 In 2011, François Hénin, the “Ambassador” of Rare Niche perfumes opened his first boutique, at 4 Rue de Castiglione,  just a stone’s throw away from the prestigious Place Vendôme, THE place for fine jewelry in Paris. Immediately, Jovoy, the niche boutique and the brand became the buzz of perfumistas worldwide.  Jovoy offered just over 20 brands from its one location… by 2020 there are 7 Jovoy stores-France, London, UAE, and Qatar offering close to 120 brands online.

Several weeks before COVID- 19 locked down most of the world, I wrote to François  for a short quote to use for our tenth anniversary and he wrote me back the same day.

” I always compare Cafleurebon as a lighthouse for all us perfume lovers.  One would easily get lost in the tsunami of news and launches we have every year….If I am not wrong there are more than 10 new perfumes being launched every day!!?I do have a big nose, but I do not have the courage despite my passion for perfumes to go through all of them… This is why Cafleurebon has become and will remain a reference when I want to know more. As a perfume lover myself, and a perfume store specialized in the retail of hard to find “niche” perfumes .. Cafleurebon’s talents in describing fragrances are a reference for me and my teams. I correspond with François from time to time, to nose around, to show him the articles we write or video reviews for the Jovoy brand (he wrote that he was impressed with Sr. Contributor dana sandu’s La Liturgies des Heures). Earlier today,  April 17th, he wrote me with good news …. www.jovoyparis.com is back and delivering worldwide.
