Kajal Perfumes Ruby (Ayşe Sirkecioğlu) 2025 + a tribute to love giveaway

Kajal Ruby

Kajal Perfumes Ruby

Kajal Perfumes was born out of Moe Khalaf’s (creative director and co-founder) profound love for luxury fragrances, a passion ignited and refined during more than a decade spent working with beauty giants such as Estée Lauder and Yves Saint Laurent. Moe wanted to create a brand that was a blend of tradition and contemporary luxury, deeply anchored in cultural reverence yet connected to modern trends.

Moe Khalaf of Kajal Perfumes

Moe Khalaf of Kajal Perfumes edited by Nicoleta

The brand’s name itself is richly layered with symbolism, drawing inspiration from kohl (also known as kajal), an ancient cosmetic used to beautify and protect the eyes. But beneath the alluring aesthetics lies an even deeper resonance, echoing from the Arabic root khajal, a word steeped in the virtues of humbleness, modesty, and respect. In a world that often equates luxury with hedonistic excess, where opulence is shouted from the rooftops, Kajal walks a different path. Authenticity is its foundation, and at its heart lies a concept rarely celebrated in today’s culture of loud self-promotion: modesty. The very essence of khajal – this quiet reverence, this subtle Middle Eastern grace – is woven into the brand’s ethos, making its success story not a race to the top, but an unhurried and deliberate ascent. Like the artisan who slowly polishes a precious stone, Kajal’s journey is shaped with intention, each gesture precise, each detail infused with meaning, almost ritualistic, crafting something that truly lingers, not just on the skin but also in the souls of the ones who chose to enter their world.

Kajal ruby at Esxence 2025

Launched on Valentine’s Day 2025, EVERYONE is still talking about Ruby after Esxence. The inspiration? The name gives it away. Many ancient cultures revered rubies, believing an eternal flame burned at their very core – one that would never dim, never surrender to time, making them a timeless symbol of true love. In legends, these fiery gems were said to be the crystallized lifeblood of Mother Earth, formed over millennia into glowing embers of passion, protection, and power. A talisman of love, vitality, and the very pulse of life itself, the ruby has long been a stone of destiny, carried by kings, warriors, and lovers alike.

Visually, Kajal perfumes are instantly recognizable by their packaging, a nod to sacred geometry, craftsmanship, and the timeless beauty of harmonious forms. The eight-point star is a core element of the brand, being incorporated into packaging, various elements of communication, bottle caps, and even the perfume blotters. The Ruby bottle is a jewel in itself – the iconic star being reimagined in its most dazzling form yet, the Rub el Hizb pattern being brought to life by the vision of Leonardo Ranucci, a creative designer whose mastery of fine jewelry craftsmanship has shaped some of Kajal’s most exquisite designs (he was also the artist behind the Almaz and Masa caps).

Spiritually, each perfume carries a narrative that is deeply personal, profoundly human, an organic dialogue between past and present, beautifully embodying the spirit of this dual heritage.  And in comes the new scent –  intended to be a tribute to love in all its forms, romantic, familial, or platonic, released now, in a world often shrouded in shadow. The Greeks had a name for every form of love – and somehow, Ruby manages to embody them all in scent. Like a ruby held in a ray of sun and slowly rotated, it reveals different facets with every shift and turn painting the world around in deep shades of passion, devotion, and the quiet, unbreakable bonds that hold us together.

Eros- Love in Flames: There is a legend that says that rubies were born of fire – and they are so potent that if cast into the water, they could make it boil, igniting the liquid like a red lightning strike. A perfect image for the opening of Ruby, which erupts onto the skin in a sizzling explosion of red fruits, a spark that crackles and fizzes like a bottle of ruby-hued champagne popped open in celebration. And the first sip? A heady rush of cherry candy melting into freshly squeezed pineapple juice – so bright and juicy it makes your mouth water. The cherries, ripe and dripping with  decadence, hold an undercurrent of camphorous sparkle, a zesty effervescence that keeps their sweetness in check together with the sharp, acidic bite of pineapple, tingling on the nostrils. And then – smoothness. The pointy, crystalline edges of Ruby soften into a velvety roundness as the cherry deepens, losing some of its playful and youthful sugary rush, morphing into something richer and more decadent, like a hot sweet-yet-sour-cherry pie being taken out of the oven, a big dollop of ice cream scooped on top of the golden, crunchy crust, melting all the flavors together. And yeah, with a glass of amaretto nearby – to wash down this luscious, indulgent dream.

Philia- Love in Harmony: As Kajal Perfumes Ruby cozies up on the skin, the fire of its opening settles into something softer, warmer, like a sepia memory wrapped in laughter and sweetness. The scent melts into a swirl of whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, and drizzled brown sugar, an olfactive snapshot of a carefree moment, suspended in time. It feels like sitting on a sun-drenched terrace, eyes half-closed indulging in a decadent almost-melted-scoop of ice cream with the people who know you best. There’s a warmth here, but not the fiery kind – this is the warmth of closeness, of familiarity, of love that doesn’t need grand gestures to be felt. Ruby really glows in this moment, creamy, humming on the skin, effortlessly comforting – because some of the best things in life don’t need to shout. They just are.

Agape-Love in Light: As Ruby settles into its final chapter, musks, vanilla, amber, and benzoin melt together, wrapping around you like the softest, weightless yet full of presence cocoon of dim light. It’s the steady glow encapsulated in the belief that love, in all its forms, endures. “Ever pure. Ever yours. Forever more.”

If there’s a gourmand at play, I’m there. I saw all the commotion leading up to the release and it looks to live to the expectation of gourmand lovers and lovers of the brand in general. This may be the first true gourmand that Kajal puts out so it’s a reason to celebrate. Cherries, almonds and milky accords are some of my favorite notes because they feel comforting and cozy. Who doesn’t want to smell like an edible arrangement l? J certainly do and Ruby can help make that dream a reality. I think this one is going to become a sensation once more people find out about it as the gourmand trend shows no signs of slowing down. I’m located in the USA and thanks to the brand for the amazing gift!

  • Captivating introduction and enthusiastic review by Nicoleta Tomsa , job well done .I can’t help but to be impressed how Moe Khalaf was able to achieve so much , and also how he gave the hard task of making Ruby to Ayşe Sirkecioğlu . There is a reason why even at Esxence people were gathering non-stop at Kajal Perfumes booth to try the new gem .

“And in comes the new scent – intended to be a tribute to love in all its forms, romantic, familial, or platonic, released now, in a world often shrouded in shadow”

Beautiful , I find Ruby delightful for the explosive start, cherries, pineapple and red berries on one part , and the ice cream, brown sugar and amaretto on the other.
Other than wanting to win Ruby, I’d also love to visit Kajal headquarters one day it will be so much fun

I love how the things worked out for Moe Khalaf , the knowledgeable and humble guy who founded Kajal. Through a lot of hard work and dedication he was able to expand and develop to such a level , that now fragrance enthusiasts are trembling when there’s a new release.
“A heady rush of cherry candy melting into freshly squeezed pineapple juice – so bright and juicy it makes your mouth water” – Nicoleta Tomsa
Big time YES to upscale niche perfumery, Kajal, daring approaches and aesthetics , and people mindsets like Moe Khalaf and Nicoleta Tomsa. In Ruby I like the fleshy fruits , whipped cream , the boozy nuances and the dance between the European appeal and Middle Eastern mystical essence . Everything in Ruby i find rich and inviting ,even the beautiful bottle.
Kajal is one of my favorite brands, intricate fragrances with unique DNA , always long lasting and with one of a kind bottles. Lamar I own, my favorite that’s why I was patiently anticipating Ruby review on Cafleurebon.
    Thanks a bunch

Remarkably enjoyable article , bravo to Nicoleta Tomsa
I learned about the rubies a lot , how the design of te cap came to realization and also about one exceptional fragrance like Ruby .
So a few sips , smoothness , whipped cream, cherry pie in addition to the core of resins and and musky feel …. Then throw in that quality vanilla and I just know this is heavenly. I need Ruby like ASAP lol. Little while back i bought Lamar from the house and it is slowly becoming my most worn fragrance , with Ruby I’m not looking to replace it , but for a different fruity and fun perspective , I feel so tempted now .
    Appreciate the chance – EU

  • What sparks my interest in Kajal Perfumes Ruby based on Nicoleta’s review is the way the fragrance embodies a rich tapestry of love and emotion. The review paints Ruby not merely as a scent but as an olfactive journey. I live in Poland, EU.

There’s a great match between one of my favorite parts of Nicoleta Tomsa article with a quote by the great Oscar Wilde

~Eros- Love in Flames: There is a legend that says that rubies were born of fire – and they are so potent that if cast into the water, they could make it boil, igniting the liquid like a red lightning strike.
    – Nicoleta Tomsa

    and

~And her sweet red lips on these lips of mine Burned like the ruby fire set In the swinging lamp of a crimson shrine, Or the bleeding wounds of the pomegranate, Or the heart of the lotus drenched and wet With the spilt-out blood of the rose-red wine.
    -Oscar Wilde

Burning they are , Ruby sounds so deep and enigmatic, almost eternal. That’s why I made the connection with Oscar Wilde thoughts.
I have a feeling during the process of creating Ruby Moe Khalaf had multiple of flavorful brainstorming moments , from the the bottle design with Leonardo Ranucci , and maybe a few drinks with Ayşe Sirkecioğlu .
My takeaway about Ruby is the overall sense of refinery and heritage. It appeals to me that and maybe a few drinks with Ayşe Sirkecioğlu infused the fragrance with her and Moe Khalaf respect for the Middle Eastern culture and traditions, and love for exquisite desserts.
In light of cherry pie, amaretto and camphorous sparkle review , and detailed introduction I have no doubts Ruby is stunning.
    Many thanks , EU

  • – The Ruby bottle is a jewel in itself – the iconic star being reimagined in its most dazzling form yet, the Rub el Hizb pattern being brought to life by the vision of Leonardo Ranucci, a creative designer whose mastery of fine jewelry craftsmanship has shaped some of Kajal’s most exquisite designs (he was also the artist behind the Almaz and Masa caps).

Splendid approach, I like such inside information I can’t find anywhere else, thank you Nicoleta for reaching out to Moe Khalaf for such details.
Kajal are crushing it , one hit after another Kajal IV in 2023 won a prestigious award, ÄICAN was received well , everyone online and on Cafleurebon were stunned by Lamar Noir , and now i’m captivated by Ruby , and I’ll try to express my opinion on the topic.
I find impressive how Ayşe Sirkecioğlu , with Moe Khalaf help I’m sure was were able to merge elegance and delicious memories , to meet Nicoleta Tomsa expectations , and in general showing her work ethics and appreciation for artistry too.
Even though my favorite Kajal Dahab and Ruby share the fruity part the two are also different, the playful and flamboyant Dahab and the more enigmatic Ruby .
No matter the scent profiles the two share the sense of exclusivity , with Ruby leaning on sizzling explosions on red fruits, champagne and cherry candies and pineapple juice. Dim light? I’m all for it.
Thanks for the introduction , the review of course and the giveaway

Rubies, amaretto, cherries and the very essence of khajal? I tend to believe I’m a fast learner still coming from someone who’s used to mostly designer fragrances and more simplistic reviews i still try to adjust to niche and indie perfumery, and niche style of reviews on Cafleurebon.
Nicoleta Tomsa was able to trick my imagination into thinking and luxury desserts and cocktails , where the sweetness and boldness are perfectly dosed and compounded to alluring moments.

“And yeah, with a glass of amaretto nearby – to wash down this indulgent dream”
By all means I approve Nicoleta’s dream , eye-opening introduction, zealous review , Ruby is one spectacular fragrance.
Thank you Ayşe Sirkecioğlu , Nicoleta Tomsa , Cafleurebon and Kajal Perfumes . EU

  • I love Kajal. It is by far and away my favourite fragrance house. Their perfumes are distinct amongst niche fragrances, but the DNA that runs through all of them make them so easy to tell that it’s a Kajal you are smelling. They manage to make sweet and decadent fragrances that smell like they are for adults, which is hard to do. Not juvenile, cheap or “body spray” smelling – perfectly niche, deluxe fragrance making. And that is the sense that emanates from Nicoleta’s. Describing a fragrance that smells decadent, lavish and fun, but for grown ups.

  • Thanks to Nicoleta Tomsa review i started thinking about all kinds of warm and tropical moments I’d like to experience in the Summer
I’m now curious about Ruby and the way it evolves. The contrast between the delicious fruits, cherry pie and ice cream , day and night, innocence and temptation is to die for. Ruby was crafted from Moe Khalaf belief in the power of optimism , with lots vibrancy and positive energy .
Such a nice thing to read, according to Nicoleta Tomsa Ayşe Sirkecioğlu decided to focus on a carefree times when creating Ruby. I believe the perfumer was quite careful when choosing every single raw material , so the fragrance can tell a different and more unique delicious story.
I own 2 Kajal Perfumes already, Lamar and Almaz and I can say the happy burst of juicy tropical fruits and cheerfulness is so common for the brand.
I actually called my local Kajal official distributor to ask about Ruby , and the told me I’ll be able to smell in a few weeks since it’s not yet in stock , can’t wait to try it.

  • Wow, Ruby sounds like a delicacy!! I really appreciate all the “facets” of Ruby reflecting the various forms of love ❤️!! Leveraging the gourmand aspects of a fragrance intended to represent love is genius because for so many food can be a love language. From the sweet and perhaps even tangy to the soft and warm attributes, Ruby sounds like this will be a true gem of a fragrance. I would continue with the puns but I think everyone gets the point. It’s striking that Kajal fragrances are sought for on major exhibitions like Esxence , and it’s not just the juice but the presentation of Ruby is also spectacular.
Other than the cherry, ice-cream and amaretto connection what i enjoyed the most in Nicoleta Tomsa theme is the typical for Kajal high quality raw materials , the balanced gourmand , creamy and comforting information, and the amazing performance. With Nicoleta’s contribution I believe I found a posh warm weather scent.

  • Beautifully written. My grandmother was born in July, her birthstone was a Ruby and everything in her house was Ruby red. This would be a perfect bottle and fragrance for her. Takes me back to summers with her, eating dark sweet cherry ice cream. We miss you Billie Jean! Fragrances can be so magical sometimes! USA

  • Where do I even start….Kajal was my first niche fragrance. Starting with Almaz. I wasn’t ready for that scent at that time since it was early in my journey. Since then they have quietly become my favorite niche house with me adding Pour Homme III and IV, Masa and Aican. When I first saw this announced I knew I had to have it. My favorite house…with my favorite note (cherry)? What could go wrong?

Nicoleta’s review was a perfect description of the phases of love matching with the phases of the fragrance. What interests me most is this note of ice cream in the mid. I have never seen that with a fragrance and to know it’s mixed with that cherry and almond and a milky texture….yeah i need that lol

  • Kajal Perfumes development is absolutely remarkable and their future is bright with Moe Khalaf being the captain of the ship. In my opinion they do everything right, top presentations , original and sophisticated fragrances made with highest quality ingredients, performance is great too. I know all of Kajal fragrances excluding Ruby , and if I have to rate my favorite ones depending on my mood
    1.Lamar/ ÄICAN
    2. Almaz / Dahab
    3. Kajal IV / Lamar Noir

Not that’s something new i was not aware of, I had no idea Moe Khalaf is working with other designers now other than Omar Ayoub. Such an interesting extra detail, thank you Nicoleta.
By the way is it just me, or Moe Khalaf is only working with dedicated, and motivated positive people? Ayşe Sirkecioğlu is part of EPS Fragrances , the same team that gave us ÄICAN.
Back to Ruby now , in my opinion the most anticipated fragrance in the community , and it’s not even close. Because of all Kajal fragrances that came before people’s expectations for Ruby are through the roof . Imo Moe and Ayşe Sirkecioğlu were able to find a way to Ideally match the cherries and pineapple , the ice cream , the pie with a glass of amaretto.

  • Howdy everyone
Soon we’d step into Q2 of a the year full of international tensions and I very much enjoy the way Nicoleta Tomsa invites us to more cozy and brighter atmosphere experience with Kajal Ruby.
Amaretto, ice-cream , almonds and delicious pie is combination you don’t see everyday, considering the soft and warm characteristics i tend to believe , with Nicoleta’s ’s help that smelling Kaja Ruby no doubt transcends the ordinary carefree experiences.
Ayşe Sirkecioğlu was able to put sweet , fruity and comforting traits in one unique basket , i’m intrigued .

Nicoleta Tomsa appreciation for Kajal fragrances and Moe Khalaf talent is apparent from his article , and that doesn’t come as a surprise. Exactly like my gem Almaz, Ruby is another precious stone rooted in Arabic traditions and perfumery, but taking on a modern twist and appearing to be delicious .
I love the idea amaretto , cherries, pineapple juice, Ruby truly sounds like the fragrance I’d like to win. Thank you from the EU

  • I had the incredible luck of experiencing Kajal Ruby at Esxence 2025, and it completely captivated me. From the very first spray, it enveloped me in its rich and opulent aura. The blend of luscious red fruits, velvety rose, and warm, sensual woods creates a fragrance that feels both passionate and refined. The depth of amber and soft spices adds a mesmerizing touch that lingers beautifully on the skin.
This perfume is truly a tribute to love, and I would be thrilled to own a bottle of this stunning creation. I hope to be lucky enough to win and have the chance to share my experience with it on my social media, so more people can discover its beauty.
Thank you for this generous giveaway and for bringing such an exceptional fragrance to life! I am from Romania, Europe.

Love the idea of adding champagne and pineapple nuances to a tart cherry pie and ice cream, Ruby was crafted from Moe Khalaf passionate belief in hard work and originality. Thanks to Nicoleta Tomsa I’m aware now that Ruby is based on collaboration between him and Ayşe Sirkecioğlu using high oil concentration, it’s rich yet cozy , and very much sophisticated fragrance.

“Ruby really glows in this moment, creamy, humming on the skin, effortlessly comforting – because some of the best things in life don’t need to shout. They just are.”

I can emphasize to Nicoleta’s words, I have the exact same non-shouting attitude towards my work , hobbies and life. She was able to capture my interest with the very unique contrast between the edible and the dark and comforting aspects of Ruby , I’m even more interested now.
My favorite Kajal perfume is Homme II

  • Oh, I looove Kajal!
What sparked my interest based on Nicoleta’s review is “If you’re drawn to cherries, almonds, with a modern, airy, fruity-milky-creamy refreshing take on gourmands- one that delivers all the feel-good endorphins of something delicious without ever feeling heavy or cloying – then congratulations, you might have just found your next obsession.”

I watched a short video recently where Ruby was being featured at Esxence and I thought wow, I really need to try this!
I love how Nicoleta describes the transition of the scent starting from a ruby-hued champagne.. to the heady rush of cherry candy and pineapple juice.. and then a decadent sweet-yet-sour cherry pie with amaretto to finish. I mean, it sounds just delicious doesn’t it.
I had the pleasure of trying two of Kajal’s other fragrance samples in my ScentXplore box a few years back and the performance and quality of the scents were very impressive. I’ve been eager to explore the brand more since. It would be a treat to say the least to receive a bottle like this. And also, that cap alone is to die for
Thank you CaFleureBon for the article and for the opportunity to comment.

  • I have been interested in Kajal for about a year now! I love their scents Aican and Lamar, my friend went to Milan and told me about Ruby and I instantly knew I had to get it! The notes sound absolutely perfect

  • Nicoleta’s review makes Ruby sound incredible! The contrast between the fizzy, tart cherry-pineapple opening and the creamy, warm drydown sparks my interest– I love fragrances that balance brightness with cozy sweetness. The idea of a scent feeling like a sunlit terrace and a shared dessert is so inviting. From the US 🙂

The part where the brand is discussed with its values of modesty, unhurried and deliberate ascent goes down well with my desired setup at the moment. Also, how the precious stone is being crafted out to achieve a gem slowly aligns with how I would like to transform my life. Everlasting love as a motif feels very pertinent for a perfume in this bottle. The scent is a bonus. I liked reading that review.

I love the way Khajal does fruit and this sounds amazing! Throw in the fact that everyone at Esxence was talking about it and I’m sure it smells amazing. Khajal also has the absolute best bottles out there. This review was fantastic, showing how the fragrance encapsulate love in it’s forms. From the US.

  • I love how Kajal Perfumes weaves together this deep sense of cultural heritage with a fresh, modern vibe—it’s fascinating to see that come through in Moe Khalaf’s story and the way the brand’s name ties back to modesty and grace. And then there’s Ruby, launched with all this buzz around love and the ruby stone’s timeless energy; I love how it takes you on this vivid ride from juicy, fiery fruits to that soft, creamy warmth that just lingers—it feels so personal yet totally relatable, like a perfect mix of old-school roots and something new. • Nice review Nicoleta! Once again this year, gourmands continue to reign supreme at Esxence. In this case, Kajal, by Moe Khalaf, brings us a fruity(red)-milky-creamy refreshing take in this style. Ruby’s red color evokes love in all its forms; it’s no coincidence that it was launched on Valentine’s Day. I love the playful opening with cherry candy and fresh pineapple juice and its evolution into amaretto with warm, lactic notes afterward. A risk would be to be heavy and cloying, but Ruby avoids this and is delicious without ever feeling heavy. I think it’s perfectly appropriate to recognize Leonardo Ranucci’s work in the bottle design. I live in Spain, EU.

  • I’m in the USA and I need to smell this! I’ve been impressed with this brand so far after having positive experiences with both Äican and Lamar Noir. I want a cherry fragrance for the collection and the idea of cherry ice cream presented here sounds promising to me. The delicious feel good endorphins mentioned in the review are what I need right now!

The right way to start is with Moe Khalaf life story , then go the Arabic essence of Kajal , to their marvelous bottles , and then go to the present time with Nicoleta Tomsa review of Ruby.
Apparently Moe Khalaf was a bright mind with interest is perfumes , art and creativity who had a decade of experience in beauty giants before creating Kajal. From the very beginning of Kajal up until now Moe Khalaf goals are still the same , triggering past and forging future artistic memories related to deeply cultural references yet modern at the same time. Other than the Middle Eastern grace I’m also impressed by the fact that Kajal do collaborate with creative designers with fine jewelry experience like Leonardo Ranucci.
Ruby is an elegant gourmand , where the cherries, pineapple ice-cream are easy to detect , on the flip side because of the amaretto possesses a tad bolder personality. Special fragrance i’d cherish if I win.
My previous experience with Kajal Parfums is limited to Lamar, I’m happy to have a bottle.

  • The fusion of luxury, cultural symbolism, and deep storytelling is captivating. The way Ruby is described, both visually and olfactively, paints a multi-sensory experience, blending mythology, tradition, and modern craftsmanship into something truly evocative.
I love this site and the way the editors describe these artistic operas, letting their passion speak for them.

    Hello Cafleurebon
Moe Khalaf has always been respectful and modest , looking to ignite the interest of fragrance enthusiasts.I don’t remember the last time I’ve seen Nicoleta Tomsa so uber exited for a gourmand , that’s a statement on its own ! If she believes the juiciness of the cherries and pineapple , the ice-cream and the premium champagne are making Ruby so addictive , i can’t even imagine how good it really is. Setting the bar higher and higher is what Moe Khalaf always do, he did with Almaz , Lamar , ÄICAN , IV , Lamar Noir and now with Ruby he raised it even more.
Kevin Mathys won Art and Olfaction Awards for Kajal IV , Ayşe Sirkecioğlu could very well follow his footsteps and win another award this year for Ruby , the precious stone with radiant heart

As a fragrance lover and Certified Master Bench Jeweler (US terminology, it’s called Master Goldsmith in UK) I’m super excited for Kajal Ruby.
The name speaks to me of course because my appreciation for rubies . Pretty sure with Leonardo Ranucci help, or by their own research Ayşe Sirkecioğlu and Moe Khalaf were aware that the brightest and most valuable shade of red, called blood-red or pigeon blood, commands a large premium over other rubies of similar quality , and are particularly desirable and valuable. These rubies have a bright red hue with a mild purple tint. Viewed under light, they appear deep red in color.
Kajal Perfumes is a brand every fragrance lover needs to know , it’s a must because of exquisite and alluring creations made from the best of the best ingredients , long lasting on top of that with help of talanted perfumers.
I really like sweet fruity and fragrance with a boozy edge , and Ruby checks all the boxes for me. The fragrance shows the levels of excellence Moe Khalaf is always striving for , and the jewelry related name excites me even more. As usual the bottle is 10/10.

I’m Kajal because of III and Dahab , and now thanks to your blog and Nicoleta Tomsa I’m enthusiastic about Ruby too. The fragrance is a tropical bouquet done right. • What a captivating review Nicoleta! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this—her description of the gourmand notes is not only mouth-watering but also stirs curiosity about how this scent truly unfolds in person. A fragrance that encapsulates love in all its dimensions—romantic, passionate, familial, or platonic—feels both inviting and deeply intriguing. The composition seems to strike a beautiful balance: comforting yet uplifting, sweet yet grounded. I’m genuinely fascinated and eager to explore it. Plus, the visuals Nicoleta chose for the review are stunning, and the bottle itself is a masterpiece. All fragrances can tell a story, some are passionate, some are sad and other do have a happy ending. I told the story before, but I’ll do it again since it means a great deal to me !
There is one particular Kajal fragrance that will always have a special place in my heart, because to me it tell the best story possible . Reading about how Lamar Ruby came to be was like déja vu all over again for me because i met my loving husband on Boyz II Men concert , the famous r’n’b and soul group while wearing Jihan . He … back then a total stranger complimented me with “You smell intoxicating” and the rest is history
I have a keen interest in Kajal Ruby because of Moe Khalaf cosmopolitan personality , and the delicious and sexy profile leading up to good memories . I like the seductive touches coming from the amaretto and the champagne , on top of a bowl of ice-cream with cherries on top . I think there’s a synergy between Moe Khalaf and delicious perfumes

  • There’s so much buzz surrounding Lamar Ruby , doesn’t matter the demographics or the stylistic preferences every single person lucky enough to smell it already is speaking of its delicious vacation characteristics.
Ayşe Sirkecioğlu is a perfumer I’m not aware of , but if Moe Khalaf trusted her with the process of creating Ruby she’s really good, there’s no way around.
Kajal warm weather DNA, still fruity and tropical, but leaning on the tart cherry pie with vanilla ice-cream and delicious cocktails at night , the whole combination is a match made in Heaven. Ruby is little black dress category fragrance if you ask me.
What appeals to me in Nicoleta’s review is how genuinely amazed she is by Kajal as a brand , and in particular Ruby , it’s not just a review he had to do, she enjoyed every single moment.
Delicious , delectable , comforting and a bit lustful at the same time, I’d love to win Ruby.

  • Kajal Perfumes Ruby sounds like the ultimate gourmand for people in love. The name and packaging and the berries and cherries beginning tells me this is a playful, romantic fragrance. It’s hard to have so many gourmand notes and still be sophisticated, but the amber and musk base seems to add a relaxing, comforting feel. MD, USA.

Ruby is revitalizing mixture of comforting gourmand and cozy touches , such a delicious and leathery composition. Ayşe Sirkecioğlu cooked a great one , no doubt about that . Of course Moe Khalaf box of surprises is always full, almost bottomless. What a gorgeous presentation Lamar Ruby has.
Nicoleta’s take on the fragrance made me think of being on a tropical island and making a traditional Sweet Cherry Pie with Amaretto Whipped Cream , and garnished it with a few scoops of Madagascar Vanilla ice-cream.

  • Striking, spectacularly-patterned packaging, paired with a composition that uses the current en vogue cherry note in interesting ways. That sharply-sweet fruity opening sounds surprisingly candy-like, considering the other gourmand elements are more restrained and comforting in tone. Kajal Perfumes Ruby is a lot of fun.

    I’m in the USA.

  • It’s interesting how no matter who the perfumer is , Kajal never disappoint its fans.Kevin Mathys won the Art and Olfaction Awards for Kajal IV giveaway , ÄICAN is fantastic made by EPS Fragrances team, Patrick Müller did wonders with Lamar Noir and mid March of 2025 everyone is talking about Ruby by Ayşe Sirkecioğlu.

    – Patrick Müller

So nice , modern multidimensional fragrance, sweet, fruity , boozy and flirtatious. Ruby is a sophisticated fragrance with high compliment factor, can’t wait to see how some glasses of amaretto wood fell too together with the tart cherry pie and the pineapple juice.
Nicoleta thinks delivers feel-good endorphins and I’m not surprised.
Dahab , Almaz, Lamar and Masa are my favorites from Kajal , all are in my possession , since compliments are so important to me i’d like to say out of the three Dahab gets me the most positive reactions .

  • I believe it’s easy to say Moe Khalaf is working his dream job , which is so rare. I firmly believe if you want to be successful in this world and at the same time be happy , you have to follow your passion first, not a paycheck. The original idea of Rub el Hizb pattern being brought to life by Leonardo Ranucci could very well be his , and only comes to show the creative part of Moe Khalaf character.
I know Kajal Perfumes, still I’m not familiar with the perfumer Ayşe Sirkecioğlu.

  • My takeaway about Lamar Ruby and Nicoleta Tomsa work with a quote from the opening

“The Ruby bottle is a jewel in itself – the iconic star being reimagined in its most dazzling form yet, the Rub el Hizb pattern being brought to life by the vision of Leonardo Ranucci, a creative designer whose mastery of fine jewelry craftsmanship has shaped some of Kajal’s most exquisite designs (he was also the artist behind the Almaz and Masa caps).”

Unquestionably dedication is a must for the 21st century dire competition, and expectations are beyond high for everyone , in particular for high end popular niche brands like Kajal Perfumes. Leonardo Ranucci work speaks for itself, absolutely breathtaking design , also yet kind of expected because with Moe everything needs to be perfect , he’s accepting nothing nearly right or good enough . The shape is different than the bottle of Homme II , my personal favorite but just as pretty , if not prettier.
Judging by the detailed introduction Middle Eastern symbolism , rubies, Nicoleta honest opinion and how ecstatic she is describing Ruby all makes me feel free will sophisticated fragrance with fruity carefree appeal is already on the market.
    Thank you

Nicoleta certainly seems to have a huge love for the fruity , ice-cream and tipsy nature of Ruby in her review. Seems like it would be an attractive scent for summer evenings and going out.
Leonardo Ranucci is brilliant and talented designer Ruby presentation is very unique with prominent crimson red color , as well as cap that looks like a jewel itself.
I would love to win this amazing new release. I am from the EU

  • Since Nicoleta Tomsa is not the biggest gourmand fan just by reading the article I visualized the exact same moment when she smelled Ruby for the first time. Through the overall enthusiasm in the article I can almost see the delightfulness in his eyes when if finally came out so great.
To be fair there are also other niche brands with luxurious boxes and bottles, the difference is Kajal actually delivers not just beautiful bottles but upscale refined fragrances like no other .
Personally I’ve never smelled cherry fragrance fragrance with amaretto , pineapple and ice cream accords , kudos for the idea.I like all kinds of gourmands , but especially the more comfy ones like Ruby , also like how Nicoleta Tomsa spoke to Moe Khalaf so he can share some light on Rub el Hizb pattern and Leonardo Ranucci work.
I’m a fan of OG Kajal Lamar and IV , EU

Nicoleta’s review was absolute perfection to me as I was not aware of the intricacies of the brand’s history and now I’m even more desirous of trying fragrances from this house. Her review was also so descriptive of Kajal’s Ruby fragrance that I can’t help but need to experience every facet of this amazing new offering from the brand.

  • It was interesting to hear the background of how Moe Khalaf started this brand. I have read so many rave reviews of Ruby that I can’t help but be curious to try it. This is such a beautifully evocative review and makes the perfume sound gorgeous! I love cherry and almond. There is a reason these notes are often paired. Never make an old fashioned cherry pie without adding just a drop of almond flavoring. The two notes compliment each other beautifully. I’m in the USA.

Kajal fragrances and in particular Ruby captivated my interest. With the assistance of Nicoleta Tomsa i can tell the idea of tart cherry pie and amaretto is expertly applied by Ayşe Sirkecioğlu , giving Ruby a few delicious and boozy edges. I’m just as keen on the ice-cream and the brown sugar too all leading to a deep elegant richness.I’m down with the idea of such smooth and alluring fragrances .
I acknowledge Nicoleta Tomsa fine work and I’d like to say I’m thankful for the chance. EU

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with Moe (Creative Director, Founder of Kajal). Moe seems to embody the meaning of Kajal. He is a genuine and humble man. He has a special way in how he makes one feel when in his presence. I believe this also transcends into the passion he has in creating his brand and the fragrances, many of which, I have come to thoroughly enjoy and own. This latest creation has captured both me and my wife’s attention…LOVE, what a wonderful inspiration. What’s not to LOVE about the inspiration and THE NOTES. Oh MY GOODNESS! This is one that is calling our name! This could be a LOVE AT FIRST SNIFF for us. 🙂

I love Nicoleta’s description of Ayşe Sirkecioğlu wrapping Ruby in a succulent and decadent cherry coat concurrently with a camphorous dress underneath.
Beyond questions I’m all for the zesty effervescence, crunchy crust and amaretto qualities all mashed into a indulgent tonality.
Nicoleta highlighted the authenticity , modesty and Middle Eastern grace as foundations of Kajal path and I’m on board with that.
I’m delighted by the review and the chance , in the UK

  • Kajal Perfumes fragrances I discovered long time ago 7-8 years maybe, and based on what I learned about Ruby I’m intrigued once again.
“As Ruby settles into its final chapter, musks, vanilla, amber, and benzoin melt together, wrapping around you like the softest, weightless yet full of presence cocoon of dim light.”
Nicoleta Tomsa really paints a picture of this intricate fragrance . What really grabbed me in her review was Ruby extensive journey. The way it all started with Leonardo Ranucci splendid design , the very essence of khajal and the overall sense of smoothness.
Ayşe Sirkecioğlu was able to achieve the perfect balance between sweet and playful on one part, and comfort and romance on another. Depending on Nicoleta Tomsa experience with the fragrance I’m convinced Ruby is a very special gourmand with lots of depth, and carefree character

  • Well this sounds very gourmand! I have actually been wanting a cherry fragrance. I missed the cherry boat by choice a while back but now I’m ready! Could this be love??

Wow…this sounds beautifully haunting! This enchanting elixir has enticed me in a way that has me longing for even ust a whisper of a scent. This sounds remarkable!

  • Fantastic Cafleurebon read delivered by Nicoleta Tomsa

“Like the artisan who slowly polishes a precious stone, Kajal’s journey is shaped with intention, each gesture precise, each detail infused with meaning, almost ritualistic, crafting something that truly lingers, not just on the skin but also in the souls of the ones who chose to enter their world.”

Where I should even start with this time ?!? Should I start with Moe Khalaf passion for creative and mysterious fragrances , the fruity splash and cherry pie , the delicious ice-cream with brown sugar warm gourmand profile, or maybe the emotional connection with the Middle East , or the legend that says that rubies were born of fire , all are equally as important for the forming of Ruby identity .
The new fragrance is so special, yes it’s like a sweet dream yet so serene I can feel it. I came to realization I need a Middle Eastern voyage , and I need Ruby

One particular phrase caught my attention from Nicoleta Tomsa description “The very essence of khajal – this quiet reverence, this subtle Middle Eastern grace – is woven into the brand’s ethos, making its success story not a race to the top, but an unhurried and deliberate ascent” .
That’s really intriguing as I have become more attracted to Middle Eastern culture and style of fragrances as I’ve progressed in my fragrance journey. Nicoleta absolutely delivered with her comprehensive review and painted a really excellent picture of this offering. I’m found of delicious cherries and almonds , ice-cream and amaretto and Ruby thrills me very much.
Kajal is a brand I’ve wanted to sample so I hope to get this in my collection. Appreciate the chance EU

I like how Kajal Ruby represent both the classic elements of the past and also showing the brightness of the future.
I appreciate Nicoleta Tomsa article since it helped me getting in touch with Rub el Hizb pattern brought to life by Leonardo Ranucci and the ancient legend that says that rubies were born of fire.
Ayşe Sirkecioğlu made fragrance is letting its fun side shine bright with all the gourmand facets , and that hot sweet-yet-sour-cherry pie thickens up the feel of red hue , with amaretto adding a boozy undertones to this exelance. As Nicoleta said, Ruby is like a luscious indulgent dream , Love that! EU

What more to ask? Nicoleta Tomsa served us an exotic Kajal cocktail called Ruby , and garnished it with wisdom, Middle Eastern introspection , vacations , elegance and a glass of amaretto nearby . Let the of cherry and almondy spring begin.

    Howdies from Germany
I’m very much picky in terms of cherry and milky fragrances , and especially those that combine the two.
Nicoleta Tomsa assessment of Kajal Ruby brought me back to my childhood , and our family trips to the country side , i had lots of hot sweet-yet-sour-cherry pies back then LOL
I became instantly attracted to the comforting cherry gourmand smell of Ruby together with carefully selected by Moe Khalaf and Ayşe Sirkecioğlu other deeper and delectable shades like the sprinkled with brown sugar ice-cream , almonds resins and the dance between delicious and serene.
When I buy new niche fragrances the quality should be outstanding, and with certain level of comfort. I’m definitely impressed .
Sum total i love the whole read , and I’d also love to win a bottle of Ruby . Thank you

  • Never tried anything from this house so I am curious about everything I can put my nose on, more so knowing that other frag-heads keep Kajal in such a high praise. Thank you!!

I enjoyed reading about the origin of Kajal’s name. I admire the Middle Eastern ethos of grace, modesty, and quiet reverence. Ruby sounds absolutely stunning with such elegant and opulent notes. The cherry, almond, and pineapple notes sound sparking and zesty. Then whipped cream and ice cream in the heart sound warm and decadent. The vanilla and amber in the base continue the ruby glow.

Nicoleta Tomsa’s introduction to KAJAL Ruby was truly captivating, offering a fascinating glimpse into the creative process behind this luscious and luxurious fragrance. I particularly appreciated Nicoleta’s description of how the perfume transitions Ruby’s precious stone brightness into a memory wrapped in laughter and sweetness , likening it to the feeling of wearing a warm but tart cherry pie.
The balance between luscious and comforting elements in is masterful. I feel that Ruby is a scent designed to leave a lasting impression. Best wishes from EU

Since Lamar is my fave , and Moe Khalaf complex nature is very much similar to mine I’d like to say I’m thankful for the chance of winning Ruby .
Taking into consideration my impressions of the awesome intro , deeper resonances echoing from the Arabic word khajal, modesty and authenticity as foundations of Moe Khalaf vision and Middle Eastern grace , i’m convinced he’s not just a guy with a good attitude but also a passionate dreamer , and to a great extent a gentleman.
It’s vital to me that Ruby even though a delicious fruity fruits fragrance, is different than Lamar. The sour cherry pie, the big dollop of ice cream, amber and benzoin are setting the bar so high for a cherry fragrance. The amaretto is a riveting new addition too
Leonardo Ranucci did a marvelous work with the design , absolutely breathtaking
    Many thanks , UK

Thank you for this detailed review of Kajal Ruby ! I appreciate how Nicoleta Tomsa showcased the way Ayşe Sirkecioğlu brought depth and intensity to this fragrance , making it a graceful and a tad boozy counterpart to all the cherry fragrances on the market.

The unique merging of different types of gourmands aspects like warm cherry pie , whipped cream , hints of amaretto and some scoops of ice-cream, with rubies legends of old and glorious designs are the most appealing sides of Nicoleta Tomsa article, Kajal Ruby such an alluring fragrance . I’m expecting an intoxicating haze that came as a result of Ayşe Sirkecioğlu efforts.
Feel good endorphins I’d accept eagerly. Also no one can deny Kajal Perfumes bottles are well made pieces of art .
There are three equally as great Kajal Perfumes fragrances I’m aware of Lamar of course, Dahab and Äikan. I had a terrific time reading Nicoleta Tomsa article

All the fragrances and the fragrance information i can find on Cafleurebon are multidimensional every single time. Ayşe Sirkecioğlu and Kajal Perfumes set the bar , really … really high with for the warmer months with some delectable sour cherries , ice-cream drizzled with brown sugar , almonds and the Middle Eastern region inspirations behind Lamar Noir.

Like a ruby held in a ray of sun and slowly rotated, it reveals different facets with every shift and turn painting the world around in deep shades of passion, devotion, and the quiet, unbreakable bonds that hold us together – Nicoleta Tomsa

I love painting especially when I need to clear my mind , all those shades are dear to my heart too. What the professional vision of Leonardo Ranucci helped him to achieve with Ruby’s bottle and cap
is hard to replicate … unbelievable craftsmanship.
I know niche fragrances and with the fearsome competitiveness on the market i need something to really grab my attention, and Kajal Perfumes Ruby high quality raw materials, mouthwatering gourmand connections melding with the almond cocktails and the harmonious element Nicoleta Redolessence mentioned did the trick for me.
Through Ruby I can book a flight to the MiddleEast , whiteout actually being there. You can’t beat that

It seems like Nicoleta do have a lot of past memories with Kajal Perfumes, I do know the brand too , Ayşe Sirkecioğlu and Leonardo Ranucci i just found out about thanks to the intro . Other than a successful business owner Moe Khalaf is a respectful guy , interesting detail.
Ruby instantly triggered Nicoleta’s good times tropical memories on some sun-drenched terrace with ice-cream , amaretto and velvety warmth .Cherries and almonds are favorites of mine, let alone how Nicoleta said Ruby possesses a carefree demeanor , exquisite pleasure I’d love to win.
Kajal Perfumes strongly associate with the first Lamar , one of my best fragrances in my collection

Kajal have been releasing gems lately, one after another Almaz , Äikan , III , IV , Lamar Noir and brand new Ruby seems to be a high karat precision stone too . I’m so glad I’m familiar with Kajal , the two I actually ordered are IV and Lamar.
I have a penchant for high grade gourmand fragrances , from succulent fruity to , boozy , leathery and woody, i like them all.
Nicoleta Tomsa examination of Ruby fascinated me , the fragrance is so posh , and the new dark red flacon with Rub el Hizb pattern on the capis so beautiful.
Even the naming is a bullseye, as the fragrance look and smell matches the legend that says that rubies were born of fire.
    Thank you very much

“..like a hot sweet-yet-sour-cherry pie being taken out of the oven, a big dollop of ice cream scooped on top of the golden, crunchy crust, melting all the flavors together” Nicoleta had me closing my eyes to interpret what that could be , and I started salivating .
The looks of the bottle and the comment “the best things in life don’t need to shout” sold it for me. The blend of juicy cherries, baked goods with the amaretto will set it apart. Having worn many of Kajal’s line, I am anxiously waiting to try this !

  • I decided to share my takeaway about Nicoleta Tomsa diverse opening first :

“The Ruby bottle is a jewel in itself – the iconic star being reimagined in its most dazzling form yet, the Rub el Hizb pattern being brought to life by the vision of Leonardo Ranucci, a creative designer whose mastery of fine jewelry craftsmanship has shaped some of Kajal’s most exquisite designs (he was also the artist behind the Almaz and Masa caps).”

Other than sampling Ruby I’d do more research on Leonardo Ranucci , as a fellow artisan I’d say crafting always brings joy to the artist no questions asked . The bottle looks just as good as my bottle of Lamar Noir .
Ruby sweet but comforting fragrance , directly influenced by both spiritual presence of rubies and Moe Khalaf virtues of humbleness, and also by the inscrutable opulent nature of the Middle East. It’s not just the great smelling aroma with cherries, amaretto and whipped cream , temptations are offered as well.
    Much appreciated. From EU

There’s a famous quote that says “Here’s an idea:Let’s get over ourselves, buy a cherry pie, and go fall in love with life” and Ruby is the evidence.
I’m fascinated by the love affair between the delicious sour cherry pie and ice-cream from one angle, and the more seductive amber and amaretto on another.
Since I haven’t been able to smell Kajal fragrances up until now Moe Khalaf personality and Nicoleta Tomsa review would be my two excuses to order a sample kit and dig right in!
The intricate layering of palatable and comfy , maybe even flirtatious , plus the Middle Eastern subtitle grace do make Lamar Ruby sound enchanting and multifaceted.
    Thanks a lot EU

  • Moe Khalaf colorful personality only helps him move forward , I love the way he methodically plans every single detail of the future Kajal releases. The 4 Kajal fragrances I’m familiar with are Dahab, III, IV and ÄICAN.
From Instagram and now verified by Nicoleta Tomsa I’m aware that Ruby is considered by many to be one of the best released on Esxence fragrances. Smelling both good and unique is a must , especially when there’s champagne and amaretto 🙂
The scent profile of champagne and amaretto, and the
, warm cherry pie notes are so really pleasing , not to mention how enthusiastic Nicoleta is in her review.
What actually moved me today is not just Ruby sophisticated delicious and jolly smell, but the whole experience , the new design surprised me in a good way.
