Jeroboam Origino Review (Vanina Muracciole) 2015 + Musk Starts Here Giveaway

Jeroboam Origino review

Jeroboam Origino by Karl.

Jeroboam Origino, the first fragrance from the exclusive Jeroboam collection, was launched in 2015 at Esxence and is a collaboration with Francois Henin of Jovoy Paris. Composed by Vanina Muracciole, (who Sr. Editor Nicoleta Tomsa once wrote is “a virtuoso musk alchemist.)” Origino is a captivating olfactory journey that leaves an indelible impression. Let us delve into the enchanting world of Jeroboam Origino.

The Power of Musk:  Musk has long been associated with sensuality and attraction, making it an ideal ingredient for crafting a perfume which is a scented weapon of seduction. Jeroboam Origino harnesses the irresistible allure of musk, creating an aura that captivates the senses. Its composition strikes a delicate balance between the freshness of vibrant notes and the sultriness of musks, resulting in a fragrance that exudes both confidence and magnetism.

A Fragrant Symphony: Jeroboam Origino opens with a burst of zesty bergamot, lending a vibrant and invigorating start to the fragrance. This bright introduction is complemented by the subtle heat of pink pepper and the earthy essence of juniper, adding depth and complexity to the composition. As the fragrance evolves, a gentle spiciness emerges, courtesy of nutmeg. This intriguing note infuses Origino with a touch of intrigue, keeping the olfactory experience dynamic and engaging.

The Heart of Musk: While Origino boasts an exquisite blend of ingredients, the heart of the fragrance lies in its cocktail of musks The musks create a mesmerising aura, enveloping the wearer and those around them in an irresistible cloud of allure. These musks are expertly blended to strike a balance between warm and cool tones, amplifying the fragrance’s seductive charm. As the scent lingers on the skin, the musks weave an invisible web of enchantment that captivates and seduces.

A Harmonious Conclusion: The final act of Origino unfolds with the arrival of sandalwood, an ingredient renowned for its creamy and comforting nature. This woody note provides a soft and velvety foundation, enhancing the overall richness of the fragrance. As the symphony of scents harmonizes on the skin, Jeroboam Origino leaves an impression, a lingering reminder of its captivating power.

  • The intriguing notes and uniqueness of this fragrance strike me I really admire the bottle design as well. Karl’s review was in my opinion packed to the brim with interesting facts and it presented the brand really well. I live in Trzebnica, Poland, EU.

  • I do know Insulo from the house which is an occasional scent for me. I had no idea that Origino is what started it…sounds fitting. After reading Karl’s take sounds like something that can be pretty signature and get alot of use.

  • If you’re a fragrance enthusiast you know Jovoy , but Jeroboam I think not many people know about , me included. I can easily chatter about Jovoy perfumes , Les Jeux Sont Faits is my favorite Jovoy , underrated tobacco and rum gem I own , I also own 10ml decant of Fire At Will , but I have no experience at all with Jeroboam.
Karl Topham took me to woody , musky and spicy trip with Origino , seductive potion I’d love to win.
    Thanks for the draw

  • I’ve been interested in trying Jeroboam Fragrances. Karl definitely has me wanting to try Origino. I’m a big fan of Musk. Love his description about how musk makes us feel. Thank you for this Chance USA

  • Musk is the heartbeat, the steady rhythm of fragrances. I love when pefumers dedicate an entire formula to the seductive power of musks and Jeroboam Origino certainly seems to do so. Karl spoke of the duality of musks as they bring both warm and cool touches to a fragrance, and that is one of my most favorite musk traits. I especially love those that give a hot iron and cold steel scent all at once. So sexy and mysterious! Best of luck to all. I love in NC, USA.

Notes: Bergamot, pink berries, nutmeg, juniper, musk, sandalwood. I loved Karl’s description fresh, spicy and musky I am intrigued by the notes and perfumer Vanina Muracciole is just an absolute master at her craft. Thanks a million from the UK

  • leaves an impression, a lingering reminder of its captivating power. A beautiful and seductive fragrance just a brilliant review by Karl I think this really hits the bullseye. I am particularly fascinated by the notes. Thanks a lot from the United Kingdom

  • Though I believe perfumes should not be linked with a specific gender, I love how Origino has a more traditionally masculine opening but a more feminine drydown, making it a truly genderless fragrance. The spiciness of pepper with a musky heart and creamy sandalwood in the end make it a intriguing perfume. Thanks for this review that conveys all the seductiveness of this Jeroboam’s work of art.

Musk, non offensive spices , and the fine balance in Origino i enjoy the most.
The “confidence and magnetism” characteristics are always appreciated. Origino i think is versatile and quite attractive.

Thank you for the review, Karl!
Jeroboam Origino is a fragrance that I would really love to get my nose on, and surely love to wear. The bright opening of bergamot proceeding to that note of nutmeg (lovely!) to the cocktail of musks, which sound like such a sexy blend, then to its woody finish…Bravo! I can only imagine how good this one is!

  • I sure want to put my nose on a well crafted musky piece of art <3!
    Greetings from Romania, EU 😀

  • I haven’t found a musk fragrance I really liked since the original Body Shop White Musk; clean and simple. Origino sounds like it takes its musk seriously. I appreciate that many musks are blended in the heart of the fragrance and the addition of the spice, juniper and sandalwood seems to bring some heat and depth to the composition. I’m in the US.

  • wandering_nose says:

There are a number of captivating and alluring musks in the perfume universe but when there is a mention of Jeroboam and Vanina Muracciole in relation to a musky creation, that can only mean a masterpiece. I love a well blended concoction evolving around the sultry and come-hither ingredient, there is something timeless about it. I like that based on the notes, there doesn’t appear to be much sweetness in Origino, making it more mature and even more seductive to me. The bottle is SO up my alley too! Thank you from the EU.

  • petergigov says:

The spicy musky , and woody properties of Origino I find suitable for all occasions, from going on dates, to rainy days in the Fall, even for the times I’d like to be alone on the porch drinking tea and reading a book.
What I all find appealing in Karl review is the sexy and comforting feeling in Origino , and knowing at the soft clean type of musk was used.
Les Jeux sont Faits is not just best smelling Jovoy, but it also gets me nice amount of compliments too. I do have plans for a Parisian trip, and visiting Jovoy will be a top priority for me , I’d like to finally discover Jeroboam, and the Jovoy fragrances I still don’t know.
    Exciting giveaway, USA

  • Jeroboam Origino is focused on musk but is a bright composition with the inclusion of juniper and pink pepper as well as sandalwood. USA.

  • Oh boy, Karl did an amazing review here.
Jeroboam is a fragrance house I really love since I tried Vespero, being my favorite one from the brand yet.
Origino seems like something I need to add on my collection asap. I love the fact that it has a vibrant opening, the musk comes to play forward and is present since there and the ending with sandalwood makes it perfect. I hope I get my nose on it soon.

  • The combination of musks at the heart of Origino sounds really compelling and lovely! I appreciated Karl’s detailed descriptions of the journey of this fragrance, from the bergamot and juniper in the opening, to the core musk, through the sandalwood. I am based in the US!

  • WaltherP99 says:

One of my favorite things on Cafleurebon, is reading about fragrances I know , especially when the reviewer opinion is different than mine. Origino case is unique, i almost complexity agree with Karl about the way it smells, performance, and the scent profile, but at the same time I do not agree with his overall perception of the fragrance. Without a doubt Origino is well blended woody aromatic, with well pronounced musky and spicy nuances, and I genuinely love the way it smells , still I don’t think it’s enchanting, and especially seductive. Since I’m
familiar with all Jeroboam fragrances, excluding Floro, I can say that at least to me all Insulo , Oriento , Gozo and Ambra are to a certain degree seductive, Origino is not. To me it’s a well suited for business meetings, and formal occasions fragrance.
    My favorite Jeroboam is Insulo.
    All profiles I already follow , including @francoisheninjovoy , @waltherp99bg
    Thanks a lot

  • I really like their bottles! The perfume sounds really sensual and warm and I’d like to try it.

  • Nutmeg and juniper caught my attention. I’m a fan of unique fragrances and Origino sounds wonderful. The addition of pink berries seems to add some spice to Origino. Thanks for another awesome draw. Mich USA

  • Hey from Toulouse, France. Karl’s review beautifully captures the essence of this fragrance, from its vibrant opening with zesty bergamot to the mesmerizing cocktail of musks. I enjoyed Karl’s attention to the harmony and balance within the composition, as well as his depiction of the comforting conclusion brought by sandalwood. It’s a testament to the power of fragrance to evoke emotions and create a captivating experience.

  • I haven’t tried many musk-focused perfumes, so I enjoy reading about the various ways perfumers approach the style. Reading Karl’s description of Jeroboam Origino, Francois Henin’s take on musk sounds less gossamer than many, incorporating both a zesty opening, spice, and woody sandalwood. The inky black packaging seems telling; this isn’t just a hazy skin scent. I also appreciate the precise, restrained notes list.

    I’m in the midwest, USA.

  • Uncle1979 says:

I would like to try this collaboration between talented owner and perfumer , respectively Francois Henin and Vanina Muracciole .
Karl Topham take Origino made me think of making, and later on eating Armenian Nutmeg Cake , drinking bergamot juice, while being on a walk with my girlfriend in Paris .
I’ve sampled Jeroboam , the black bottles only , and to me Insulo is undoubtedly the best one. Top quality vanilla fragrance , to me it smells like Pecan Caramel Rum Cake and some tobacco.
Appreciate the review, and the giveaway campaign.

    Hello!
What I love about this review that it looks like an olfactory itinerary through the notes of the perfume!
It hits the point: me too, I’ve always found musk to be enchanting and sensual; it’s one of my favorite notes! Along with pink pepper at the opening and sandalwood as a base note it should be beautiful!
    Greetings from Switzerland!
    Thanks!

  • I’m always in for a great musk, and Origino sounds awesome. The fresh opening with citrus, pepper and juniper sounds rather unusual in association with cozy, balanced musks and the sandalwood is one of those base notes one cannot go wrong with.
What I enjoyed most about Origino in Karl’s words was the promise of a “fresh, spicy, and musky composition, Origino is a remarkable fragrance that encapsulates the allure of seduction.”
    Commenting from the EU.
    Thanks for the draw!

  • I’ve tried a few JEROBOAM samples and Origino was the best of them. It’s a powerful, strong, rich and unforgettable fragrance.
I wish i could win this bottle.

  • Thank you, Karl, for this lovely review, it portrays Jeroboam Origino as a remarkable fragrance that embodies the allure of seduction. I enjoyed Karl’s review because it effectively described the fragrance’s composition and its ability to balance freshness and sultriness. The blend of vibrant notes, subtle spices, and a mesmerizing cocktail of musks creates a harmonious and enchanting experience. The inclusion of sandalwood in the conclusion adds a comforting touch, leaving a lasting impression of the fragrance’s captivating power.

I like the way Karl explored the different acts of Origin. I love a fragrance that takes me on a journey. I enjoyed reading about the seductive heart stage of the fragrance. Who doesn’t want to walk around in an alluring scent cloud?

  • Thanks for the review Karl!

Origino was one of the first fragrances from Jeroboam I’ve tried. Such in incredible Musk fragrance. I didn’t wear it as much as my partner did, but we both love our Musks!

I often find it hard to describe the sensation I have with fragrances, but your description of a mesmerising aura, enveloping the wearer and those around them in an irresistible cloud of allure, it’s like you read my mind.

    Greetings everyone
Walking into Jovoy in Paris is a special experience , fascinating place with huge amount of elaborate fragrance brands from all over the world.
I like how Mr Topham let us know about the reason he believes Origino is seductive. Fragrances performe and smell differently on each of us , I do perceive the fresh and spicy start , and the woods and musc , although I think Origino is a perfume I’d rather wear on my workplace, rather than going on dates.
I do live in Paris for quite some time now , of course I’m aware of Jovoy boutique, and Jovoy and Jeroboam . I bought a lot of fragrances over there, almost all in person, including 2 x Jovoy, and 1 x Jeroboam . N1 Jovoy is Incident Diplomatique , N1 Jeroboam is Ambra
Thank you, American living in Paris France

  • Outstanding review by Karl of Jeroboam Origino. Karl says that “Origino takes you on an olfactory journey like no other.” Which is awesome to hear that fresh, spicey and musky is what I love. Greetings from the USA.
