KAJAL Kolada (Toni Cabal) 2025 + A Sip of Happiness Giveaway

Kajal Kolada

KAJAL Kolada by Olya Bar.

With their latest launch, Kolada, KAJAL whisks us away to a sun-drenched tropical shore, where the air hums with warmth, the vibe pulses with positivity, and each moment feels like a sip of a perfectly blended piña colada. As a lifelong fan of the iconic cocktail, I find its magic lies in its ability to conjure a beachside escape, no matter where I am. One sip—or, in this case, one spritz—evokes golden sunrays kissing the skin, turquoise waves lapping at ivory sands, and time slowing to a languid, blissful rhythm. Composed by perfumer Toni Cabal, KAJAL Kolada is an olfactory ode to happiness, tranquility, and exoticism, capturing the essence of a tropical paradise while inviting us to embrace gratitude in the everyday.

Close your eyes and picture a lush, tropical haven: emerald palm leaves sway gently in a balmy breeze, offering respite from the sultry heat. Pristine sands meet shimmering aquamarine waters, blending seamlessly into a cotton-candy sky painted in pastel pinks and blues, as infinite as dreams themselves. This is the sensory world of KAJAL Kolada, inspired by the legendary piña colada—a cocktail that’s a symbol of carefree joy and island serenity. KAJAL, a house rooted in the beauty of kohl and the humility of the Arabic word khajal, infuses this fragrance with a philosophy of presence and gratitude. As their press notes eloquently state, “When we radiate rays of gratitude, we bathe in a boundless ocean of abundance.” Kolada is an invitation to savor the moment, to find paradise in the smallest joys, whether on a distant shore or in the heart of daily life.

The opening is a jubilant burst of Italian bergamot, its zesty, citrusy sparkle evoking the first rays of dawn glinting off the ocean, someplace tropical and lush. This is joined by pineapple, succulent and radiant, its juicy sweetness symbolizing prosperity and friendship. The pineapple note is pure, unadulterated joy—like biting into a ripe, sun-warmed fruit, its tanginess cutting through the humid air with a refreshing snap. Subtle fruity notes weave through the opening, adding a playful, tropical vibrancy that feels like laughter carried on a sea breeze.

The heart of KAJAL Kolada blooms with a delicate, floral elegance that softens the exuberant opening. Violet, powdery and subtly sweet, unfurls like petals caught in a gentle wind, its velvety texture evoking the softness of a tropical twilight. Paired with lily of the valley, a flower steeped in symbolism of luck, happiness, and love, the heart notes bring a crystalline freshness, like dewdrops glistening on delicate blooms. This floral duo is ethereal yet grounded, balancing the fruity top notes with a refined tenderness that feels like a whispered promise of serenity.

As the extrait de parfum evolves, the base notes reveal its soulful depth, coconut milk, creamy and lush, dominates with a rich, velvety texture that conjures the heart of a piña colada—smooth, indulgent, and evocative of swaying palms. Unlike the overly sweet coconut scents we often see being launched, this note is sophisticated, tempered by the musky warmth of amber, which glows like sunlit sand, and Siamese benzoin, a resinous, vanillic embrace that adds a balsamic depth. Together, these base notes create a lingering trail that’s both sensual and comforting, symbolizing, as KAJAL notes, “the unity of body, mind, and spirit.”

  • What interests me most about this fragrance is the idea that it doesn’t try to replicate a piña colada literally, but instead evokes the feeling of one—the mood, the warmth, and the sense of escape. I appreciate that approach in perfumery: translating emotions and experiences into scent without becoming overly gourmand or predictable. The coconut milk note, softened by amber and benzoin, sounds particularly inviting.

Olya’s description of the pineapple note as “pure, unadulterated joy” really caught my attention. So many tropical scents go either too sweet or too synthetic, but this sounds like a carefully balanced, radiant take. The inclusion of violet and lily of the valley to temper the fruitiness is unexpected but makes me curious to see how those transitions play out on skin.

The way this perfume is described as both grounding and uplifting sun-drenched but serene feels unique. I’m drawn to fragrances that can create that inner sense of calm and joy without overwhelming the senses. Kolada sounds like it might offer a gentle kind of escapism, which I find especially appealing in summer scents.

  • AromaAdventurer says:

What sparks my interest most is the contrast between the vibrant tropical opening and the deeper, more contemplative base. I love when a fragrance can shift tone over time, revealing different moods throughout its wear. Coconut milk with amber and benzoin suggests a soft, enveloping drydown that I think I’d reach for often.

There’s something really compelling about the idea of “radiating rays of gratitude” through scent. I’ve always viewed fragrance as a daily rituala way to connect with presence and this review makes Kolada sound like it captures that feeling beautifully. The way it builds from bright citrus and fruit to something more soulful and reflective feels meaningful. I am from Canada.

  • Makenziebanister says:

This has been on my wish list for a while! The pineapple note is a hot topic! Olya just further confirms my suspicions of it being the perfect summer scent! Nothing beats a pina colada in the heat of the summer. To surround yourself in the aroma that is described as sensual and comforting. Something not overtly sweet, Sounds like a winner for the end of summer.

  • carrie_earle says:

I really like that Olya touched on this being a sophisticated coconut instead of the overly sweet, fruity, coconut typically found in these types of scents. In the US.

  • It’s a delightful twist of irony, a Spanish perfumer crafting a fragrance around pineapple and coconut, two fruits that wouldn’t survive a day in the rugged heart of Castilla-La Mancha. It’s like composing a flamenco ballad about surfing in Tahiti. LOL. But for me that’s the beauty of perfume because it transcends borders, climates, and botany.

While the ingredients may not be native, the artistry is unmistakably Iberian. I’ve been enjoying another Spanish fragrance this summer from Spain – Beso Beach Beso Feliz with its juicy notes of cannabis accord, blackcurrant, and jasmine. Pity that house was closed and the lines discontinued earlier this year.

    I’m in the US.

  • I’ve heard many good things about Kajal but never got around to trying any of the houses fragrances. I love tropical scents so much because I want to feel like I’m constantly on vacation, this sounds like the ultimate scent for this. The coconut not been over sweet is a huge plus, I’m tired of all the designer scents with the cloying coconuts. Awesome review for what sounds like an awesome scent. USA

  • Ramses Perez says:

Finally, a piña colada inspired drink that’s not overly sweet or a literal copy. It’s a reinterpretation of the popular drink with some refined materials and the touch of the KAJAL brand to escape to a summer tropical destination. I love coconut milk and that’s how I make my daily smoothies in the morning so I’m very familiar with the creamy and uplifting scent it leaves behind. I can only imagine the trail one will blaze with this one. Thanks to DHub 95 for the generous giveaways and Olya for the kind words. I’m located in the USA.

  • Oh my! This sounds absolutely stunning! I’ve been looking for a truly classy Pina colada scent!

The idea of a fragrance inspired by a tropical drink is fun. I liked the part in the article that described Kajal Kolada as “not overly sweet” and more like a real beach cocktail than a syrupy perfume. Curious how the creamy and woody notes come together. Would be cool to try something so summery but still grown-up. USA

Time for piña colada and a A bottle of KAJAL Kolada. Please include me in the giveaway..

  • A fruiting and creamy tropical scent is ideal right now. I love citrus and pineapple combined with coconut milk, but the addition of gentle and tropical florals will make this very special. In maryland.

  • Beautiful description, a poem, I am struck by the fact that it is a refreshing, sparkling fragrance, evoking a warm summer afternoon, a sea breeze blowing from the immense blue ocean. Thank you Olya!!!

This makes me so excited. The concept of a fragrance taking inspiration from the iconic summer pina colada sparks my interest. The fruity notes pineapple and tropical florals scream island vacation with beautiful beaches hot sands and sexy sunsets. This sounds like my ideal vacation and perfect fragrance. Kajal has some stunning offerings Ruby and Aican are my favorites from them. Kajal does a spectacular pineapple note which is another reason i’m so interested in Kolada. Kajal’s Kolade sounds like such a special beautiful summer scent. i can’t wait to try it for myself. I would love to win this one. I’m from Pennsylvania USA

  • I am a fan of the Pineapple note when done right! And Kajal showed that they were great in blending that note in the original Lamar. I read Olya’s review and I love the new twist for summer! The fresh fruitiness of that note with addition of floral notes to give a sense of summerish fun is something I was waiting for.

  • Olya always does such great reviews. The perfumer’s vision melded perfectly with Kajal’s! I loved that she included the gratitude quote from their site, and also that Moe designed the bottle. I believe I am now in desperate need of a tropical escape with a pina colada in hand. I am in the US.

  • lovethescents says:

I love love love tropical frags. I have Honore des Pres Love Coco, Lilly Pulitzer Beachy, Guerlain Terracotta, Serges Datura Noir, I could go on and on. I am particularly intrigued by this one: the bright, citrusy opening, the piñata colada and benzoin?! Sounds phenomenal! Im in Quebec, Canada. Thank you for this opportunity!

  • Pineapple and violet?? Now that’s a unique combo I can get behind! And here I thought this would be ho hum familiar. Kajal’s bottles are always so grand too. I’m excited to try this!
    I am in the U.S.

  • Eris.can.swatch.kaos says:

I love the idea of a reimagined piña colada. The pineapple a d coconut milk sounds terribly delicious, with the violet bringing in a beautiful floral element. I would be so happy to have this as my first Kajal. I live in Oregon.

  • Well, warm beaches are my favorite place to travel to and piña coladas are one of my favorite flavors of anything so Olya describing it just made me want it more! I am from Washington state in the U.S.

  • ElenaChiss says:

I think that Pina Colada is, if not my favorite cocktail, surely in top three. I never thought of wearing it as a fragrance before, but now thinking of it, it does seem like a fun thing to do! Thanks for the giveaway!

  • Pina colada is my favorite drink and i would love to pair this on a date night. Thanks for the well put together article.
    I am from USA.

  • Every time I see pineapple listed on a fragrance, immediately interested, one of my favorite notes and fruits to eat/drink. Love that Olya described this as creamy and lush and made sure to note that it’s not a super sweet coconut like a lot of other fragrances tend to lean. I also like that it was mentioned that this isn’t a “literal” pina colada but rather, a reinterpretation of it which allows for more creative freedom from the perfumer.

  • petergigov says:

It’s interesting how no matter who the perfumer is , Kajal never disappoint its fans.Kevin Mathys won the Art and Olfaction Awards for Kajal IV , ÄICAN is fantastic made by EPS Fragrances team, Patrick Müller did wonders with Lamar Noir , Ruby by Ayşe Sirkecioğlu is a great cherry fragrance and now in July everyone online is taking about the made by Toni Cabal Kolada.

Kolada is an invitation to savor the moment, to find paradise in the smallest joys, whether on a distant shore or in the heart of daily life.
    – Olya Bar
So nice , modern multidimensional fragrance, sweet, fruity , piña colada like flirtatious gem . Kolada is a sophisticated fragrance with high compliment factor, can’t wait to see how some glasses of piña colada and mixed with musky warmth and resins .
Kolada in my opinion delivers feel-good emotions and I’m not surprised. Dahab , Almaz, Lamar and Masa are my favorites from Kajal , all are in my possession , since compliments are so important to me i’d like to say out of the three Dahab gets me the most positive reactions .
    Overly exciting giveaway, USA

Thanks for the great writeup Olya!

Really pretty presentation on this – reminds me of tiling in a sea-side villa. I like that this fragrance is an embodiment of the pina colada, rather than going all out on the pina colada scent. Really interesting use of the lily of the valley note to give it that floral creaminess.,

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • Brad Woolslayer says:

I like the idea of a Pina colada type fragrance that leaves a lingering trail that is sensual and comforting. I live in Maryland USA.

  • Ah the Pina colada the most evocative drink of summer. I have been scouring for something done right and Kajal never fails in quality. The perfect balance without overly sweetness that so many colada fragrances come to invoke. This would be a fantastic addition. Kajal Colada is sure to be a hit

  • Uncle1979 says:

I enjoyed every single aspect of Olya article very , and I mean VERY much . Felt like I need Caribbean trip
Kolada is revitalizing mixture of comforting gourmand and cozy touches , such a delicious piña colada fruity-coconut composition. Toni Cabal cooked a great one , no doubt about that . Of course Moe Khalaf box of surprises is always full, almost bottomless. What a gorgeous presentation Kolada has.
Olya’s ’s take on the fragrance made me think of being on a tropical island and making a traditional Pinã Colada Wedding Cake with Pineappleand Coconut , and later on eating it on the beach with a cold bergamot juice.
The other good news is that Kolada is not like any other Kajal fragrance , not like Dahab or Lamar , my two favorites , both in my possession.
Appreciate the review and the giveaway campaign

  • I like the idea of a beach, tropical fragrance that doesn’t smell like sunscreen, and KAJAL Kolada does so while capturing the vacation fun of a piña colada without smelling exactly like a cocktail. The essential tangy pineapple note is there, but the additional floral notes that surround it are more unexpected; the “ethereal” violet and lily of the valley combination sounds wonderful and breezy. And the resinous take on coconut in the base is very appealing. Fun fragrance!

    I’m in the USA.

  • My preferences for fragrances tends to drift more towards the darker resinous and smoky end of the spectrum but I would be lying if I didn’t admit to my undeniable love of all things pineapple and coconut scented. Some days nothing else will hit the spot if I’m craving a bright and happy experience. This sounds like it could be an instant love for me. I’m ready for a tropical escape and I’m in the USA!

  • IvanVelikov says:

Let’s face it , whether it’s for dates , social nights out , party on a yacht or family trip every man needs a perfectly fitting tailor made suit , brown loafers and a fragrance like Kolada . Moe Khalaf is a refined gentleman with impeccable styling, I wish I was able to attend the Emanuel New York event to meet him in person.
I love the beautiful color scheme of the bottle, the references to the white sands and turquoise seas , delicious yet non-sticky grown-up profile with piña colada , coconut milk and sprinkled with resins, Kolada sense of refinery is tickling my fancy even more now. The quality again is definitely there , I know it since Homme II , IV and Dahab are in my possession
Thank you DHUb 95 , Olya , Cafleurebon, Toni Cabal, Moe Khalaf , Kajal

Kolada by Kajal, got me very excited. I was born where the Piña Colada was invented, and just to know that this fragrance captures the essence of a tropical cocktail with vibrant pineapple, and creamy coconut, making it perfect for tropical weather makes me feel special and happy! Based on Olya review if you love bright, creamy, tropical gourmand scents and plan to wear it in summer or tropical climates, Kolada is likely to delight you. And I am here for it! From USA

  • There’s so much buzz surrounding Kolada online , doesn’t matter the demographics or the stylistic preferences every single person lucky enough to smell it already is speaking of its delicious vacation characteristics.
Toni Cabal is a perfumer I’m not aware of , the extra information by Olya was helpful. The fact that Moe Khalaf trusted him with the process of creating Kolada means he’s really good, there’s no way around.
Kajal warm weather DNA, still fruity and tropical, but leaning on pineapple , coconut and delicious pinã colada cocktails at night , the whole combination is a match made in Heaven. Kolada is quite versatile as well, even suited for little black dress night out.
What appeals to me in Olya review is how genuinely amazed she is by Kajal as a brand , and in particular Kolada , it’s not just a review she had to do, she enjoyed every single moment.
Delicious , delectable , comforting and a bit playful at the same time, I’d love to win Kolada .
My favorite Kajal fragrance is Joorie, high quality spicy sweet rose, with honey, I like it a lot
    Thanks for the draw

  • I like the idea of taking a pina colada as a drink, and then adding to it as a scent. This sounds like something I would want to wear, whereas I might not want to really wear a pina colada drink! And one wouldn’t want sand in one’s drink! But including amber and benzoin as sandy elements in the scent is brilliant, as it adds to the “getaway” aspect of a olfactory reminder of a vacation of beach trip. I would love a beach trip in a beautiful bottle or atomizer, without the hassle of air travel! Thank you for the wonderful review ands generous draw from the US.

  • liquidasset77 says:

Kolada sounds like a really well conceived fragrance, opening with plenty of fruits notes , i can perceive how the pineapple hovers over the others notes and interplays with coconut milk. I’d like to find out if it becomes resinous and ambery on skin. To see if It is a summery flirtatious, playful fragrance with presence!

  • goknitintheocean says:

    Hi there,

Oh, this reads like a description of my favorite tropical vacation vibe. One of the things that stands out for me about KAJAL Kolada is the lack of boozy notes in the listing. I think that’s a good thing; it sounds like it really allows the bounty of fruity and floral notes to sing. Thank you for posting about the event, as well…I might just be able to stop in. I am in NYC/USA.

    Thank you!
    Deborah

  • A Pina Colada fragrance for adults! The fruit notes like pineapple and bergamot sound fresh and not drenched in syrup. The floral notes (violet, LOTV) sound positively elegant. The coconut is of the milk variety. It blends gently with the amber and benzoin to give a hint of tropical sands. As someone who enjoys summery scents but does not like overly sweet fragrances, this sounds perfect. MD, USA

  • Olya’s review made Kolada sound like more than just a fragrance — it felt like a whole vibe. I was really drawn to how she described it as capturing the emotion of a tropical escape, not just mimicking a cocktail. The idea of pineapple and bergamot sparkling like sunlight, soft florals drifting in like a breeze, and then that creamy coconut and amber base? That balance of playful and serene really speaks to me. It sounds like a scent that could instantly shift your mood, and I love that. I’m in the USA!

  • I enjoy pina colada elements in fragrances, even though I don’t typically reach for fruity scents, so I was definitely interested to read Olya’s description of Kolada as a sophisticated reinterpretation of pina colada rather than a literal re-creation. The fact that the coconut isn’t overly sweet but rather imbued with resinous amber, and the way the dual floral notes balance the fruity top notes also piques my curiosity! I am in USA.

  • LeSchnozzle says:

The floral notes in the mid interests me the most. The pineapple and coconut seem like a given but judging by Olya’s description, it sounds like it adds a bit more complexity than I would have assumed. I’m also glad to hear it doesn’t come off as a super sweet coconut milk. This sounds superb, thanks Olya and Dhub 95!

  • This sounds rich and tangy. The notes are unconventional and out of the ordinary but I know this just works. I like how it tells the tale between seas and sands with the tropicalesque facets and unusual charm. Kajals are extravagant and I assume the scent could easily outdo its presentation or vice versa. I would love to own this summertime surprise. From Jacksonville, NC.

  • foreverscents says:

I am very interested in the notes that Toni Cabal has used in Kolada. I think it is brilliant to use bergamot, and lily of the valley in a fragrance that highlights coconut. And the amber and benzoin notes in the dry down ground the fragrance in a warm embrace. The bottle design is absolutely gorgeous.
    I live in the USA.

  • willwillwilllwill says:

The descriptive and pure salesperson power Olya showcases makes me curious. I was always a fan of tropical scents, yet this one takes the cake. I live in the USA, a warmer state being Tennessee. The tropical feel would bring an amazing touch of uniqueness to the summer outings.

  • WaltherP99 says:

Kajal Perfumes development is absolutely remarkable and their future is bright with Moe Khalaf being the captain of the ship. In my opinion they do everything right, top presentations , original and sophisticated fragrances made with highest quality ingredients, performance is great too. I know all of Kajal fragrances excluding Kolada , and if I have to rate my favorite ones depending on my mood
    1.Lamar/ ÄICAN
    2. Almaz / Dahab
    3. Kajal IV / Ruby
By the way is it just me, or Moe Khalaf is only working with dedicated, and motivated positive people? Toni Cabal is awesome, I know a few of the fragrances he composed for his own brand,l.
Kolada in my opinion was one the most anticipated fragrance in the community ever since Kajal started teasing us on Instagram. Because of all fragrances that came before people’s expectations for Kolada are through the roof . Imo Moe and Toni Cabal were able to find a way to Ideally match the pineapple, lili of the valley, coconut milk ,violets and a few pinã colada drinks, lingering trail i can’t wait to try.

Anyone else? The first thing that came to mind when I read Olya article and saw the pictures.
Moe Khalaf colorful personality only helps him move forward , I love the way he methodically plans every single detail of the future Kajal releases. The 4 Kajal fragrances I’m familiar with are Dahab, III, IV and ÄICAN.
From Instagram and now verified by a cocktail connoisseur like Olya i’m aware that Kolada is considered by many to be one of the best tropical released . Smelling both good and unique is a must , especially when there’s good music , gentle wind , tropical vibrancy and piña colada
The scent profile includes succulent pineapple, a coconut milk and floral tones like violet and lili of the valley all so pleasing , not to mention how enthusiastic Olya is in her review.
What actually moved me today is not just Kolada sophisticated delicious and jolly smell, but the whole experience , the color scheme design of the bottle and cap surprised me in a good way.
