Amouage Fate Man Review

At CaFleureBon we have been long time admirers of Amouage since our inception in 2010; our first review was Memoir Woman by Sr. Editor Ida Meister when we were just 6 months old!  Over the past 10 years, we have reviewed every Amouage fragrance with the exception of the Epic series and Beach Hut Woman.  What I have noticed throughout the years, not only has Amouage receive many CaFleureBon Best of Scent awards starting with my 2012 perfume of the year Amouage Interlude Woman, but so many from the House have been favorites of our past and present editors and contributors. Editor Sebastian Jara, our video fragrance reviewer of over five and half years is a long time fan (for our site : Amouage Lyric Man and Woman, Amouage Journey Man, and Amouage Reflection Man ).  In this review of Amouage Fate he explains why its his ultimate “cumin fragrance”.  Now I know what you might be thinking… CUMIN? That’s an unpleasant odor… but used in perfumery it dry, pungent, peppery, slightly dry and spicy.- Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

  • I loved this review by Sebastian. Cumin is a really misunderstood note that can be worked beautifully into fragrances. I am a big fan of spices and dry fragrances, and Fate Man sounds like a winner. It will definitely be on my shortlist of fragrances to try! Regards from Illinois, USA

  • Sebastian’s review really piqued my interest in this fragrance. He really knows his stuff when it comes to describing fragrances and this one sounds great. I’ve never tried anything from this house before but I’d love to. Thanks for the great review and the great giveaway.

  • Sunny Chaudhary says:

I am from India and we Indians use Cumin in our food, drinks and all so my relationship with cumin is since childhood as I used to watch them getting dried in our house. Cumin can always be used more into fragrances than just in food and house of Amouage did a brilliant job with it.

Sebastian review as usual is exceptional. I am a big fan of spices and dry fragrances, and Fate Man sounds like a winner.

I love Journey Man a lot and am sure I would love this too.

Thanks for the opportunity to win this gem.

    Regards
    Sunny

Sebastian delivers yet another excellent and detailed review. I enjoyed his explanation of the spicy dry notes of cumin with added touches of absinthe and licorice. I’m also looking forward to the Q&A tomorrow at 9:00 PST. Stay safe!

  • Mark Brake says:

I enjoyed Sebastian’s discerning description of the dryness and the opportunity to watch the Amouage interview tomorrow morning.

  • Anthony Ragusa says:

Sebastian is one of the most underrated reviewers on YouTube. He’s definitely one of the channels I go to most frequently with his knowledge, and demeanor.

  • Started my perfume journey few months ago after watching Sebastian YouTube channel and immediately subscribed to know more about perfumes.
    Thanks Sebastian.

  • I love Amouage my favorite is interlude so it’s cool that Sebastian will talk with him.
    Cumin I learned a lot

  • Fernando Arroyo says:

I love Amouage and I love cumin in food, and if it’s well utilized in a fragrance, could be a really nice one. I’m definitely intrigued.

  • I liked how Sebastian explained this spicy fragrance. It sounds really interesting with the licorice like touches throughout and ambery touches in the mid into the base all the while remaining spicey. It seems very different to anything I own at this time. So far I’ve only tried Reflection Man from Amouage and really enjoy it. I’m in the U.S. Thanks for the generous draw.

  • Ricardo A Rohena Pagan says:

When I think of cumin my thoughts goes to my tropical culinary ancestry. For the ‘mare nostrum’ of the caribbean basin citizens it’s a familiar scent and a well respected fragrance. I have Amouage Jubilation XV, Sunshine Man and Interlude Man. I would love to try Fate Man as a proper statement during these daring circumstances.

  • Morris Johnson says:

I enjoyed the detailed information about the cumin in the fragrance and how it allows the fragrance to be somewhat of a spicebomb. I enjoy Sebastian’s use of descriptive terms that allow to correlation of the Fragrance being some what dry. I’m interested in smelling the licorice hints aa well as the ambery touches in the mid into the base while still maintaining that Spivey flair!

  • Amouage is one of my favorite house’s. I haven’t tried Fate Man yet , but I have wanted too. Sebastian makes it sound amazing. I’ve never thought of cumin as a pleasant smell, but in perfumery you never know, anything is possible.

  • What a lovely bottle to begin with. I have a love/hate relationship with the cumin note, but the way Sebastian described it makes me really want to try it out. I also like the idea of a less church-like frankincense and absinth in a spice bomb of a fragrance. Thanks for the draw. Regards from the USA.

  • I always enjoy Sebastian’s wonderfully passionate and detailed reviews, this time for Amouage Fate Man. Do not own any Amouages yet. TX, USA

  • anthonyumu says:

Sebastian’s review has made me really interested in the note of cumin! I haven’t experimented with very many cumin fragrances but I do love it in my food. His description of the licorice and absinthe has really made me curious.
    Thanks for this giveaway opportunity!

  • Robert C Muller says:

I have been wanting to try an Amouage fragrance for quite some time given that I am very partial to incense notes. Having never worn a fragrance with Cumin, I am eager to try this formulation. Thank you.

  • Please enter me in your giveaway. I have tried a decant of Fate man and I enjoyed it and would love to have a full bottle.Amouage is one of my favorite house’s thanks

  • I liked that Sebastian described this as a cumin bomb! I also like licorice and frankincense notes in fragrances. I’m interested in the absinthe note. Thanks for another fabulous draw! Mich USA

  • Sebastian, is a great reviewer. He breaks his review in several parts so the viewer will be lost in the notes.

Sebastian is very honest and i trust him with his reviews 100%. He is also pleasent to watch

  • wangslayer says:

Sebastian said this does NOT smell like B.O. onstead it smells like cooking cumin. Very interested 🙂

  • I always love and enjoy watching Sebastian’s review as he describes the fragrance DNA so well you can practically smell it and now I am very interested in this spicy cumin, absinthe and licorice treasure. Thanks for the draw. Be safe and well. Regards from CA, USA.

  • Geronimo Gallardo says:

Nunca me he ganado nada . Espero poder participar en esta rifa. No se mucho de esta fragancia pero la botella se ve padrisima. Gracias Sebastiana por tus grandes reviews.

  • I really enjoy all of Sebastians content. He does a great job breaking down the fragrance and all of the notes, to give you a great visual of how the fragrance comes across. I really enjoy spicy fragrances but have yet to try one with cumin. I was most intrigued the way he described the cumin here to be used in its spiciest form. Thanks for a great review and also the opportunity at a chance to win this giveaway.

  • Leonicia Blue says:

Sebastian’s YouTube review of Amouage Fate Man was great as most of his videos are very informative.

  • Kyle Hipsman says:

Have to appreciate the reviews that Sebastian creates. All encompassing with not a detail left out. Never thought I would like a fragrance with the note of cumin, but then realized that one of my favorite Parfums de Marly fragrance has cumin as a top note. Would love to try this one out.

  • Mark Foster says:

I really liked this review. The detail he goes in to of all the notes was very interesting along with his use of descriptors such as dry, wet, etc. I did not know that a scent could be dry. I learn a lot from watching these videos.

  • tlindquist says:

“Cumin bomb!” And a very dry fragrance. Cumin makes me think of good Texas chili. Yum!

  • This was an intriguing review, I’m not sure I know any fragrances that have cumin notes in them. It sounds really good!

  • Great review as always Sebastian! Cumin is a tricky note. It can add a really unpleasant sweat note in some fragrances but it also features in scents I love such as Kenzo Jungle L’Elephant. I love Amouage scents. Woman is a favorite. In in MD, USA.

  • This is the first time I am seeing Pierre Negrin. As Sebastian says, this is, indeed, spicebomb. I smelled Fate Man years ago and I still remember the intense blast of cumin Sebastian also mentions. USA.

  • Oldmanspiers says:

My favorite thing about Sebastian’s review of Fate man is his love and passion for fragrances. It is evident in every review he does and watching him is a very dangerous thing for me because it adds a new fragrance to my want list EVERY SINGLE time. If only I could afford them all…

  • Eugene Simmons says:

Well versed knowledgeable and very informative Host…who gives in depth reviews of products and personal opinions as well as general overviews.
    I enjoy the show!!
    Gino Simmons

  • I love how Sebastian describe the note in fragrance by falling in love with them. Not only fate by Amouage, but also Journey man review drives me craze. Although cumin is a head note but Sir Pierre Negrin done it very well to bring an unique, classy fragrance to the world by drying down excellent combination with a bit woody herbal tone.

  • Aaron DuBois says:

    Great Review Sebastian!
Amouage is a niche house I really want to explore more, Fate and Epic are 2 that I really want to get, so your opinion is greatly appreciated!

  • Camille Sheil says:

This idea of a strong cumin note does sound good. I haven’t eaten a lot of food with cumin in it, but I do like cumin! Absynthe: really really like this note! To me, I find that it also lends a dry note. I am finding out so much about what I go for…typically, I go for wet fragrances. But this sounds like such a top-of-the-line, unique dry fragrance that I would love to try it!

Thanks so much for this opportunity! I live in New Hampshire USA!

  • William Nguyen says:

Just love this review Sebastian. So lively, detailed and useful as always.
Amouage is one of my favorite house. Has owned beloved, reflection and lyric man (thanks to Sebastian 🙂 ).
So excited to explore further from the house: interlude, Jubilation XXV and this Fate Man too.

  • I like the idea of this fragrance. It is mysterious and alluring, but in an unsettling way, much like a jack-in-the-box. As you turn the crank, a beautiful and dissonant melody draws you in. The tension of the inevitable shock builds, but you knowingly continue. Just like Sebastian Said, dry fragrance and Simply too much cumin.
I’d love to own a bottle.

  • Bob_Sacamano says:

Sebastian is always very honest and to the point with his reviews. I appreciate that in a YT reviewer. His review of Fate Man was no different, and has me really excited to enjoy another Amouage creation by Pierre Negrin.

  • I loved the idea of a cumin heavy aromatic. I love the note of cumin, so I can only imagine how this fragrance smells.

  • Mauricio Andres Rayo says:

Hay Man Love your Youtube Channel. I recently purchased Imitation Man from Amouage its really MAGICAL scent I wish you can do a review on it please.

  • I love that Sebastian delves into the exotic and complex notes of the fragrance world. His review of Fate Man was very objective, leaving room for the viewer to understand that the main note of cumin is not for everyone. His explanation of the formulation is very elegant and left me with a desire to expand my horizons with a new perfume. Thanks as always Sebastian, and thank you for introducing me to amber fragrances! I can never go back haha.

  • NiceVULady says:

Sebastian is always wonderful in breaking down notes within a fragrance and then describing them. I really like woody and dry fragrances, so this is one I should definitely try. Thanks for a great review and a generous draw. I’m in the USA.

  • thiagovidotto says:

Amazing review as always, Sebastian! I wish I could try this fragrance. I do love cooking with cumin, so I guess I’d love it!

  • I don’t quite agree when Sebastian’s accented on true dryiness of Fate for Men. The presence of saffron and immortelle makes this perfume very rich, dense and to me – oily. It turns out a kind of spicy whirl, with a smoky-coffee hue. But the balance is very strict. What actually pleases: the perfume does not slip into the cacophony of importunate notes. This one sounds as in whole, and in unison as well. Do I need to mention about longevity and sillage?! They are on top!

Pure and authentic oriental woodiness in one bottle.

Thank you for review and giveaway. Good luck to y’all and stay healthy!

  • Steve Miranda says:

I would like to enter the giveaway. Sebastian gave a great review as always. I’m new to fragrance so cumin is not a note I’m too familiar. It would be great to start with an Amouage fragrance.

  • Hello
Thanks for the giveaway chance, I would love to try this because I do enjoy cumin note.
    Thanks

  • Shamrock1313 says:

Another knockout review by Sebastian – Fate Man sounds like a great performer in the cold weather. Enjoy Amouage has some great frags, my first & still favorite is Beach Hut Man.
    Pennsylvania USA

  • As always, Sebastian’s video review was great. His note breakdown was so detailed, and descriptive (as always) that although I had never put my nose on this fragrance before, I felt as though I knew precisely how this would smell. I truly don’t think there’s any fragrance reviewer out there who has more passion than Sebastian, and I’m here to tell you, that I know first hand how addictive that passion is, and I thank him for that.

  • Thanks Sebastian for another one beautiful video. I tried only one time Fate Man, but need retry- dry spicy, cumin, saffron with mandarin touch- sounds very interesting.

  • Love a good cumin note. And the touch of licorice makes this sound even more inviting to me. US

  • Brenner Hill says:

Sebastian is very thorough. The note description is very detailed and I get a good understanding of how the fragrance is going to smell.

  • Mark Maple says:

I liked how Sebastian discussed the note of cumin and how you could have a deeper appreciation for it after eating it and cooking with it. This is definitely a fragrance that I would like to try. I’m in the USA for the giveaway.

  • Don’t think I was logged in when I first posted my comment…

I liked how Sebastian discussed the note of cumin and how you could have a deeper appreciation for it after eating it and cooking with it. This is definitely a fragrance that I would like to try. I’m in the USA for the giveaway.

  • Jason Hughes says:

I love most Amouage scents, but this one wasn’t for me, although it’s been several years since I’ve tried it. Sebastians enthusiasm makes me want to give it another shot as I definitely like non conventional fragrances.

  • What I loved is CUMIN. I love the scent of cumin. My brain must have receptors for some chemical in the spice because smelling cumin changes how I feel, for the better. Thanks for this opportunity. And I will be sure to tune in, that sounds fascinating.

  • ThatMulattoDude says:

I really enjoy using cumin in cooking and enjoy the aroma of the spice. Amouage is a house that I’ve been interested in from afar but haven’t gotten my nose on because of the prices. I enjoyed how Sebastian traced the scent journey from opening to drydown. I was really drawn in by the review. A lot of the other notes in this fragrance are foreign to my nose so I’m definitely intrigued. Appreciate the opportunity for the giveaway. -Virginia, USA

  • I love cooking with cumin, but I’ve never smelled in a fragrance before. I would be really curious to try this one to, as the opening is orange, another one of my faves. Thanks for the review Sebastian! USA

  • I really enjoy Sebastians way of describing a fragrance so good enough you can almost have a feel of it through your screens… lol. Amouage never fails to when it comes to quality fragrance and I can’t wait to have this cumin bomb. Houston TX

  • I really enjoy how passionate Sebastian is about trying to clear the air on cumin! I think it is a very divisive note but I am sure it is used in such a tasteful way in this scent. I’m iffy on the note but would love the opportunity to win this and experience how Amouage Fate Man utilizes this ingredient! I’m in PA in the USA.

  • frixyminnow says:

I adore this scent!! Sebastian describes it well with the dryness and though there is cumin it is not offensive. Like he said, aromatic and the licorice and immortelle are good balance. Lovely photos posted up here as well. Would love to win a bottle! I live in CT,USA.

  • wallygator88 says:

Thanks for the review Sebastian. Cumin is such an underutilized note. I’ve found that I really like Lalique’s Ombre Noir use of cumin.

    Cheers from WI,USA

  • Sebastian does a great review as always. Very informative and honest with his opinions. Would very much like to be entered into the draw, I’m a big fan of Amouage and spicy fragrances. Eager to check out this scent. Keep up the great work. Cheers!

  • Raised in the Middle East, Amouage has always been my favorite brand. Reflection and Journey being my favs.
Would love to have the spicy oriental Fate in my collection.

    From the USA

  • I really enjoy Sebastions reviews because he’s very thorough. He not only gets the practical “smell” side of a fragrance, but also the artistic side as well.
I’d love to try this Amouage as I’ve recently been expanding into niche and I have never smelled a single one from this house.
    Thank you for the opportunity.

  • Patrick O’Donnell says:

I truly love cumin in both cooking and fragrances. Fate Man is one of the best !

  • I love cumin, after salt and pepper it’s what I add most to food – I like how Sebastian highlighted the cumin in this fragrance, really makes me want to try it!

  • David Romel says:

Thanks Sebastian for an outstanding review! I am a huge fan of Amouage as I have several in my current collection, but I have always been a little leery of Fate Man due to mainly the Cumin note. I would love to sample this to see what it’s all about. I love oriental bombs and this sounds great! Maybe not for everyone, but definitely worthy of a try! US-OH

  • Jack3Tlife says:

I usually don’t like cumin, but I’m up to try anything, hopefully this fragrance will chi ange my mind. Sensations review made it sounds really promising. I’d like to enter, in California, hope I win.

  • Naomi Sawyer says:

Wow, immortelle and cumin??? The combination of notes sounds like a delectable savory picnic outside amongst herbs with an inscense candle on the table for ambiance. This is becoming the trend of the future – would love to try Fate Man!

  • Big fan of Sebastian’s channel and always love to hear reviews for Amouage fragrances. I am especially interested in hearing takes on some of their more divisive scents.

  • patrick_348 says:

I enjoyed Sebastian’s describing of the complexity of Fate Man. As usual, he went into top, middle and base notes in a way that held my interest and made me want to smell the fragrance. I have used cumin frequently in cooking, but don’t thing I have ever smelled a cumin-centered perfume. It strikes me that it would be a scent that needs to be balanced with other notes to function well on skin, and I would love to see how that can be achieved. I’m in the US, in NC.

  • Yeah, Amouage make great fragrances and I love when Sebastian review them. And I want to try this Fate

  • I’ve never met an Amouage I didn’t like and I’ve never watched one of Sebastian’s reviews that I didn’t enjoy either! I love a spicy/oriental fragrance and I’m not cumin-shy. Thanks for the draw & the fantastic review! I’m in the US.

  • Ajay Ramdeholl says:

I never understood the association with cumin and body odor as we use it a lot in our food and smells delicious! I also love Wanted by Night which has some cumin in it even though I don’t really smell it. Fate Man looks like an interesting scent as Sebastian described wonderfully in his review! I already have Reflection Man and Jubilation Man which are two incredible scents in their own regard. This would be an awesome addition to the collection.

    Best Regards from New York!

  • Sebastian does such of great job of highlighting what makes a fragrance unique! For a house with such prismatic explorations of materials as Amouage, Sebastian is a perfect reviewer to guide is through their stacked pyramids of layered notes. I am a cumin lover in my cooking and in my fragrances, and I would love to enter this giveaway and have a chance to smell Fate Man! I am based in the US – California, to be specific.

  • Marc Conrad says:

I enjoy watching Sebastian for his wealth of knowledge and ability to clearly articulate what a scent is like. I feel like I can smell Fate Man just by his description. Amouage is hands down one of my favorite houses. Hopefully a bottle is headed my way 😉

  • Bryant Worley says:

Sebastian’s enthusiasm and thoroughness is what I enjoyed most in this review. Around Fragcomm, Cumin has gotten a bad rap. Here, Sebastian highlights the other notes, helping us to see how they complement the cumin (the main note), melding into an outstanding fragrance. I want this. I live in Waldorf, MD, USA.

  • WaltherP99 says:

Fate Man is a great fragrance, but for those who don’t know it, beware like opening is harsh and ultra spicy.
The magic happens in the base , wait for it.
Beautiful spicy one. I personally don’t find cumin in Fate Man pungent and off-putting . Leans mature to me.
At the moment i do own 4 Amouage fragrances – Jubilation XXV for men – the best Amouage imo , Intelude Man also known as “The Blue Beast” , Lilac Love and Blossom Love .

  • Very interesting review! I was glad to renew my memories about Amouage Fate Man- I was surprised by Fat’s dry, powerful spicy notes, oriental richness and excellent longevity. I enjoyed Sebastian’s description.

  • I really enjoyed Sebastian’s review. And I like how Cumin is being used in this fragrance, where it isn’t the dominant note but lends itself to all the other spices. I particularly love the drydown notes of Tonka Bean, Sandalwood, and Musk. It really sounds like a great fragrance and I’ve never owned anything by Amouge.
    I live in the US.

  • I love the taste and the smell of cumin. Any Spanish Caribbean cook worth their salt knows cumin is a must in any good sofrito. However, I never wanted to smell like it until I tried (and bought) Penhaligon’ s Halefti based on Sebastian’s review. Since then, like Sebastian, I too have been on a best cumin fragrance journey. Beside Amouage Fate Man being a cumin forward scent, the iridescent quality of the bottle make me want to win. Sebastian has piqued my interest once again

  • As usual, a wonderful review by Sebastian. I like spicy, oriental fragrances though haven’t tried many cumin fragrances. Cumin, frankincense, anise evoke a homey, warm feeling and so would love to try Amouage Fate Man. Thanks for the draw and the review – writing from USA.

  • I;m a big cumin fan. I use it a lot in cooking, and love it in fragrances. Whether it’s in Declaration and Declaration Essence, Quorum, Al Rehab’s Khaliji, among others. It does have a sweaty smell, but it’s intoxicating. Like Sebastian, I probably love it since I eat a lot of it.
Im in the US. thanks for the draw

  • wildevoodoo says:

I never really associated cumin with body odor until I got into perfumes, so thankfully I am still able to appreciate the note without having any negative associations. I think Sebastian is right- you don’t have that association unless you never really ate it growing up. Anyway, the cumin note in Fate Man sounds fascinating! The musky-woody drydown and the inclusion of licorice, absinth, labdanum, and immortelle (which are all notes I absolutely adore!) all make it sound very appealing as well. I love love love spicy fragrances (two of my favorites are The Hope by Thameen and Tea for Two by L’Artisan Parfumeur) and woody-orientals as well, so I think I would really enjoy this fragrance. I am in the US! 🙂

  • Fate Man sounds unique, and no doubt it’s shapeshifting fragrance like all Amouage fragrances I personally know. Such dry experience with cumin , licorice , saffron and lots of other spices. Now I’d like to try, and own it.
Cumin in fragrances doesn’t necessarily equal BO , but trying first is recommended.
Jubilation XXV is a staple in my collection . Smells a bit like a mix between BlackBerry crumble traybake and BlackBerry Swirl Muffins with honey butter both with cinnamon. Can’t help it- Pastry Chef in me goes forward 🙂
Appreciate the review , and the giveaway campaign

  • I’ve been watching this fragrance for a while. I’d love to give it a try. I can always count on Sebastian to give an excellent description. Thank you for the opportunity!

  • Thank you Sebastian for another informative and detailed review. I love cumin and saffron notes and also love them for spicing and coloring foods. I do not associate cumin with body odor at all (though that could be subjective) so for one tiny moment, I disagreed with Sebastian. I’m yet to smell imortelle and would love to try Fate Man as it sounds lovely. I love Epic Man from Amouage. I’m in USA

  • Sebastian’s review really intrigued me especially the cumin note. Some perfumes with cumin do it really well so I am so interested to see what this smells like.

  • Sebastian’s review really intrigued me especially the cumin note. Some perfumes with cumin do it really well so I am so interested to see what this smells like. Thank you.

  • I really liked how Sebastian brings out and describes Fate Man’s arid qualities. It’s interesting that he noted a different type of frankincense used in this fragrance, a variety that gives off a less ecclesiastical vibe. All in all it would be great to try Fate Man, as cumin works really well for me in perfumes and I greatly enjoy spicy compositions. Thanks Sebastian for the review and Europerfumes for the generous giveaway!

  • Michael Prince says:

Amouage Fate Man sounds like an interesting fragrance. A real aromatic experience with the intense cumin note. I would enjoy cumin how it’s done in this note as a spice mixed with other aromatic touches like ginger, saffron and absinthe, a nice touch of incense and immortelle, along with licorice, amber, and musky touches in the base. It sounds unique, while still having an Amouage DNA to it. I am from Ohio, USA.

  • Amanda32828 says:

Lovely notes, beautiful bottle, awesome review. What’s not to love about this amazing fragrance. I guess the cummin note is just an add up bonus. Commenting from Orlando, Fl. Thank you the great opportunity to participate in this giveaway.

  • Always love the feelings/settings he uses to help describe the smells such as the frankincense not being church-like. There’s quite a few notes I haven’t smelled in a fragrance before that makes me want to try this one, including cumin! I haven’t cooked with it before, so I will have try doing so just to get a sense of the smell. From Minnesota in the US.

  • Unique cumin fragrance with licorice , cedar , saffron and ginger . Well hello Fate Man , why I’ve not smelled you before?
Amouage fragrances are really unique. All i have smelled, you should never get without sampling first. Some could smell completely different on every person when you spaying them on skin. For example both Sunshine Men , and Reflection Man are two completely different scents on me , and on my husband. Sunshine Men is a gourmand on me , but on my hubby is dry , herbal and sour .I guess i’ll have to find out myself what I’ll get from Fate Man. By the way favorite Amouage is Sunshine Men.Beautiful draw thank you.

  • I always learn something new whenever o Watch Sebastian even if it’s how to pronounce words correctly. I never knew cumin was associated with body odor. I’m a fan of spicy fragrances.

  • I really enjoy how Detailed Sebastian’s reviews are. My wife Loves Cumin and I love Saffron. My mother used to make me risotto allo zafferano when I was young… still does in fact.

My favorite Amouage is Jubilation XXV . What a masterpiece of a fragrance. If I have to live with 4 fragrances until the rest of my life , Jubilation XXV will be one of those 4. Sebastian himself started this challenge on his YouTube channel.
As I said Jubilation XXV is on a different level. First time I’ve smelled it my eyes started rolling out.

Both Journey and Fate Man are the prime examples why you should never judge the book by its cover. Both are spicy, both dry , both openings are kind of harsh. I was looking for spicy fragrance, and it was not an easy task. Both are well made , you can pick up the quality right away.
Hesitation was killing me, but Journey and up in my possession.
I can’t say that I’ve eaten a lot of cumin, but thankfully body odor in Fate Man I don’t perceive.
I’m really excited for this giveaway. USA

Amouage is a house that I recently discovered and truly enjoy. What I loved about Sebastian’s review was how genuine he is in describing Fate Man. I am very intrigued and would love to further explore the house of Amouage.

  • Fate Woman I have smelled , but not the male counterpart.
As a woman i do love the house of Amouage , but to be honest i mostly prefer men’s versions.Reflection Men > Reflection Women , Lyric Man>Lyric Women and so on.
Own full bottles of Jubilation XXV – 100% unisex fragrance too , Journey Woman -the only one on pair with men’s version, and 10ml decant of Lilac Love-a fragrance i adore , and i do plan to get full bottle.
I have to say i really like remark here -> “Now I know what you might be thinking… CUMIN? That’s an unpleasant odor… but used in perfumery it dry, pungent, peppery, slightly dry and spicy.- Michelyn Camen ”
Michelyn remarks are always on point. Peppery , dry and spicy I like.
Thanks to Sebastian and Europerfumes for the draw. USA

Pierre Negrin made one of the best incense fragrances on the market – Interlude man. To me Interlude Man is one of the best , if not the best ever created in this category . Stunning fragrance.Happy to own it. Finished 3 bottles during the years , and i’m waiting for the 4th to arrive is a few days.
Fate Man is new to me , but i like masculine spicy and woody, and the big plus is the incense, one of my best smells ever .
Thank you for the great opportunity USA

  • I’m surprised the ultimate cumin fragrance isn’t a Serge Lutens! That interested me right off the bat. Cumin, saffron and immortele. Ultra dry! That is different from typical Amouage. I don’t know if I have an ultra dry fragrance. I can’t imagine it. Sounds like an Indian kitchen! I’m in USA. Nice job, Sebastian.

The description of the cumin dry notes along with the Amber undertones, it sounds great.
