When I read that the composition contained Kunzea flower, I didn’t know much about it, but it sounded familiar. It is not used often in perfumery. After researching, I learned that it is a Tasmanian pant related to tea tree. It is aromatic and known for its aromatherapeutic benefits, especially its soothing properties.-Michelyn

  • Love Purple Suede, would love to sample this as a fan of fig and iris notes. From Steven’s review it seems it leans into the spices, fig and iris.

  • Honestly what appealed to me was the use of Australian Kunzea. I haven’t seen this used in anything else. I’m sure it probably has been used, I just haven’t seen it or smelled it before. Awesome review btw.

  • What really stood out to me about Mystic Bliss from Steven’s review is how unique and unexpected the composition sounds. The inclusion of Kunzea flower is fascinating, especially since it’s not often used in perfumes, and tying it to the rugged landscape of Flinders Island in Tasmania adds an extra layer of depth. I love how the fragrance brings together earthy, aromatic notes like frankincense and clary sage with unexpected touches like fig, caramel, and mint—it sounds like a perfect blend of freshness and warmth. The balance of spicy pink pepper and cardamom with the softness of sandalwood and labdanum makes me think this scent must evolve beautifully on the skin. It feels both grounded and blissfully ethereal, which is intriguing!

  • What intrigued me most about Mystic Bliss was the use of the Kunzea flower, a rare note in perfumery, which adds an aromatic and soothing layer to the composition. The blend of frankincense, cardamom, and fig evokes a complex, rugged beauty reminiscent of Tasmania’s Flinders Island. I live in the U.S. and would love to experience this olfactive journey. My favorite Goldfield & Banks perfume is Silky Woods, but Mystic Bliss sounds like it could be a new favorite!

  • The combination of Kunzea flower and frankincense is what really captivated me about Mystic Bliss. The fragrance seems to evoke the rugged yet serene landscape of Flinders Island in Tasmania, where earthy and aromatic elements come together. The inclusion of cardamom, fig, and orris also adds a beautiful complexity that makes me eager to try this unique blend. I live in the US, and my favorite Goldfield & Banks scent is Desert Rosewood.

Steven describing the scent as “creamy, laconic, fruity,” combined with the Iris just sounds so interesting and beautiful to me. Would definitely love to try it. My favorite fragrance of the brand has to be Pacific Rock Moss.

A Fig and Iris perfume sounds delightful, and the agreeability described is perfect. I don’t have a favorite from this house, but it might be this one or Purple Suede. As a lover of all things fig, the fact that Steven describes it as being noticed throughout is just beautiful. Im very curious about the Tasmanian flower addition. I live in Oregon.

  • Leandro A. Avena says:

I think I like Mystic Bliss as mentioned by Steven’s review because it’s notes are wonderful and It would be a versatile fragrance. My favorite of the line is Velvet Splendour.

  • Ramses Perez says:

My favorite fragrance from the brand is the iconic Silky Woods, even though I don’t know it I’ve smelled it many times and it is a beauty. Island Lush is a very close second. This one is a very complex fragrance as it has notes that cater to different types of fragrance lovers. Going from spicy to creamy and also lactonic, this is a mix you typically don’t see on many fragrances. Also, the Kunzea flower that sets this one apart from any other composition out there is sure to bring about a unique scent profile. Love that Steven mentioned this one is a pretty versatile fragrance and you truly get that from the melange of notes present. I’m located in the USA.

  • Ooh another great note selection from G&B! I am not familiar with the Durbano one with Kunzea but Solstice Scents, Jinx and Teone Reinthal have used it with great success. I would love to try this. My favorite G&B is Velvet Splendour. Im a sucker for the lush old school floral. I am in California. Thank you for the give away.

  • The fragrance features the exceptional note of kunzea, which is not commonly found in perfumes. This gives it a distinctive and memorable scent profile. I live in Trzebnica, Poland, EU. I don’t really have a favourite from Goldfield & Banks because I never tried this house.
