Xerjoff 1861 Naxos Review + Italian Classic Draw

Xerjoff 1861 Naxos Review

Xerjoff 1861 Naxos collage by Michelyn images from Sebastian

Xerjoff 1861 Naxos is one of the fragrances you will reach for again and again. It’s a classic. Xerjoff Naxos 1861 is an Oriental spicy fragrance with surprising fougere-like elements. Opening with a bright bergamot at the top along with aromatic lavender give way to honey and spice in the mid notes that enrich the sweet tobacco and tonka of the drydown, With excellent longevity and projection, Naxos is great in autumn and winter months.

Note: The Xerjoff 1861 collection celebrates the 150th year anniversary of Italy’s unification. –Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

I’ve always loved this scent, and Sebastian nailed it when he said, “…what more can I ask for?”

I live in Nashville, TN, USA.

  • Michael Lynady says:

    Always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews.
I’m a big fan of Xerjoff Naxos is beautiful and perfect for the cooler weather. One of the best from the house imo. All the notes work perfectly together. Their use of citrus is so good in the warm weather collection, but it’s just enough to balance out the deeper notes in Naxos.

  • Carlos De La Torre Jr says:

I watch Sebastian reviews on fragrance everyday and I just love how descriptive he is and honest.
I love Tabacco and honey. I need to smell Naxos.

My fav that I’ve smelled is Kobe since i love neroli-orange fragrances.

  • I have only ever tried Naxos from a 2ml sample, and I used it up within hours. I’ve always been intrigued by the scent, but simply could not afford the price tag for a full bottle. Sebastian’s review reminded me of how much I remember loving the scent, and I would love to be considered for the giveaway. Thank you.

    Beaverton, OR.

  • I love how detailed Sebastian’s review was- it gave me such a great sense of what the scent would be like. I’ve never tried Xerjoff before, but I also want to try Nio!

  • Pam Kalamaja says:

Naxos is my favorite Xerjoff juice. I love the honey tobacco lavender vibe. So sumptuous. I love Sebastians review as he is honest and gives a beautiful description of this juice based on his superior nose.

  • I’ve never tried anything from Xerjoff but would love this to be my first fragrance from them. I love Sébastien’s channel and how precisely he describes the scents. His emphasis on the fougere aspect of this mixed with the honey and tobacco make me really want to try this. Ohio, USA.

  • I enjoyed how Sebastian broke down the fragrance and explained how he gets a fougere feeling along with the oriental spiciness of the fragrance. I also liked that he explained from opening to drydown and the most prominent notes throughout as well as his comparison to Pure Havane. I’m not sure what my favorite Xerjoff fragrance is I briefly tried and very much enjoyed Naxos and would love to own it. I also really like others ive tried like Mefisto and Mefisto Gentiluomo, Uden Overdose, Alexandria II, Erba Pura, etc. Im in CT USA, thanks so much for the generous draw.

  • I have seen other reviews that says it’s an expensive clone of Pure Havane but Sebastian really explains why it’s not!! I like that it has honey and tobacco with lavender
    Great review as always. USA

  • Jerry Howard says:

I’ve never tried this particular fragrance, but Sebastian’s review made it sound like a great signature scent for me.

  • Tobacco mixed with sweet notes and lavender…hmmm…smells good! It is perfect at this time of year. It is his favorite from the house. I want Naxos! Havent tried this house yet. IL, USA

  • My favorite part of the review is how gorgeously Sebastian described the scent. Made me feel like I NEED to get my nose on it. Love the frosted bottle, too.

  • scentastic27 says:

  • Michael Bullock says:

I would like to win this fragrance because it sounds good and I like mugler pure havanne and I live in Ponchatoula Louisiana.

  • alialdujaili says:

Naxos is one of my favorite scents that I have tried, Sebastian has summarized exactly the smell of this scent to my nose when described the combination of Tobacco, Honey, Cinnamon & Lavender. In spite of the many Tobacco scent available, but Naxos remains on my top two.
I’d love to participate in the giveaway.

    Phoenix, AZ – USA

  • I just watched his review of Naxos and what I enjoyed the most was learning of the similarities to Mugler Havane. I’ve heard so much about this scent and Sebastian’s presentation of the notes has made me really want to try it!

  • I appreciate how Sebastian articulates the nuances of a fragrance in ways that paint such enticing olfactory pictures. I would the chance to win the bottle. I am in the state of PA in the USA. Thank you!

  • therealotitis says:

Sebastian’s reviews are always fantastic! He describes everything that I look for in fragrance reviews, from perfect descriptions of scent that always match what the real thing, to accurate descriptions on longevity and projection. My favorite Xerjoff fragrance is Erba Pura, I think that one is a beautiful and one-of-a-kind fruity floral scent!

  • His review was highly praising and he made it sound wonderful. I have only tried samples before and would love to win a full bottle. Richwood is amazing as well

  • Sebastian says it has prominent honey and tobacco notes and also has fougere elements. Sebastian has reviewed Naxos in the past, too. My fav. from Xerjoff is Naxos. US

  • His review was highly praising and he made it sound wonderful. I have only tried samples before and would love to win a full bottle. Richwood is amazing as well. From GA, USA

  • Hashim Madani says:

What I appreciate about Xerjoff 1861 Naxos is the honey tobacco blend plus the jasmine note Sebastian describes. My favorite Xerjoff perfume is the heavenly Accento Overdose – love it. VA, USA.

  • Julius Greene says:

Loved Sebastian’s description of the notes is this fragrance would love to win and and wear it for the cold winter days here in Alaska!

  • Have yet to experience the world of Xerjoff! Sebastian always summarises my fave fragrances so well so definitely interested in trying this!

  • Taghi Hashemi-Sohi says:

As with all of sebastians reviews, once again he’s display another great example of his vast knowledge of the fragrance world. Calling on this information he’s accumulated an insightful review filled with information that lets me almost smell the fragrance without actually owning it. His reviews have never let down, and are a huge piece of my growing love of fragrances. In a time when I was only just introduced to this world my own journey of discovery was at it’s first steps I happened upon one of sebastians top 20 lists, and haven’t stopped since. Like gasoline to a flame his videos ignited and transformed what started as just an ember to a roaring flame of wonder and curiosity that’s let to a growing collection of fragrances that have become one of the joys and a source of pride in my life. Thank you again for these videos and I hope this comment offers some insight into what your channel has done for me especially in a time when the world is going through so much, and how so many things in my life are uncertain as a result. There is one thing that is certain though and that’s the incredible amount of content you put out every week, and it’s something I continue to look forward to everyday.

  • I have…two tobacco-based fragrances and I agree that they work beautifully in the fall and winter. I have been holding back from purchasing Pure Havane, but winning this would be great. That, and it would be serve as an introduction to Xerjoff!

  • Sebastian is always my number 1 fragrances reviewer. His descriptions are always so detailed and on point. I got most my perfumes based on his reviews. That was why I got a 1ml dabbing sample of Naxos from Luckyscents (that’s the only sample option Luckyscents offers) as I always love tobacco note. I think that the 1ml dabbing sample is not working. It was just enough for 1 test and dabbing the perfume would affect its performance and breaking the molecules so I didn’t get a full bottle. I do love Xerjoff as a house (I got Alexandria II, 40 Knots and Golden Dallah). Wish I can win this giveaway. I’m in Los Angeles, CA, USA

  • I really enjoyed Sebastian’s review of Naxos. It seems absolutely perfect for the cold weather and spring alike. The note composition sounds like a dream! Lavender, honey and tobacco; what more can anyone want around this season? Xerjoff is an amazing house and I would love to try it out for myself! Cheers!
    California, USA

  • I really enjoyed the fact that Sebastian describes Naxos precisely and he also uses visual aid while describing the notes that the fragrance contains. Therefore, I get to imagine somehow the layers and facets of the perfume, which makes me like it even more.
In the other hand, my favorite launch from Xerjoff is More Than Words.

I live in San Antonio, Texas.

  • I have only ever had a 2ml sample of Naxos but it immediately became my favorite from Xerjoff upon my first wear. I like how Sebastian kept mentioning lavender in his review of this fragrance because, for me, that note is what really pushes this above other tobacco scents in its class. Would love to have a bottle of the stuff!

  • I always watch Sebastian’s review because you can easy say he have such passion. Now I really want to try Xerjoff Naxos . My favorite Xerjoff to this day is Erba Pura.

  • I appreciate that Sebastian says, in other words, that this fragrance is a lot of things that Sebastian would want in a fragrance: that it has fougere qualities, that it has tobacco and honey, that it’s sweet, spicy and more. I am very interested in trying it since Sebastian calls it a classic. So far, I haven’t tried any fragrances from Xerjoff, but I want to try all of them. I live in MD., U.S.A.

  • Raven Walker Jackson says:

I love how Sebastian demonstrates the fragrance with images. The images really give off a clear feeling on how the scent smells. I have never smelt nor do I own a fragrance from this house. It would be great to finally have a bottle from it. Thanks for the giveaway!

  • Sebastian is one of my fav reviewers on YouTube as well as Insta! I enjoy watching his descriptive unbiased reviews. I have heard so much about this scent but haven’t had the opportunity to test it. Honey, tobaccos, Tonka with freshness of bergamont, what else can you ask for indeed! I’m based in the US

  • zacharyari23 says:

I always enjoy Sebastian’s YT reviews. There’s a family farm near us that sells wonderfully delicious lavender-infused honey. It’s a staple in our home. I can’t wait to try this. I am familiar with Xerjoff, but haven’t had the opportunity to try Naxos. I recently had a chance to try Golden Dallah and I was blown away. Xerjoff never disappoints.

  • Oh I really love the notes in this fragrance! Great review by Sebastian, I always knew that people compare Naxos to Pure Havane which I love, but I didn’t really know about the lavender and bergamot in Naxos. This makes me want to try it even more. Unfortunately I don’t have any favorite Xerjoff fragrances, they are a bit outside of my price range for now. But since I love tobacco I always new Naxos is the first one I want to try! I’m from Illinois, US.

  • Awesome review!!! I love everything about this scent! Bergamot is one of my favorite notes! Combined with lavender and honey, I’m in heaven! Thank you for the review and draw! Im in Colorado USA

  • I’ve recently become a fan of Ivory Route (my current fav), but Naxos would probably be somewhere in my top 5 from Xerjoff. Absolutely do get the similarities to Pure Havane, although it’s definitely its own fragrance. Love that Sebastian mentioned the fougere-ish qualities, because apart from the persistent honey, the blend has this warmth that I often get in classic fougeres. Don’t remember getting lavender in the top though. Superb easy reach for the autumn and adds a “layer of awesomeness” indeed! LOL I’ve honestly never wanted to win a bottle this bad. 🙂 What a great gift this one would make! MI, USA

  • Love all of Sebastian’s reviews, I esp like how he brought up the Fougere aspects of Naxos as that’s a big part of what I love about it. From Xerjoff, I’ve only sampled Naxos but I’m looking to try out Uden and Nio soon.

  • I love this scent. Xerjoff Naxos is my favorite. As Sebastian mentioned, the honey and tobacco work so well together! Perfect for the cooler months.

  • Love naxos, it’s my favorite from the house of xerjoff. I have a sample that I’m almost down with. Would love to win a bottle of this. Thank you from New York

  • Xerjoff Naxos is my favorite. As Sebastian mentioned, the honey and tobacco work so well together. Perfect for those cooler months!

  • I enjoy him as a person. He’s always given his best description on a fragrance and will give you a good idea on what it smells like. He’s a great reviewer.

  • What I liked about Sebastian’s review is he mentions the differences it has with its often compared to Pure Havane by pointing out the lavender and fougere-like qualities, which is nothing like the Mugler. My favorite Xerjoff is 1888. Cheers from Indiana, USA.

  • The thing I liked most about the video was his comparison to Pure Havane. I do not have any stores near me that feature Xerjoff fragrances, but I do have a sample of Pure Havane I purchased. This helped me picture what this fragrance would smell like. I also liked how he said the Xerjoff was more tobacco focused, because Pure Havane is a bit too sweet for me.
    Minneapolis, MN

  • I enjoy him as a person. He’s always given his best description on a fragrance and will give you a good idea on what it smells like. He’s a great reviewer. I haven’t got the chance to experience any of xerjoff fragrances so I can’t give you a favorite yet but this one sounds promising.

  • I enjoyed hearing Sebastians impressions of this fragrance, I like fougeres, I like sweet tobacco frags and all that good stuff but honestly this remains a mystery to me how all those come together and I feel like I need to try it out to know why it’s held in such high esteem. I don’t have a favorite from the house because I haven’t smelled any… yet! In Michigan USA

  • Sebastian is able to describe everything with so much detail and storytelling. I have learned a great deal from him and his great guests. The only tobacco fragrance I have is Tabarome, so I plan to explore more tobacco fragrances in the future.

  • The honey, spice and tobacco notes sound wonderful. Sebastian mentioned the cinnamon note also, which I like during the colder months. I enjoy 1888 from Xerjoff. Mich USA

  • John Michael Jones says:

I enjoy all of Sébastian’s reviews. This one stands out cause I can tell he genuinely enjoys this fragrance as much as I do. My favorite Xerjoff is a tie between Naxos & Zefiro. Man, I’d be beside myself to win a bottle of this gorgeous composition. Good luck all from Boston!

  • You can’t really go wrong with honey and tobacco! I love how Sebastian points out how huge the tobacco presence is but that lavender is prominent in the opening. Honey, tobacco and lavender are three of my favorite notes! I’m from Pennsylvania

  • Susan Boyce-Lesse says:

Thanks for your review as always and I’m unable to buy that perfume right now but maybe in time because I love the notes. Tobacco Oud Patchouli Vanilla just to name a few which is why Tom Ford Tobacco vanille is my signature scent and I’m trying to build on that so please include me in your giveaway..stay safe

  • I trust Sebastian’s insight on fragrances. This is one I have had my eye on! It Could not be a better time to win something so yeh good luck everyone!

  • Adrian Holubek says:

My favorite part of Sebastian’s review was the description of the honey and the tobacco in this scent. My favorite Xerjoff is Accento.

  • I have never tried a Xerjoff perfume, but this review gets my interest way, way up. I liked how Sebastian picked out the most important top note (lavender), heart note (honey), and base note (tobacco), and gave a sense of how these work together, both with each other and with the other supporting notes. He made the fragrance seem almost like a poem. I am in the US, in NC.

  • Per usual, Sebastian knowledge of fragrance was evident. He always gets right to the point without a lot of unnecessary chatter. As of the writing of this comment, my favorite Xerjoff is Laylati.

  • Bryant Worley says:

I appreciated Sebastian’s enthusiasm for Naxos, which lends anticipation for trying it. Then there’s his thorough breakdown of Naxos, along with letting us know that it has very good quality(especially in comparison with “that other” fragrance).
Currently, my favorite Xerjoff is More Than Words.

I live in Waldorf, MD, USA.

  • Sebastian always does such a great job describing a fragrance so you can picture it before you smell it. I don’t have a favorite Xerjoff as I’ve never smelled one.

  • Jonpollock25 says:

I love how every time Sebastian does a Ca Fleure Bon review he shows pictures of the notes. I could really smell the pipe tobacco and lavender and feel the bees stinging my face! Well done!

  • Something I always enjoy in Sebastian’s videos, this one included, is that he mentions other similar fragrances (also making note of where they differ) so the viewers can better gauge if they would enjoy the perfume. I have not tried a Xerjoff perfume before so I do not have a favorite, but every note listed in this one is a note I enjoy. Hopefully I will find this one to be a favorite! Thank you for the opportunity and review.

  • Geronimo Bautista says:

always on target with his reviews… he walks the walk
because of him I’m into perfume collections
    right on!

  • Even though this seems like a “cold weather fragrance” and I live in the Caribbean some people would stay away from that, but not me, I wear whatever I feel like! Sebastian is always very thorough and unbiased. My experience with Xerjoff is mostly with the Casamorati Lira, Tosca and Dama Bianca and I adore the three of them. Would love to add this to my collection. Greetings from San Juan, PR, USA.

  • Love a quality fougere. I’ve had the opportunity to try a few Xerjoff fragrances but not this one yet. Favorite is Lira. Commenting from MD, USA.

  • Charles Medeiros says:

I have long wanted to try this fragrance. It is such a high end house. I will get this at some point in my life! Another awesome review by Sebastian. You are the only one I trust..

  • Tiffany Burgess says:

Sebastian’s review is nuanced, and thorough, giving us everything from the fragrance family to the type of setting the fragrance can remind you of. He compares and contrasts Naxos with Mugler’s Pure Havane. His reviews are for everyone – from the novice to the aficionado “fraghead”. I do not have a favorite Xerjoff fragrance, but Naxos, Luxor, More Than Words, and Mamluk speak to me. It would feel wonderful to win the bottle of Naxos.

  • Perfectly described the scent that I absolutely love but have not been able to grab a bottle of it yet. My favorite Xerjoff fragrance is currently More Than Words, which sits beautifully on my desk.

  • Love this fragrance! One of Xerjoffs best fragrances! Always a fan of Sebastian’s reviews too!

    Excited to enter the review!

    I live in ID, USA

  • Geez! The amount of traffic that comes from Sebastian’s channel! Whow..

That being said, PLEASE send me a bottle.
My 4yr old daughter needs to smell something different on me for parfumerie’s sake.

-I’m instilling a “nose” on this young one and hope she reaches “sommelier” (fragrance-wise) status by the time she becomes of age.
I’ll still push, athletics, education and the arts but parfumerie? Help me pay for her education..

  • I do think he is honest and straight to the point in details of how good a perfume is and his recommendation always stands out. Great YouTuber !!!

  • I liked the comparison portion of the review and I have to agree that it is slightly different than PH. I just received a sample of this from luckyscent along with Alexandria II. My favorite was the Naxos. Great review.

  • I’ve never experienced Naxos but…Lavender? Honey? Tobacco? Fougere?! You are speaking my language. This fragrance sounds very intriguing to me! Thank you for another unbiased, informative review.

  • I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews. I had a sample of this at one point and I really liked it. I hadn’t really noticed how fougere-like Naxos is until Sebastian mentioned it. I remember the tobacco and the honey being very prominent but there was another aspect that I couldn’t quite put my finger on… it was the lavender. I would love to revisit this fragrance again by winning this drawing!

  • Sebastian’s tastes seem to coincide with mine, Naxos is one of my favorites from the house, along with Italica

  • I liked how Sebastian talked about the lavender and how for him he got a
Oriental Fougere vibe from it. But, he had me at Honey and tobacco! Sweet and spicy yes, please! Fingers crossed I win the giveaway, haven’t tried anything from this house yet.

  • alexstang@gmail.com says:

I think hearing Sebastian’s mention of this feeling a little bit like a fougere was interesting. The lavender doesn’t seem that prominent, but it does give it a little bit of a distinction from other honey/tobacco based fragrances.

  • Always enjoy the breakdown of the notes and usually any good back stories that come with the reviews, wanted to know how an honey note works I have yet to put my nose on any

  • Gabriel Garcia says:

The perfume guy, has been very helpful in this review, although I don’t have a lot of experience with the brand, I only tried the knots stuff, and it was very good.
I hope This naxos is a good one.
    Thanks
    Las Vegas NV

  • “with a bright bergamot at the top along with aromatic lavender give way to honey and spice in the mid notes that enrich the sweet tobacco and tonka of the drydown”

    Exactly , very well said
Xerjoff fragrances are multifaceted , and Naxos is prime example. I know it’s considered easy to wear fragrance, still i don’t think you should buy it without sampling. Not sure it’s because I’m a woman, but lavender is strong through the whole time. Try it first, if you’re sensitive to lavender.
Not for everyone , but to me , undoubtedly a stunner .
Naxos was my favorite Xerjoff for a long time, but after sampling La Capitale just last week, I now have a new favorite.
    Generous giveaway, thank you. USA

  • thewongandrew says:

Have yet to find a tobacco fragrance I truly enjoy, would love to give this a try based on Sebastion’s description of this fragrance.

  • I don’t have a favorite Xerjoff fragrance as I haven’t tried any yet. What I liked about Sebastian’s review is that he always does such a great job of describing a fragrance notes and how it performs. An oriental fougere sounds divine and I love tobacco fragrances. Thanks for the draw, I live in the USA.

  • I adore Naxos but have’t been able to purchase a full bottle yet! I can’t say which Xerjoff is my favorite because there are so many to like. Mamluk and Naxos with the honey notes would certainly be the top two. I absolutely agree with Sebastian on the lavender pushing a strong Fougère quality in Naxos. I’ve been watching Sebastian for a while and I love that he isn’t a “hype beast”. He calmly discusses the nuances of the fragrances and gives his opinion. I am subscribed to looking good, smelling great (on YouTube under Meredith Davis). Thanks so much for the chance to win such a wonderful scent!

  • Sebastian knows how to describe fragrances so well!! Always on point. My favorite xerjoff fragrance is erba pura though i love honey and tobacco is perfumes

  • I loved hearing Sebastian talk about Naxos, particularly the part where he described it as being a “gooey tobacco fragrance.” My favorite from Xerjoff so far has been Nio.

  • EricTheAviator says:

Sebastian is my go-to reviewer, he’s like the professor of scent knowledge..I like his description on this one, describing the fougere elements added into your typical honey and tobacco scent to make a timeless masterpiece. I’ve never tried any Xerjoff and I have been very interested in this one since I’ve started my fragrance hobby!

  • I love how knowledgeable Sebastian is when it comes to describing fragrances and notes. It seems like every time I watch one of his videos I learn some new jargon or something about a fragrance that was previously unknown. I haven’t gotten my nose on Naxos yet, but as a lover of Tobacco fragrances, I can’t wait to try this fragrance. Thanks for bringing it to my attention Sebastian, and thank you for the chance to win a bottle, ÇaFleureBon!

  • As a young fragrance enthusiast, Sebastian’s channel and reviews have been very informative in building a modest fragrance collection. Personally, I do not own Naxos, but I have had the chance to sample it before and it really is unforgettable. In this review, Sebastian said, “ the tobacco and honey working together is a match made in heaven”, and he is absolutely right. Specifically, the gourmand of the honey, fougére of the lavender, and earthy richness of the tobacco make this fragrance stand out from its counterparts such as Pure Havane. Ultimately, I would love to obtain a full bottle of this fragrance, and it is the perfect time of year for such an amazing scent. Thank you for considering me!
    Greetings from Wheaton, Illinois -USA.

  • Naxos should not be judged by the opening , because the magic happens in the drydown. When it’s settled down on skin, it reminds me of traditional Russian Honey Cake, Russians call it Medovik . Nice pipe tobacco accompanies the the smell of the cake.
THE best Xerjoff I’ve smelled called Italica. Exclusive to Harvey Nichols in UK , and really hard to get in US. Smells very, and I mean very similar to a traditional Toffee Almond Cake . It’s a traditional Italian cake. I’m pretty sure the cake was the inspiration behind Italica. One of the best realistically smelling gourmands , and top 3 gourmands in my collection, and I have over almost 100 gourmands now .
Appreciate Sebastian review review, and the giveaway campaign
    USA

  • I always love Sebastian’s reviews, because he is spot on with his discussion of the notes, and how this fragrance compares with others which might be similar. I don’t have a favorite Xerjoff fragrance. Many thanks to Sebastian and many thanks to Europefumes for making this draw possible. I’m in the USA

  • kenny Lazarre says:

I would like to win this fragrance, after watching how eloquently reviewed this masterpiece

  • Sebastian is always genuine and we share similar taste, I have some great experience with his recommendations. His notes comparison between Naxos and Pure Havane triggers my interest – I love oriental spicy fragrances with a twist, and here a Fougere twist sounds really interesting.
My favourite fragrance from Xerjoff right now is Nio.
    Boston, USA

  • Loved Sebastians review. As with all his reviews he has a great knack of describing a fragrance where you literally can smell the fragrance in your head (if that makes any sense). Sounds like an absolute amazing fragrance and being a fan of pure havane I’m sure this won’t disappoint

  • I love the way Sebastian breaks down the notes that make up the composition, then describes how they work together to create a truly intoxicating scent. I’ve sampled Naxos and it is my favorites from Xerjoff.

  • craig campbell says:

Even though I never owned a perfume from xerjoff, sebastian makes me want one. Great review, describe the main notes really well. tobacco is my favorite winter time note and I am glad Xerjoff 1861 Naxos has it.

  • Awesome perfume, I don’t own a bottle of xerjoff but this one is a winner for me One of the main notes is tobacco like Sebastian said. great stuff!

  • I love Sebastian’s reviews and I’m really interested in the fougere-like top notes he mentioned mixing with the honey and tobacco. My favorite Xerjoff is Erba Pura

  • Karlon Warde says:

In Sebastian’s review I loved how detailed he was in his description of Naxos, as well as how he drew the similarities and contrasts between Naxos and pure havane – which has intrigued to not only try Naxos but to commit to owning a bottle. The review was very stand alone and the different facets of Naxos were brilliantly discussed. It’s always a pleasure to watch Sebastian’s videos.

  • I love honesty of Sebastian’s reviews, and this one in particular. And he’s talking about my favourite Xerjoff fragrance! I love it from it’s coziness from honey.

  • Tyler olszewski says:

I always enjoy his reviews and naxos is one I’ve wanted for a longggg time :). Its exactly what I want in a fragrance. His review was quick and to the point and provided perfect amount of information about naxos.

  • Xerjoff became my new obsession this year. I have six fragrances from all their lines, but I feel that those are not enough. Each one is very special and unique and each one deserves the attention of fragrance lovers. My next fragrance purchase will be another famous Xerjoff, Alexandria II. Naxos seems to me a bit manly, as I know the fragrance, but I love wearing manly perfumes, in combination with very delicate outfits and attitude, in order to create a contrast. CA, USA

  • Thanks for another great review, Sebastian! Your description of Naxos is on point, as always. Tobacco and honey, a beautiful combination! Thanks for this opportunity. – CA, USA

  • I always love how sebastian gives his own real world connections to a fragrance, it makes the review almost 3d because you can apply and recognise similar instances in your life that would give you a frame of reference as to how the scent would smell.

My favourite xerjoff is al khatt.

  • I love Sebastians enthusiasm and deep appreciation of fragrance. Naxos is a gem. An underpriced gem. I have been buying samples and deviants for years. I’d love a full bottle. Just in time for this fall/winter/spring

  • I love xerjoff fragrance they smell amazing and the bottles looks so nice. As I always enjoyed Sebastian review he always goes in detail to explain the fragrance.

  • Sebastien’s reviews are the best. I like tobacco fragrances so that would be great opportunity for me to win this bottle.

  • Sebastian had me at “Gooey tobacco fragrance”. I love the sound of tobacco and honey freshened with lavender, it sounds delicious. My favorites from xerjoff (that I have smelled so far) are Lira and comandante, but would love to smell more!
Thanks for the giveaway, commenting from NY.

  • MarcelRoosUSA says:

I’m a big fan of Sebastian’s reviews, he has mad fragrance knowledge!

I like how he describes the scent in detail. Naxos is definitely more refined and higher quality than Pure Havane. Overall it is an amazing fragrance with compliments for days. I would love to own a full bottle 🙂

  • I love Sebastan’s reviews and short conclusion of Michelyn.
Naxos is one of the most favorite perfume from Xerjoff- fresh, tobacco and with warm honey.
I would like to win this bottle.

Really enjoyed the fragrance note breakdown by Sebastian. He gives a good sense of the scent based on the connection he makes to Pure Havane. I’ve never tried tried a Xerjoff fragrance but I do own Insurrection II Wild which has similarities to Pure Havane. I’d enjoy winning this fragrance. Appreciate the opportunity for the giveaway! Best from Virginia, USA!

Sebastian is my go to reviewer when I am considering purchasing a fragrance. Naxos has been on my radar for some time. My favorite Xeroff fragrance thus far is Nio. I own 4 other Xeroff fragrances: Uden, 1888, Renaissance, Mefisto. I love tobacco scents, and own most of the popular ones, except for Naxos and Tobacco Vanille. As a neo collector, I would be excited to win Naxos.

  • Love how specifically he breaks the notes down. I’m a fan of tobacco scents, so this review really made me want to get/try this one.

I haven’t smelled a lot Xerjoff’s but i’m planning to, especially when I’m in Miami next month. I own the Mefisto Gentiluomo and love it, so I guess that’s my favorite – but I’m hoping to get a more interesting winter/fall scent from Xerjoff. My current go to winter scent is TF Tobacco Vanille, but def planning on getting one from Xerjoff. I’ve smelled Lira and that one is amazing too.

  • I always love Sebastian’s description of his favorite notes. Our noses tend to agree!

My favorite current favorite is Mefisto!
    I live in California.

  • My favorite Xerjoff fragrance is Naxos. What I enjoyed most about Sebastion’s review was the note breakdown of Naxos.

  • Randy Barfuss says:

I love how Sebastian breaks down every individual note and describes the best occasions to wear Naxos.

  • Michael Werno says:

Loved Sebastian’s description of each phase of this fragrance and how it develops over time. My favorite Xerjoff is Uden Overdose.

  • I love Sebastians review! I’d love to own this fragrance because it sounds so beautiful with the tobacco and honey! I have or du serail by Naomi good sir and I’d love to own more fragrances like it and it sounds like it’s up in the same alley! My fave xerjoff fragrances are Bouquet Ideale and Ivory Route!

  • Husain Humaidan says:

I have the original formulation of Pure Havane and I do love it. I would like to have Naxos in my collection as Sebastian says it is the better of the two and I am pretty sure that would make me happy!

  • Naxos is my favorite among Xerjoff frag, it have very nice smell that stay with you day long. Plus the bottle Sebastian holding so pretty. I hope I got chance. I live in CA USA.

  • ScentitarFragrance says:

What i enjoyed most is again his description of how the fragrance feels and the main accords ! I love the honey and tobacco of this one and it is so gorgeous and honestly, it is my favorite from the house . This is much better than pure havanne in my opinion ! Really hoping on this one. much love , happy holidays and be safe !

  • I love the way he describes the notes you sound like the perfect fall, winter and spring or just might be a year around Fragrance!! Lavender and honey are the notes that’s been having my attention!! I’ve been trying to get a bottle of this for 2 years hopefully I get an amazing Christmas present for myself this year

  • I enjoyed Sebastian’s honest yet flattering review of Naxos, particularly his description of the way the fragrance develops throughout its wearing. My favorite Xerjoff at the moment is Renaissance. Thanks!

  • I’ve read a lot about this fragrance and I’m very curious to see how the honey and lavender notes work with the sweet tobacco. I am in a DFW area. Thank you!

  • Wow, this has to be at the top of my wish list. I am a huge fan of tobacco and honey, and to have them together in a fragrance of this quality must be divine. Some of my favorite fragrances are Spicebomb and Pure Havane.

What I liked about Sebastian’s review is how he talked about it having fougere qualities. I was under the impression that it was strictly a sweet tobacco fragrance, so I learned something new. As to what my favorite Xerjoff fragrance is…I haven’t been able to try any. They are not sold locally to my knowledge. But even if I tried the whole line, I’m pretty confident that this would be my favorite. I’m in IL, USA for the giveaway.

  • Thanks for the fragrance review by Sebastian. Naxos is such a great great scent from Xerjoff 1861 line. And I have tried it before from buying a decant bottle. The honey, the tobacco are just great!! So I’m interested to win a full bottle of Naxos and keep using this great fragrance! <3

  • I enjoyed Sebastian’s review because I was curious as to the difference between naxos and pure havane. He did a good job describing how the two differentiate from each other.

  • We have a classic one today 🙂
Xerjoff is one best niche brands ever created.
Their portfolio is vast, you’ll easily find a fragrance you’ll enjoy, no matter what your taste is. At this moment I own 6 Xerjoff bottles . My favorite one is Mamluk.
Naxos goes through a lot of phases, fougere is the opening, oriental semi gourmand in the base. I still remember the first time I’ve smelled it. It was from the original stocky transparent bottle , with big X on the front. Like it , or not time sure flies for all of us, except for Tom Cruise , he’s internal 🙂
All the profiles I already follow on Instagram. Thanks

  • I enjoyed his detailed description of the notes, and I’m always curious to see how lavender can work in perfume. I don’t have much experience with Xerjoff, but I did like Casamorati Lira. I live in the USA.

  • I love the sound of this combination of notes: bergamot, lavender, honey and tonka! I could snuggles up to this: clean, relaxing and comforting. Thank you, Sebastian for your review. I still have yet to sample any of this company’s creations – would love the chance!

  • Alvin Hinchen says:

I like the breakdown of the notes.Especially the base of honey and tobacco. Naxos is my favorite from Xerjoff

  • Xerjoff has a lovely assortment of fragrances. Without sebastian’s reviews I would’ve never found Erba Pura. I’d like to get a chance of winning this bottle.

  • Marine Weiss says:

I enjoyed Sebastian video because he is very clear and professional in describing fragrances. Naxos seems to bee the perfect fragrance for a winter in California, spicy and sweet but also fresh and citrusy, I can’t wait to try it.

  • natalia eliza says:

i love the way sebastian described the notes of honey and tobacco. i don’t own anything from xerjoff, but i would love to have naxos as my first!

  • The way he brakes down the notes make me want to try this even more!! Never smelled honey as a perfume before so this particular one, I’ve tired to add to my collection for over two years !! Hope I get an amazing Christmas present for myself !! 40knots was my first intro into this brand and is currently my favorite!!

  • I found Sebastians review interesting as describing this scent as masculine, I’m very feminine and I just love Naxos! It feels very unisex to me. I have a small decant and I find it so addictive especially in the colder days. Something about honey and tobacco warming up on the skin just brings me joy.

  • incensemaster says:

I loved the way Sebastian described the fougere qualitites combined with the spicy sweet tobacco heart of Naxos. I am a lover of tobacco fragrances, and this one is a masterpiece. I’ve only smelled Xerjoff scents a couple of times, and this one was my favorite. This is one of my grail perfumes, so I would love to win this bottle.
    IN, USA

  • I always appreciate Sebastian’s great descriptions of fragrances. His reviews are very informative. I have not tried many Xerjoff fragrances, but I do like Naxos. Watching from Pennsylvania, USA.

  • From Sebastian’s Review, I really liked the fact that he called the fragrance a gooey tobacco fragrance, that sounds both amazing and delicious. I would very much like to win a bottle. I do not currently have a favorite Xerjoff fragrance though.

  • Thank you for the excellent review Sebastian.

I really enjoyed the way the you described all the way that the notes in the fragrance play together. The idea of a tobacco fougere is something I’ve not thought abotu before.

The only Xerjoff that I have smelt is Kobe.

    Cheers from Madison, WI

  • “Lavender at the top , honey at the heart , and finally tobacco in the base”
Xerjoff is up to date brand , with catalog of fragrances looking at the past , but dipping into present , and the future too. With what Sebastian said , Naxos is somewhere in between i think . Comforting one , I need to finally try it . I’ve smelled maybe 10-12 Xerjoff fragrances, but not Naxos. Kobe , Nio , More than Words and all really good .
For clubbing I have Lira , my favorite Xerjoff , and my only bottle.
    Fantastic draw. In USA

  • Sherin Thomas says:

I love how Sebastian explain the notes on this awesome honey tobacoo fragrance. Love the honey note in this. From PA,USA

  • Please pick me! I recently got into fragrances, but was never able to afford a luxury fragrance like Creed or Xerjoff. If I get picked, that would make me very happy. Thank you!

  • I liked hearing Sebastian elaborate on the notes of honey and cinnamon and how great they compliment each other. The way he reviews his fragrances always make me want to try them. I still have not tried any Xerjoff fragrances before so winning this one would be nice! I live in Florida, US.

  • As always, great review from Sebastian. He always seems to shine a different light on a fragrance than I’m used to. In this case, mentioning how he felt Naxos was more or an oriental fougere. This makes it much more interesting to me, when I used to be put off by the comparison to the Mugler. I’ve been meaning to try a xerjoff soon, but haven’t gotten around to it just yet. Naxos is at the top of the list. Thanks for the chance to win, from Idaho USA.

  • I really enjoyed hearing about Sebastian talk about the basenotes of fragrance since that is one of my favorite parts of fragrances. I really liked how the vanilla and the tonka bean and the tobacco really blend together nicely. This fragrance sounds wonderful! I am still working on trying a Xerjoff fragrance still! There are no department stores near where I live!

  • I absolutely love the honey – lavender note and Sebastian clearly explains this in his video. My favorite Xerjoff is Renaisance 1861

  • I hope I get lucky enough to win this bottle! Love fragrances, but was never able to afford a luxury fragrance like Creed or Xerjoff. Thank you for your reviews, Sebastian. You got a new subscriber.

  • Acchan Matthew says:

Sebastian explains the musky cashmearan note in this fragrance that gives the Cosy feeling. Love it a lot . My favorite is Nio

  • Sebastian elegantly describes the honey boozy aspect of this fragrance and I love boozy scents. My fav is Xerjoff Uden .

  • David Gallego says:

Sebastians nose is one that I always trust when it comes to fragrance. Would love to get a bottle of this to try it out myself.

  • I have had the privelage to smell this perfume and what I love about Sebastian’s review is how accurately he describes it. I absolutely love this fragrance, really the tobacco and lavender are prominent to my nose and smell absolutely gorgeous. From all of Xerjoff, this fragrance is up there but my favorite from the brand is still Alexandria II. Kind regards from Illinois, USA.

  • I think Sebastian is a really underrated fragrance reviewer. I like that he is unbiased and not swayed by countless ads and promotions like other youtubers are. I have always been a big fan of Naxos but have not been able to get a bottle myself.

  • Another fantastic review from Sebastian. I have already had this fragrance on my wish list. It is such a delightful and cozy composition. I love a slightly boozy touch and a bit of tobacco at the bottom. Makes anyone smells divine. 🙂

  • Jc Santistevan says:

I was literally saving up for payday for this fragrance! I ordered a sample off of luckyscent and absolutely fell in love with it. What I get out of this fragrance is a lot of honey. It’s perfect for the winter time. For me it’s a masterpiece and I like it a lot more than pure havane. I can see why Sebastian loves it too!

I was literally waiting for payday for this fragrance I bought a sample half of it from Lucky scent and absolutely fell in love with it. I can see why Sebastian likes it more than pure havane and I agree. For me I get a lot of honey out of it and it is great l fragrance for cool weather!

  • I love how Sebastian describes the scent. He is always spot on with how it smells. I really love his channel because he is authentic. Although I have not tried the real 1861 Naxos, I have tried the Alexandria fragrances dupe. I would love to try the real deal though!

  • Enjoyed Sebastian’s review as always. I’m a new to Xerjoff fragrance house and excited to get started collecting.

  • Andrei artimon says:

One of the best from the brand , would be happy to be on the winning wnd of this one , nee york , usa .

  • I had a sample of this years ago. Sebastian’s review is spot on. Anytime I need information about a scent I am considering I always check youtube to see if Sebastian has reviewed it. My favorites of the Xerjoff line are all in the Casamorati section: Lira, Dolce Amalfi, 1888 and Bouquet Ideale. Thanks for the chance. USA.

  • Enjoyed the review by Sebastian. I recently sampled Naxos. Nice scent but not a favorite yet. I’d like more time with this. Thanks for the giveaway, Ca

  • Wow Xerjoff giveaway 🙂
I have such respect for the brand. As overly vain person , wearing Xerjoff fragrance is a special experience . I feel untouchable like Eliot Ness .
My favorites are Lira and Opera . Love them equally .
I could be into minority in the Cafleurebon community, but Naxos i don’t know. Mixing such a different styles in perfumery, like fougere and honey oriental, is not something you see everyday. Hopefully I’ll get a bit of both. Tobacco is also one of my favorite notes.
    Thanks to Europerfumes and Sebastian
I’m so excited for this giveaway, USA
    Regards

  • I really enjoy how Sebastian breaks down all of the elements and nuances of a fragrance in such a detailed and interesting way. This review is no different. He did a great job of explaining what notes are center-stage and he had me intrigued when he said that Naxos is a “gooey tobacco fragrance, as well as a “fougere oriental.” I love “gooey” fragrances as well as orientals. As someone who has only just begun to get into niche fragrances I have just recently found Xerjoff and I am so glad that I did! What can I say? This house is so opulent and elegant and uses such quality materials in their fragrances. Their fragrances really transport you and tell a story, which is one of my favorite aspects of fragrance in general. I recently blind bought Ivory Route and it is such a beautiful, unique, well-blended fragrance. So far it is my favorite from the house, and easily one of my favorites of my entire collection! This House is my number one of interest right now, and Lira as well as Naxos are next on my wishlist! Thank you very much to Xerjoff for making such exquisite fragrances, and thank you to everyone involved for the opportunity to win this one!

  • What I enjoyed about this particular review, is Sebastian’s breakdown of the notes and how they develop within the fragrance. So far my favorite Xerjoff fragrance is “More Than Words”. Rose, oud, and spicy notes! The perfect combination.

  • A lovely review by Sebastian as usual. Don’t have experience with Xerjoff fragrances, yet, so no favorite. Hopefully, Xerjoff 1861 Naxos will become one of my Xerjoff favorites, as I like what Sebastian says about it. Lavender, honey, on a base of tobacco and tonka beans. Thanks for the clear review and a generous draw. Writing from the USA.

  • I thoroughly enjoy Sebastian’s reviews. Although I have not tried Naxos before, it sounds like a fragrance that I’d love to wear.

  • Because of the honey and tobacco , Naxos has the right amount of sweetness and funkiness , without going over the board . The way it starts you could say it’s a manly scent , but wait until it settles down. I really like it then.
I find Xerjoff to be one the top 5 brands of high end perfumery. One of my the first niche purchases was Lira early 2012. Doesn’t matter is you like safe , daring or sweet, Xerjoff got you covered .
As I said Lira was my first Xerjoff purchase, and I still love it, but it’s not my favorite one, not anymore, Cruz del Sur II is , followed by Golden Dallah and then comes Lira. Thank you all
    Cheers from VA

  • I first learnt of Xerjoff from Sebastian’s YouTube channel and Naxos was a love at first sniff for me. I absolutely love that bright sparkly opening. I’ve also tried and loved ‘More Than Words’ and Mefisto Gentiluomo from the house. Thank you for the review and kind giveaway. I’m in USA

  • Sebastian always does a great job of describing the perfume in-depth – not only the notes, but also the feeling that accompanies it. My current favorite from Xerjoff would be a tossup between Renaissance and Mefisto. Located in California, USA.

  • Sebastian broke down all the notes perfectly and expressed my personal favorite aspects of one of the best tobacco fragrances ever made.

  • Michael Prince says:

Sebastian always gives amazing reviews this one is no different. I have always wanted to try 1861 Naxos due to its sweet honeyed tobacco nature and it’s similarities to Mugler Amen Pure Havanne which I love. My favorite Xerjoff Fragrance is Casamorti Lira. I am from Ohio, USA.

  • Sebastian really nailed it on the head with this fragrance review and description. My girlfriend wears this daily and I could just smell it through the screen. I would love to surprise her with a new bottle this Christmas

  • Thank you for teaching us about this one. It sounds delicious and I would love a chance to try it out!

  • This fragrance is a treasure. I’ve been a fan for a couple of years and it’s one of my absolute favorites. Best fall/winter fragrance. Brilliant scent.
