Commodity Gin, Nectar and Tonka Reviews+ 3 You should be Wearing Draw

Best Commodity Fragrances

Commodity Gin, Nectar and Tonka photo by Sebastian

Sometimes a brand will be discontinued…not because of lack of sales but because it grew too fast and couldn’t keep up with demand. In 2014, Commodity Fragrances started a Kickstarter campaign and it popularity grew as it became the first direct to consumer brand. You could try before you buy, free samples. In 2015 the allure of Sephora beckoned. By March 31, 2019, it shuttered its doors. On October 31st, 2019 the distributor Europerfumes purchased the company (This was such great news it made CaFleureBon’s Best Buzz of 2019). I asked the new brand owner, Vicken Arslanian, founder and President of Europerfumes why.

Commodity was one of the rare brands that made the complex world of independent fragrances easy to understand. There was an elemental nature about it that attracted me (and many others). It’s simplicity almost pokes fun at how other brands try so hard to build a story around fragrance and Commodity does it without trying. A round black bottle with the word BOOK that smells amazing. What more would I want?”- Vicken Arslanian, Re-Founder

For those who are unfamiliar with Commodity, there  were and are currently 15 fragrances in the line, divided into three collections: BLACK, WHITE and PLATINUM;  under the new ownership the brand stays true to its  early mission and at this time only sold on its dedicated website- https://commodityfragrances.com/ -Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

Personally, I have always been a fan of Book, Gold and Nectar, but I posed the question to Editor Sebastian Jara, The Perfume Guy to share his thoughts on the three you should be wearing. Sebastian chose:

Commodity Gin Review

Always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews – all 3 sound very nice, but would have to go with Nectar as my #1
Haven’t tried Commodity, but I see it gets a lot of love in the FB frag groups.

  • Sherin Thomas says:

I love the Gin notes because I think it closely resembles the notes from Roja ELYSIUM which I love . Love it get my nose on it. Sebastian is very knowledgeable as always

  • Jacob Plaisted says:

I really enjoyed Sebastian’s review of Nectar, because it captured what I experienced when smelling it for the first time. I smelled it at a Sephora as Commodity was going out of business, and instantly fell in love. Unfortunately, they did not have any bottles left for sale, so I left with just a sample, which has long since been used up. Clearly I would love to win the bottle of Nectar.

  • I used to wear Gold a few years ago. After seeing Sébastien’s review. I would love to try Nectar.

  • Very happy to hear Commodity is back! Velvet has been one of my favourite smoky rose fragrances to layer with. Don’t have any others from the brand, but both Tonka and Nectar sound delicious. Had a chance to try out Wool and Book a while ago and unfortunately neither worked well on my skin. But Sebastian sure made Nectar sound dang good. Nevertheless, with autumn fast approaching, Tonka would be my choice to win, especially since it does get compared to FD. MI, USA

  • isaaclopedia says:

Yesss I love commodity! Especially wool, rain and moss. I would always get samples of them at Sephora. I appreciate that Sebastian is very straightforward and informative in this review. Gin seems the most interesting to me because I love juniper.

    California, US

  • Always look forward to Sebastian’s videos because he’s so great at describing fragrances. I have blind bought many based on his descriptions and have fallen in love. I was curious about this fragrance house when I found it at Sephora, so I’m very happy to see it back on the market. I was Gold and Nectar when I was looking at the lineup, so I would love to win a bottle of Nectar! I think I might go ahead and purchase a sample pack too to remind myself of the good smells from this house 🙂

  • ninjitakitty says:

I would love to win any of the Commodity fragrances! Probably Gin most, because I love ginger :).

  • Love Sebastian’s videos! So… out of the three the most interesting for me is definitely Tonka, and since I haven’t tried it yet this is the one that I have to pick. I didn’t know that Commodity disappeared for a while, but I’m very glad they are back! I have tried some of there fragrances and liked them, but I currently don’t own any of them. Sweet almond and tonka been fragrances are something that I enjoy a lot so Tonka is something I definitely have to try. I live in Illinois.

  • I loved the oriental perfume description for this fragrance I am looking forward to experiencing it.

  • I still have Commodity Bergamot but because Sebastian and Michelyn both love nectar that’s the one. I like that the new owners will keep to the mission
I also want to try more from this house
Thanks For great reviews and the introduction.
    Best to all

  • wallygator88 says:

Thanks for the excellent review Sebastian.
I love Sebastian’s excitement of having the brand back and while reviewing Nectar.

I own Commodity Orris and adore the scent.

I would love to win either Nectar or Tonka.

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • I like how thorough the descriptions are, the notes, the value of the fragrance. I love his videos. If I win, I want Gin

  • Sebastian’s reviews are always on point! I’m intrigued by his description of nectar a beautiful summer scent but Tonka wins for me as he mentioned its delicious with Tonka, sandalwood, resins, cardamom oil need I go on? I would Love to win Tonka. I haven’t experienced any scents from commodity. I’m based in MN, USA

  • I enjoyed Sebastian review of the Tonka. I hope to get the tonka or anyone of the three. I have not used community before so I don’t know how they perform or smell. My friends are waiting on my opinion as always to recommend.

  • Tonka sounds like my kind of perfume! I used to wear Commodity Gold and Whiskey. Sometimes mixed.

  • judesis ilangilang says:

It is so enticing when Sebastian described the notes of 3 featured fragrances. Definitely I will own NECTAR and TONKA.

  • Wilson Siavichay says:

I heard this house before but never tried, and I will love to try it Nectar and Tonka

  • patrick_348 says:

I enjoyed Sebastian’s enthusiasm. He clearly was happy that this brand is back, and although I have never tried any from their lines, he inspired me to want to check into them. I would take Tonka, although it would almost be a tossup between that and Gin, since I am a lover of gin, both straight up and in cocktails, although not more than one a night. In the US, in NC.

  • Jasvir Singh says:

I am new to you Chanel but love the your reviews and the way you explain. I have bought some recommended fragrances by you and have to say I enjoy them..Thank you for your time

  • Eric Nelson says:

Sebastian is the among the best reviewers, top notch info, and always speaks on lesser known fragrances, like Nectar! That one sounds awesome, I love honeysuckle, orange blossoms, and Neroli so that sounds fantastic. However, Gin was my favorite that I’ve tried from Commodity and I would love to win a full bottle of that! I had a sample when they were at TJ Maxx everywhere!

  • This was a nice range sampling of fragrances from the house and I’ve watched Sebastian’s previous reviews on Commodity fragrances. I liked his comparison of Tonka to Feve Delicieuse. I remember trying them in Sephora, and picked up Tonka at TJ Maxx last year. I’ve been following their reboot and am on their mailing list. Nectar would be my choice if I win. I live in the USA. Thanks for the giveaway!

  • LeslieEsquivel says:

This is so exciting, they’re back! I was just thinking to myself this morning that I need to take it easy on my Commodity Vetiver since I wouldn’t be able to buy it again. So, when I saw the title of Sebastian’s video in my notifications I was there! Hearing him say they’re back made my week!
All 3 fragrances sound fabulous, this is a tough decision, but I think I’ll have to go with Tonka. It has everything I love dearly in it, and I have been adding Cardamom to everything lately, so it’s calling my name!
    What a generous giveaway!

  • I really like how each of these fragrances were broken down and you could get what feel each would have based on the review. I’m interested in Gin as a nice fresh scent is sounding pretty good right about now.

  • Hello, I’m new here and Sebastian definitely has a way with words. I would love to own nectar and samples of “book” and “velvet.” (From what I’ve read in the video’s comments lol) He made Tonka sound scrumptious also! One day I will own both if not all 4. Maybe winning nectar could start my collection? It’s certainly worth a try. Thank you for allowing me to participate in the draw!!

  • Bradley Woolslayer says:

Nice to hear that Commodity is back in business. I enjoyed learning about 3 of their best fragrances from Sebastian. I think I would enjoy wearing Gin, since I like those tonic style fragrances. I have a travel spray of Book. I live in Maryland.

  • Grace Rubino says:

Commodity scents are unique, delish, straight-forward and their concept of their perfume cocktail was fun! I have Book and Mimosa. I only recently realized they were recently acquired after Sebastian did his recent review on Nectar and I was looking to see where I can purchase it. Glad they are back and thanks to Sebastian for all the info. Like Sebastian, I love citrus fragrances. Would love to get my hands on Nectar.

  • I remember Commodity! I picked up a rollerball of Gin when they were discontinuing the old stock a year or so ago. It is indeed reminiscent of a good quality London Dry. The patch gives it depth and longevity. I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews and would love to try Nectar. Commenting from a USA.

  • I only very recently learned of Commodity’s demise and of their acquisition after I viewed Sebastian’s review on Nectar and tried to see where I can purchase one for myself. Love Commodity and their brilliant and fun perfume cocktail concept. I have Mimosa and Book. The scents are delish, unique and straightforward. Glad their back! And thanks to Sebastian for letting us know. So very informative is Sebastian without the bombastic persona of other perfume reviewers, yet you can still sense his passion. Like Sebastian, I love citrus fragrances and would love to have Nectar.

  • Kirsten Mae says:

Oh I’m so sad these are discontinued! I have yet to try them, and would love Tonka! It sounds so luscious and delicious! Thanks for the reviews and the chance to win! I’m in Florida USA

  • I enjoyed the description of all 3 fragrances and the simplicity of the house! Sebastians description of Gin sounds right up my alley and the slightly smoky quality is unique and I would love the opportunity to try this house!
    From New York, USA

  • Andrei Artimon says:

Never tried something from the house and saw sebastien previous review of tonka , as far as favourites , nectar sounds amazing from the description in the review, would really love to be on the winning end , new york , usa .

  • I’ve tried a few Commodity fragrances, one of my favs is Moss. If lucky, I’d choose Gin. Sebastian’s description of this fragrance made it sound very unisexy! I like juniper, ginger and patchouli notes. Thanks for the opportunity to sniff! Mich USA

  • Vindya Gunawardena says:

I’m so glad the brand is back. Great review by Sebastian highlighting a diverse selection. I would love to try Gin. I’ve been loving juniper notes recently. Currently I don’t any, but Rain sounds refreshing.

  • Sebastian is just as descriptive and knowledgeable as always. I want to try book but I’ve also been looking at nectar for a long time to try. USA. Nectar

  • Nectar by far appeals to me the most! Sebastian always gives a great description, and I am definitely craving the pommelo and florals. Gin sounds safe, and Tonka sounds comforting, but a burst of freshness fits the bill.

  • Sebastian is my favorite fragrance reviewer. I still have a sample of Book that I bought a few years ago. I would love to have Gin

  • lgjatdaytona500 says:

One thing I really like about Sebastian’s review was that it opened me up to a new kind of fragrance. I never even knew there were even commodity fragrances until his review. I also love how detailed he is with describing each fragrance, and how chill his personality is. Tonka would be my choice!

  • Sebastian always gives such a great description of a perfumes notes and how it develops. Based on how much he gushed over Nectar, I would choose Nectar if I won because Sebastian has great taste and he loved it. I am in the USA.

  • vickalicious says:

I’m so glad that Commodity is back! I had only started to discover the brand, and then I could not find them. I enjoyed Sebastian’s detailed review of each of the three, and his genuine enthusiasm for this house. I also found it interesting that he compared Tonka to Feve Delicieuse. I would love to win Tonka! (located in US).

  • Sebastian is my favorite fragrance reviewer and I love how happy he seemed to be reviewing Commodity fragrances. He made them all sound amazing but if I had to choose one, I’d choose Tonka. Currently I own Book and I have been holding onto my little purse sized spray for dear life!

  • Sebastian once again coming through with an amazing review! Definitely intrigued most by Gin, though Tonka and Nectar also sound wonderful. Writing from the Bay Area, USA.

  • I Adore Sebastian because he is always very professional and has excellent taste. In the last 4 months I ordered about 6 fragrances on his recommendation and I don’t regret a single one ❤️ I know Commodity Parfumes very well especially Book, Nectar and Vetiver. I had a chance a sample them years ago in London and I’m so happy that this amazing brand is back.
I wish to try Tonka because I love almonds and actually looking for cozy and gourmand parfume ❤️
    Greetings from Montebello California

  • Bryant Worley says:

Sebastian is one of the best reviewers, and I enjoy his reviews. And this was no exception. He was thorough and enthusiastic in his review, especially “Nectar”. And Nectar is the one I would like to win.

From their website, I’d like to own Leather, Nectar, Gin, Tonka, Vetiver, Mimosa and Gold.

  • I’ve been following in Sebatian’s videos and have enjoyed his comments on fragrances. I actually have searched around and found myself a bottole of Nectar and wore it for the first time today. I love it. I like citrus and love orange blossom so this fragrance just smell delicious. From Sebastian’s descriptions now I really want to have a bottle of Tonka. It sounds yummy too.

  • I loved the way Sebastian described the notes of nectar in his video. He made citrus floral style composed by Mathieu Nardin sound fantastic.

  • What I enjoyed the most about Sebastian’s review was how he talked about the perfumers, highlighted the price, and really did a wonderful job at explaining how the fragrance smells. If I am drawn, I would love to win Gin. I don’t own any Commodity fragrances, but I would love to try Velvet and Bois. Kind regards from Illinois, USA.

  • I love Sebastian’s channel so much. I’ve just recently discovered my love for scent and he’s helped me navigate my way around the world of fine fragrance. I’ve actually had Nectar in my hands a few years ago ready to purchase but I figured I could just buy it later. Egg on my face! Needless to say, I’d love to own a bottle of it after all this time. Happy to see Sebastian talk about a brand I’ve had my eye on for awhile and happy to see Commodity back in business!

    Virginia, USA

  • I have been keeping an eye on this line! I would love the Tonka to enjoy this Fall. I have created a wish list including Rain, Nectar, Gold and Tonka. I would really just love to smell them all! Thanks for the contest and the video!

  • I love Sebastian’s reviews. I can almost smell them while watching. They all sound so interesting but I am going to choose Nectar. Thanks for the opportunity. NY, USA

  • Great review by Sebastian! I would like to win Tonka! Tonka, sandalwood, resins, cardamom… how amazing it sounds. I do not own any Commodity fragrances yet.
    Florida, USA

  • Oh wow. I totally thought Commodity was no more. How exciting! I love Sebastian’s review and would choose Nectar. I live int he USA.

  • Amanda32828 says:

Like always I love Sebastian reviews. They are all full on information and insight details. The Commodity brand has always been very close to my heart. I loved it since back when they initially came out. They were probably the first niche brand I loved. From this brand I’ll like to own all of them but since I can only choose one for this draw I think I go with Nectar, since I love citrusy fragrances I think this one will suit my taste the best. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in the drawing. I’m commenting from Orlando, Fl.

  • I’m so glad Commodity is being revived – it was/is a great brand and I cannot wait to see what’s next. Sebastian is clearly a fan and I would say his reviews through the years have definitely piqued my interest in their scents. I love the way Sebastian describes “Nectar” – the piquant-bitter pomelo juxtaposing against the fresh-tangy neroli and orange blossom. It seems like the perfect summer scent. That would be my pick, for sure. I’m based in the US.

  • I like Sebastian’s enthusiasm for these frags. I already own Book, Whiskey and Tonka but I think I’d really love Nectar based on Sebastian’s description!

  • ThatMulattoDude says:

I was wondering when reviewers would start talking about this brand again because this are high bang-for-your-buck fragrances. Of course, it had to be Sebastian. I’ve been itching to pull the trigger on the sample set but have not as of yet. I’m most interested in Tonka. Best from Virginia, USA!

  • stanley wright says:

All three of these scents sound awesome!! I would love any of these, especially the Nectar

  • Always love Sebastiáns honest reviews, I am a fan of Commodity fragrances, I ownTonka it is one of my fave, if I won I would choose Nectar. I live in US.

  • They all sound amazing. Before Sebastian’s review, I was torn between Nectar and Tonka. Because of the review, I most want to try Tonka. It sounds delicious. I actually have never tried anything from Commodity. Looking at their site I want to try everything in the Silver collection.

  • The Experimenter says:

Really great reviews of all three of these. Sebastian’s command on articulating complex layers of scent notes is really amazing. I swear I could smell each of these as he described them. That said, as someone who is a sucker for woody, resins, benzoin, etc. and when Sebastian said, “creamy sandalwood,” I knew immediately that Tonka is the one I’d love to try.

  • Nectar and Tonka sound very interesting to try them. I hope for Tonka bottle. Im in USA

  • When this brand was launched I tried all available. For this draw I’d like to go with the gin. US

  • I enjoyed Sebastiajs review as always. He describes the fragrances so well it gives a better idea of what to expect. I also liked that he mentioned Tonka being a possible replacement/alternative for Feve Delicieuse. I don’t own nor have I tried any Commodity frags so from the website I’d start with discovery set, its nice that it contains all 15 fragrances. A bunch of them sound nice, Orris and Gold just to name a couple that stood out to me. Of the three Sebastian discussed Gin did sound good but Nectar and Tonka both stood out more to me so its a tough choice between those two. I suppose I’d choose Tonka if I was to win. Thanks for the generous draw, from CT USA.

  • mariajcastilloor says:

Loved the description that Sebastian Provided for Nectar! I would love to try this one! also I’m a fan of the minimal packaging, makes me more intrigued!

  • I’d love to win Nectar because I am drawn to the orange blossom and honeysuckle notes. I took a look at the Commodity website and I am also drawn to Book and Wool. I am in the USA.

  • As always, loved Sebastian’s reviews of Commodity fragrances Gin, Nectar, and Tonka. I haven’t tried Commodity fragrances, yet, but, after listening to Sebastian, I would first want to try Tonka and Nectar. The notes are so yummy. If I am so lucky as to win this draw, I would like to get a bottle of Tonka. Thanks for the generous draw and Sebastian for his clear reviews. Writing from the USA.

  • Excellent review by Sebastian! I am happy to hear that Commodity is back. I am most intrigued by the Tonka, especially since we are going into warmer months. My choice is Tonka. I have never tried any of the fragrances from Commodity. Thanks for the giveaway and I live in the US!

  • Gloria Catterall says:

Love gold and whiskey…would love Tonka or Gin. Have nectar and I’m trying to grow into it! Thank you Sebastian…I’m a San Francisco native and just knowing you’re here makes viewing you all more enjoyable.

  • Gloria Catterall says:

…would love Tonka or Gin. Have nectar and I’m trying to grow into it! Thank you Sebastian…I’m a San Francisco native and just knowing you’re here makes viewing you all more enjoyable.

  • Barbara Wittersheim68 says:

Sebastian’s reviews are always down to earth and this was no exception. His enthusiasm always comes through. I’ve had Nectar on my list for a long time, but the weather is changing and I’d really love to get Tonka under my nose. I’m in the U.S. and I’m so appreciative of this chance.

  • Best part of the video is learning Commodity is back!! I own Tonka and my next favorite is Nectar. But, I never picked up a bottle. Thanks for the give away!!

  • bungleodeon says:

I am interested in nectar because Sebastian seemed so excited about it. Tonka is more up my alley because i love almonds, but Sebastian really sold me on nectar.

  • I have only Mimosa from Commodity. Sebastian’s videos my favorites on YouTube, just like his way to describe fragragrances and in this video I love how he gives special attention to Tonka, I guess it’s because we both like gourmand Scents.
For me Tonka sounds just right, thank you Cafleurebon, Sebastian and Europerfumes.
    USA Florida

  • I always love Sebastian’s reviews, because he so carefully describes the notes that make up the perfume. This review is no exception. I don’t own any Commodity perfume, but of the three, I would really enjoy owning Tonka. Many thanks to Sebastian for his review and many thanks to Europerfumes for making this draw possible. I’m in the USA.

  • I love everything about Sebastian’s review video because of the way he described the scents. From his description, I think I’d love to to try Nectar. I’ve never tried commodity fragrances before but I’d love to.

  • I like the enthusiasm that Sebastien gives in his videos. And this line seems great! I would pick Nectar since is the one that gets more love in Forums. I’m from Lisbon, Portugal.

  • What can I say about Sebastian, I love he’s reviews and enjoy the depth of them. He helped me to know and love alot of notes.
I would love to win Nectar.
    New Jersey

  • Thank you Europerfumes for rescuing this line, as I really want to check them out. As usual, Sebastian’s candor is infectious. Pour some nectar on me!

  • Honeydew Crenshaw says:

mmmm – Nectar is right in my wheelhouse; delightful review by Sebastian as per usual

    US here

  • I enjoyed the detail in the video. I’m familiar with Commodity but have not thought to try these three scents. I was leaning toward Tonka as my most intriguing of the three but you sold me on Nectar! I love the sound of citrusy and neroli.

  • I LOVE Commodity fragrances and I am beyond thrilled they are back!! I’ve been following them on social media, watching the development of their new company and I’m so excited all my favorites are back. I personally own Book, Vetiver, Velvet and Gold. I honestly don’t think I’ve smelled any I didn’t like. Weirdly, though, I don’t think I ever got the chance to smell Tonka. If I won, I would definitely choose Tonka.
And of course, once again, Sebastian does an amazing job reviewing the 3 scents!
    I live in the US.

  • I love this story because it’s about survival despite the vagueries of the marketplace (and where the hell is that? I shop a lot, and I’ve never been there! And who are the despots seeing to the disappearance of this or that beloved item?) And I love the fact that the young ones realize the importance fragrance plays and they are devoting their significant talents to its creation. I am 70 years old, and I have experienced all the trends and all sampled all the classics. I marveled at the Evening in Paris bottles on my mother’s dressing table, and Shalimar and Chanel 5. Girls in middle school wore Tabu. I worked at the counter at Lord and Taylor to make extra money during the Christmas season Bal a Versaille was launched, and a scent of lesser value, smaller price launched at the same time … which gave me a headache. But I suppose anything was better than the cheap veils of Patchouli that followed all the hippies at all the festivals in the 60’s. Well. I could go bore you lots more, so I’ll end here by saying that any one of these fragrances would be so appreciated by me, and look so pretty on my own dressing table now.

  • Sebastian’s descriptions are always spot on. I really do enjoy them. Commodity Nectar is one of my all time favorites and the only perfume I have that my husband has ever said he likes. He’s not really a perfume guy.
As much as I want to say give me another Nectar! I would love to try Gin if my name/comment is chosen.
I’m in the US, thanks for the draw, and thanks to Sebastian for the great review.

  • Idette Barbosa says:

Love the description of the scents, Sebastian always lures me in with his unique way of this. His review has me interested in trying the tonka and nectar scents.

  • foxesandfigs says:

I have never tried Commodity but I’ve heard amazing things about them. I love that Sebastian is so excited when he spoke of Nectar and that it has a nice contrast between the floral and pomelo. I would choose Commodity Nectar.
    Oklahoma USA

  • I enjoyed the review. I’d go with either Gin or Nectar. Leaning more towards Gin based on the description and notes. Thanks for the giveaway, Ca

  • I enjoyed how his description of each fragrance gave me a good idea about how they would smell. I now know what to expect if I purchased any of the three fragrances and that shows how gifted he is at describing a fragrance. I would definitely like to win Tonka. All of my favorite fragrances have Tonka beans in their notes so I know that I’d love one centered around it. New Jersey, USA

  • Steve Conaway says:

Sebastian is my go-to source for perfume reviews. He brings enthusiasm to every video and has a mild manner camera presence not to mention a furious drive to own it all and review it all.
Saw Commodity in Sephora back in the day. I remember smelling Book and liked it very much. Same with Vetiver.
Tonka would be by choice if selected as my wife and I could share it.
    Thanks for it all.

  • m.r.everything says:

Commodity is such a fantastic brand and I am so glad they are back! Like Sebastian, I have also been following Commodity for quite some time, since around 2013 when they were introduced. I purchased several bottles from them at first, and then went back for more. I first purchased the sample set, and fell in love with a number of them. I purchased two full bottles at first, a bottle of Whiskey and a bottle of Gold. Both are simply stunning fragrances. I really enjoy having them in my collection, so much so, that I had to pick up another bottle of Whiskey. I have since picked up Book, Mimosa, and travel sizes of Whiskey and Leather. Commodity is really an outstanding brand and I was horrified to hear they were being discontinued a year or two ago. I am so glad they are back and I am going to have to pick up a few more. I would be grateful to win any one of these, as I have sampled them all, although my choice would definitely have to be Tonka…. it would be hard to pick a favorite out of these three, as they are all superb, but Tonka has a slight edge for me. Thank you Sebastian, for your take on these three beauties. I really enjoyed the video. A huge thank you to Vicken for picking this line back up and giving it life again. Thank you also for your generosity and for allowing us the opportunity to win one of these fragrances! It is greatly appreciated more than you know! Thank you Michelyn, as always, for making this all possible! Sending love, warm wishes, and gratitude from Delaware, US. Good luck all and stay safe friends!

  • Sebastian’s reviews are always great at getting me excited about fragrances I didn’t even think I wanted. This one is no exception. I agree with him that those are great prices for niche perfumery. They honestly all sound great but it may be because I am feeling pretty tired of summer, that Tonka sounded the best. I haven’t yet tried this house but I may have to check out their sample sets. Honestly many of their fragrances sound great but I am really curious about Book and Orris. Thank you for the giveaway. I like in Tennessee, USA.

  • Michael Prince says:

Sebastian, another amazing review on Commodity Gin, Nectar, and Tonka. I have heard of this house and heard about them being discontinued last year. I am glad the brand is coming back. I don’t own any of their fragrances and I haven’t tried any of their fragrances. All three of these sound amazing, but if I win I would pick Commodity Tonka. I love complex cold weather gourmand fragrances and I know I would love Tonka. I am from Ohio, USA.

  • As usual, Sebastian’s review was great. It was nice to hear about the return of Commodity as they are quality scents at great prices. Out of the fragrances mentioned, I would choose Gin because I love the clean, crisp smell of a good gin. Pennsylvania.

  • Diana De La Rosa says:

I loved the way he described tonka. I was fortunate to grab a bottle of nectar before they left Sephora…such a lovely spring/summer fragrance and one I mix with others to boost them up! I would love to win a bottle of Tonka!

  • Not only did I love Sebastian review but I also own nectar and really enjoy its unexpected freshness. I would love to try Tonka. Thanks from NJ

  • I adore Tonka in frag, Good to know the guy behind Tonka worked with Tom ford, Its news to me. I choose Tonka if Im the guy:) CA USA

  • I know the giveaway is closed but I lust loved his description of “tonka” best. His description of it being warm and cozy, made me think of a hug, and who doesn’t need a hug right now and its something I dont think I would buy it for myself untill I heard sebastian’s description. I loved Commodity’s “Book” I have a 10ml travel spray with its last precious mls; that I guard and hoard like a dragon guarding gold. I thought I would never get a chance to buy anymore. When I heard Commodity was back I was so excited.
