Atelier Des Ors Larmes du Desert Review (Marie Salamagne/2015) +Tears of The Desert Draw

9

Eric Weiser of Twisted Lily, Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief, and Jean-Phillipe Clermont of Atelier des Ors (November 14, 2018)

I first met Jean-Phillipe Clermont, Creative Director of Atelier des Ors (pronounced Ah-Tahl-yay-Day-Ore) at Esxence in 2015 when he launched his beautiful collection of perfumes in collaboration with perfumer Marie Salamagne. If you are a regular reader of ÇaFleureBon you know that Atelier des Ors has won numerous Best of Scents from our Editors; this year for Atelier Des Ors Crépuscule des Âmes,  Bois Sikar and in 2016 for the almost mythical Iris Fauve. What Iris Fauve did to show the many facets of iris, Atelier Des Ors Larmes du Desert does for guiacwood and amber, showcasing these ingredients in such a way as to gild the scent which opens cool and redolent of cypress and incense then bathe it in a golden light.

Atelier Des Ors Larmes du Desert translated from the French means Tears of The Desert, and in Sr. Contributor Sebastian Jara’s opinion  Larmes du Desert represents the DNA of the brand – it smells like gold and drenches the skin in brightness without sweetness, a masculine leaning oriental with no florals or spice notes, yet suggests warm nights and the heat of the desert sun.  –Michelyn Camen, Editor in Chief

  • I just got my first samples of the house sent to me from a Dutch friend but haven’t sniffed them yet. I am interested in the video but don’t understand how it wears gold and if gold how it sprays cold. My nose doesn’t work this way with color (synaesthesia). But the warmth you mention, I can relate to other ambers that I own. I love amber and resins!!! Mmmm. I live in Ohio, USA, and have heard amazing things about this house and want to try but amber and incense is my jam. I would cherish this bottle.

  • Sebastian and I’ve definitely share the same like in fragrance. I love a woody fragrance that is always my go to. And this one seems like it has a lot of depth and character. I would definitely love and appreciate The chance to smell and where this fragrance

  • This is one of the two Atelier des Ors fragrances I haven’t sampled yet, and it sounds just wonderful.
I enjoyed Sebastian’s enthusiasm, how he elaborated on the scent’s evolution from cold to warm, as well as on how this fragrance is a perfect olfactory interpretation of gold.
My favorite Atelier des Ors creation so far is the sublime Crépuscule des Âmes.
I’d be ecstatic to win Larmes du Désert, since I adore complex and beautifully blended amber scents; if I won, this would be my first full bottle of that remarkable House.
I live in EU, thank you.

  • I liked that Sebastian described this fragrance as warm and golden. I haven’t tried anything from this house. Thanks for the opportunity to sniff! USA

  • HiMyNameIsWaste says:

Guaiac, Cypress and Incense are my three favorite ingredients – a golden blend of those three sounds perfect. So far, Bois Sikar is my favorite scent from the house, and I’d love to try a woodier, more incense-forward scent from the house; hence, I’d love to win a bottle of this scent. I live in Nashville, TN.

  • I enjoyed the way that Sebastian described the fragrance, more specifically the life cycle of the fragrance from the topsto the base.
The description really made Larmes du Desert come alive as if the notes were already in the air. I am an incense lover and the description that Sebastian gave intrigues me.

I have only recently been made aware of Atelier Des Ors and have yet to sample their offerings.

Ohio is where I call home and I am looking forward to sampling from the Atelier Des Ors house.

  • Great…i want try this beautiful combo of Amber and Incens…this brand is super…i’m italian

  • Thanks for the draw and another great review from Sebastian! I’m new to this house, but will definitely be checking it out. I particularly liked the way Sebastian described the scent as initially cool and then warm. I lived in the desert for a while, and it reminded me of the way the desert can be chilly at night and warm once the sun rises. I love the notes in Larmes du Desert, especially the lack of sweetness, of which I’m less fond in the scents I wear. Thanks for the chance to give this perfume a try! I’m in the US.

  • The cold-warm transition that Sebastian describes in his video sounds as magical and mesmerizing as the combination of incense and amber. Atelier des Ors is a brand that mixes the art of perfumery with the aesthetics of the visual and combines it all with a poetic vibe that is taking your mind and all your senses to a creative universe within your thoughts. I admire the whole concept of the brand and I would love to smell “Larmes du désert” someday. I am a big fan of the highly elegant and dangerously sexy “Crépuscule des Âmes” and I absolutely adore the seductive yet opulent “Lune Féline”.

  • fazalcheema says:

Sebastian says it is perfume of contrast, moving from cold to warm. The composition seems to justify the name as the desert is quite hot in the morning but can become quite cold at night. I am in US.

  • Great review, always enjoying Sebastian’s enthusiasm. I did not have the chance to test this fragrance but i do like from Ateliers house, the Bois Sikar and Cuir Sacre. I would love to test this one, thanks for the draw, i am in the EU.

  • Just Add Light says:

Favourite from AdO has to be Lune Feline, since it’s really the only one I’ve smelled from the brand, but the notes in Larmes du Desert have my attention. Anything woody and resinous with cypress equals me-likey. Usually. But what intrigued me the most was Sebastian’s description of the transition from cool to warm (night to day) as the amber and wood come out in the base. Very interesting! Does it really smell like gold? I guess we’ll have to wait and see… Canada.

  • I am a fan of Sébastien’s opinions and I listen to them all … I know Iris Fauve from Atelier des Ors and he is beautiful..it would be a huge privilege to win Larmes du désert..I love the resins+ incense fragrances..I’m from Montreal,Canada

  • I have never had a chance to try anything from this brand, unfortunately. I would very love to own at least one perfume of this brand. The bottles are fabulous, and the scents also sounds amazing. And Sebastian also like this brand, so it must be a really good brand. Thank you for the chance. I live in Europe.

  • I’ve sniffed Lune Feline and loved it, and then I sniffed Larmes du Desert. As Sebastian says, the combination of incense and amber along with cypress is sheer magic. There is something so gorgeous about this fragrance. I would so love to win it, because it combines notes that i truly love—amber and incense. It makes me feel as though I am sitting on the warm sand of the desert and contemplating its sense of the infinite. Thank you for this amazing draw. and stunning reviews. I’m in the USA

  • I like that Sebastian describes how the scent feels like temperature wise and also compared the experience of smelling it to the precious material – gold. I am from Illinois. I have never tried any offerings from this house and I think that this is about the time to own at least one bottle . Thank you for a giveaway!

  • Ivan.napoleon says:

Sabastia s review perfect as usual and Id love to have My first bottle From this house.
    Miami Florida Thanks

  • I love Sebastian’s descriptive gold hot cold lingo and it seems so far we have similar tastes in fragrances so I’d love to try and experience this myself. I’ve not tried this house I’m a little or a lot behind on my fragrances that’s why I recently joined watching Sebastian and I’m not disappointed at all! I’d like to see if I might be able to order a couple decants of this and the other scent he mentioned fr this house. I’m tossing my hat in the pile hoping to win fr Seattle!

  • Love the name Sebastian does a great job describing the the smell.
As for the Gold part , I’m really impressed. This is definitely a fragrance I would love to own. It’s very original and that’s the part I like.
    NYC

  • notoginseng37 says:

I recently ordered a sample of Lune Feline based on Sebastian’s review. Larmes du Desert definitely sounds intriguing and perfect for where I live, the High Desert of Northern Nevada, USA which has 4 seasons.

  • want to get the golden experience sebastian mentioned i like woody scents.Favorites of the house is lune feline. Love the presentation too. Happy new year from Greece

  • I enjoyed Sebastian’s description of the perfume…amber and resins sounds amazing and the bottle looks lovely. Although I have heard of the house,I have not smelled any of their perfumes unfortunately. I live in Los Angeles, CA. I would like to win because the description of the perfume sounds up my alley.

  • I would love to win Larmes du Dessert. It has some of my favourite notes, including guaiac and patchouli. I’ve tried the Rose Omeyyade and was impressed with the quality. Canada.

  • Sérgio Teixeira says:

    Thanks for the giveaway.
Sebastian is one of my favorite reviewers, his descriptions are amongst the most dynamic and passionate I’ve seen and heard. About this fragrance I love the fact that, for him, this is the one that encapsulates the imagery of the brand, being golden all over. Flawless. My favorite from the house is Lune feline. I would love to win this giveaway because I really love the house but don’t own any of their releases.
    Portugal, Lisbon.

  • Monica Beaton says:

I love listening to Sebastian review fragrances – so passionate. I have tried a few of the Atelier Des Ors fragrances – I have Crepuscule Des Ames and find it warm and sensual. Lune de Feline is on my want list, and not I’d love to try Larmes du Desert. Wonderful in that it is both cool and warm, and my latest addiction is amber. This scent glows with both a golden color, real gold, and golden amber. Beautiful! I live in Australia.

  • Tereza Dido says:

My favorite Atelier Des Ors is Cuir Sacré! I haven’t tried Larmes du Desert yet, but Sebastian’s review made me curious. The idea of cold start and the smell of gold sounds so poetic!
    Greetings from Switzerland!

  • doowtnehpets says:

I like Sebastian’s description of the hot and cold play with the notes. Sounds like a winner to me. The notes all sound very dark, but I like it that way. I live in Albuquerque NM USA. Never tried anything from the brand. I’d like to win so I can check out the house.

  • Benoit Villeneuve says:

Sebastien is the topmost authority in the Fragrance web world. Kudos for his passion and knowledge!

  • Thanks for another great review, Sebastian! I love he described this scent as cold then warm and golden. I’m interested to smell this as he describes this as the scent that encapsulates the brand. Thanks for this opportunity. – CA, USA

  • Thank you so much for chance to win a bottle !
I always enjoy Sebastian Jara ‘s reviews and I like his taste of fragrances.
    Greetings from Colorado Springs

  • Thanks Sebastian!

Loved the bottle, the color, and the beautiful description of the fragrance. I am not familiar with this house, but I am intrigued. I love amber and incense so this may be a good fit for me. VA, USA

  • Sebastian tempts me with incense and amber. I would like to smell this gold perfume.PS thank you to Michelyn for the phonetic spelling of atelier des ors
    In California
    USA

  • Robert Quinlan says:

That name is incredible , opulant & matchs the name of the house and bottle

This sounds like such an intresting & complex yet so wearable from the mix of notes!

It sounds like something the three wise men would have worn while walking across the desert , the mix of amber&insence.

    Goodluck everyone!
    Newbridge , Ireland

  • This description of a fragrance going from something “cooler” to something warmer in the drydown is quite intriguing. After watching Sebastian’s video I really want to try fragrances from this house. I’ve heard many good things about Lune Feline as well. Thanks for the giveaway!

  • Larmes du Desert and Cuir Sacré have been on my watchlist for some time, but I haven’t tried them yet. Only Bois Sikar, which was way to smoky-leathery – almost like smoked ham.

Sebastian’s review sounds promising – especially that the fragrance isn’t just another woody-resinous scent, but really seems to have quite a transition.

I’d love to win a bottle to try it and also give others the opportunity to do so through decants.

    Best wishes from Germany

  • This sounds really interesting. First cold, then warming up scent….I like incense and amber. I think This would wear beautiful in the winter.
Would like to test this! I live in Germany

  • yungcherrypops says:

I loved Sebastian’s review because as always it was short, sweet, to the point, but very descriptive. He knows his stuff. I have only smelled one Atelier des Ors fragrance, Lune Feline, and loved it. I love incense fragrances and this one sounds wonderful! Would love to have a bottle! My YouTube username is polaroid caesar, and I am from Alabama, USA.

  • ‘Cold and warm together’ sounds very intriguing. I have guaiac wood oil and it’s very smoky with a hint of lemon cheesecake and facets of resins and incense. I didn’t have the chance to sample this house when I was in Jovoy Mayfair in early December 2018 (but available in Jovoy Paris). Hopefully I’ll be able to so next time in Paris/London.

So thanks a lot for the opportunity. Best wishes from Bangladesh and UK.

  • Gabriel Garcia says:

Thanks Sebastian for the review, and this is the first time I hear about the scent being some kind of juxtaposition of temperature and color,!
I’m a big fan of lune feline.
    Las Vegas NV

  • Gabriel Garcia says:

Thanks Sebastian for the review, and this is the first time I hear about the scent being some kind of juxtaposition of temperature and color,! I would like to win because
I’m a big fan of lune feline.!
    Las Vegas NV

  • I love the way Sebastian tells you how the fragrances smell. I watch his reviews all the time. Wish I could get more fragrances to try that he reviews.

  • Thanks for your opinion on this, I have tried it myself but I remember mainly the opening which is as Sebastian describes. I haven’t made the gold connection or the warmth of the drydown; probably because I tested multiple fragrances in the store and not properly one by one on the skin at home. But I remember liking it quite a bit! EU

  • I loved the way that he Spoke about the fragrance and that he compared it to being gold. Cool comparison… I recently got in to niche and indie fragrances because of Sebastian so thank you Sebastian for helping me getting to know other fragrances then just my designers.
I’m from Sweden and have never tried the brand before and hope to try it.

  • Well i always love to hear Sebastian describing fragrances. He is an expert when it comes to perfumes. I currently have never experienced Atelier des ors fragrances. Where i live there are so few fragrance lines imported to the country involving Atelier des ors. The only way i knew about this brand is by youtube reviews. And what i heard about was that this brand and particulary this fragrance is my style. Warm and cold at the same time with amber.Thats why i really want to win the giveaway.
    South korea.

  • It’s interesting that Sebastian perceives incense and cypress top notes as cold, I’ve never thought of them this way. It makes sense if they’re in juxtaposition to amber and myrrh.
Incense scents have become a new obsession of mine since 2018, I’ve tried a lot and I’ve bought a few the latest acquisition being Avignon. I’d really love to try Larmes du desert: Sebastian keeps talking about how gold the scent feels, I’m such a magpie!

The only Atelier des Ors perfume I’ve tried so far is Choeur des Anges. It’s freezing here, I love how festive CdA smells in the cold air.

Thank you for the review and the draw. I live in Russia.

PS I’ve been a Looking Feeling Smelling Great subscriber for a while now.

  • PPS I’m only half-joking when I say that I’m attracted to shiny metals same as a magpie: perfumery has reflected our fascination with nature for centuries, people have smelled like flowers and trees but at this point creators have started to try to find ways to mirror other elements of the world: CdG with their Tar, Concrete etc. are a good example. Wearing the golden perfume would be an enjoyable experience and most probably, very satisfying.

  • Amber and resins are something that float my boat, therefore this one seems like a winner in my books. I also like the name very much.

Sadly, I do not know anything from this house.

Thanks guys for this great chance!

  • Lara Anderson says:

What a wonderful fragrance with it’s incense and amber, two of my favorite notes. I adore Lune Feline and would love the opportunity to enjoy this one as well. Slowly learning and experiencing this house and have loved everything so far. The “golden” nature of the perfume sounds perfect in reflecting the gold flakes in the bottle. Am in Florida, USA and please consider me for the ability to truly appreciate this fragrance.

  • Have not tried this one and it sounds like cold weather gem. Would love to be picked. US

  • This transition from cooler to warmer is the touch of a master and I am looking forward to the time when I will get to try this particular creation.

I do not have a favourite from this house as I do not know them, but, by reading the reviews, my guess is that Iris Fauve and Lune Feline would be my favourites.

    I am in Eu. Thanks!

  • Loved how clearly Sebastian described this perfume, though I haven’t had the pleasure of smelling anything from this brand (yet) I will certainly look forward to doing it.

    Thanks froms Italy!

  • Jesse Livingston says:

Thanks for giving us a chance to win such unqiue fragrance. Loved stevens review and it intrigues me how this fragrance can seem cool but also warm with the ingredients. I also love Incense fragrances so I feel as if this one would be a fantastic one to check out. Plus it has gold flakes in it. Do I even need to say more?

Also I live in Florida ,USA

  • doveskylark says:

I love that this fragrance reflects the cool desert at night, warming up with the golden sun through the day. I love the mix of incense and amber. And I am very curious about the guiacwood and cypress, the way the notes will harmonise together. I have never tried anything from this house, but I am interested in anything about the desert, so this fragrance certainly appeals to me.
    I live in the USA.

  • Sebastian’s reviews are as usually perfect!!!
As he described- this perfume began with cold notes- insence and bergamot, that turns to the worm notes guaiac, woidy cedarwood. Reakky sounds very beautiful. So that is why I wont to win this perfume.
I like Atelier des Ors perfumes, especially Lune Feline- soft gourmand!
    From Armenia

  • Odecolonoff says:

Sebastian is a great reviewer I see every review with him.
I never have a chance to try a Atelier Des Ors Larmes but I so much wanted, so please helpme god to WIN. I live in Russia, so if you (Creator of the article) read this please give me a chance to win. PLEASE !!!!!

  • marcopietro says:

Great review Sebastian! Your description of Larmes du Desert is so fascinating and suggestive. That combo of incense and amber is really appealing to me, plus I love the note of incense in the fragrances.
I have tried only Cuir Sacré by Atelier des Ors and I like it very much!
    Thanks!
    I live in EU.

  • Sounds like a great fragrance. An incense with resins. Haven’t tried anything from this House yet. I like their presentation and the name for this one. Thanks for the giveaway. U.S

  • Ive not yet had the privilege of trying anything from this house, but this one has to be mu cup of tea. Love amber and love incense so Ive no doubt its amazing. Particularly given Sebastians endorsement. His breakdowns are second to none. Love as much detail as possibly when it comes to development of a scent. He delivered per usual. California.

  • I loved the way Sebastian described the play of cool and warm as the notes of this perfume come through, just like the desert can go from heat during the day and chill as soon as the sun goes down.

    I live in the US.

My favorite Atelier des Ors so far is Rose Omeyyade.

I’d like to win a bottle of Atelier Des Ors Larmes du Desert because the name immediately brought back one of my most precious memories. In the Saharan desert I once saw rock carvings, thousands of years old, of crying with tears rolling down their cheeks. The carvings were so moving in that other-worldly landscape. Also, the description of the notes and the way they develop are right up my alley.

    Thanks for the opportunity.

  • I love how beautiful and simple Sebastian describes perfumes, his emotions. He has good taste in perfumery.
I like woody perfumes_ and there are so nice ingredients in this perfume: churchly incense, warm ans soft-sweet guaiac wood, cedarwood. Sounds very masculine perfume.
I’d like to win a bottle of Atelier Des Ors Larmes du Desert because I like woody perfume and I like Atelier des Ors style.
I like Rose Omeyyade and Aube Rubis.
    I am in Armenia.

  • Goodness! What an amazing competition – I love Sebastians reviews – always so well thought out and he has such great recommendations. We have very similar taste in a lot of things.

I havent tried too many Atelier des Ors but I do have a large sample of Rose Omeyyade to get through and its just DIVINE.

Would love to win! I am in Melbourne Australia

  • Sebastian does a great job with his video. The parfumes are very intresting for me because I’ve never had a chance to smell an Atelier des Ors. I’m very curious about it.
    I’m from EU.

  • James Weaver says:

what I enjoyed about Sebastian’s review of Atelier Des Ors Larmes du Desert is the way he describes the notes in this fragrance the golden amber the incense, This fragrance really intrigues me, I have not experienced any other Atelier Des Ors fragrances. I would love to win this bottle because I do not have any Ambery Incense fragrances .Virginia USA resident

  • Sebastian is the greatest at describing notes. He also makes you want to try the fragrance. This one sounds like a winner. I have not tried any from this brand but have been wanting to try Lune feline. I live in the US!

  • Thank you Cafleurebon and Atelier Des Ors for this fantastic draw !
Usually me and Sebasian are on the same page , but not this time.
My impressions of Larmes Du Desert are very different . Unlike him i see dark inky purple – no gold at all. I don’t know why , but what i get from it on my skin is similar to Mortal Skin by Stephane Humbert Lucas 777 , with amped up incense , and a just bit less sweetness. Beautiful fragrance no doubt with right amount of sweetness.I do get a lot of incense sure, but i also get fruity berry and inky vibe too.
My favorite Atelier Des Ors is Bois Sikar.Unfortunately i do not own a bottle yet.
I am huge fan of the brand – own 100ml of Rose Omeyyade and 20ml decant of Iris Fauve-one of the top 3 iris fragrances for the past 2-3 years imo.I also love Lune Feline , but unfortunately sillage and projection are below average on my skin.
I do love incense, ink and berry vibe i get from Larmes Du Desrt.Hope i’ll be able to win.
I do follow all of you on IG.

I am a subscriber to Sebastian’s channel. Great content.

I would love to get a chance to try it.

    In UK.

  • I love that it has a combination of incence and Amber. Sebastian’s description and highlights on how ow it goes from cooler to warmer is interesting. He did mention the notes and also described how they all come together. Sebastian’s reviews are always the best.
I don’t have a favorite but I’ll love win a bottle of bottle of Atelier Des Ors Larmes du Desert for my dad. He loves perfumes a lot.
    I live in California.

  • hello seb

    great review as always
I would love to win a bottle
and congrats for your presence at pitti
    make me win please

  • I love Sebastians take on Atelier des Ors because he describes the scent as GOLD!!! I would like to win a bottle of Atelier Des Ors Larmes du Desert because I may never be able to experience the MAGIC of this fragrance any other way. I have not smelled any fragrance from the House and I live in CA, USA. Thank you so much.

  • Sebastian always makes things sound amazing. I also love how he brings emotional evokations of the perfumes. I’ve never tried this house, but I would love to win! From Michigan, USA

  • Tears of The Desert – what a great name.As a said a few times here – Sebastian is really good with this-bought so much fragrances (mostly niche) because of his reviews.
Incense is one of my favorite notes , also woody , balsamic , patchouli with some traces of citrus – sounds really good.
My husband owns Iris Fauve , but to be honest i’m wearing it more often than him haha.Iris Fauve is the only fragrance from this brand that i’ve smelled.
Thank you all for the opportunity
Back and forth between USA and Scotland (EU/UK) 1 week is US-> 1 week in Scotland …and so on.

  • I have not tried anything from this house, but Sebastian’s description of the cold/warm aspect and especially the amber and myrrh made me almost salivate – that is SO my jam in perfume. What an amazing giveaway, thank you so much to Cafleurebon and Atelier des Ors.

    I am in PA, USA.

  • I am a huge fan of Sebastian’s videos, I love how he describes the scents – enthusiastic, deliciously, but without any extra-hype. Larmes du Desert sounds so appealing – I love myrrh and frankincense so much, amazingly those two resins can be cooling and warming at the same time. I have tryed only few scents from Atelier des Ors, so far my favorite is Choeur des Anges, super-optimistic fruity osmantus.
Would love to participate in this draw,
    best regards from Latvia (EU).

  • Love that bottle! Sebastian is the best, he really helps me understand the fragrance without smelling it! My favorite Atelier is Cafe Tuberose, sampled this the other day.

I would love to win this since I don’t really have a scent in my collection that fits this profile!

Really enjoy Sebestian’s review as he is always very detailed in his description of what he thinks of the frag. My favorite from the house is probably Luna felline. I’m located in Toronto Canada!

  • Dorian Fischer says:

This bottle looks just so awesome and rich. Also I really like the golden juice. I really enjyoed Sebastian’s review because it was very detailled and by his words I could imagine how this gem smells. Also I am a big amber fan, so it sounds really good to me. I do not yet own any Atelier fragrance but I once tried orange sanguine and I absolutely fell in love with it. Thanks for the giveaway and greetings from Vienna, Austria!

  • Warm, ambery and incensy perfume glowing with gold. Ultra gold experience. Wow! Of course I want it! I live in the EU.

  • deeemolina1 says:

Whew I think I’ve entered every draw for an Atelier des Ors on this site haha! Ever since I’ve set my eyes on those Gold flecked bottles from Sebastian’s channel, I was in love. This house just exudes opulence and regality, not only because of the excellent packaging (but of course the gold flecks help a ton) but also for the note breakdown and choices of accords in each creation. Sebastian mentioned that this sings the same tune as Tauer ACDD and LDDM, and I’m all for it! Myrrh, Incense, and resins? I defnitely would want to smell like Jesus Christ the King! Hopefully the wisemen of Cafleurebon gift me with this 🙂 I may not be worth a million bucks, but perhaps i can feel like it when i spray myself with this.

Lots of Love from the US! More power to you guys!

  • I thought the use of “cool” or “warm” descriptions were interesting. I could see how some resinous notes could be “cool” since some are a bit citrusy or fresh.
I havent tried anything from this house.
I’d like to win for the same reason why I liked the review. It also has a lot of notes I love, and Ive been on a patchouli kick.
Im in IL in the US. Thanks for the draw.

  • Grandiflora says:

What I enjoyed most about Sebastian’s YouTube review of Atelier Des Ors Larmes du Desert is the description of it being “ultra gold. It wears gold. It acts gold. It is gold, in fact.” Who wouldn’t want to try out this decadence? Based solely on this review and my own research, I would say that my favorite Atelier des Ors is Lune Feline! I would love to win a bottle of Atelier Des Ors Larmes du Desert to try though. It’s definitely something different! I’m in the U.S.

  • I would love to participate.

I appreciate Sebastian’s enthusiasm for the story telling of the fragrance. He doesn’t seem like a person who’s particular about notes quality but more caring on the broader view of the creation.

I have only sampled Iris Fauve in the past. I did like it and would love to try the rest of the house.

  • I always enjoy Sebastian’s delivery as he talks about scents. Scents of the desert have always intrigued me. They seem drenched in an old time romance. I have not explored this brand but I would love to start with this one. Thank you for the review and the draw. I am in the USA

  • I liked how Sebastian shared his experience with us and the transition of the perfume from cold to warm. I love their bottles!
Thanks for the review, I live in Europe.

  • Thanks for the fantastic giveaway and Sebastian with another fine review as always, Sebastian mentions Larmes du Desert smells like gold and drenches the skin in brightness…come on now who wouldn’t wanna try this one 🙂 I liked the way Sebastian describes the scent cool and then warm same as some deserts. I am not familiar with any scents from this house but im really interested in this fragrance its usually the genre I end up buying….I love the notes in Larmes du Desert really hoping to try this one soon and some others from the hou.

    Im in canada, thanks

  • Excellent review by Sebastian! This is the perfect Amber and Incense fragrance, both notes that I enjoy. I want to win because I have been looking for a new amber fragrance. I love Crépuscule des Âmes and Lune Feline. I live in the US and thanks for the giveaway! 🙂

I love how Sebastian said this “bathes everything in Golden light” sounds synesthetic
Hang my hat in Shelocta, PA
Never sniffed even a one…but Lune de Feline is on my Gotta Get It list
Incense, Cypress, Amber, Guaiac ? Those may be notes but they’re also WHY I would love to win this one.

Thanks to everyone at Çafleurebon, to Sebastian (who should have won the first Blog FiFi award IMHO) and to Jean-Phillipe for this generous prize. Good luck to all….

    smell swell & be well,

  • Another great review new Sebastian, and I do have an incense fragrance that I enjoy (CdG Avignon), so I think i would enjoy this as well. I would love to try something from this house, so I’ll need to start hunting in surrender to chance or luckyscent for samples of all the lovely sounding scents. Thank you so much for the generous draw, I’m in the us

  • I very much liked Sebastian’s enthusiasm when describing this fragrance. “Cold and warm together”. Very interesting.

    I live in Canada.

  • Love incense, resins, myrrh and especially the amber, with the woods and the citruses it sounds as it creates a complex and refined golden atmosphere which develops around you in a proper way making you happy which is the most important thing in this live. The smoothness of the bottle, engraved by sun with gold flakes summarize it, desert like. Thank you for this artwork. From San Sebastian, in the B.C.

  • What a lovely sounding fragrance. I love this houses lineup and design. Larmes du Desert sounds so rich and deep. It really matches the bottle. Would love to try thing one out. Arizona 🙂

I liked Sebastian’s review because it was very thourough and very describing.
    I live in Sweden.
My favorite Atelier des Ors fragrance is Lune Feline. That’s one of my top 3 fragrances of all time.
I would like the bottle of Larmes du Desert because it sounds very interesting and intruiging.

  • I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews. And this fragrance sounds so incredibly spicy with the incense, amber, and myrrh. I love perfumes like this for winter. I’ve never owned anything by Atelier. I’d love for this to be my first.
    I live in the USA.

  • I am an avid fan of his YouTube reviews. So impressed every reviews and right on the spot. I blind buy niche fragrances because of his reviews and I never got disappointed. He is straight forward and tell you exactly what you get of that brand. And he’s kind enough to reply back my PM. Thank you again Sebastian Jara. You could my shopping buddy .

Unfortunately, I haven’t owned any one yet of this house, but , I smelled Luna feline and it is so so good from luckyscent free samples. My birthday is coming up February, Luna Feline is top on my list .

Thank you this opportunity to win.

I live in South Carolina, USA.

  • I’m so excited to say I KNOW THIS ONE! I was gifted a sample by my lovely contact at Osswald – and I still have the empty vial because I found it so delightful! I would love to have a bottle for my b/day (Valentine’s Day) and this is definitely out of my league price-wise. This is the only one I have sampled from the house. The notes embody my favorite kind of fragrance with incense and woods and just a hint of citrus at the base (that’s very unusual yes??). I have been a subscriber of Sebastian’s channel for quite some time; I appreciate his passion and his way with words…he describes this as warm and golden, and so true! Greetings from NY, NY!

  • I’ve actually created a You Tube playlist so as to remind myself that I’ve entered this contest.
Why, well I get way to many notifications from You Tube, Linkedin , Deviant Art , G+ , emails from all the perfume boutiques ,among others , and some days it can be just to much. When this happens , I tend to rush through them. I don’t want to do that with this GiveAway, for Larmes is one of my favorites .
Yes, like most others , I got my sample through Osswald’s , but what differs them from me in my love for Larmes is that I’ve ordered 4 samples of it at separate times. I’ve commented to Sebastian about Larmes being my favorite from Atelier des Ors. I also have a 5 ml of Cuir Sacre of which I very much enjoy. Love the way the vetiver is used through out the life of the fragrance.
Favorite part of in Sebastian’s review of Larmes is the use of the word gold. It’s golden .
Oh, I’ve also created of notification date for this event. Thank you for this chance.

Thanks for the great review Sebastian, I really appreciate your knowledge I truly appreciate your help on fragrances. I tried this out last night here in New Zealand in one of the only stores that have niche perfumes in new zealand wow it is amazing so true you say its cooler in the beginning and warmth gathering and exploring into the mid and ending. I had a sample given by the staff as after trying the range this one stopped me in my tracks. Definitely the favourite. I went out with a few people to dinner in the evening The scent was so warm and incredibly cosy. I’d love to win a bottle and injoy this long lasting lover of the sun scented fragrance.

  • Loved the way Sebastian described the cool and warm elements in the fragrance. I’ve yet to try anything from this house but sounds like it’s amazing. I live in Texas

  • Thank you sabatian. For the give aways. I like watching you telling about the different fragarances thats out there. Your very detailed about how they smell. I haven’t won a give away. Hoping 1 of these days I will. Thanks for your hard work, and keep up the good work. Thanks.

  • The bottle is truly beautiful. I love how Sebastian mentions that Larmes du Desert smells and wears like gold.
The transition from the cold top notes to the warmer heart and base is really intriguing. A fragrance that warms over time.
My favorite from Atelier Des Ors has to be Lune Feline, an extremely beautiful spicy and resinous vanilla.
I haven’t had the chance to try Larmes du Desert, but it’s sounds like something I would love, a great incense scent with woody and balsamic subtones.
Thank you for this generous draw and for a constant stream of quality articles and reviews.
    Greetings from Romania.

  • Tears of the desert? What a wonderful name. Being orthodox Christian I’m used to the smell of incense from a very young age , and I love it . I also like patchouli, the amber and the oud . What a beautiful description by Mr Yara “cold and warm together “ . I can’t say it’s my favorite Atelier des Ors , because it’s the only one I’ve smelled, but Rose Omeyyade is EXTRAORDINARY fragrance. My sister owns it. Thx to all involved in this great giveaway. USA and also Germany from time to time

  • I haven’t experienced anything from Atelier Des Ors. Another great review from Sebastian. Incense and Amber sounds like a golden combination or excellent band name. I’m interested in experiencing the warm and the cold that Sebastian was describing. Another great giveaway. Thanks from California
