Jeroboam UNUE Fragrance review (Vanina Murraciole) + Selfridges London Exclusive draw

Jeroboam UNUE REVIEW

Jeroboam UNUE via instagram

Since ÇaFleureBon first began reviewing the brand, a number of readers have emailed me and asked what does “Jeroboam” mean? I was snooping around the Jovoy booth at Esxence 2015 (when the flacon was still a prototype) and learned from Francois Henin that Jeroboam is derived from Esperanto, (created as a global language in the late 1880s; think of it like you would Star Trek’s Universal Translator). UNUE means “the first” in Esperanto. I wrote to founder François Hénin in preparation for Sebastian’s review and asked him to share his insights into Jeroboam UNUE.

“When we launched the Jeroboam brand, a department store in London took a chance and stocked it…. and this is where the success story started for us. We had been working hard with Vanina Murraciole to make UNUE a total worldwide exclusive for Selfridges London I don’t even know when I will be allowed to have it the Jovoy stores 🙂 This is the first time ever did an exclusive with a department store and thanks to the complicity and professionalism of the buying team, we chose the color, the name, the fragrance with them and now despite the Covid, Selfridges has launched Jeroboam Unue a few days, weeks ago. But it is not because we are at Harrods, Harvey Nichols …. that we forget our first love with Selfridges, so we are very proud to launch Jeroboam Unue , worldwide exclusive  only to them.

About Jeroboam UNUE, it is of course an extrait like all Jeroboam perfumes, and the goal was to make a newer version of Origino but much more sensual and warm. Now, of course, if you compare Origino to UNUE you will get the perfumer’s intention right away. One is rather cold and somehow woody, clean and a bit salty and UNUE is warm, slightly mouthwatering by comparison and sensual.” – François Hénin, Owner of Jovoy Paris Parfums Rares, creative director for Jovoy Paris fragrances and Jeroboam extraits.

Top notes: Italian Bergamot, Pineapple, Pink Berries and Anise
Heart notes: Plum, Egyptian Jasmine and Ylang Ylang
Base notes: Australian Sandalwood, Enigmatic Musks and Patchouli

In June 2020, Editor Sebastian Jara reviewed Gozo, and today he reviews Jeroboam UNUE. The bottle is white; again a departure form the brand’s signature black. Editor’s note: Thank you to Francois for affording our readers and viewers this opportunity.

  • Sebastian says it has very authentic feeling musk. It is also better suited to intimate encounters and not too loud which might overwhelm wearer and other people. USA

  • Valentina says:

I am familiad with Jeroboam, I love the fact that they use only extracts, I love their elegant bottles (black orange or white). I liked the story from this review. I live in EU.

  • I saw Sebastians notification on this and was immediately taken – had to watch it on the spot lol… for some reason this house has an “energetic” musk that I haven’t found elsewhere and I have vespero and origino currently – they are very bold. This sounds perfect with the “clean” aspect and I would love to win this in the USA – NY

  • Never heard of this house Jeroboam but have heard of Jovoy which I have some fragrances. I love fruity fragrances with plum being one of my favorite notes. Sebastian reviews are on point and I love his recommendations. It has not steered me wrong yet. Thanks for the giveaway. From the US.

  • I always love Sebastian’s reviews becuase of how well he describes a fragrance. I can tell he has amazing knowledge on perfume and it showed once again in his review of Jeroboam Unue. What I enjoyed the most about Michelyn’s introducing feat. Francois Henin is how Francois Henin was explaining some inspiration for the fragrance compared to the other Jeroboam releases. I would like to enter this giveaway. I live in the United States (Louisville, KY) (YouTube: 502 Fragrance Reviews)

  • abbie road says:

so gorgeous. what I enjoyed most about Sebastian’s review is his brilliant journalism to share all the fun details on the brand/fragrance. I love musk. I love that Michelyn wrote the founder of the brand! I live in the USA.

  • Top notes: Italian Bergamot, Pineapple, Pink Berries and Anise
Heart notes: Plum, Egyptian Jasmine and Ylang Ylang
Base notes: Australian Sandalwood, Enigmatic Musks and Patchouli. A beautiful description by Sebastian especially saying that the fragrance doesn’t scream and sits closer to the skin. Thanks a lot from the United Kingdom

  • andypanayiotou27 says:

Sebastian’s reviews are always a delight. I especially enjoyed hearing about how the musks came through the fragrance.
François Hénin’s intention to create a mouthwatering scent also peaked my interest with the fruit notes that ended up in the fragrance. Although familiar with the brand, I haven’t had the chance to smell any yet.

I’m currently living in Cyprus (EU).

  • Steliyan Syarov says:

Thank you Sebastian for the great review. I’m very intrigued how the musk comes out with those fruity notes. I’m from EU.

  • Selfridges was the first people to stock Jeroboam intrigued by Francois Henin stories. This is a house that I am not familiar with but I am intrigued by the notes especially patchouli and musk. Thanks a lot from the United Kingdom

  • I like how Sebastian describes it as a subtle musk scent that sits close to the skin. The notes sound so beautiful as well, with musk, jasmine and the subtleties of the fruity plum and pineapple playing off each other. Well balanced!
    Love, from the UK.

  • Russell Johnson III says:

I love musky scents especially as we are approaching fall in a couple months. The fact that it is fruity on too of musky makes it all the more mouthwatering as Hénin describes it. I have had other 30ml niche bottles which are expensive but they are so strong that one only needs a couple sprays to last all day (Nasomatto comes to mind). I look forward to trying this as it just sounds so divine and sexy.

  • Interesting to learn Selfridges first took a chance on stocking Jeroboam. Interesting review by Sebastian saying that it is not a loud fragrance but needs to be appreciated from a closer encounter. I am intrigued by the notes especially patchouli and musk being my favourite. Thanks a million from the United Kingdom

  • Shamrock1313 says:

Always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews and this just screams perfect late Summer/Fall to me. Musk and Plum – woo hoo lol.
Haven’t tried the house, but have always heard great things.
    Thanks for the giveaway

  • I’ve heard of Esperanto, the global language. But, I didn’t know that Jeroboam was derived from it. I haven’t tried any fragrances from this brand. Unue sounds fruity, and I like plums, so please count me in on the giveaway. Mich USA

  • Lee A Smith Jr says:

I really enjoyed this video because it introduced me to a house i did not know. The notion of fruity musk is intriguing. It reminded me of Hacivat which I love. Sebastian also introduced me to Nishane.

  • I was not familiar with Jeroboam. I love Sebastian’s reviews as he gives such a good description of notes. Unue sounds like an intriguing perfume and a delightful fruity musks. I am in the US

  • OMG! The notes in this perfume sounds like heaven, especially when Sebastian described it lol. Jasmine, musk and ylang ylang? Yes please! I would love to try this one. From US

  • Love the way this has been described by Sebastian! Fruity musky and subtle … i love those subtle scents that deliver. NOT all fragrances have to project and be loud to be appreciated. Same applies to performance and longevity. My favourite note is sandalwood and I can tell this one is going to be gooooood. Peace and blessings from Ifty from London

  • I always trust Sebastian’s reviews, I bought some fragrances thanks to his video and they always being great ! I never tried a Jeroboam perfume so I really wish to win the giveaway. The notes of UNUE are really interesting and I love the story about Selfridges. I’m from UE (Italy).

    Thank you !

  • Alexander says:

The way Sebastian described it as a clean, musky fragrance that lies close to the skin really piqued my curiosity. Wasn’t familiar with Jeroboam but I’m interested in hearing more. I’m from Belgium EU.

  • I have no access to this fragrance that sounds exquisite. 30ml parfums definitely are welcome. It’s like any form of concentrated liquid. The color, creamy, hmmm, so mysterious and lovely. Big thanks to Francois Henin/Jovoy! I’d love to try this, especially since it sounds like something that will greatly increase the spirits of the staying-in/at home during this pandemic experience, overall! – TJ (Texas)

  • I’m interested in this subtle but intense fragrance, as Sebastian put it. The marriage of indolic jasmine, musk and fruity touches sounds beautiful. I also love the bottle; it has a simple luxury feel to it. I have never smelled a Jeroboam scent. USA

  • phoenixad says:

So unue means the first. I thought it would be something like that since one is uno un etc in some languages. I hope i win this cause i dont have the ability to try it since it is a Selfridges exclusive. Thats a pity since im into this kind of releases as Sebastian mentioned a close to the skin wearable musk. Thanks for the opportunity.

  • João Martins says:

I have a couple of samples from this brand and love them. Would love to get to know this one too. Sounds delicious to me.

    I live in EU.

  • Aaron Gunarich says:

Gotta love the chance to possibly own a new fragrance. Some Jeroboam fragrances have caught my eye but I have never pulled the trigger. It would be nice to expand my collection with this type of scent.

  • I love Sebastian’s fragrance reviews. I watch them daily and appreciate how he describes not only the scent but the experience of wearing it. Having sampled and subsequently bought many fragrances based on his reviews, I trust his descriptions. In the case of Jeroboam Unue, I’m very excited to try it based on the balance of authentic musk and fruit he spoke of. I enjoyed Michelyn’s introduction. Because fragrance is such a subjectively evocative experience, I always like reading about their creation and the intentions behind them, as François Hénin shares with us here. I live in Upstate New York and am familiar with Jeroboam fragrances only through reviews, though I own and adore several Jovoy fragrances.

  • MarieBurke says:

I love Sebastian’s review, as he goes into detail about the different notes and they translate on the skin. This is the first time I’ve heard of Jeroboam and I can’t wait to do further research about this perfume house. UK

  • dextercharles85 says:

Unue sounds like a great musk fragrance. Ive been on a musk hunt as of lately and would love to tey this one, possibly even win it. How Sebastian described the feel of Unue as subtle but present with the musk being the major player. Fruity musk that lingers, yes def need this.

  • Hashim Madani says:

The indolic jasmine and musk combination Sebastian describes sound wonderful. I’m assuming the mouthwatering effect described in Michelyn’s intro is coming from the bergamot-pineapple combination. I’m in love with Jeroboam Boha, can’t get enough of it. VA, USA.

  • Amanda32828 says:

Like always great review. The notes, musk, sandalwood and floral and fruity touches as described by Sebastian they sound like a really exotic elixir. I have only know about this brand via Cafleurebon and Sebastian reviews. Thank for another awesome review. I’m commenting from Orlando, Fl. USA.

  • judesis ilangilang says:

I love the notes in this. So excited. 30 ml is a good size can actually put it in pocket.

  • Great review by Sebastien. I like the combination of notes, and the focus on musk Sebastien mentions is interesting. As well as the fact that it is not a super projector. The introduction mentions “mouthwatering” which is always a plus side when I smell a fragrance. Thanks for offering the giveaway. WA state.

  • Michael P. says:

Enjoy watching because I learn so much from Sebastian, especially on houses that I really know nothing about and have now peaked my curiosity. Would love to win a bottle of Unue and try this amazing fragrance. USA

  • As always Sebastian gives the viewer’s perfect image of them perfume. You almost can smell it in the end of the review.
    Never heard of this house.
    Israel

  • Thanks for the nice info about Jeroboam and Unue names meaning, very interesting. I’ve only tried Oriento from the house of Jeroboam and i enjoyed it a lot, a well done rose note. This new Unue has some great notes list, especially the plum note which i’m a big fan, and i would love to try it. Great job from Sebastian as always. Thanks for the draw, i’m in the EU.

  • I really enjoy sebastian review on fragrance, even though I never try jeroboam only hear about it. His review always make you want to buy the fragrance. The author of this review translate the name of perfume mean the first sound like a very intimate perfume that use on dates. Living in USA

  • Trinity33 says:

I don’t think I’ve ever come across a product named in Esperanto before! I love Sebastian’s description of the fragrance with the jasmine and musk prominently featured. The addition of the pineapple, berries and anise sound fun and make it appropriate for warmer weather. I’ve not tried any Jeroboam scents before. Commenting from MD, USA.

  • I first learned about Jeroboam from Sebastian’s ranking video of vanilla fragrances. Although I have not sampled this scent, or any others from the brand, Sebastian’s description was very nice. I am particularly interested in the Italian bergamot and pineapple top notes. I also tend to like scents that sit closer to the skin, since it makes them feel more personal. I liked the discussion (in Michelyn’s introduction) of the language from where the name is derived. I often think the names of perfumes influences us as well. I would love to try this. From the USA.

  • Kelsey Jankowski says:

Sebastian made a remark on how the musk smells authentic. I haven’t tried anything other than clean musks. I’d really enjoy getting to experience that.

  • Daniel lopez says:

This perfume looks amazing! I want to get my hands on something new and fresh so hopefully I get the chance to check it out through this draw. Thank you Sebastian for the amazing review! (From U.S.A)

  • isaaclopedia says:

I only started hearing about this house from this website and from Sebastian’s channel, but I’ve never had the good fortune to actually smell them! I love the way Sebastian describes fragrances so vividly. If Sebastian says it’s sexy, I want it! It’s so nice to hear Francois’ story about being given a chance by selfridges, as chances like that are so rare. It’s cool that Unue is a selfridges exclusive, paying respects to their generosity. Great story!

  • I enjoy Sebastian’s reviews very much. It is like Perfumes Netflix! His channel lead me here – to a new Promised Land 🙂
I live in a tiny but very beautiful country Lithuania. The creator of Esperanto Ludwig Zamenghoff used to live here. Thank you for the review about Unue. I’ve never heard about Jeroboam, Jovoy little sister.

  • chrisskins says:

These last two orange and white bottles are killer – so darling! I know that that is not the raison d’etre but how darn cute. Musk gets me the best reactions and a fruity (pineapple ohgod) , Jasmine, sandalwood, patch quiet skinscent – the description is truly holy grail territory. Sort of a quiet, “Hello Stranger. I’m interesting.” I learned about Jeroboam from Sebastian’s site and so glad they are having an excellent run! I live in the USA.

  • Logan Shumway says:

I love Sebastian’s review he describes the fragrance in such detail that i can only imagine how great this fragrance is! Never heard of Jeroboam but can’t wait to see what else they have. US

  • I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews. The top & middle notes really call to me on this one. I really need to get my nose on this line. Thanks for the review!!

  • Sebastian is a witch of words when it comes to describe the scent, which is one of the most dfficult things to do. Perfume is my language, and it it will be a chance for me, I am happily looking forwards to adding this new beautiful word (this perfume) to my dictionary. I live in the UK

  • What I enjoyed most about Sebastian’s review was how it balanced both personal experience of the fragrance and the houses intentions behind it , also musk? Yes please!

And I enjoyed Michelyn’s introduction and her conversation with francois. It’s not often you get the perfumers views on the scent. You usually get a write up from the house so this was great to learn about.

I’m familiar with most of their line as I smelled then I’m jovoy. Incredible creations.

  • After watching Sebastian’s review I wondered about the meaning of UNUE, before reading it in the introductory article I found the answer on Google: First. Reading the notes it seems to me that the concept of “the origin” is more appropriate: essential notes mixed with exotic but without artifices, without pretensions, a composition that more than adorn (lie), exalts the natural aroma of whoever wears it. I imagine the “mischievous” look of my girlfriend to smell this on me… I want it! Greetings from Florida

  • Thank you Sebastian and Michelyn for the review and the introduction. It’s nice that Unue was created to honor “the first love” 🙂 I’ve rather enjoyed clean musky fragrances so this sounds like a very good match. I also like that it is not loud. I’m in USA

  • Bryant Worley says:

I liked Sebastian’s explanation that the fragrance will be a good close encounter fragrance that won’t be offensive in the least. Also, I liked that Michelyn included Henin’s glee-filled words, showing his passion for the fragrance.

My only familiarity with Jeroboam is through Sebastian’s reviews. I live in Waldorf, MD, USA.

  • I actually had the same question regarding what Jeroboam means so Michelyn’s introduction was helpful in answering that for me. I liked Sebastian’s description of the fragrance as subtle but also intense in a way and long-lasting. The top notes of pineapple plus bergamot make this sound fantastic as well. Not familiar with Jeroboam but thanks for the introduction to this brand. I live in the US.

  • I love a musk scent and the fact they just use extracts. The bottle looks lovely as well, would love to try this! Living in the EU

  • I love the bottle. It gives me the impression that inside is something milky, soft and delicate. A fragile liquid that cries to be released onto the skin. I am in EU. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity!

  • Mohammed Riyazuddin says:

I trust Sebastian’s recommendations, he said its an authentic musk. Im very interested in this one.

  • I love Sebastian’s description of close to skin musk. It’s always nice to hear a comparison between different perfumes from the same line from the creative director.
    I’m in EU, Slovenia.

  • NiceVULady says:

Sebastian is always interesting to listen to regarding notes and construction of the perfume. Michelyn’s intro was most informative as to the origin of the name and some of Mr. Henin’s insights. It sounds really warm and inviting. Thank you so much for both sets of remarks and thank you to Mr. Henin for this marvelous draw. I’m in the USA

  • I have not tried any from this house, but I am always curious about musk, and if Sebastian vouches for it as being great, then it should be great! I take his word for it!

I have never tried any Jeroboam perfume and this one seems right up my alley. I’m not really keen on loud fragrances and according to Sebastian’s description, it sits close to the skin.
Many thanks for this draw. I live in France

  • Given that I love musk , I believe this must be a great fragrance for me. One of my favorite musk fragrance is No 5 by Rosendo Mateu which is a floral musk. Unue is a floral fruity musk? Count me in!!
I already own vespero from the brand and I must say that Jeroboam is making quality fragrances.
    I live in Athens Greece

  • Mouthwatering, warm and clean are the words of Sebastian and Francois that keep repeating themselves in my head. As a musk lover I’m triggered, especially since it’s long lasting musk. Belgium.

  • Andrei-Cristian Radescu says:

I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews becuase of his knowledge on perfume and it was showed once again in his review of Jeroboam Unue.
What I enjoyed the most about Michelyn’s introducing feat. Francois Henin is how Francois Henin explained the inspiration for the fragrance compared to the other Jeroboam releases.
I’m familiar with the Insulo fragrance from Jeroboam. Quite interesting house.

Intrigued by the fruity mush combo. Sebastian always does comprehensive reviews.

  • I like the recent departures from the normal black bottles the orange and now white look so great in conjunction with all the black bottles. I loves Aebastians description as well a fruity musk with prevalent jasmine and sandalwood sounds wonderful and I’ve been looking at fragrances similar to this so I’d love to win it. It was also cool to learn about the origin of where the name comes from and why as well as UNUEwaning first due to the relationship with Selfridges. I also liked that Michelyn in her introduction got the quote from Francois Henin about this being similar to Origino but also how they’re different. Thanks so much for the generous draw. I’m in the U.S. and would love to try this exclusive perfume.

  • Greetings from (Czecho)Slovakia! We recently bought and reviewed Jeroboam´s Ligno at Frangipani.cz and totally fell in love with the scent. Sebastian’s mention of “sexy fruity musk” sounds extremly attractive and would be a great pleasure to introduce this beauty to the niche perfume enthusiast community in the Czech and Slovak Republic!

  • wandering_nose says:

I am amazed by Sebastian immense perfume knowledge, he has become one of my absolute gurus. His review painted a picture in my mind of exactly how I want to smell when taking a detour from the heavy orientals and gourmands which are my usual jam. The idea of a mouthwatering musky deliciousness described by Francois Henin speaks to me big time too. I have first heard about the brand when Sebastian reviewed Gozo, and have been dreaming of trying their creations since. Commenting from Ireland.

  • I haven ‘t tested anything from Jeroboam yet. I really enjoyed the way in which Sebastian described Unue (“unu” in my language means “one”), and the combination of musk with creamy sandalwood and some floral touches sounds really interesting to me. Francois Henin’s description is also very enticing: “woody, clean and a bit salty” sounds wonderful. That is why I would really like to test this one.
    I live in Romania, EU.

  • Cool bottle! I wonder what colour will be next? Perhaps a neon red to match with the orange already existing? Thanks Mr. Henin and Sebastian for the chance and for the review. I have not tested anything from this house, but musk, santal and all the big flowers in it sound very much right up my alley.

I am not familiar with Jeroboam but I’ve been discovering a lot of niche brands through samples and discovery sets lately and Jeroboam is definitely on my list! I love how Sebastian explains that is is a subtle intimate fragrance rather than a nuclear fragrance. I live in the USA.

  • Nice video 🙂 I like all the ingredients and never smelled this house before. I would love to change that.
Thank you although for the translation, Esperanto is fun 🙂

  • A woody-fruity-musky fragrance (with emphasis on the musk) that is in the extrait concentration? Count me in. Also, this must be the first ever scent that is named using the Esperanto language? All I would say is, “dankon” to Sebastian for his review – “dankon” means “thank you” in Esperanto. I’m based in the US.

  • Now I know the origin of the “Jeroboam” name. I am a lover of musk and pineapple so this sounds rather unique. Wasn’t familiar with Jeroboam until today. US

  • ooh, this sounds lovely, again loved Sebastian’s review, and the warn and fruity nature, and the bottle is beautiful! I would love to find a musk that works on my skin! thank you Sebastian (as always) for the lovely review, and I enjoyed learning about the Esperanto influences in this line. Thank you so much for the draw. In the US.

  • I thought Jereboam was just a name, without any meaning behind it. Thanks for checking with the perfumer!
Sebastian always perfectly explains what to expect from a new fragrance. I know blind-buying is mostly discouraged, but the fragrances I’ve bought after one of his positive reviews have been spot on so far.

My bottle of Jeraboam’s Vespero is sadly used up and I am thinking about buying another bottle as I am starting to miss this sexy scent from my collection.

The parent company I know, Psychedelique is beyond gorgeous, one of the best patchouli scents ever , but Jeroboam is new to me. Musky fragrance with lots of fruits and some woods I would like to experience.
Selfridges helped them at first, and now Jeroboam is returning the favor 🙂
    Top giveaway , thanks.

  • Wow. Esperanto. I haven’t thought about that in a long time, thanks for reminding me Michelyn. An universal language is a fun idea! With the jasmine, ylang ylang and patchouli, it looks like it would be a very loud fragrance. But Sebastian says that it isn’t. And I love that. I have not tried any Jeroboam fragrances, Unue looks great! I am in the US.

  • Sagar Shah says:

Musk, Oakmoss, Patchouli and Musk+Sandalwood are my favorite fragrance notes.
Mainly I CRAVE for MUSK. And he said it acts really musky on hum and if anyone’s musk lover, they should check this out. This is why I wanna try this Musky Cologne.
Also: Since it has pineapple and musk and patchouli, I think this would develop like Creed Aventus and Nishane Hacivat which are by far my BEST colognes

  • What I love about the review is the way Mr Jara presents the subtle notes, yet in an intense way.I’d love to try a pinapple fragrance for the summer, and this one hits all the notes I like.I’ve never tried a Jeroboam fragrance.I live in UE
    Thank you for this opportunity!

  • I very like the video review. I’m not familiar with Jeroboam, but it sounds amazing. Thank you for the chance. I live in Europe.

  • It was interesting to hear in Michelyn’s intro about UNUE being an Esperanto word, and the idea behind having Jeroboam Unue in Selfridges stores, as per the quote by Froncois Henin. Haven’t tried Jeroboam or Jovoy fragrances, yet. Enjoyed Sebastian’s review as usual. Unue seems to be a beautiful fragrance – what a pity it doesn’t scream and one has to get close enough to enjoy the subtle qualities of musk, sandalwood, jasmine and other wonderful notes (hopefully the pandemic will be a thing of the past and physical distancing of 2 meters will go away, but until then, Unue seems perfect for close encounters of all kinds). Thanks for the review and the draw. Writing from the USA.

  • I loved Sebastian’s review!! This sounds comforting as Sebastian describes it as a clean, musk scent. He says the musk is very authentic. And I love that it’s an exclusive for Selfridges. Plus, I’ve never tried anything by Jeroboam.
    I live in the US.

  • SivaScents says:

My favourite thing about Sebastian’s review is what I enjoy most about most of his videos. Not only does he describe how the fragrance smells so well, but he also describes the whole experience of wearing the fragrance in such detail that you could almost imagine wearing the fragrance yourself. With Michelyn’s introduction, I really enjoyed the context that the founder of Jeroboam’s response provides to the fragrance. Seeing Sebastian’s review on my YouTube feed is the first time I had heard of this house so I am not familiar but seems like one worth exploring! (UK)

  • Shannon Gaines says:

Greetings from Lexington, Kentucky USA! I really liked Sebastian’s description of the musk in this fragrance. I am a huge lover of musk so that definitely caught my attention. I also like how Michelyn highlighted that the name means first and how Jeroboam was basically paying homage to Selfridges for being the first taking a chance on an unknown brand.

  • Great in depth reviews from Sebastian and it is very clear it he is very knowledgeable. I like how Francois explained the inspiration behind his fragrances. I love jeroboam and plan to add more to my collection, maybe Oriento next. From the UK.

I would love to try Jeroboam Unue because of what Seb said about it being a ‘clean musk’. I love musks and clean fragrances but I don’t know if I’ve ever smelled something that is both of those things at once and would be fascinated to do so! Hoping you will include Canada in the list of shipping options 🙂

  • Lovely introduction written by Michelyn who provided interesting highlights about the line and the fragrance itself. And very nice review by Sebastian! I really enjoy musk fragrances so I am very curious to try this one, which would be my first from the line. I am in the USA.

  • In Sebastian’s video It’s the fruity musk that he mentions that captured my attention primarily, but then he mentioned if “you like the experience of someone getting close to you” and that sounds like me. The thought of bringing someone close into you while wearing musk that certifies a masculine vibe but the fruityness that could put someone with feminine energy at the ease of knowing their welcomed is exactly why I desire to have this fragrance on my person.

  • Not familiar with the house but I would like to try it out. I love that Sebastian said the musk feels very authentic. And the fact that his review is always so informative. ‘UNUE is warm, slightly mouthwatering by comparison and sensual’ makes me so intrigued!

  • Haven’t got the chance to try Jeroboam yet. Been wanting to try Vespero. UNUE sounds nice. A fruity musk that’s light. I’d like to try this. Thanks, Ca

  • Looking forward to winning this the review from Sebastian was great. Excited to have this and that the review of plum, pineapple, anise, jazmine, sandalwood, an amazing musk.

Its the first time I hear about this brand from Sebastians. I love to try it. I live in EU

  • A sensual, fruity musk that isn’t too loud sounds very appealing. I thoroughly enjoyed Sebastian’s review, clear, precise and descriptive as always.
And it was very interesting to learn about the Esperanto inspiration in Jeroboam creations from Michelyn’s introduction. Esperanto was a language I was interested in as a child, but didn’t try too hard to learn it.
I am in the EU and have never tried Jeroboam perfumes.

  • patrick_348 says:

I liked how Sebastian’s review made it clear that there are times when you don’t want a perfume with huge projection and I am attracted to Unue because of this tasteful, understated attitude. I was interested to hear of Henin’s loyalty to Selfridge’s and would love to hear more about his choosing Esperanto to name his fragrances. I am in the US, in North Carolina, and have never experienced a Jeroboam fragrance.

  • d3m0lici0n says:

Not to loud is good, and the base notes of musk, sandalwood and patchouli sounds fabulous. I really like the bottle and I like that they are extraits. Not familiar with the house but I’d love to win this one.
    I live in the US
    Thanks.

  • I like knowing the history of the brand, I didn’t know it’s owned by Jovoy. I like that it’s an extrait, I really like how the bottle looks and I like that it has clean musks. I wonder how it smells.
I’m familiar only with the reviews of Jeroboam perfumes, but it’s reasonably priced, so I would like to try them.
    I live in Romania.

Thank you for the great review Sebastian. Thanks to Michelyns Introduction, I learnt about the existence of Esperanto – something that I had no idea about.

I like the bottles of these perfumes, but it is hard for me to imagine the scent based on the notes and the review. I enjoy the idea of the dichotomy that this fragrance offers, in comparison to the original.

I haven;t had the fortune of smelling tthis brand before.

    Cheers from WI, USA

I’ve only tried Jovoy- pavilion rouge from this house and I love it; reminds me of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Would be interested to try another.

  • Loved the explanation about why Jeroboam launched UNUE only at Selfridges [and the esperanto touch :)))].
Sebastian reviewed this fragrance so nice, nuancing the subtlety of the fragrance, being simultaneously long lasting.
White, clean, musk – what’s not to like?
I only know Insulo, but would love to know more.
    I am in EU.

  • I loved listening to Sebastian describing this musky and fruity scent. A “skin Scent” that sounds so beautiful. Sometimes, a Sebastian says you want a fragrance that doesn’t jump out and remains on your skin. It was also interesting on Michelyn’s part of the review, describing Esperanto, a new language starting in 1880’s. I have a sample of Jeraboam Insulo, which I love. USA

  • WaltherP99 says:

Inue musky and fruity combination is perfect for the summer weather. Happy and fun smell 🙂
Selfridges deal is not a surprise, if someone helped you before, you should return the favor.
I’m familiar with all Jeroboam fragrance, excluding the two 2020 releases Gozo and Unue.
To me the best Jeroboam fragrances are the famous Insulo, and also Oriento .Thanks

Sebastian‘s reviews always inspire me to new purchases, like this one. I love Musik and its freshness, thanks for the draw, I live in the EU,

In my quarantine, I have usually been wearing big screaming fragrances, but UNUE’s subtlety sounds comforting. I like the idea of musks, sandalwood, and plum playing soft yet effective roles. I also like the size of the bottle. I haven’t tried anything from Jeroboam. I live in the USA.

  • Jake Dauod says:

I love how Sebastian does a great job of describing every aspect of the fragrance because it gives me a great idea of what the fragrance smells like. For Michelyn’s introduction, I like that she gave a tiny peak of how this fragrance is exclusive to Selfridges. I am familiar with this brand, yet I have not smelled one of their fragrances before. Kind regards from Illinois, USA.

  • I love how Sebastian describes it as a authentic musk that sits closer to the skin. Unue is also the warmer more sensual cousin to origino according to Francois Henin, which makes it sound beautiful. I live in the UK! Thank you for the opportunity.

  • Coming directly from Sebastian’s Channel! I’m not familiar with the brand but the aesthetics and compatibility spoke to me as well as note Composition. I love the white, compact bottle yet the scent is longer lasting. Really liked how Sebastian showcased it. I love floral notes and this is a woody floral. The anise note is interesting. Would love to get my nose on it!

I enjoyed Michelyn’ Introduction about Jeroboam and her interview with Francois Henin of Jovoy on the history of Jeroboam. I loved Sebastian’s review on Jeroboam’s newest release Unue. I like a fruity musky fragrance. I like the fact that this one doesn’t project as loud and gives the wearer a personal and more intimate experience, but still delivers in longevity so it can be enjoyed all day without reapplying. I am familiar with the Jeroboam fragrances Sebastian has reviewed such as Gozo. I am from the USA.

  • JoeFrank9 says:

I remember liking Sebastian’s review on Gozo and I never tried a Jeroboam perfume so I really wish to win the giveaway. The notes of UNUE are really interesting and I love the story about Selfridges. Thanks for the draw I’m at the USA

  • I would like to try this fruit of collaboration between Jovoy , Selfridges and Vanina Muracciole .
Unue reminded me of really old British recipe for a cake with prunes , dates , anise and 3-4 tbsp treacle , at the end finely grated zest of unwaxed lemon . Pastry Chef in the house 🙂
I am familiar with Jeroboam, and to me Insulo is the best one. Top quality vanilla fragrance.
Appreciate the review, and the giveaway campaign.

  • Bright and happy is how I feel today, first day of the week 🙂
Why don’t I pair such days with sexy fruity musk fragrance like Unue?
I’m not familiar with Jeroboam, but I know Jovoy.
About the exclusivity deal, being loyal in uncommon in 2020 .
    Have a nice week everyone.

  • I enjoyed learning the origins of the names and how this line began, and the idea that the bottle describes the cleanness of the fruity musk.I’m not familiar with Jeroboam. I live in the USA

  • Everybody knows Jovoy if you’re a fragrance enthusiast, but Jeroboam I think not many know about. The fragrances is intriguing because it’s sexy and playful . Not sure why , but I’m thinking about a hit from the 90s by Right Said Fred “I’m Too Sexy”
    Thank you for the draw

Sampled a few Jovoy fragrances, and I think Les Jeux sont Faits was the best of the bunch , I’ll most likely get it for the autumn. Jeroboam I know very little about, other than Sebastian videos , and reviews on Cafleurebon.
Unue is sexy and seductive fragrance in a special bottle.
Esperanto is artificially created language in 19th century, all i can remember about it from my high school days .
    Exciting giveaway, USA

  • Not familiar with this brand at all so loved learning about it from Sebastian. The sleek bottle Aesthetics and compact design is lovely as well as the color stands out. Sebastian mentioned it’s extrait version so it’s a longer lasting perfume but best suited for close encounters which sounds right up my alley. I’m based in the US and appreciate this opportunity.

  • Bubeto_GG says:

Francois Henin do everything right, Jovoy is the best boutique worldwide, Jovoy fragrances are awesome, and Jeroboam project is different and successful.
Insulo stands out to me, and my taste.
Unique i expect to be well blended musk scent , with fruits and florals.
Selfridges do have a lot of exclusives from different niche brands, and i always go there if I’m in London, I know I’ll find fragrances i can’t get anywhere else.
Thanks Michelyn for the lovely intro, and Sebastian for the review.
Thankfully starting of next week, I’m getting back to my usual routine of back and forth between USA and Scotland, 1 week in US -> 1 week in Scotland, and so on. Finally …

  • Sebastian’s reviews are always great. I always enjoy how detailed he is in describing the fragrance and exactly which parts he enjoys. I also like how he describes how it wears and the enthusiasm on his face when he really enjoys one. Thanks also to Michelyn for the background and the interview snippet as I love hearing the story about how this fragrance came into being. I live in the USA. Thanks for the giveaway!

  • Shamefully I do not really have a fragrance that really features musk in my small but growing collection, so I am conceptually quite attracted to this. Also I like very much that Jeroboam as a brand has not forgotten their early adopters and have dedicated a fragrance to be sold exclusively at Selfridges. That’s a genuine “thank you for taking a gamble on us.” Lastly can we talk about that artwork? That vintage advert poster stile is just beautiful. Thank you for the giveaway! I am from Tennessee in the USA.
