There’s something undeniably magical about the aroma of freshly baked goodies. The scent transcends mere fragrance; it elicits cherished memories and paints a vivid tapestry of one’s childhood. Recently, I encountered a fragrance that perfectly expresses this nostalgia—Hez Parfums Brownie Points. This unique fragrance captures the essence of my grandmother’s kitchen and the joy of baking, making it an unexpected olfactory experience.

Hez Parfums Brownie Points unfurls from the first spray like a personal story. It opens with a luscious burst of strawberries, an invitation reminiscent of plump harvests from summer’s peak. This beautiful, vibrant beginning beckons you closer to a one-of-a-kind journey, leaving you intrigued and enchanted.

As Brownie Points develops, it reveals a rich cream undertone instantly drawing me back to my grandmother’s kitchen. I can almost envision her stirring batter in a bowl, the scent of cocoa wafting through the air, mingling with my childish questions. The luxurious chocolatey aroma forms a luscious base- decadent, intense, and comforting. There’s a whisper of satisfaction as chocolate syrup drizzles through, enhancing an already pleasant experience. This addition adds a syrupy sweetness that complements the brownie aspect, creating a mouthwatering temptation that is hard to resist. One can almost taste the prepared treats in this notes blend, waiting to be enjoyed. Yet, more complexity emerges. The playful, boozy, yet sophisticated undertow of cognac emerges, imparting a warm, spirited quality. This rich note adds depth, enhancing the encounter. Vanilla glides in next, serving as a tribute to sweet simplicity. It seamlessly merges with the other components, crafting a silky-smooth transition that stays on the skin long after the initial application. The long-lasting nature of this fragrance ensures that the sweet memories it evokes linger throughout the day, leaving you satisfied.

Brownie Points  evolves into its base, the grounding dry-down of incense, cedar, and sandalwood offers a serene closure. The incense adds a hint of mystique, creating an ambiance that brings stillness, while the cedar and sandalwood create balance against the sweet, creamy confectionery heart. These woody accords provide a richness that signifies the very core of every treasured memory. Finally, a gentle whisper of musk rounds out the delicious composition. Soft and subtle, it lingers quietly, leaving a trace reminiscent of fleeting moments. Like the echoes of laughter in my grandmother’s kitchen, the musk provides an enduring presence that connects the entire experience.

  • I like the way this seems to be balanced with the notes of the woods and incense added to the sweetness. Haven’t tried the house to have a fave. US

  • What’s not to like about a sweet escape with strawberries and chocolate. It’s a guilty free dessert anytime you want! I don’t have many strawberry fragrances and the mix of strawberries and chocolate make me salivate. I live in Ashburn, Virginia.

  • A good quality gourmand that has that sweetness but is refined and evolves in its dry down are the key points of Sandi’s review. The sweet notes of summer strawberries, decadent chocolate combined with the depth of cognac and vanilla paired the cedar, sandalwood to balance the sweetness. All combining to invoke the memories of childhood moments, of baking and family. This scent sounds amazing. I don’t have a particular favorite scent from this brand.

Who doesn’t love a gourmand fragrance, especially one made with chocolates a universally loved treat? I think this is the first time I hear about a brownie fragrance specifically, as there are many chocolate ones out now. Beyond just an indulgent sweet fragrance this is a scent to bring you back to your childhood and remind you of your mom baking you goodies in the morning. Something to start your day on the right mindset and with a cloud around you envelops you in a sweet heaven. I’m located in the USA.

  • Sandi’s review makes this perfume sound like an experience beyond just a scent—it’s like stepping into a warm, cozy kitchen filled with the smell of freshly baked brownies and sweet memories. The blend of strawberries, chocolate, and a hint of cognac sounds so unique and rich, like a mix of nostalgia and indulgence. The idea of a fragrance that’s both comforting and a little bit luxurious really sparks my interest—especially since I love everything about baking brownies!
I NEED this perfume in my life! I love baking (and eating!) brownies, and the way you describe it brings back such cozy memories. I’ve never tried anything from Hez Parfums, but a fragrance that’s like stepping into my kitchen during brownie-baking day? That sounds like pure heaven in a bottle!

I like the way Brownie Points can trigger a memory through its sweetness and woodsy base. Sounds unbelievable! I’ve never tried Hez Parfum but I’m interested! -New York, NY

  • The fragrance opens with juicy strawberry and whipped cream, leading to a heart of warm chocolate brownie and chocolate syrup, with a splash of cognac. This combination sounds like a delicious dessert in a bottle. I think this would be my favourite Hez perfume, I personally didn’t try any other ones. I live in Trzebnica, Poland, EU.

I can almost picture the molten center of this as it’s described so warmly and with such inviting nostalgia. Fragrances that can pull you back into nostalgia, especially from earlier times in our life are a caliber of fragrance that is so special because it evokes more than just a superficial warmth, it starts to move into our hearts a little, after our noses. This sounds deep, molten, and gentle all at the same time. I love incense scents and have recently realized how delicious cognac is in a fragrance and it sounds like it really complements the strawberry! I love strawberry in perfumes. I’ve only smelled Plum Confiture from Hez Parfums, but from what I’ve smelled, it is delicious.

  • Sandi’s review makes Hez Parfums Brownie Points sound like pure comfort in a bottle, capturing the cozy warmth of homemade brownies and nostalgic moments in the kitchen. The layers of strawberries, chocolate syrup, and a hint of cognac seem decadent yet grounded with incense, cedar, and musk—a perfect blend of sweetness and depth. It feels like an olfactory time capsule, inviting you to relive cherished memories with every spritz. I’m intrigued by how it combines familiar, comforting notes with an elegance that sounds truly unique!

Hello from Arkansas . This one according to the description from the reviewer sounds absolutely delicious!! Sounds like it may give the same experience as My favorite ,Banana Bread Banshee . Turn you into a snack and leave a scent trail that is totally stalker inducing!!!

This is my most favorite of Hez’s creations, I do not yet own a bottle, but it’s on my ever growing list. This review is spot on, it evokes memories of the kitchen with a matriarchal persona, making brownies from scratch. The base is just perfect for this fragrance, smooth and grounding. I’d love to add this to my modest collection. I live in Oregon.

I’m discovering Hez Parfums reading this review, so I don’t have a favourite from the brand..but I will check Rachel and Steven’s content on Banana Bread Banshee and Cafè Beignet..And hopefully win Brownie Points that appears to be so yummie and sophisticated.
I’d love to embark on the “heartfelt journey—a beautifully crafted homage to memories of baking, love, and family” that Sandi described!

Reading this review made me want a chocolate cake with chocolate cream, so I started to prepare it. I put it in the oven and make the cream, it smells delicious in my house! I am from Eu

  • My mouth was watering only by reading Sandi’s intriguing, yet sensitively written article.
Like in the story of Proust’s madeleine, scents catapult us into a certain period of our lives, and I agree the comforting scents of cooking and baking are some of the strongest and most nostalgic, taking us to a time and place of safety, warmth and love.
Brownie Points sounds absolutely delicious, with its blend of cocoa, cognac and vanilla, drying down to cedar, musk and sandalwood.
I was particularly enthusiastic about reading strawberry among the notes, and Sandi describing it as a luscious burst of berries in summer’s peak. I love the strawberry-choco combo and I hope it’s quite prominent here too.
I have never smeller a Hez Parfums release before.

  • I have never smelled a cologne that have predominant chocolate in it. I love gourdman fragances. Rich chocolatey aroma, creamy undertone and that playful cognac twist? I am very very into it.
I’m really hoping to win this giveaway. Fingers crossed. I live in the USA.

I’m a gourmand fan & the notes to Brownie Points is crazy. The chocolate syrup and cognac seems interesting. I’ve sampled a few of Hez’s creations. At some point I need to revisit them, I believe Bourbon St. was a stand out for me.

There’s a few I still haven’t tried yet but Brownie Points would be a nice addition to my collection especially during this season.

  • Well any perfume from a house I have not tried always intrigues me. I’m not much of a gourmandienne but I have my exceptions! I do love woods and if the fragrance has that toasty toasted dark chocolate cacao it could be wonderful… it sounds like a journey of memories as you say and that’s always fun in a fragrance! Thank you for the giveaway.

I’ve always been into Woody musk type fragrances but lately I’ve been really loving gourmands. This is a welcome break from the usual as I know this is niche and small batch. From what I know about the company they use high quality ingredients in a lot of naturals. The chocolatey decadence and sweetness of this is appealing and for that I would love to win from Jacksonville, North Carolina.

  • As someone who loves gourmands but not particularly fond of bakery sweet fragrances, it’s always interesting to see how perfumers balance the sugar. The addition of the cedar, sandalwood and musk seem to give an earthy base to the fruit, chocolate syrup and cream. The cognac gives a sophistication to the chocolate brownie heart. I would be really interested in seeing how this wears on the skin. I’ve not tried any Hez Parfum yet. MD, USA.

  • Strawberry and cocoa whipped into fresh batter is a fun opening for Brownie Points, but I’m more interested in the boozy transition to cognac and vanilla. The base of incense and cedar also add some dry complexity to balance out the sweets. Intriguing combination of sweet and woody.

I’m in the USA. I haven’t tried any Hez Parfum fragrances.

  • See fragrances like this is why I fell in love with gourmand scents in the first place. Sandi’s review on how it took her through a memory. not just a journey to being in her grandma’s kitchen is exactly where my mind went when she described it.

Sandi describes it as “A harmonious blend of sweet, creamy, and woody accords wrap around you, filling you with comfort and happiness.” and that’s what I’m looking for in a scent as the cold weather approaches and it also helps that brownies are my favorite

I live in Dallas, TX and I unfortunately do not own any fragrances from Hez Parfums. Hopefully this is the first.

  • I don’t think I’ve ever encountered a brownie note before! I love finding interesting gourmands, and that little bit of cognac along with the chocolate and strawberry sounds quite delicious. I have yet to try a Hez Parfum and am in USA.

  • This sounds like such a delicious, complex fragrance. I love that it has not just the chocolate, vanilla and wood notes but that it starts off with strawberry! It isn’t often you find that note in a perfume. The quote “homage to memories of baking, love, and family” is a perfect way to describe this!
    I live in the US.

  • This sounds awesome. I was just in San Francisco eating brownies that my 3 year old grandson helped his mom bake. No better combo than family, baking and love. My new favorite note is sandalwood and along with the incense this sounds like it doesn’t go overly sweet. I haven’t smelled anything from this line, but have seen reviews on YouTube for some of this line. Thanks for the chance. USA.

  • The nostalgia did it for me. It made me think of my mother’s homemade brownies. Reading this review actually brought the taste to my mouth. I want this so badly! I love how the description hints at a depth beyond the gourmand – and the note list looks both delicious and heady.
I’ve never tried a Hez perfume – this would be my first!
    I am in the U.S.

  • KrystalNicole says:

My favorite perfumes tend to be based around gourmand notes such as vanilla and chocolate so this one sounds right up my alley. I have tried many different types of chocolate fragrances from pure unsweet dark chocolate to white cocoa and ones that smell like nesquick powder to me, but I have never had a fragrance that is trying to come off as brownies and boy does that sound like a delicious addition I need to add to my life lol. I like how Sandi describes it so in depth and at one point says it’s like walking into a warm cozy kitchen. This sounds like a delight for this time of year. I have never tried or heard of Hez

I am in the USA, North Carolina. Thanks for the draw!

  • Michael Prince says:

I loved Sandi’s review of Hez Parfums Brownie Points. I love how Sandi is transported to her grandma’s kitchen where she used to bake chocolate brownies. This sounds like an amazing gourmand especially with the notes of strawberry cream, chocolate syrup, cognac, and incense. I’ve heard great things about Hez Parfums and all their offerings. My favorite fragrance from Hez Parfums is Banana Bread Banshee. I am from the USA.
