The Origins of Meo Fusciun Parfums: Meo Fusciuni (Giuseppe Imprezzabile) is an Italian artist and aromatorio, established his perfume house in 2010. Drawing inspiration from his background in literature and music, Fusciuni infuses his creations with the essence of poetry, creating olfactory compositions that unfold like verses on the skin.     The uniqueness of the house and the fascinating stories behind it spark my interest. I love all of the storytelling. This house is really a pearl. I’d absolutely love to win Sogni beacuse it’s so mysterious but appeals to have a deep connection to people because of it’s notes that for sure makes it a wonderful masterpiece. It’s also really amazing that it was partially inspired by Japan. I never tried Meo Fusciuni but probably Sogni or l’oblio would be my favorite. I live in Trzebnica, Poland, EU.

    I didn’t realize Encore du Temps was a finalist this year. Meo was in Portland OR for an event recently and I regret not getting tickets early enough. I heard he was great fun. I love that Meo is trying to bond humans to the earth through well crafted artistic fragrances. If I’m so lucky, I’d love L’oblio. I like that it is based on his travels. Thanks for the chance. USA.

    Of the three, L’Oblio sounds like the most intriguing to me because of Karl’s description. Mentioning it was meant to recreate the smell of ancient temples in Cambodia speaks to me.     I would like to try Encore Du Temps . Meo’s creations draw my attention because of his poetic expression through perfumery. His perfumes merely are there to achieve objectivity of the world trends. I don’t expect to like the scent from the beginning. I am rather willing to take time to develop my liking toward the scent, sharing Meo’s journey in time. I am sure that’s how he would want us to appreciate his perfumes.

    L’Oblio has been a recent favorite of mine, for the past few months, and knowing it was inspired by Meo Fusciuni’s experience in Cambodia explains my obsession even more. Having lived in Japan and visited Thailand, the temples in both places hold such strong visceral memories for me and thinking of L’Oblio in this context was like putting a puzzle together in my mind. I have found it so comforting and peaceful, and now I know why! I would be thrilled to have a full bottle, instead of emptying decants repeatedly. I am in the US. Thank you!

    Meo Fusciuni’s emphasis on and homage to the raw materials in each fragrance, and his alchemical approach to combining them and forging a connection between the wearer and the earth that establishes a strong sense of place is really interesting to me, and is what sparked my interest within Karl’s review. I hope to win Encore du temps and live in New York, USA. I haven’t yet experienced any scents by Meo Fusciuni, though I’d really love to sample Sogni, based on the incredible reviews that have been written about it here!

    I love the artistry and poetry behind each of Meo Fusciuni’s fragrances! Encore du Temps really calls to me, with its different kinds of tea and florals and spices, Karl speaks of a complex olfactory journey that I’m dying to take. I know the brand does florals well based on my favorite one I’ve tried from them: 3# nota di viaggio. If I am lucky enough to win, I’d chose Encore du Temps. I’m in MN, USA.

    These reviews by Karl are an excellent introduction into not only the ingredients of these scents, but the atmosphere and story Fusciuni shares with the wearer.

    I find myself most drawn to Notturno. At times theirs is something comforting about a bit of melancholy, and this scent seems to embody that. This feeling combined with the noted that have been listed, I’m not surprised it is one of the house’s signatures! I have not been able to try other scents by Fusciuni, but am excited to continue looking into his work.

    It looks like Notturno and Encore du Temps stay loyal to Meo Fusciuni’s fragrance DNA while L’Oblio is a relatively different and more novel composition because it does not seem as dark as the others. Makes sense as Meo Fusciuni Parfums L’oblio is inspired by Cambodia. My choice is Meo Fusciuni Parfums L’oblio. I am in US.

    Meo Fusicuni Parfums Notturno would be my pick of the 3 being offered. Notes of tobacco, resins, and woods really speak to me and my nose but I’m the other 2 are great.

    Nice post Karl! I agree with you: Mr. Imprezzabile is the poet of perfumery and instead of words he uses fragrances to express thoughts and emotions. He has a vision of perfumery as an art (of alchemy). But also an amazing technical level of composition rooted in nature and the botanical world. Some of his scents are inspired by his travels, so locations ares the feelings he experienced in those places are represented. “Notturno” is an introspective travel to the night with the ink as mayor player with the help of resins, spices and wood. “L’oblio” are his fragrant memories of Cambodia and dedicated to the oblivion (perhaps of the Angkor temples for so many years) with incense, spices, and florals. “Encore Du Temps” narrates her love story with his wife and hace a more radiant approach as his perfumes, more ethereal, with white asian flowers (osmanthus and champaka), spices, and woods. I live in Spain, EU and I would like to win “Encore Du Temps” .

    I only recently learned about the house and have been keen to try a few, namely Notturno, Spirito and Encore Du Temps. I think Meo’s background in ethnobotany, and his various inspirations for his fragrances are what draws me TK the house most. Tough pick, but I’d go with Encore Du Temps for this giveaway if I were to win. I’m in the US.

    I love listed notes for L’Oblio. I know how present in a person’s soul a trip can be, especially in a place as exotic as Cambodia. I don’t know if I will ever get there, that’s why I would like to experience this country through Giuseppe Imprezzabile vision.

    I would like to express my gratitude to Karl for writing such an amazing review and for organizing this giveaway. What caught my attention right from the start was the description of Meo. They portrayed Meo as an alchemist who perceives raw materials as the essence of his perfumes, meticulously choosing and blending them to craft scents that deeply resonate with the human spirit. It truly resonated with me! I browsed Meo’s website and I like this quote very much: “I’d like to move people with fragrances, tell a story without images or sounds, almost without touching that little perfumed cloud that, close to us, spreads”
    Among the three options provided, I would choose Meo Fusicuni Parfums L’Oblìo. The combination of tobacco, resins, and wood appeals to my olfactory senses, although I acknowledge that the other two options are also excellent. It’s worth mentioning that I haven’t had the chance to try any fragrances from this particular brand before, so I would be thrilled to make Meo Fusicuni Parfums L’Oblìo my first experience.     Meo Fusciuni Parfums sounds like a passion project for someone interested in exploring how scent intersects with human experience.     I love how Karl highlighted some of Giuseppe’s motivations and ethos behind his creations. I truly think he is one of the most poetic and creative perfumers working. I bought a bottle of Varanasi after reading the review on Cafleurebon and it was akin to a signature scent to me from the moment I smelt it. I truly appreciate the voyages Meo Fusciuni perfumes take me on.
    I was particularly intrigued by Karl’s description of Notturno. It truly sounds like it embodies the house in terms of its introspective and reflective nature. I am fascinated by the ink note as well as the tobacco element in it. It conjures to me images of being in a long forgotten study in times of great discovery both of land and of mind. I would love to go into the deep darkness in my mind with this composition. I have no doubt it will be as rewarding as delving into a great work of literature like War And Peace or Ulysses.

    I believe Meo is one of the best noses as for now in Italy, as he manages to create unique fragrances that are literally pieces of art. His previous works as an herbalist are captured inside every bottle of perfume he creates. His perfumes really embody the essence of the places, the music and the pieces of literature he get inspired from.
    My absolute favourite Meo’s perfume is Luce, a spiritual journey through the first light of dawn with its birch, leather and vanilla notes. So it would be awesome to have its counterpart it the “Cycle of Poetry”, Notturno.

    I love how Meo Fusciuni draws inspiration from the world of literature, poetry, music and nature. This approach really speaks to me as it shows the perfumer’s sensitivity to beauty in all its forms, and creativity as he strives to come up with new ways of expressing emotions through his creative process. Mate seems to be one of the staple notes in Giuseppe Imprezzabile’s fragrances – happy to find out as I have fallen for the note a while ago. I haven’t smelled any of Meo Fusciunoi Parfums fragrances but would hope to win Notturno – love the way it addresses the mysterious darkness around us and within us.     I love it when different art forms are fused. Whether it’s Music or Poetry and Perfume, I love it when an idea is expressed in a way that it plays with all my senses.

    L’Oblìo is the fragrance that speaks to me the most. I love serene and peacefull fragrances in these stressfull times and I’m actually quite curious to what a Cambodian temple smells like!

    The inspiration behind each of Meo Fusciuni’s creations drew me into Karl’s review. Each creation offers a unique olfactory journey:
    Notturno – A journey to one’s dark side.
    L’Oblio – A journey through Cambodia
    Encore du Temps – A journey of fleeting moments of Love and Passion
    I find each unique and very appealing. However, the notes in L’Oblio and Notturno both speak volumes to me…with an ever so slight edge going to L’Oblio for my choice should I win this giveaway.

Based on Karls reviews what sparks my interest in the his 3 fragrances is moments being captured like a journey to Cambodia or the fleeting moments of passion and love.     All three of Meo Fusciuni’s parfums sound like fragrances I would truly enjoy and love to wear.
    With Notturno, I love the depth this fragrance has. And I find myself appreciating the way tobacco parfums like these play on my skin. With its notes of Iris and orange I sense this would blend beautifully in its woody and resinous bouquet.
    With L’oblio, I am so curious of Meo Fusciuni’s interpretation of his experiences in Cambodia. I have visited Cambodia once back in 2017 and its oriental aroma that followed me wherever I stepped still lingers in my memory today. With L’oblio’s blend of incense, spices and florals I can imagine this would paint a beautiful illustration of Cambodia.
    With Encore Du Temps I find myself most drawn to this creation. I love nothing more than when white florals are married with spice and woods. Oh, how I adore the note of green tea as well and would be so curious to get my nose of what I imagine to be a beautiful, timeless fragrance. This is the one I would just love to win!
    Sogni is a personal favorite of mine!

    Great review by Karl of a fantastic fragrance made by a fantastic house that is Meo Fusicuni Parfums.
    I first tried Meo Fusicuni with Little Song and it blew my mind, it became my favorite from the brand until now.
    I think that Notturno is surely a gem, I love that it has Tobbaco, resins and wood as main notes and that it captures the night. Another one who got my attention was L’oblio, because it is inspired in Cambodia, just amazing.
    I would love to win Notturno.

    The perfumers connections with so many aspects of what drives art, and the phrase “Unfold like verses on the skin” totally piqued my interest, and the journeys told through the fragrances themselves sound like exactly the kind of vacation I’m looking or these days. L’oblio sounds like it would be more my thing with the temple incense and mate and mysterious Easternness, but the likening of Notturno with the scent of Ink (well, Essence of ink) sang to my writer’s soul. I live in the USA

    religious experience.
    Notturno I’m curious about because of the
    “thoughts and emotions that emerge under the cloak of darkness” , together with tobacco and woods.
    L’oblio helps us imagine Meo Fusciuni trip across Cambodia, and smoky and floral experiences he had there.
    Encore du Temps
    The cup is full not just with green tea , but also with citruses, apricot tones , leather and some Asian emotions.
    I’ve never smelled Meo Fusciuni fragrances before ,our of the 3 fragrances chosen by Karl Topham, Notturno is the delicate, and mysterious fragrance i’d like to win.

    Meo Fusciuni Sogni Asian charisma is so appealing to me. In all Notturno, L’Oblio and Encore du Temps more darker notes , and tones are effectively used by the aromatorio , at the same time non I find gloomy but tranquil.
    I believe Notturno will suit me the most, complex and enigmatic fragrance .All Black Everything monochromatic outfit is what I’m thinking right now.

    Even if these three creations are quite different, judging by the notes, the photos featured in Karl’s review, the dark bottles, even the looks of Giuseppe Imprezzabile make me think of complicated and mysterious fragrances, speaking of worlds we only see in our dreams.
    I have only tested L’Oblio, and it comes to support my initial feeling :).
    I guess I’d like to get acquainted with Encore du temps – we still have time, time to dream, live, love.

    So grateful to Karl and the other editor to tell us the magic that Meo Fusciuni creates and gives us.
    I’ve put my nose on each of Meo Fusciuni’s fragrance and I have to say..it’s impossible to pick a favourite. They are incredible states of mind, novels from far away and stories from around the corner, harmonious poetry of simplicity and truth. Every fragrance resonates in me in a different and intense way.
    I can say which is the first perfume i chose: Shukran – 2^nota di viaggio, a thankful and beutiful hommage to Morocco.
    Few months ago, when i was at Esxence, I was really touched by the moving and emotional way Federica described Encore du Temps, the perfume of a timeless Lovestory..theirs <3
    So I would like to welcome this one in my home!

This is my first time hearing about this fragrance house and Karl’s review was informative and all the insight provided, so I really appreciated that. The names and descriptions of the scents were quite intriguing, in particular Encore du Temps – the description was particularly poetic and romantic. I would love the opportunity to sniff all three, but that would be my pick for sure based on the backstory/inspiration and the notes themselves. Thanks again, from Canada!

    It was fascinating to read about the eclectic inspirations for the Meo Fuscini perfumes. An incredible amount of care and soul is put into each composition. Ultimately, L’Oblio resonates the most with me. I have some fond memories of visiting Angkor Wat as a solo travlerer, and L’Oblio would spark some powerful memories.

    I love a fragrance with a ton of progression throughout its wear, so that aspect of Meo Fusciuni’s perfumery is really interesting to me (I hadn’t thought of that aspect as “olfactory compositions that unfold like verses on the skin”). The brand’s focus on Fusciuni personal experience of natural environments is intriguing as well. Of the three fragrances here, the most abstract caught my attention; Notturno has a more diverse range of notes than I expected and I’m curious how it reads on the skin. I haven’t tried any Meo Fusciuni Parfums fragrance and it sounds like a worthwhile Discovery Set.

    Through Meo Fusciuni unique background , unparalleled fragrances, and Mr Topham review images of Enigma, the most expensive black diamond in the world came to mind.
    Could the alchemist like Meo Fusciuni create comparable to rare black diamonds perfumes? I think he can.

    Meo Fusciuni has been on my radar with the moody presentations, global inspirations, and poetic descriptions. Encore du Temps would be my pick to win, a scent that includes tea, osmanthus, and champaca sounds tailored to my personal taste, the kind of perfume I could appreciate in almost any mood. I haven’t tried this line yet, by reviews alone I’d guess Sogni and Encore du Temps would be most likely to land on my favorites list. I live in us USA. Thank you for the reviews and the draw!

    What interests me about Karl’s reviews of Meo Fusicuni Parfums Notturno, L’Oblio and Encore du Temps is how Guided by a deep love for poetry, botany, and the esoteric world of alchemy, Meo Fusciuni (whose birth name is Giuseppe Imprezzabile) crafts scents that transcend traditional boundaries. They have all these unique collections including coffee and cacao. These three fragrances incorporate resins, tobacco, and herbal mate. My favorite fragrance from Meo Fusciuni is Little Song. If I win I would choose Notturno. I am from the USA.

    It’s interesting how all Meo Fusciuni fragrances are connected to distant countries the talented “aromatorio” visited during his lifespan. The quality ingredients combination is leading to a cryptic message you have to discover for yourself.
    All Notturno notes i like a lot , together with the melancholy feel coming from the fragrance

    This was a wonderful write up on this perfumer and perfume house. I was not familiar with them until reading this. All 3 scents sound incredible. I like that iris and sandalwood are used in all the formulations. Honestly, I am having a hard time selecting just one, if I were to win. So, should I be the lucky winner, I will leave it up to you on which one to send me. But if pressed to make the selection myself, I will choose Meo Fusciuni Parfums Encore Du Temps.

    Laid back , free your mind and soul is the hidden message in all his creations.

    I’m familiar with most Meo Fusciuni fragrances, except for Encore du Temps, and Songi , a house for sophisticated fragrance enthusiasts. I genuinely believe Meo Fusciuni almost encoded his soul into brand’s DNA.
    if I have to rate my favorite ones:
    1.Little song
    2.Notturno
    3.Luce / 3# Nota di Viaggio Ciavuru d’Amuri (first formulation)
    My opinion of the fragrance is different compared to what Karl is getting, dark and gothik indeed but I clearly perceive red wine ,and distinct molasses like sweetness . My pick if I win.

    Thanks for the wonderful review. It’s really cool to see this house rooted in so many artistic/creative traditions.

    I was excited to hear that they were selected to be an A&O award finalist.

    I loved reading about PArfums Notturno. Capturing darkness, melancholy and nostalgia through the use of incense, iris, Helichrysum, Palo Alto and Orange is really an interesting way to do it.

    I do hope to get my nose on this brand at some point.
