Inspired by the beloved New Orleans Café Du Monde, Hez Parfums Café Beignet transports us to this iconic coffee spot that has been serving classic beignets and café au lait since 1862.

An opening of photorealistic coffee lifts my spirits and gives me energy throughout the day. Cinnamon, brown sugar, and vanilla give a sweet nod to the delicious pastries found at Café Du Monde, especially the beignets. Irish and sandalwood create a dreamy scent bubble that surround me like the warm atmosphere of a NOLA afternoon. Cocoa and oud work their magic to draw out the deliciously sugared dry down, classy and glacé as a French pastry. Hez Parfums Café Beignet recently won the student favorite award (there were 50 +samples!!) for my own high school fragrance club! Notes: coffee, cinnamon, brown sugar, iris, vanilla, cocoa, sandalwood, oud

In a world filled with so many beautiful scents, I will always gravitate toward anything that smells like a dessert! Maybe it’s my love of sweets or really just how comforting it makes me feel. It smells like home. Cinnamon, brown sugar, and vanilla are definitely my kind of perfume. Thank you so much for the giveaway! Would love to wear this! It sounds amazing! I’m in US.

  • Darrell Doughty says:

I tried several of Hez’s awesome creations! I won a full bottle in a giveaway and this is the one I picked! And for whoever wins this one, it was an excellent choice!

  • Ronald Shepherd says:

I have not been to the big easy but I am intrigued by this fragrance with it’s coffee base. I may give it a try and I appreciate the info.

  • ThatMulattoDude says:

I’ve never been to New Orleans but have heard about the delicious beignets served at Café du Monde. I’m a humongous fan of sweet delicacies and coffee. Given Ms. Rachel’s description of the notes and scent story of this offering, it’s a no-brainer I’d dig this one. Really hope to win this giveaway; appreciate the generosity. Many blessings from Virginia, USA.

  • Ramses Perez says:

I drink multiple cups of coffee everyday so I love coffee and coffee driven fragrances. The presentation is also quite nice and doesn’t really give a coffee vibe, very artistic. I love beignets as well and this creation just sounds super delicious to me! Never knew about this brand until today so I’m excited what else they have to offer. Cheers from USA.

  • David Furman says:

This looks like a strong gourmand to wrap up the winter season. Sounds like a banger and lesser known as well. Would love to test this out from Jacksonville, NC.

  • AromaDulce73 says:

I’ve never been to New Orleans but definitely heard about Café Du Monde, especially their beignets. I love cinnamon, brown sugar and coffee notes together. I’m really getting into gourmands lately and this would be a great one to add to my collection.

  • Hello,
I was very interested in the perfume mentioned above. I recently watched Steven Gavrielatos review on YouTube and it got me interested in smelling and receiving this perfume; as I’m a coffee lover. I love how Steven mentioned that this perfume is more coffee center than just something in the background and that this is more of a sweet gourmand. Also I live in Connecticut, U.S.

  • I’m always interested by winter scents with iris/floral notes. It can be tough to pull off if mixed incorrectly because winter scents tend to be more intense, but this sounds really creative and Hez hasn’t steered me wrong yet! Great video!

  • I love coffee fragrances and I’ve had the pleasure of having coffee and beignets at Café du Monde. And Rachel’s review makes this fragrance sound wonderful. But maybe what most attracts me to Cafe Beignet is all the good things I’ve heard about Hez’s perfumes. I’d love to give this one a try. I’m in Oklahoma, USA.

  • Steven says the iris isn’t waxy which makes the chocolate, oud, and cinnamon combination sounds fantastic. I had the pleasure of going to Cafe du Monde years ago, and would love to try this perfume. In maryland.

  • Freddie Schindler says:

Coffee, chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla…ahhh. It’s intriguing to see how these elements combine to evoke the sense of grabbing a beignet and coffee (black, of course!) and enjoying the aura of the French Quarter. Our “home away from home,” having a scent to conjure the uniqueness of New Orleans is an immediate grab! Ordered samples of Cafe Beignet and Bourbon Street right after reading this! Cheers from Ohio!

  • Sounds like the exact coffee fragrance I’ve been craving! Always appreciate Steven’s in-depth reviews and now this one is on the wishlist!

  • I have Banana Bread Banshee and I received a sample of this with purchase. Oohhh, I immediately loved it!! Long lasting & that sample got me couple of compliments.

  • witness445@gmail.com says:

Besides the amazing notes listed, I absolutely love his choice of music being Matisyahu! As far as the fragrance, I’m a big fan of vanilla, Bourbon and coffee. I think these combined will be amazing and can’t wait to try them!
I live in Las Vegas, NV in the US!

  • milosbungler@gmail.com says:

Steven reviews are the best, he has this unique ability to explain to you exactly how it smells even though you have never tested it before yourself. I am sure it is the same with this coffee-based fragrance, I would love to test it.

  • Such a wonderful house. Nothing better than waking up to that fresh smell of coffee. Yup, that’s what this fragrance does in such an exquisite way.

  • recursivemask says:

Steven’s video and Rachel’s article paint a heavenly portrait of a gourmand. It seems like the perfect fragrance to wake up to in the morning. US.

  • Based on the review my interest is sparked because Hez Parfums Café Beignet recently won the student favorite award (there were 50 +samples!!) for Rachel’s own high school fragrance club! US

  • Elizabeth Hatton says:

I love Beignets! I am someone who has a hard time passing a window displaying pastries in a bakery or cafe and not stepping through the door to at least get closer to the smell of fresh baked goods. This sounds like an absolute dream. I love smelling more things I don’t get to smell as much in my own element, like Beignets, because the only place I know that does them nearby to me is a vegan donut shop for Fat Tuesday only, once a year. Sounds like a beautiful gourmand! From Portland, Or.

  • I didn’t have much luck finding a gourmand scent that I would be in love with and lately, I’ve been searching for a coffee note specifically. The way you described it I am already in love It would be very exciting to win and test the perfume ❤️

  • oliviatworkowsky says:

I absolutely love coffee, I love the scent of fresh coffee that has those delicious brown sugar, vanilla undertones, and the smell of baked goods and a coffee shop. It’s just such a nostalgic smell for me especially because I love baking! it has always been my dream to open my own shop!

  • I love the notes in this fragrance and I love how it exudes New Orleans pride! I ran through my sample (that I received with my Banana Banshee order) so I would LOVE to receive a full 50mL bottle! I’ve always wanted to visit New Orleans and this fragrance definitely just makes me want to visit even more!

  • Winning the students choice award?? Hey that’s an honor! The notes sound like a classic great gourmand and what’s not to love? In California thank you for the opportunity to win

  • Allan Berdine says:

Rachel is the best perfume writer in history. Its not even close. Im not blowing smoke…one time i heard her talk about a cardboard box and I went and bought 132 empty boxes blind!! Seriously though, Amazing review Rachel. Hez Binkowitz also rocks. Enter me please!

  • Yum! The scents and smells of Cafe du Monde, although I prefer Cafe Beignet when visiting NOLA. The cinnamon, vanilla and brown sugar give a good pastry vibe and the chocolate and oud remind me of some good chicory laced coffee. I’m in the US.

  • Coffee and cinnamon are notes I have been wanting to explore more! I love gourmands and have been following Hez for awhile but never tried their fragrances!
    NY, USA

  • These notes sounds promising and perfect for any time of day and I’m a lover of perfumes in general and this one caught my attention fully with the notes

  • I love gourmand fragrance and this one sounds heavenly. The notes that especially appeal to me here are the cinnamon, brown sugar, iris, and sandalwood. The concept of the fragrance is one that I love and the presentation is absolutely beautiful. Maryland, USA

  • That’s impressive to win out of 50 samples. Like that the cinnamon is balanced out by the chocolate. I’m not a fan of overly cinnamon fragrances. I’ve been to New Orleans and Cafe du Monde was a must go to place and it didn’t disappoint. Luckily I was wearing a white skirt as powdered sugar is everywhere! That photo is so yummy, I had plans and tickets to go back, but that was all cancelled during covid. I’ll make it back some day. Thanks for the chance. USA.

  • foreverscents says:

It would be a dream come true for me to have beignets at Café du Monde in New Orleans. I love that Rachel has a high school fragrance club….why couldn’t I have had an extracurricular activity like that when I was a student?
    I live in the USA.

  • Thanks for the nice words and the fun video Steven. Rachel – I love the idea of a high school fragrance club.

I learnt about this brand from CFB and have been interested in reading/hearing more about the brands fragrances.

I love that this fragrance is coffee straight up. While I am not a gourmand fan, the notes, especially the use of iris and oud is really quite interesting. It’s a nice touch to add cinnamon to balance out the brown sugar, while adding to the sweetness.

    Cheers from WI, USA
