very smooth, sweet, fruity fragrance due to candied lemon, bright & luminous due to ambroxan.

One particular phrase caught my attention from Olya Bar description “There is also a little treat hidden within the composition, a sugary lemon accord that sparkles like a childhood candy, tugging at nostalgic heartstrings”
Nostalgic heartstrings are my favorite things lately and I’ve always been into candied citruses ever since I was a kid.
The introduction really intriguing as well as since have become more attracted to genuine people lately, and for Middle Eastern culture and style of fragrances as I’ve progressed in my fragrance journey.
You all absolutely delivered with your comprehensive reviews and introduction,  painting a really excellent picture of this offering. I’m found of candied citruses and rose  , ambroxan  and rum and Topaz thrills me very much.
Kajal is a brand i recently discovered and up buying Ruby , so I hope to get Topaz as well in my collection. Appreciate the chance EU

It feels like there’s a buzz surrounding Topaz on social media , I could not be more excited about a new release. The fragrance is not just delicious but also thrilling and vibrant , the bottle is stunning , and from the opening I can say Moe Khalaf other than a successful businessman is also a passionate and respectful person too .

I like the way Michelyn Camen,  Olya Bar and Redolessence shared the way they perceive Kajal Perfumes and Topaz .
The Editor-in-Chief focusing on the stories behind the fragrance , who the perfumer is – Vincent Ricord and the good personal and professional relationships between him and Moe Khalaf, Olya Bar on the balance and how it remained her of a childhood candy. Redolessence instead said he’s smelling mango as well.
Kajal is a great house, Äikan I own and i think Topaz scent profile is perfect for a wedding, a date or neutral venue. On regular basis I organize weddings with roses , rum,  orange blossom and cassis involved in a different ways,  and I like the way Olya Bar and Redolessence  underlined the delicious, romantic, the decadent sides of Topaz  , talking about a comforting niche perfume.
Lovely wedding day fragrance image currently stuck in my mind . I’d love to discover the Topaz fragrance that symbolizes the emotional spectrum between the wedding ritual and childhood candy .

    EU , Thanks in advance
The first rains have arrived , some leaves are starting to yellow, and suddenly we feel like binge-watching all those 90s TV series like Friends which always seem to live in autumn, with a cozy blanket and bowl of candied fruits and a cup of rum in hand, even if it’s not that cold outside. The truth? Autumn isn’t fully here yet, but some fragrances already capture that cozy, slightly nostalgic vibe.
Kajal Topaz perfectly captures the transition from the last summer days to the first hints of autumn. Imagined myself in the countryside in an old fruit farm house at sunset, with the sweet smell of sun-warmed candied ripe fruits and a fresh floral touch. Watching Friends while the world outside turns golden with fallen leaves. Main notes of Topaz are blend of genuine friendship like the one between Moe Khalaf and Vincent Ricord, , on a delicate fruity-floral and woody base.

I feel like Kajal Perfumes Topaz is so sophisticated, perfectly suited fragrance for vacation moments but because of the rum and sweet candied lemons tempting trail also for clubbing, maybe even dates. I have a feeling Moe Khalaf and Vincent Ricord had a plan to make the best comforting fragrance with tribute to the simple moments of friendship , and result could be seen through every aspect of the Redolessence and Olya Bar reviews .
Not sorely because I feel attracted to the candied lemon and rum , I actually enjoy the whole thing, the musk , cassis and the friendly wink.
I had a great time, thank you

  • The whole Kajal Perfumes Topaz presentation i absolutely love , I know it’s mostly about the juice and not the bottle , but the two images of the bottle and the encrusted with stones cap immediately caught my eye.
This deep fruity-floral musky essence with cedar and no overly sugary gimmicks , well brushed with loyalty and finesse by Vincent Ricord sounds wonderful . Comforting and tranquil , half Arabic and half French maybe ? Absolutely I’d love to try this , and get a chance to check out the aroma and the bottle in person.
This IS KAJAL’S DNA distilled. It’s a vibrant and mood-lifting powerhouse that I’ll be drenching myself in for months, a warm shield against the chilly days ahead, whispering promises of summer’s return..… So nice

True friends are never far apart , perfumer like Vincent Ricord and Moe Khalaf , Cretive Director and founder of Kajal.
In the vibrant landscape of 2025 fragrance launches, Topaz by Kajal emerges as a compelling olfactory interpretation of friendship —pleasing, indulgent, and unashamedly emotional. True to the symbolism of its namesake gemstone, this unisex fragrance i believe evokes passion and warmth through a decadent fruity-floral structure that leans both playful and sophisticated.
From the very first spray, Topaz announces its character with a burst of jubilant fruits and florals . A cocktail of lemons , lime opens the composition, the rose and cassis are softened by the woody warmth of cedar and well dosed sweetness.
This is not a shy introduction— Topaz is vivid, , and deeply textured.
I’ll gladly add Topaz to my collection since Lamar and Masa are already there. Thank you kindly EU

  • This does sound decadent and like a fall appropriate boozy fragrance. The rum and candied lemon and cassis provide a yummy gormand feel with the florals and salty woody base grounding it. I appreciated Moe’s reference to his friendship and I found Steve’s perception of mango in the fragrance interesting. MD, USA

I love the slightly contrasting reviews by Olya Bar and Redolessence , and the way Kajal Topaz is based around authenticity, friendship and modesty. I really like the intro since I often tell myself “you can do this better than anybody while be real , friendly and modest” at the outset of a meeting with a client.
Olya Bar and Redolessence certainly seems to have a huge love for the fruity , floral and just a bit tipsy nature of Topaz . It’s interesting that Redolessence smells mango in the opening. Seems like Topaz would be an attractive scent for business meetings and going out.
Vincent Ricord engineered the fragrance to be addictive and soothing, designer is also quite talented , Topaz not only smells great but presentation is very unique with prominent topaz stones color bottle , as well as cap that looks like a jewel itself.
I would love to win this amazing new release. I am from the EU

  • With such exquisite reads , videos and reaching out to brand owners and perfumers I’d like so say signing up to Cafleurebon for many years ahead is a must . You guys are all built differently , no mistake Olya Bar own words proves that “There is also a little treat hidden within the composition, a sugary lemon accord that sparkles like a childhood candy, tugging at nostalgic heartstrings”
Emotions into scent, true friendship , very warm and alluring descriptions by Olya Bar and Redolessence, premium sweet fruity and floral fragrance with cassis ,there’s even boozy wink – Kajal Topaz sounds spectacular. Hello from UK
All nuances of Moe Khalaf and Vincent Ricord shared journey with Lamar Topaz do have a familiar tune , both loyal and friendly , always keeping their sights forward and never looking back. I’m impressed how Michelyn Camen works hard every time knowing , learning and sharing unique viewpoints .
The insightful introduction of the way Topaz came to be had another angle added , I enjoyed learning about all of this.
Topaz is an olfactory journey that captures the essence of the luxury vacations I’m planning , with fresh organic fruits, some candied ones , sprinkled with ambroxan and some bottles of rum .
Other than its mesmerizing scent profile I’d love to win Topaz based on all of yours sterling work and my previous experience with Kajal, delighted owner of Lamar + Almaz . I’m envisioning excellence once again
    Thank you so much

  • Considering how much love Cafleurebon has for the brand of Kajal and Moe Khalaf , him being the co-author it’s safe to say I’m thrilled about Topaz .
Vincent Ricord wrapping the fragrance in a succulent and decadent yellow topaz candied fruits coat ,  concurrently with a beautiful red rose dress underneath , and yellow rum shoes , I’m loving the whole outfit of the fragrance .
Beyond questions other than my love for Ruby , I’m also all for the fruity, floral and boozy effervescent qualities of Topaz,  all mashed into a indulgent and friendly tonality by Vincent Ricord.
Olya Bar and Redolessence highlighted the nostalgic and mellow grace as foundations of Topaz path , and I’m on board with that.
I’m delighted by the whole article and the chance , in the UK

  • Bottled “warmth, loyalty, and light” sounds perfect for when the cool weather starts to arrive in this part of the world. The way Topaz juxtaposes sunny orange blossom and a lime twist over heavy, plush notes in the heart and base sounds nice, but I’m most intrigued by the lemon accord, and haven’t had a chance to try KAJAL’S DNA that Olya mentioned. Steven’s review got to show off that striking KAJAL bottle and highlighted the “juicy”, “overripe tropical fruit”, fruity DNA that defines Topaz. Also, surprising that the rum isn’t mixed with spice notes here. Sounds great and like a really fun wear.

I’m in the USA. I follow @caflerebonofficial as @mmerline. Thanks for the giveaway!

Michelyn Camen introduction to KAJAL Topaz was truly captivating, offering a fascinating glimpse into Moe Khalaf and Vincent Ricord creative process behind this luscious and luxurious fragrance. I particularly appreciated both Olya Bar and Redolessence reviews, and of how the perfume transitions Topaz precious stone brightness into memories of candied lemon sweetness , cassis and rose , likening it to the feeling of having a warm and honest conversation with a friend.
The balance between luscious and comforting elements in is masterful. I feel that Topaz is a scent designed to leave a lasting impression , definitely worked correspondingly for Olya Bar and Redolessence

  • It’s interesting how no matter who the perfumer is , Kajal never disappoint its fans.Kevin Mathys won the Art and Olfaction Awards for Kajal IV giveaway , ÄICAN and Ruby are fantastic made by EPS Fragrances team, Patrick Müller did wonders with Lamar Noir and late September, of 2025 everyone is talking about Topaz by Vincent Ricord.
The sweet fruity edges of Topaz soften into a velvety woody roundness as the fragrance deepens, losing some of its playful and youthful sugary rush, morphing into something richer and more decadent. And yeah, with a bottle of rum nearby – to wash down this luscious, indulgent dream , and share with everyone, especially with good friends who appreciate each other like Moe Khalaf and Vincent Ricord.
So nice , modern multidimensional fragrance, sweet, fruity , boozy and flirtatious. Topaz is a sophisticated fragrance with high compliment factor, can’t wait to try it
Dahab , Almaz, Lamar and Masa are my favorites from Kajal , all are in my possession , since compliments are so important to me i’d like to say out of all Dahab gets me the most positive reactions .

  • Since Redolessence and Olya Bar are Kajal fans just by reading the article I visualized the exact same moment when they smelled Topaz for the first time. Through the overall enthusiasm in the article I can almost see the delightfulness in their eyes when if finally came out so great.
To be fair there are also other niche brands with luxurious boxes and bottles, the difference is Kajal actually delivers not just beautiful bottles but upscale refined fragrances like no other .
Personally I’ve never smelled fruity and floral fragrance fragrance with rum , fruits and rose accords , kudos for the idea born out of camaraderie between the perfumer Vincent Ricord and Moe Khalaf.

I’m just as keen on the cassis and the musk too all leading to a deep elegant richness.I’m down with the idea of such smooth and alluring fragrances , Topaz is a true symbol of strengthened bonds

Vincent Ricord made fragrance is letting its fun side shine bright with gourmand , woody and floral facets , thickens up the feel of loyalty , with rum adding a boozy undertones to this exelance. As Olya said, Topaz is like a childhood candy , Love that! EU

  • What a beautiful, intimate introduction by Moe Khalaf!
Olya sparked my interest with “it’s all so perfectly balanced, never tipping into overwhelming. There is also a little treat hidden within the composition, a sugary lemon accord that sparkles like a childhood candy, tugging at nostalgic heartstrings.” I love candied lemon and the smell of it!
Thank you Steven for a great review, I’m glad it’s not too spicy like most boozy fragrances, but more juicy, citrusy, sugary, playful scent.

  • Summed up by the introduction and the two reviews I’d say Kajal Topaz is an unapologetically uplifting fragrance that captures the sweetness, depth, and sensuality of modern loyalty and friendship.
The heart reveals the fragrance’s most distinctive personality. Here, Topaz turns warm and sensual : rich swirls of candied lemon ,rose , cassis nuances create a creamy, dreamy center. It is both comforting and luxurious, evoking memories of shared sweetness—perhaps a romantic gesture or an afternoon with friends or loved ones.
As it settles, Topaz deepens into a warm and sensual base of cedarwood and musk. This final act grounds the fragrance and extends its wear with a , soft-woody warmth that clings to the skin for hours.
Two of the oldest Kajal releases are in my possession Dahab and Kajal Homme, and I’d love to experience the newest one Topaz. Kudos to all ,I’m located in EU

  • AromaAdventurer says:

What I find compelling about KAJAL Topaz from the reviews is the way it seems to balance exuberance with refinement. Moe Khalaf’s introduction frames the fragrance as an expression of friendship and light, which adds an emotional resonance to the composition. Olya’s description of the opening — candied orange blossom laced with rum and lifted by lime — makes it sound both indulgent and effervescent, almost like a celebration in liquid form. I also like the idea of the hidden candied lemon accord, which adds a nostalgic sparkle and prevents the richness from becoming too heavy. Steven’s video review reinforces this impression of vibrancy and wearability, suggesting it is joyful yet versatile. Taken together, the perspectives make me curious to experience how the bright fruits and florals merge into the warmer base of ambergris, ambroxan, and woods — a transition that seems to embody the warmth and loyalty Moe speaks about.

  • Kajal Perfumes fragrances I discovered long time ago 7-8 years maybe, and based on what I learned about Topaz today I’m intrigued once again.
Michelyn Camen introduction with Moe Khalaf  really paints a picture of his intricate character . What really grabbed me in his and Vincent Ricord Topaz journey , is the way it all started with the splendid aroma design , typically for the brand with the very essence of khajal and the overall sense of smoothness and friendship brought by the perfumer and Kajal founder great relationships.
Vincent Ricord was able to achieve the perfect balance between sweet and playful on one part, and comfort and romance on another. Depending on Olya Bar and Redolessence experience with the fragrance I’m convinced Topaz is a very special fragrance with lots of depth, and carefree friendly character.

I appreciate how Olya Bar and Redolessence showcased the way Vincent Ricord brought depth and intensity to this fragrance , making it a graceful and a tad boozy counterpart to all the simplistic fruity-floral on the market.
The blend of candied lemon , rose , musk and rum sounds absolutely captivating—especially the interplay of sweet, floral and boozy. I’d love to experience this deeper emotional interpretation myself. European Union

  • Fantastic Cafleurebon read and video delivered by Michelyn Camen, Olya Bar and Redolessence. Once again all the information made me wonder, and think for a while

Then, the heart blooms open with lush rose and jammy cassis, rich and intoxicating. Worried it’s too much decadence? Hold on for the base……
    – Olya Bar

Where I should even start with this time ?!? Should I start with Moe Khalaf passion for creative and mysterious fragrances , the way he bonded with Vincent Ricord calling him a true friend, the fruity-floral splash of candied lime, orange blossom and rose ? Or maybe the warm sparkling profile, the emotional connection with the Middle East , or the awesome presentation , all are equally as important for the forming of Ruby identity .
The new fragrance is so special, yes it’s like a sweet dream yet so serene I can feel it. I came to realization I need a Middle Eastern candied lime voyage , and I need Topaz.
Thanks to all of you i know Moe Khalaf is once again showing up the true elegance of niche perfumery , he did it with Lamar Noir last year and now once again with Topaz.

I’m very much picky in terms of fruity and floral fragrances , and especially those that combine the two genres.
Olya Bar and Redolessence assessment of Kajal Topaz brought me back to my childhood , and our family trips to the country side , i had lots of hot sweet-yet-sour lemon pies and candies back then LOL
I became instantly attracted to the comforting smell of Topaz together with carefully selected by Moe Khalaf and Vincent Ricord other deeper and delectable shades like the cedarwood , cassis and the dance between delicious and serene.
When I buy new niche fragrances the quality should be outstanding, and with certain level of comfort. I’m definitely impressed .

It’s vital to me that Topaz even though a delicious fruity fragrance, is different than Lamar. The sour candied citruses , the orange blossom, ambroxan and cassis are setting the bar so high for all uplifting fragrances . The rum is a riveting new addition too
Vincent Ricord did a marvelous work with the fragrance , absolutely breathtaking

  • Loyal friends are real friends, and real friends are so very hard to find ! I can tell based on the provided information by Michelyn Camen, the Editor-in-Chief that with Vincent Ricord, Moe Khalaf found not just a good perfumer but a loyal friend.
Considering how all Kajal fragrances do have such a beautiful bottles and caps I can call Topaz the new jewel in the crown of fruity-floral , leaning gourmand perfumery.
I like the fact that Topaz is not a subtle fragrance—it is bold, confident, and unapologetically recognizable . But beneath its playful exterior lies a thoughtful structure. It plays with texture and memory, tapping into both nostalgia , friendship and sensuality. This is a perfume for those who want their scent to tell a story – one of warmth, passion, and cherished moments with friends and love ones. I’m also curious if I’ll be able to detect the mango Redolessence spoke about.

  • There’s so much buzz surrounding Kajal Topaz , doesn’t matter the demographics or the stylistic preferences every single person lucky enough to smell it already is speaking of its delicious characteristics.
Vincent Ricord is a perfumer I’m not aware of , but if Moe Khalaf trusted him with the process of creating Topaz he’s really good, there’s no way around… not to mention it’s not about who’s real in your face, it’s about who stays real behind your back. Obviously Moe Khalaf is found of Vincent Ricord not just by his skill in perfumery, but being loyal like a friend should be.
Kajal DNA, still fruity and tropical, but leaning on the cedar and cassis and delicious rum cocktails at night , the whole combination is a match made in Heaven. Topaz is so special.
What appeals to me in Olya Bar and Redolessence reviews is how genuinely amazed they are by Kajal as a brand , and in particular Topaz , they enjoyed every single moment reviewing it.
Delicious , delectable , comforting and a bit lustful at the same time, I’d love to win Topaz.

I love painting especially when I need to clear my mind , all Topaz shades are dear to my heart. What the bottle designer was able achieve with Topaz bottle and cap is hard to replicate … unbelievable craftsmanship.
I know niche fragrances and with the fearsome competitiveness on the market i need something to really grab my attention, and Topaz high quality raw materials, mouthwatering gourmand and floral connections melding with the woods and some harmonious elements did the trick for me.
Through Topaz I can book a flight to every country in the world , whiteout actually being there. You can’t beat that . Such trips i take with the help of Dahab
    Cheers EU

My impressions only get better in my second entry, the two senior editors Olya Bar and Redolessence reviews are so sophisticated.
Moe Khalaf and Vincent Ricord team work in noteworthy , I’m impressed by the way they bonded , also representing yellow topaz stones and loyalty through Kajal fragrances .
Topaz grabbed me with high quality ingredients , mouthwatering candied fruits , cedarwood aroma and cassis .
I’m not a kid anymore, but just like Olya Bar Topaz brought me back to my childhood with sugary lemons that sparkle like a childhood candy. Sounds awesome . Thanks EU

Optimal course to start is with the introduction since turning emotions into scent I imagine is very hard, especially when there are two people involved, Moe Khalaf Kajal creative director and Founder, and Vincent Ricord , the perfumer who made Topaz.
Olya Bar and Redolessence love for Kajal, Moe Khalaf , art , design, and spectacular fragrances they intertwined with carefree experiences, versatility and nostalgic heartstrings when reviewing Topaz. Kajal is unique brand I need to explore deeper since I’ve only smelled IV.
Topaz is an exquisite semi-gourmand , where candied fruits , black elder and rose are more prominent , mango according to Redolessence , i can sense some adventurous nature as well. Spectacular fragrance i’d love to win.
    Many thanks EU

Topaz is special fragrance for Moe Khalaf because he made the scent with perfumer Vincent Richord , their union and friendship is echoed in the making of the fragrance .
For Olya Bar , Topaz in more vibrant with candied fruits and orange blossom soaked in rum with presence of rose. Decadent , rich and balanced fragrance.
For Redolessence Topaz is bright and fruity, long lasting and high quality, another Kajal fragrance that deserves the hype based on its quality, performance and raw materials. Redolessence also is able to smell mango in Topaz, especially in the opening. Fantastic

Michelyn Camen made a great decision to contact Moe Khalaf about Topaz , since Kajal Creative Director and Founder words in the intro are truly evocative, capturing the essence of memories and emotions that many of us can relate to. I’m talking about those simple yet profound moments of passion , friendship, loyalty, and respect . For those who can appreciate them they linger around longer than any fragrance.

Olya Bar framing of Topaz as “Yet, it’s all so perfectly balanced, never tipping into overwhelming.” captured my imagination . Her words i imagine is rooted in specific cozy memories she had with the help of the fragrance. I find interesting that Redolessence is not smelling the rose like Olya Bar, but to him there’s definitely mango. All beautifully aligns with the Moe Khalaf current emotional spectrum , and candied fruits, rose and rum scent profile.
Topaz is an unique and artistic perfume I’d be thrilled to win . EU
    Bless you

“KAJAL Topaz hits you with a vibrant splash of candied orange blossom soaked in rum, spiked with a zesty lime twist that’s pure sunshine.” Olya Bar had me closing my eyes to interpret what that could be , and I started salivating … I mean literally.
The looks of the gorgeous bottle, the whole review and YouTube video , and especially the way Moe enjoying the fragrance , working with Vincent Ricord and their friendship
sold it for me. The mixture of candied fruits , cassis and rum goods with sets it apart. Haven’t been able to smell any of Kajal fragrances and I am anxiously waiting to try this !
Props to Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief , Redolessence, Olya Bar , Kajal and Moe Khalaf

Michelyn Camen introduction provided a short but nice background to Moe Khalaf and the marvelous final result that came out of his work with perfumer Vincent Ricord. The fondness between the two and the whole article , including Redolessence video is like an ode to the strength of a real friendship.
Olya Bar and Redolessence share the same affection for art and craftsmanship in perfumery , one of the reasons the article came out so great. The two captured my heart and interest with words of candied fruits, rum, class and originality. Topaz is invading the senses poetic invitation
Thank you for the draw EU

There’s a famous quote that says “Never expect loyalty from a person that can’t give you honesty” , it’s easy to say Moe Khalaf believes that Vincent Ricord is loyal, honest and actual friend. Topaz is the evidence , being the result of their collaboration.
I’m fascinated by the love affair between the delicious sweet and sour candied lime and orange from one angle, and the more seductive cassis and rum on another.
Since I haven’t been able to smell Kajal fragrances up until now , Moe Khalaf personality , Michelyn Camen, Redolessence , Olya Bar and the both reviews would be my two excuses to order a sample kit and dig right in!
The intricate layering of palatable and comfy , maybe even flirtatious , plus the Middle Eastern subtitle grace do make Topaz sound enchanting and multifaceted.
    Thanks a lot EU

This is definitely a winter standout. Orange blossom definitely comes off honeyed and fruity when use appropriately. Sounds very luminous but the elder rum is a unusual ingredient but boozy scents can be off putting, or even trigger the senses of any struggling or former alcoholic. The bright and resinous scent is great because the smoky, tobacco, and super sweet fragrances can seem played out. A vacation in a bottle and the presentation is ostentatious and appealing. That was a great review as always, from USA.

  • I’ve been a Kajal and Moe Khalaf fan for a very long time, as a Master Barber myself I’d like to say Moe beard is always on point, just learned he’s thoughts on Vincent Ricord. Both are loyal and trustworthy fellows dedicated to exquisite perfumery.
Kajal is a great brand, big fan of Homme I and II, , I know a few other fragrances, but not the the brand’s latest edition . I need to order some samples soon.
Topaz really leaves a a tempting fruity-floral trail behind and is a perfect match for the days I’d like to wear a happy fragrance. Moe Khalaf and Vincent Ricord reimagined by their friendship and turned it into a indulgent perfume ,then named it Topaz.
As usual the whole presentation is top notch .Homme I is staple of mine , I’m on my 5th bottle now , and with Homme II on my 3rd

  • Combination of orange blossom, and candied lemon sounds divine, especially with the base notes to ground it. This sounds like an absolute gem, and I would love to experience it! I live in New York.

  • Just when you think you know Kajal and Moe Khalaf…. Cafleurebon comes along to show how wrong you are !!!
Moe decided that we should try something more comfy , still fruity and sweet but more floral and woody , however, not destroying too much of Kajal DNA .
Topaz is not just a high quality ingredients in the vain of some of the previous Kajal releases , absolutely not ! Moe Khalaf and Vincent Ricord have built unorthodox rich and opulent fragrance , admirable approach. Even Redolessence and Olya Bar was caught off guard by Topaz smell.
The citrusy fruity notes , gentle rose , cassis and oud and cedar combination comes as a reminder of how there are still brands like Kajal Perfumes and perfumers like Moe Khalaf and Vincent Ricord who still posses imagination, but also value wearability , just like they value warmth, loyalty and true friendship.
My favorite Kajal Perfume is the original Lamar

  • Love Steven reviews, he describes Topaz in the opening as a “vibrant splash of candied orange blossom soaked in rum, spiked with a zesty lime twist” — very playful, bright, and slightly boozy.

So you can expect a bright, citrusy floral opening, evolving to sweeter, fruitier nuances, and ending in a warm woody / musky dry-down.

It’s seems that Topaz is versatile enough for many seasons, because it balances citrus, floral, and woody elements. So definitely is a fragrance that we need to try. From USA

I’ve been interested in exploring the whole range of Kajal perfumes since I only know and own the infamous Lamar .  Redolessence and Olya Bar  only  deepened that curiosity.
I can’t imagine how hard it was for  Vincent Ricord despite his experience and fame to create an evocative and artistic boozy , woody and fruity-floral fragrance that’s ’s unique and dopamine-fueled….. AND to turn emotions into scent.
Chemical signals, friendships , subconscious attraction , candied fruits a few cups of rum is a captivating fragrance trip I’m willing to take.
    I value the opportunity. Germany

From the very first moment Kajal Topaz draws you in with a cup of rum , some juicy and some candied fruits , rose and ambroxan . I imagined exquisite and playful feel , almost like the beginning of a love story. But there’s more beneath the surface. As it develops, rich notes of cedarwood and musk unfold even more and offering both comfort and seduction. Topaz lingers with the elegance and the sensual closeness , warm, long lasting, unforgettable fragrance.
Created by perfumer Vincent Ricord, Topaz is close to gourmand fragrance with depth. It’s sweet without being simple, romantic without being naive. It captures the intimacy of a moment with good friends like Vincent Ricord and Moe Khalaf having a meaningful conversation sharing thoughts on the future .

It’s interesting how Moe Khalaf and his approach and character invoked the best of Vincent Ricord as a perfumer and a friend, I’m loving it.
There are nods to , vitality, youth, desire , friendships in Kajal Topaz, yet Vincent Ricord also added emotions into scent and some Middle Eastern traditions i believe , plus current day trendy delicious nuances of candied fruits and rum.
I love Topaz overall smoothness and richness. Thanks to Olya Bar and Redolessence I feel scented now with one beautiful sweet, fruity and floral fragrance. Many thanks for the chance

  • I’m keen on Cafleurebon not sorely because of the multiple sophisticated fragrances and reviews I can find here , that’s the bonus but not the main reason. To me what actually matters to me is the individuality of every single author, not just Olya Bar and Redolessence.
The images the two painted so well were so evocative , I’m impressed. In her review Olya is leaning more on the fruits , rose and cassis, the balance , amber and childhood candy references, and Redolessence on the quality of the raw ingredients , the noticeable impact of the mango he can smell and some paralells with other Kajal fragrances.
Fruity-floral and woody essence, skilfully crafted ingredients and as a whole evocative blend I’m drawn to , as well as by the way Moe Khalaf and Vincent Ricord clicked together.
Topaz bottle and the cap are piece of art. In my collection there are 3 Kajal fragrances Dahab, III and Lamar Noir , love them all
    Cheers from UK

  • Topaz is more than a fragrance for Moe Khalaf; it is a memory captured in scent. Created alongside the celebrated perfumer Vincent Ricord, whose craft he has long admired, Topaz reflects not only artistic vision but also the bond of friendship and collaboration that brought it to life.
To Olya, Topaz shines like a jewel, dazzling and multifaceted. It opens with a playful sparkle of candied lemon and orange blossom, mellowed in a bath of rum and sharpened with a crisp lime twist. Soon, a velvety rose rises at the heart, intertwined with the richness of cassis, yielding a composition that is indulgent yet balanced. It is radiant, mood-brightening, and feels especially at home in the cooler months. Steve experiences Topaz as a fragrance that commands attention for its quality and longevity. From the first juicy burst of citrus and candied fruit, through the silky warmth of rum, to the luminous ambroxan that lingers in the dry down, it retains its vibrancy from beginning to end. He regards it as a scent deserving of recognition — playful, versatile, and crafted with raw materials of the highest caliber. A fragrance born of artistry, friendship, and joy. Greetings from Paris 😉

Thanks for the sparkling review! Kajal Topaz comes across like gemstone light in scent—bright topaz-like citrus, facets of mandarin and bergamot shining through, followed by soft florals and ambered woods that add warmth without dimming the sparkle. I love how it feels both luminous and grounded, like a jewel you can wear. I’d love to try Kajal Topaz!
