Top Ten Fragrances of 2018: Sr. Editors Ida Meister and Robert Herrmann + Part 3 Draw

Senior Editors Ida Meister and Robert Herrmann

For the past two days you have heard from Ermano and Michelyn. Now we turn the year in review over to our Editors and Sr. Contributors, beginning with Ida Meister and Robert Herrmann.

Ida’s Top Ten Fragrances of 2018

December rolls around and I feel like I’m in the Hot Seat. The pressure is ON. I detest contests on principle, it brings out the contrarian in dutiful me 🙁 We each get to smell different fragrances; no one can experience them all these days. Roll up the sleeves for my Top Ten Best Fragrances of 2018 in Alphabetical Order

Aftelier Perfumes: it’s a toss-up between Alchemy and Antique Ambergris (Mandy Aftel).I don’t want to have a nervous breakdown – and I won’t choose!!! You can’t lose: floral nirvana vs. ambreine exquisiteness. Harrummph, she grumbles which is why both are in my top ten fragrances of 2018.

Aroma M Botan (Maria McElroy): the softest, most delectable rose/peony/sandalwood fragrance – and its longevity is legendary. Swoony.

DSH Perfumes Paper*White (Dawn Spencer Hurwitz): as is to be anticipated, Dawn came out with any number of beauties, but Paper*White is hands-down the finest narcissus perfume I’ve ever smelled. It’s right up there with long-lamented discontinued Patricia de Nicolaï Le Temps d’Une Fête, and THAT is saying something.

4160 Tuesdays White Queen (Sarah McCartney):perfumer Sarah McCartney does any number of perfumes so well, but this was a complete surprise. I smelled it at Perfumology when I visited Nir Guy and was Utterly Wowed. Her collaboration with Michelyn Camen, our  Editor-in-Chief, yielded an extraordinary fragrance full of contrasts including sylvan notes, cream, fruit/nuts/flowers – none of which cloys or renders service to the perfume. I’ll need a bottle.

Ella K Baiser de Florence (Sonia Constant Gagliardi): ah, Sonia Constant-Gagliardi! Jasmine, iris, myrrh and cedar are a coup. Perfumed poetry, every precious drop of it. Just nuzzle my neck…

Private Blend Tom Ford Lost Cherry (Louise Turner): the perfume you’d love to hate but can’t help but love. Juicy, rosy, woody, spicy, balsamic, chypré! Ultimate sophistication, wearable to the last drop – but, oy! The price. As Joni says: “Help me I think I’m fallin’ in love again…”

Hiram Green Hyde (Hiram Green): simply the best leather since Santa Maria Novella Peau d’Espagne, folks. Yup – we had to wait from 1901 until Current Day. Ain’t nothin’ like the real thing, baby. No surprise that this made Michelyn’s top ten fragrances of 2018 as well.

April Aromatics Irisistible (Tanja Bochnig): Iris as Champagne – really. It sparkles “like velvet all covered with diamonds” (American opera Susannah by Carlisle Floyd: “Ain’t it a Pretty Night” aria). Evanescently lovely and heartfelt. Ermano loved it too, one of his o top ten fragrances of 2018!

Parfums de Nicolaï Cap Néroli (Patricia and Axel de Nicolaï): Côte d’Azur in a long tall flacon. Keep a bottle in the fridge during the sweltery season; I sprayed every soul within arms’ length and they each sighed with pleasure. Another that was Ermano’s and Michelyn’s respective top ten fragrances of 2018!

Fitzgerald & Guislain TiaréInterdit (Alexander Chesebro): I never said that I would “play fair”. These were available SO briefly, under the category Extraits Exceptionnels – and I went berserk trying to decide which I loved most. This tiare was the most gorgeous fully-fleshed tropical bloom, a real treat for the nose and photorealistic to boot. I pray that these brilliant fellows release them once more for our delectation.

Honorable Mention: Sarah Horowitz Thran Pride and Carnation – a truly voluptuous rose/carnation/amber from her December 2018 Banq de Parfums.  It’s a gorgeous homage to JAR Golconda (with which I have a 40 year relationship, and like Sarah – bought when I had no money).-Ida Meister, Sr. Editor and Natural Perfumery Editor

As I look back at the fragrances released in 2018, there is clearly a common thread with many of the perfumes I loved. I call it “Contemporary Vintage”; scents which take a page from history and add modern riffs for the 21st century. Out of the hundreds I test every year these are the 10 that left the greatest impression. So, in alphabetical order…..

4160Tuesdays Truth Beauty Freedom Love (Sarah McCartney) Sarah McCartney with her prodigious output of annual fragrances always makes my list. The problem is choosing just one, but for 2018 Truth Beauty Freedom Love led the pack. Named for the rallying cry of the 19th Century Bohemian movement of artists, writers and free thinkers, TBFL is a soft-focused Merchant Ivory film in a perfume bottle; a picture-perfect throwback floral with modern sensibilities and is one of  my of top ten fragrances of 2018.

Aedes de Venustas Musc Encensé (Ralf Schwieger) Finding a fragrance with incense that I can and love to wear is a minor miracle. When I first got a whiff of this in Milan last April, I knew it would fit me just so. The name Encensé is not just a play on the French encens (incense) and insensé (crazy). The french verb Encenser means both “to scent with incense” and “to praise to the skies.” And I give this perfume very high praise indeed and it also made Michelyn’s top ten fragrances of 2018.

Aroma M Botan (Maria McElroy) It’s been a stellar year perfume-wise, for Aroma M’s Maria Mcelroy. Having just released the stunning Desert Flower, 2018 also saw the release of Botan, her jaw-dropping paen to the Japanese Peony. I hope you get to try it, it really is one of her finest.

Guerlain Iris Ganache 2018 (Thierry Wasser) Iris Ganache 2007 reinterpreted for 2018, maintains much of what makes the original so glorious; iris & white chocolate with a healthy dose of the classic “Guerlainade”. It doesn’t get much better than that.

Houbigant Essence Rare (Jean Claude Ellena) M. Ellena revisits his very first perfume creation from the 1970’s, adding depth and dialing back the growl to a soft purr. The result is as beautiful as anything I’ve ever smelled. It is no surprise it was on  Ermano and Michelyn’s top ten fragrances of 2018!

Jacques Fath L’Iris De Fath (Patrice Revillard and Yohan Cervi) The third of the 3 re-interpreted vintage perfumes I fell in love with this year, this new iteration of the classic and iconic Iris Gris, proves once again, that if it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing RIGHT, and L’Iris De Fath is spot-on.

L’Artisan Champs De Fleur (Anne Flipo) What makes Champs De Fleur such a hit in my book, is that it delivers what it sets out to be; a perfect warm-weather white floral reinterpreted as a cologne. The “Millennial Pink” color of the jus is the perfect representation of a cologne that I reached for over and over again last summer. And garnered compliments galore!

Perris Monte Carlo Bergamotto Di Calabria (Luca Maffei & Gian Luca Perris) One of the greatest surprises was finding this textbook perfect extrait that lets the extraordinary “sponge bergamot” shine in all its nuanced and complex beauty. The epitome of long-lasting citrus cologne. Another that made Michelyn and Ermano’s top ten fragrances of 2018!

St. Clair Scents Gardener’s Glove (Diane St. Clair) From some of the best artisanal butter in the USA to some of the best new perfumes of 2018, Diane’s initial release of 3 perfumes rocked the indie perfume world. Gardener’s Glove is a photo-realistic summer garden, floral, earthy, with snippets of tomato leaf and well worn leather glove. Like standing in a tomato patch at the height of August. Addictive and enticing.

Tauer Perfumes Les Années 25 (Andy Tauer) A tribute to the Parisian Art Deco Exposition of 1925, Andy Tauer perfectly captures the 1920’s zeitgeist and infuses it with his own contemporary vibe. An unforgettable fragrance. –Robert Herrmann, Sr. Editor

  • Ida’s choice for DSH Perfumes Paper*White to be in the Top 10 of 2018 surprised me a bit. This narcissus perfume must be done really well especially if it is the finest narcissus fragrance she’s ever smelled. I’ll have to get my nose on this one! (I’d like to win the Bergamotto di Calabria and Hiram Green Hyde and I live in Arkansas.)

  • I was also wowed by Ida’s comment on Hiram Green’s Hyde and mentioning that it is simply the best leather since Santa Maria Novella Peau d’Espagne! This fragrance must be a star! (I’d like to win the Bergamotto di Calabria and Hiram Green Hyde and I live in Arkansas.)

  • BostonScentGuy says:

I’m seeing a lot of overlapping themes here, particularly with Hyde, which makes me even more excited to try it! I loved the description of Lost Cherry (I would love to hate it, but I can’t! It’s great!), and was intrigued to hear that Irish Ganache had been retooled and rereleased (which I didn’t know). Also I hadn’t heard of DSH Paper*White; narcissus is a favorite flower and perfume note of mine! Thanks for the draw! I’m in the US and would love to win Hyde, Musc Encense, and Paper White.

  • VerbenaLuvvr says:

Since Ms. Ida’s review from a few months ago, I have wanted to try Aroma M Botan, so often I find myself in agreement with her selections and am glad to see her list for 2018 as a guide for me. Peony scent is glorious, I have them in my yard, and I’d love to experience Aroma M’s take on the flower’s impression. From the group available in this draw, I would select the Aftelier Alchemy, as that is not one that I have yet experienced and the citrus/rose/spice combo sounds so delectable. Thank you again for this chance, I live in the US.

  • I think just this list alone is prize enough for me. I always enjoy reading what Ida and Robert have to say. But I am quite keen to try White Queen and the Houbigant Rare Essences. Who does not love an Ellena?

  • I’m going to try to get a sample of Desert Flower by Maria McElroy. Aroma M Boton is a new brand to me. If lucky: White Queen or Paper Whites or Alchemy. USA

  • Reading this, sad I didn’t win Maria McElroy’s Desert Flower earlier this year, lol, I wish I was bold enough to buy it blind from American Perfumer! Love the sound of a lot of these really. Musc Encense intrigues me a whole lot even though I don’t normally go for straight-up musk – it must be the promise of incense… ditto for Bergamotto di Calabria. I love bergamot as a flavor or top note, but haven’t thought of trying it as the central focus of a perfume. White Queen intrigues me because of the contrasting list of notes that includes some of my favorites in an unexpected combo.

In today’s awesome list I gotta pick my favorites to win (I live in the US) in this order:

Aedes de Venustas – Musc Encensé
    4160 Tuesdays – White Queen
Perris Monte Carlo – Bergamotto di Calabria
    Houbigant – Essence Rare
Parfums de Nicolai – Cap Neroli
    Aftelier Perfumes – Alchemy

  • I love to read a best of …onCafleurebon … I will try DSH Paperwhite And Hyde by Hiram Greene..Montreal Canada

  • I see that Hyde made another list as did Musc Encense. Now I really want to experience both. Would like to win the Aftelier Perfumes Alchemy. US

  • Lillyhollowayblog says:

I always appreciate and love Robert’s and Ida’s recommendations and trust their knowledge.
I’ve not had the opportunity to try more than a couple on these lists unfortunately. Hopefully that can be remedied soon.
    I live in the US.

Aedes de Venustas – Musc Encensé
    4160 Tuesdays – White Queen
Perris Monte Carlo – Bergamotto di Calabria
    Houbigant – Essence Rare
Parfums de Nicolai – Cap Neroli
    DSH Paperwhite

  • Again, it is wonderful to hear all of these opinions, as they help shape the form of the perfume in my mind.

Happy new year to all and good luck to all who entered!

Cap Neroli, Green Hyde, Bergamotto di Calabria, Houbigant Rare Essence.

    CAN!

  • After reading more raving reviews for Hyde, I really want to try it now! I’m glad Iris Ganache is included in the list; it’s simply beautiful!
Looking forward to the other reviews as well!!!
    If I won I’d like:

    Aftelier Perfumes – Alchemy
    Houbigant – Essence Rare
    4160 Tuesdays – White Queen

    DSH Paperwhite
Aedes de Venustas – Musc Encensé
Perris Monte Carlo – Bergamotto di Calabria

  • This is a really great giveaway with several chances. I would love to be one of the lucky winners: Bergamotto di calabria, Musc Incense, Essence rare, Cap neroli. Thanks for the draw, i am in the EU.

  • I can see some recurrent names: Hyde, Essence Rare, Iris de Fath… Need to check them out then.

Thanks for the draw, the top tens, and happy new year to all. I would like to win Houbigant Essence Rare, Nicilaï Cap Néroli, Aedes Musc Ensensé, Hiram Green Hyde.

    I live in EU.

  • My goodness does Parfums de Nicolaï Cap Néroli sound lovely! I can’t believe that I missed this one! I really like the idea of placing this one in the fridge during the summer season. I bet the citrus and mint in this fragrance make it absolutely lovely. I’d like to add this one to what I’d like to win! (I’d like to win the Bergamotto di Calabria, Hiram Green Hyde and Parfums de Nicolaï Cap Néroli. I live in Arkansas.)

  • More great scents! I have tried many from Ida’s list and I wholeheartedly agree with her choices.
Would love to win Alchemy, thanks for the generous giveaway!
    I live in the U.S.

  • Ida’s choices are predictable since she likes natural perfumery a lot but Lost Cherry surprised me since I didn’t expect it at all. Hermann’s choices could be predicted since I follow his posts. He loved Iris Ganache and also Iris by Fath. His choice of Aedes de Venustas Musc Encensé also seems right since this is one Aedes I want to smell as I own two from the brand and like both of them even though both were blind buys. My choices will be

    Aedes de Venustas Musc Encensé
    Bergamotto di Calabria

    I am in US

  • Some awesome choices …Guerlain Iris Ganache 2018 is one my girlfriend loves , reformulations scare me I always think a fragrance thats a shadow of itself maybe this 2018 interpretation of iris ganache will be good . Another interperation Jacques Fath L’Iris De Fath is one I’d LOVE to try ,even the bottle is glorious but for the price it better be 🙂 …. Tauer Perfumes Les Années 25 another one on the to try list. Anyway some great picks for 2018.

These fragrances would be my picks if the fragrance gods shine upon me 🙂
Aedes de Venustas – Musc Encensé
Perris Monte Carlo – Bergamotto di Calabria
    Hiram Green – Hyde
Parfums de Nicolai – Cap Neroli
    Houbigant – Essence Rare

Canada here….Thanks again for great article and giveaway looking forward to more.

  • middleagedandmixed says:

Loved seeing Les Années 25 in Robert’s list. I managed to get a mini since it looks like it’s no longer available, and I’m so glad I got it. Even though it’s s tiny bottle as Robert said, it’s “an unforgettable fragrance.” I loved Ida’s call outs for Dawn Spencer Hurwitz and Sarah McCartney. I’m such a fan of these talented women. If I’m lucky enough to get picked, I would choose the following:

Aedes de Venustas – Musc Encensé
    4160 Tuesdays – White Queen
    DSH – Paper*Whites
    Houbigant – Essence Rare
Parfums de Nicolai – Cap Neroli

    I live in Washington state.

  • Monica Beaton says:

A little bit of everything and beautifully reviewed as usual by Ida and Robert. I couldn’t possibly choose just 10 fragrances at this point in my fragrance journey – too much to learn and too much I need to try. Thank you again for putting these lists together – it’s given me a great jumping off point to do some research and seek out some samples. And of course, thank you for another wonderful giveaway. If chosen, I’d love to try: Houbigant Rare Essence, Parfums de Nicolai Cap Neroli, Aedes de Venustas Musc Encensé, Bergamotto di Calabria or Hiram Green Hyde. My recent purchases have been in the gourmand range, but I’d love to expand my fragrance horizon. I live in Australia.

  • Delighted to find that we make two appearances with two fragrances I’m very fond of. Collaborating both with Michelyn on White Queen, and Dalliance & Noble on Truth Beauty Freedom Love, was fabulous, challenging and extra regarding. It’s wonderful to have them chosen; thank you.;

  • Elizabeth T. says:

I am testing Gardener’s Glove for the first time right now! It is my favorite from St. Clair Scents as well. The floral notes really bloom on my skin, with a soft leather in the background. Others that stood out to me were DSH Paper*White, April Aromatics Irisistible, Guerlain Iris Ganache 2018, and Jacques Fath L’Iris De Fath. I’m in the USA and would love to win Houbigant Rare Essence or DSH Paper*Whites.

Thank you for the top 10 lists and generous draws!

  • Thank you for doing this draw! I love that one of you chose Gardener’s Glove, it is one of my faves for 2018 and it is my favorite of Diane St. Clair’s first three releases. I will have to try Paper White one way or another, I love narcissus scents and it got very high praise here.

I live in the US and would be happy to win any of these:
    Aftelier Perfumes – Alchemy
    Houbigant – Essence Rare
    4160 Tuesdays – White Queen
Parfums de Nicolai – Cap Neroli

    Hiram Green – Hyde

  • This year I enjoyed both Aftelier Alchemy and Maria M Botan. Both wonderful! I’d definitely be interested in the other items on the Best Of lists! I live in the US… All of the giveaway prizes sound wonderful.

  • I like seeing the Naturals given some of the limelight on Ida’s list – I’m surprised Strange Invisible Perfumes didn’t make the list! I’ve tried the St. Clair Gardner’s Glove and think I prefer her Frost and First Cut, she is a new talent to watch! And I love the fact that Diane St. Clair is a working farmer creating artisanal, crafted butters!

Some perfumes I’d like to try:
    Hiram Green – Hyde
    DSH – Paperwhite
Perris Monte Carlo – Bergamotto di Calabria
    Houbigant – Essence Rare

  • Ida is a woman after my own heart with the extra ” I can’t decide so you get both” bits. Choosing is sometimes impossible! And she solidified my need to try Cap Neroli.

Robert also nudged me even closer to Bergamatto di Calabria. 😉

I’m in the US, and I would love to put my name in for:

Perris Monte Carlo Bergamotto di Calabria
    4160 Tuesdays White Queen
Parfums de Nicolai – Cap Neroli

Thank you all for your work!!

  • I see Musc Ensence is mentioned again in this post. It sounds like a great scent. I was surprised to see Lost Cherry since reviews havent been that great, but I havent tried it, so Im not sure how good it is.
Of this drawing, I’d like to get Bergamotto di Calabria if I win. A long lasting citrus sounds wonderful.
Im in IL in the US. Thanks for the draw

  • There is that White Queen again listed. I have to get my nose on that one. I was rather “ho-hum” about Lost Cherry, thinking it was just some hyped up designer scent, but I have noticed it quite favorably on many blogs and now here by the trusted Ida. I sure hope my local Nordstrom gets this in soon so I can try it out. Bergamato di Calabria as a long lasting citrus gets my interest. I’m still hoping to be the lucky winner of White Queen or I’d also love Bergamot di Calabria, I was unaware that was a Luca Maffei collaboration. He’s one I usually keep my eye on, but missed this. Thanks for the chance!!!! Looking forward to part 3. USA.

  • Loved the description of Lost Cherry as love/hate – exactly! I also inspired me to pull out my sample of Hiram Green Hyde again. Would love to win that or anything else, as I haven’t smelled the others. California USA entry!

  • I can’t imagine how difficult it is to narrow down favorites to just ten. I trust the good taste and discernment of Ida and Robert after following them on CaFleureBon. What a gift to have a 2018 “cheat sheet” from them. Thank you so much for sharing your seletions with us.

Ida declaring Hyde as the best leather perfume in over 100 years is QUITE the recommendation. And I really must try Sarah Horowitz’s Pride and Carnation. I have already decided 2019 is going to be dedicated to the search for my favorite carnation fragrance (like this year was rose.)

Robert’s list is chock-a-block with perfumes I either already love or am aching to try. I so trust what he has to say on florals.

If I were lucky enough I would be thrilled to receive any of thees:
    – Aftelier Perfumes Alchemy
    – Houbigant Rare Essence
    – Parfums de Nicolai Cap Neroli
    – CaFleureBon x4160 Tuesdays White Queen
    – Aedes de Venustas Musc Encensé
    – Perris Bergamotto di Calabria
    – Hiram Green Hyde

I live in the US. I can’t wait for tomorrow’s lists! Thank you CaFleureBon team for taking on this job of judging!

  • I liked the description of Bergamotto di Calabria becomes it’s an epitome of long-lasting citrus cologne based on the description.

    I live in California.

  • I think there are some real heavy hitters in the lists provided by Ida and Robert. I haven’t tried them all, but I reaaly like all the ones I have tried. I will have to get my nose on as many of the others that i can. I live in Canada.

    1. Hiram Green Hyde
    2. Aftelier Perfumes Alchemy
    3. Aedes de Venustas Musc Encensé
    4. Nicolai Cap Neroli
    5. Perris Monte Carlo Bergamotto Di Calabria
    6. Houbigant Rare Essence
    7. DSH Perfumes Paper*White

  • yungcherrypops says:

  • I love the line up of fragrance for this 2018 rewards and what most appeal to me is Aroma M Botan and Houbigant Rare Essence, Aedes De Venustas Musc Encense. This has been an amazing year that has been special for this year. Happy New Years!!! I live in CA, USA.
I would love any of these
    Aroma M Botan
    Houbigant Rare Essence
Perris Monte Carlo Bergamotto Di Calabria
    Nicolai Cap Neroli
    Aedes de Venustas Musc Encensé
    Aftelier Perfumes Alchemy
    DSH Perfumes Paper*White

  • I’m in Los Angeles, US, and I’m impressed with the breadth of Robert and Ida’s selections! I’m dying to try Houbigant Rare Essence since everyone is raving about it, and Hyde as well. Thank you!

  • I am so impressed by your picks and reviews. Would be keen to try them all, as so many of the brands are unavailable in my hometown in Europe. Hope to encounter the Lost Cherry sometime soon.

  • LadyoftheOakenForest says:

Well what can I say, I need to add more bits to my to test lost, fabulous choices! I didn’t even know about some of these at all. Love the sound of April Aromatics Irisistible, never tested anything from this brand, but this one looks so up my street!
I am based in the UK, would love to be entered for Aftelier Perfumes Alchemy, Musc Encensé and Hiram Green Hyde.

  • -First off I da and I share so many passions and loves. I have mad respect both Michelyn and Ermano’s picks; however, Ida and I are fellow wayward souls and what she described I haven’t tried or already ordered are going straight to the TOP of the want list & I am grateful you paired Ida with Robert as I just love his simple yet evocative style. Perfectly paired perfumsitas!

-I would like to win, should I be blessed enough:
    >DSH Paper*White dram bottle
    >AFTELIER PERFUMES Alchemy 5 ml
    >CAFLEUREBON x 4160 Tuesdays White Queen 50 ml

    My choices would be:
    Aftelier Perfumes – Alchemy
    Houbigant – Essence Rare
    Hiram Green – Hyde
    I’m in EU

    Cafleurebon is the best!

  • Wonderful choices. I’ll have to find Houbigant Essence Rare somewhere and try it out! (Unfortunately, not in the region for the draw 🙁 )
I would like to win (if I’m lucky): DSH Paper*White, Nicolai Caps Neroli, or, really, any of them would be great!
    I am in China.

  • RaePerfumeSoul says:

Tom Ford Lost Cherry – what a beautiful fragrance. The name doesn’t bother me one bit.On the same page with Ida – ” Ultimate sophistication, wearable to the last drop – but, oy! The price.”
Perris Monte Carlo Bergamotto Di Calabria chosen by both Ermano, Michelyn and Robert Herrmann. Glorious citrus no doubt .Perfect summer scent.
Unfortunately i’m not familiar with all others from Ida’s and Robert Herrmann.’s list , but Hiram Green Hyde , Aedes de Venustas Musc Encensé and both 4160 Tuesdays fragrances – White Queen and Truth Beauty Freedom Love sounds beautiful .
    My choices:
    1. 4160 Tuesdays White Queen

  • It’s the most wonderful time of the year! I confess I love the “best and worst of 2018” lists, and Ca Fleure Bon’s lists are always the ones most worth reading.

For the draw, how I would love that bottle of Perris Monte Carlo Bergamotto di Calabria!

But my own pick for the best of 2018 is Andy Tauer, Les Années 25. Thank you, Robert, for choosing it as well! I have yet to try Tanja’s April Aromatics Irisistible, but it’s now at the very top of my list for the new year!

I remain in the bustling city of Chicago!

  • I love that Ida would not choose between Mandy’s two perfumes. I am still yearning to smell ANYTHING by Mandy Aftel. I would also love Bergamotto de Calabria or Hiram Green Hyde. I live in Durban, South Africa

  • Lovely choices, and so beautifully presented.
From the ones I haven’t tried yet, I’m mostly I intrigued by 4160 Tuesdays White Queen, Aroma M Botan, Houbigant Essence Rare and of course L’Iris de Fath.
I’d also love to have Les Années 25 by Andy Tauer, but unfortunately it seems like no more quantities are going to be produced.

I’d be ecstatic to win ANY of the following, (in order of preference):
    – Houbigant Essence Rare
    – Hiram Green Hyde
    – Aedes de Venustas Musc Encensé
    – Bergamotto Di Calabria
    – Parfums de Nicolai Cap Neroli
    – Aftelier Perfumes Alchemy
    – DSH Perfumes Paper Whites

I live in EU (France), thank you once more!

  • I am very happy that St. Clair Scent’s Gardener’s Glove is a favourite. I just love reading about her life, making world-class butter and now world-class perfumes. I am very excited to try Botan from Aroma M. I love her hair oils. The Ella K Baiser de Florence sounds intoxicating.
For the Day 3 draw, I would choose:
    Alchemy
    Paper Whites
    White Queen

    I live in the USA.

  • Many new lovelies on this list of Ida and Robert but I would like to win houbigant rare essence, white queen and paper white
Thank you for your hard work

  • Glad to see Les Annees 25 made it here. Given Andy’s popularity, I’m surprised how this one went under the hype radar. I’m glad to have a bottle of it. I happen to have a sample of Irisistible on its way to me, so looking forward to that. For the draw, my picks are Alchemy and White Queen, and of course Musc Encense and Bergamotto di Calabria mentioned yesterday. NY.

  • I love Best Of The Year list. I have to repress my desire to go online and purchase them all ! Robert has my attention with Hiram Green’s Hyde as one of the best leather fragrances since when ? I would love to win that . Jim in Maryland.

  • I love that Mr. Hermann mentioned St. Clair Scents. For me she is a fascinating perfumer. For the draw I would pick Alchemy. USA.

  • So many perfumes I don’t know yet! This list is for me a wonderful tip where to search. I’m especially interested in Hyde, Musc Encense, Cap Neroli and Bergamotto di Calabria. Would be great to win one of them. I live in the EU.

  • More to put on my list for sample orders. The only ones I have tried listed here are Paperwhite’s (yes!), Gardener’s Glove (yes!), and Lost Cherry (no). There are several repeats from yesterday’s list which makes me even more curious to try them (Essence Rare! Cape Neroli!) One that caught my eye was the Irresistible and the two by Sarah McCartney. I would be happy to win anything from this list but especially:
    Rare Essence
    Cape Neroli
    Hyde
    Musc Ensensee
    White Queen
    Bergamotto di Calabria
I’m enjoying your lists! Thank you! I’m in Texas.

  • I loved hearing new opinions of Ida and Robert. Interesting that some of the scents overlap with other editors. Thank you for the chance to win .
    I would love
    Alcemy
    Hyde
    Rare Essence
    I live in the US.

  • Some wonderful scents on this list ! Of course, wonderful people are doing the choosing….
I live in Canada, and would love to try Houbigant Rare Essence or Musc Encensé.
Thank you for the draw, and the past year of fragrant reading

  • Once again your efforts are appreciated deeply. There does seem to be some overlapping going on which to me indicates some beautiful fragrances adored by all. Would love
Aedes de Venustas – Musc Encensé
    4160 Tuesdays – White Queen
    Houbigant – Essence Rare
Parfums de Nicolai – Cap Neroli
    Aftelier Perfumes – Alchemy
    DSH Paper*Whites

  • All of these perfumes contain the list sounds amazing in their own different way. unfortunately I have not tried any of those yet.
I would very like to win something, because I have not get anything for Christmas, so maybe I can win something, who knows? 😀
    So my winning choices:
    – 3.4 oz tester of Musc Encensé
    – 100 ml of Bergamotto di Calabria
    – Houbigant Rare Essence
    – 50 ml of Hiram Green Hyde
    – 30 ml of Parfums de Nicolai Cap Neroli
    – 5ml Aftelier Perfumes Alchemy
    – 1 dram bottle of DSH Perfumes Paper*Whites
Thank you for the chance. I live in the Eu.

  • Thanks to Ida Meister and Robert Herrmann for another fantastic episode about the best of 2018 full of suggestions and stimulating indications for new olfactory explorations.
To me sound irresistible Hiram Green Hyde, Aedes de Venustas Musc Encensé, Perris Monte Carlo Bergamotto Di Calabria and Tauer Perfumes Les Années 25, all fragrances that I understand are all united by the respect for the most prestigious traditional perfumery and high quality.
Into the draw my preference gore to:
Hyde, Bergamotto Di Calabria and Musc Encensé
    Thanks!
    I live in EU

  • Very interested article
Unfortunately, I have not tested most if this perfumes, but I liked description of Cap Neroli- I like Nicolai’s perfumes very much, I am intrigued by description if White Queen, although I think it is more feminine.
    I would love to win:
    Houbigant Rare Essence
    Bergamotto Di Calabria
    Musc Encensé
    Hiram Green Hyde
    Cap Neroli.
    US

  • It’s fascinating to read which 2018 releases have made their way into the list. I’d really love to try Paper White, – Ida has compared it to Le Temps d’Une Fête which means it’s a must-try. The other two that interest me the most are Hyram (I’m not eligible for the draw but either way, this perfume has got a lot of good press this year) and Cap Neroli. I know a person who has just finished her first 30ml bottle and already has bought another!
And I’m happy to see Diane St.Clair Gardener’s Glove in Robert’s top ten: a fellow perfumista of mine claims that Diane’s creations are incredible, and I believe her. l’Iris de Fath is another legendary name. Do I dare to dream of even smelling it?
Here’s what I’d be happy to win:
Worldwide: 5ml Aftelier Perfumes Alchemy ($75)
Worldwide: 30 ml of Parfums de Nicolai Cap Neroli ((There is only one winner see yesterday’s post)
Worldwide: 1 dram bottle of DSH Perfumes Paper*White.

Thank you for these wonderful draws, ça fleure bon et offre tant de beaux cadeaux! Russia

  • I have read through all three posts and as a fan of Mandy and Dawn I am so holy to we then here again. I would like to win Nicolai Capri since it appear on everyone list and also Hyde, essence rare paperwhites and alchemy
    Thank you Usa

  • Gosh I love that the top scents this year share this common thread of return. Returning to the history of fragrance, returning to the blended histories and movements arts and culture past, while modernizing the classics we love and attach to. Gardener’s glove took me to a weepy nostalgic place that i so desperately need to return to. That fragrance grabbed me by the sternum and reminded me where so much of my heart still lives.

    -USA
-Dream fragrances: Aftelier Alchemy, Tuesdays White Queen, honestly any would be an honor and a stunning edition to my tiny but growing collection

  • Fantastic range of perfumes!! I enjoyed little descriptions.
Mostly I want to try Fath L’Iris De Fath- new, but very close version of legendary perfume.when I first time read Ida’s article about Parfums de Nicolaï Cap Néroli -I at once fall in love.
I would love to win: Bergamotto Di Calabria, Musc Encensé, Hiram Green Hyde, Houbigant Rare Essence or Cap Neroli.
    from USA

  • Ahhhh!! Also keeping a bottle in the fridge!! Genius!! And the super plastic and tender description of sighs after being scented with Parfums de Nicolaï Cap Néroli. I can’t dream up a more compelling review

  • Oh gosh also the photo Robert H took is so beautiful, I saved it and set it as my background. What a gorgeous photo

  • It’s nice to see that there’s some perfume that shows up on more than one list (like Bergamotto Di Calabria or Essence Rare for example), it means they’re really good and that I need to try them!
I’d love to win one of:
    Houbigant Rare Essence
    Parfums de Nicolai Cap Neroli
Perris Monte Carlo Bergamotto di Calabria
    Hiram Green Hyde
    I’m in the EU.

  • prasida.perfume says:

I love how Ida is honest about being overwhelmed and Robert found this year to be “Modern Vintage”. I’m curious about Paper White, Champs De Fleur and Cap Neroli. Can you tell that I love florals?

  • 2018 was a good year! Thank you all for your reviews, they are always a lovely glimpse into a world I know very little about! If I had to choose from this list based on what I know, I think I’d pick Alchemy, Essence Rare, or Cap Neroli, ! I’d be grateful to experience any of them though. I’m in the U.S.

  • Ida’s choice and opinion have always been significant to me. I’ve been reading her articles for many years. She’s the one I recognize for a great friend of artisans and small independent houses. Her credibility and trustworthiness also originate from the fact that she also explores various segments of perfumery, telling us on big brands such as Tom Ford, or vintage creations from famous houses, some of them are still big players, though their most glorious days passed. Knowing Ida’s perfumes of the day or evening, as well as her concise descriptions of scents or the occasions in which she wears them only confirm my point of view.
From her top 10, I know Cap Neroli and Irisistible. Ida increases my interest in Hyde, too.
Musc Encensé, Essence Rare, and Bergamotto Di Calabria are perfumes I know from Robert’s list. Robert amazes me with reviews like A Tale Of Two Perfume Unicorns ~ Guerlain Iris Ganache 2007 & 2018. I tried the 2007 version after Guerlain had discontinued it. His reviews of Essence Rare and Musc Encensé were my first contact with these fragrances. Now, these perfumes are among the best of the year. I met Robert in some fragrance groups on Facebook, but, more important, I noticed that he’s always close to American Artisans, especially on Pacific North West, and that’s the part of American perfumery I know the best. Our Fragrant Wanderer writes excellently. His articles sometimes breath with a decent dose of humor or fun, but it has a positive impact when describing fragrances. Just read Robert’s review of Musc Encensé, you’ll know what I mean.
My wishes include Hyde, Bergamotto di Calabria, Musc Encensé, Cap Neroli, Essence Rare, all were in previous posts. Now I add Alchemy and Paper*Whites. EU, Croatia. Thank you.

  • I know very little about these fragrances except from reading the msrvelous reviews that re written by all of you. I’d love to win:
    Houbigant Essence Rare
    Parfums de Nicolai Cap Neroli
Perris Monte Carlo Bergamotto di Calabria
    Fath L’Iris De Fath
Aedes de Venustas – Musc Encensé
Thanks again for all that you do. I’m in the USA

  • Unlike the previous part 2 draw list , this time I’m familiar with 2 fragrances- one from Ida’s Top 10 , and one from Robert Hermann’s list. Lost Cherry from Tom Ford Prive Line is one of the best fragrances I’ve ever smelled. What a masterpiece . Unfortunately is super pricey, and for now I cannot afford full bottle, only 10ml decant I cherrish a lot. Don’t get at all why so much people are b.. heart about the name?!? It’s just a name nothing more. I know Iris Ganache the vintage formulation quite well – I had a full bottle when it was part of Guerlain’s L’art et la Matiere high end line.I was super pissed when I found out the 2018 formulation is something like a unicorn. Most Gurrlain boutiques did not get ANY quantities at all. You need to have some deep connection to get your hands on a bottle. As a Guerlain girl I’m extremely disappointed by this policy!!! Hope I’ll be able to win one of : 1. 4160 Tuesdays White Queen 2. Musc Encense 3. Bergamotto Di Calabria 4. Hiram Green Hyde Tnx for generosity. USA and Germany from time to time

  • There are a number of Ida and Robert’s choices that resonated with me. First of all. Ida’s mention of Patricia de Nicolai’s Le Temps d’une Fete in the same breath as Paper*White has me completely intrigued. The discontinued PDN scent was one of my favorites. I’m also deeply interested in the re-issued Iris Ganache (I once had a small vial of the original and only remember that I loved it and wished for more!). Iris de Fath and I will probably never meet, but it’s on my wishlist as well – and so is Aedes’ Musc Encensé, now that everyone seems to be mentioning it!
From the draw, my top choices are:

    Aedes de Venustas Musc Encensé
    Hiram Green Hyde
    DSH Paper*White
    Houbigant Essence Rare
    CaFleureBon x4160 Tuesdays White Queen

I’m in the US. Thanks for sharing your impressions of such a varied collection of scents!
    Bergamotto di Calabria

  • Another nice list and a few familiar ones. Haven’t tried any from this list either. Would like
    Hyde by Hiram Green
    White Queen
    Houbigant Rare Essence
    Paper White
    Thanks. U.S

  • They all sound great, I would love to win 4160 Tuesday, White Queen
    Houbigant – Essence Rare
Parfums de Nicolai – Cap Neroli
    Aftelier Perfumes – Alchemy
    DSH paper white

I’ll be happy to win one of these wonderful picks
    Thank you
    Mary Shean

  • Again such a variety of beautiful choices. Some of them I an sure I will eventually get to sample.

Thank for presenting all those fragrances. Fun to see what others love.

Thank for the opportunity to win a fabulous prize.

    I am in the US.

  • I love that there are so many scents being revisited. It gives me hope that some of my favourite discontinued perfumes may make a comeback!
I would love to sample DSH Perfumes Paper*Whites. Every time I read a review of it I think I would love how it smells.
I am a registered reader in Saskatchewan Canada.

  • I think the lists were great ! I felt that many of the fragrances were charming, elegant and more on the simple side. There are some outliers , but I think they chose wisely, so each of us could be pulled in and inticed.

My heart still yearns for Aedes de Venustas Musc Encensé by Ralf Schwieger.

My closr second choice would be Perris Monte Carlo Bergamotto Di Calabria.

  • What wonderful lists from Ida and Robert. I’m so intrigued with Ida’s description of DSH Paper Whites – ‘hands-down the finest narcissus perfume I’ve ever smelled.’ I need to try this! And I love the theme on Robert’s favorites- ‘Contemporary Vintage ‘. I hope to win any of these: DSH Paper Whites, 4160 Tuesdays White Queen or Aftelier. Thank Alchemy! Happy Holidays! – CA, USA

  • Hikmat Sher Afridi says:

Great read and again nice picks from wonderful writers. In my opinion the April Aromatics Irresistible and Hyde by Hiram Green descriptions are impressive. My choices if I win are:
    1. April Aromatics Irresistible
    2. Hyde by Hiram Green
    Pakistan

  • The only ones I’ve tried from Ida’s list was DSH Antique Ambergris. Such a beautiful & simple yet multifaceted scent! It smelled very different on me & the 2 other people I tried it with. From Robert’s list I’ve only tried AdV Musc Encense and thought it was great as well. Thanks for all of the suggestions of new things for me to try out! I’m in the US & would love a chance to win:
4160 Tuesdays White Queen (so excited to try this one!)
    AdV Musc Encense
    Houbigant Rare Essence
    Aftelier Alchemy
    PdN Cap Neroli

  • Great choices! I have a sample of les annees by andy tauer and it is gorgeous it makes me think of a more feminine lair du desert marocain it has that tauer dna but its powdery soft and feminine. I really need to try lost cherry It has been getting alot of positive attention but like the last special edition it is very pricey. The ones I would love to win are
    -4160 tuesdays white queen
    -hiram green hyde
But I would love to try any of the fragrances offered they would all be great editions to my collection. Thank you for the giveaway and have a happy new year! I am in Arizona.

  • Reading over the picks again, I must say that Tom Ford Lost Cherry was a surprise. Honestly, I’ve heard a lot of negativity around the fragrance that it has directed me away from even giving it a wear. But… I think you’ve changed my mind. “Ultimate sophistication, wearable to the last drop” has me thinking differently about the fragrance. (I’d like to win the Bergamotto di Calabria and Hiram Green Hyde and I live in Arkansas.)

  • Yana_Tommelise says:

Wonderful list! I agree with so many! Paper White is one of the very best from already beautiful DSH Perfumes. 4160 Tuesday novelties are gorgeous too. I’d love to win a bottle of Perris Monte Carlo Bergamotto Di Calabria because I have no proper bergamot scent in my collection. I’ve never smelled something with intense bergamot that would touch my heart. Hopefully this one will. Thanks for these amazing drawings. I am in Germany!

  • Great choices by both. I especially like Robert’a as he chose Perris Monte Carlo Bergamotto Di Calabria the fragrance I’d probably would want to win most.

1.Perris Monte Carlo Bergamotto Di Calabria
    2.Houbigant Rare Essence
    3.Parfums de Nicolai Cap Neroli

Thanks for the draw from the USA

  • Ella K Baiser de Florence is a mix of notes that I think I would like, I’ll need to hunt down a sample or tester. I have not tried the Tom Ford Lost Cherry, but as they have Tom Ford at my downtown Nordstroms perhaps I can test it it one day at lunch. I would also love to try the Fitzgerald & Guislain Tiare Interdit, even tho I have never been on a tropical vacation, a tiare scent helps me with my “staycations” on the weekend when I ignore my chores!
    1. Parfums de Nicolai Cap Neroli – my top one to try, but it’s a close battle with Houbigant Rare Essence! I love all about the orange….
    2. Houbigant Rare essence – would still love to try this by a classic house, not sure that I could afford it otherwise, even a sample!
    3. Bergamotto di calabria – many of my favorites in one special scent, cannot wait.
    4. Aftelier Perfumes Alchemy
    5. DSH Paper Whites – a truly lovely narcissus, I would love to try this.
    6. Tuesdays White Queen – contrasts, including gourmand that is not cloying? Sign me up.
    7. Aedes de venustas Musc Encense – would love to find a musk scent that works for me
Hiram Green Hyde – lovely leather that I would love to try since it landed on so many end of year lists!
Thank you for the generous draw, I’m in the US.

  • This was a great list of choices! I am dying to try Tom Ford’s Lost Cherry! I did buy the dupe by DUA and judging by many YouTube reviewers, it’s nearly identical. I love the scent but it smells even better on my boyfriend.

I love floral fragrances, so I would choose Houbigant Rare Essence.

But I also can’t get enough of any perfumes that have spicy, incense notes, so I would also choose Musc Encensé.

I also enjoy neroli/orange blossom fragrances because they are fresh (and always invoke images of little white bars of hotel soap), so I’d also choose Parfums de Nicolai Cap Neroli

    I live in the USA.

    Happy New Year!

  • James Weaver says:

Ida’s and Robert’s Top Ten Fragrances of 2018 all look fantastic 3 of the fragrances that most intrigued me were Musc Encensé, Hiram Green Hyde and Bergamotto di Calabria. I would like to think Cafleurebon amd all the great content you have produced this year. I live in Virginia USA
    I would love to win
3.4 oz tester of Musc Encensé
100 ml of Bergamotto di Calabria
50 ml of Hiram Green Hyde

  • It’s wonderful to see an indie perfume like Gardener’s Glove making the list this year. Lost Cherry was my favorite of the 2018 new releases I tried, but I didn’t do nearly enough sampling. I’m in the US and would be happy to win anything, particularly Aedes de Venustas Musc Encensé, 4160 Tuesdays White Queen, Perris Monte Carlo Bergamotto di Calabria, Houbigant Essence Rare, or Parfums de Nicolai Cap Neroli. Thanks and happy new year!

  • I love the end of the year lists! The only one I have tried of these is Tauer’s, which was wonderful. I would love to win the Aedes Musc or Nicolai cp de Neroli In the US.

  • I just wanted to take a quick moment to say THANK YOU for all the incredible content and wonderful draws. The opportunity to own these fragrances is really special. The commitment to editorial excellence on the CaFleurBon team is super. Thank you for your great work! I’d like to win Bergamotto di Calabria, Abel Green Cedar, Antonio Alessandria Fara, Olfactive Studio Leather Shot, Hiram Green Hyde and Parfums de Nicolaï Cap Néroli. I live in Arkansas.

  • It was wonderful to get a peek inside Robert’s taste for “Contemporary Vintage” scents. I too enjoy when history clashes with modern riffs. As a Type A Personality, I also enjoyed his list in alphabetical order. 🙂 (I’d like to win Bergamotto di Calabria, Abel Green Cedar, Antonio Alessandria Fara, Olfactive Studio Leather Shot, Hiram Green Hyde and Parfums de Nicolaï Cap Néroli. I live in Arkansas.)

  • St. Clair Scents Gardener’s Glove is one my wife would adore. Thinking about a realistic summer garden, floral, earthy, with snippets of tomato leaf and well worn leather glove make me want to seek out the fragrance now to surprise my wife. Sounds like a lovely one! (I’d like to win Bergamotto di Calabria, Abel Green Cedar, Antonio Alessandria Fara, Olfactive Studio Leather Shot, Hiram Green Hyde and Parfums de Nicolaï Cap Néroli. I live in Arkansas.)

  • I need to smell again Musc Encensé because I was not in a trance (although it was pretty) on the contrary of Iris Nazarena that I own. And Hiram Green’s Hyde will definitely attract my attention (many thanks for this 2018 olfactory summary of the Beautiful!).

    My choices would be:
    Hiram Green – Hyde
    Houbigant – Rare Essence
Aedes de Venustas – Musc Encense
Perris Monte Carlo – Bergamotto di Calabria
Parfums de Nicolai – Cap Neroli

    I live in the EU.

  • All of Ida’s picks are very intriguing to me, I would be hard pressed to pick just one!

    Alchemy,
Paperwhite, Hyde, Lost Cherry (worst name) and Pride Carnation are the ones I want to try as soon as I get to the US, as I live in France!

Will be in the US soon in case I win anything

  • Love reading the ‘Best of Year’ lists — who doesn’t ?! Also love the fact — as mentioned by others — that the vintage vibe is having a renaissance and that many editors here share the same sensibility, as notables are cross-listed.

If Fortuna favors me — anything would be welcome. Thank you, reside in US

  • Another stunning list.
From Robert’s and Ida’s lists, I’d say the White Queen, Bergamotto di Calabria, and Houbigant Rare Essence really attracted my attention. The description falls in line with my tastes.

    Thanks for the opportunities.
    I live in the US.

  • Richard Potter says:

I always look forward to these year end reviews. Thank you, dear Ida and Robert, for so many gorgeous reviews in 2018. And shame on you for making me want so many fragrances.

All of these sound amazing. I have, and love, Hyde (freaking amazing), Iris Nazarene, and Musc Encensé (both stunning) and am dying to have DSH Paper White and Essence Rare. Thank you, Ida, Robert, Michelyn, Ermano, and all the fine and special folks at Cafleurebon. You all give me life.

I look forward to all the joys you bring us in 2019, and wish you all a very Happy New Year. USA

  • I can imagine that you’ve had a hard time picking only 10 and I’m sure that these must be creme de la creme. Thanks again for wonderful perfume ideas and of course, for the wonderful draw! (EU)
    Houbigant Rare Essence
30 ml of Parfums de Nicolai Cap Neroli
3.4 oz tester of Musc Encensé
100 ml of Bergamotto di Calabria
50 ml of Hiram Green Hyde

  • So many new releases each year – lists like this really help. I would love to win the Aedes Musc or the Cap Neroli or the Alchemy In the US

  • I am going to chase down so many scents on these lists! Thanks so much for the year end best-of lists and thank you for the draws! I’d be delighted to win Parfums de Nicolai Cap Neroli, Aftelier Perfumes Alchemy, Bergamotto di Calabria, and Hiram Green Hyde. Looking forward to 2019’s coverage! Happy New Year!

  • Thank you, Ida and Robert, for sharing your experiences with greatest scents of the previous year, most of the mentionned ones goes automatically to my “want” list, as they sound so good!
I live in the EU and I would love to win (many thanks to the brands, sponsoring this marvelous draw!):
    – Aftelier Perfumes Alchemy,
    – Bergamotto di Calabria Perris Monte Carlo,
    – Hiram Green Hyde,
    – Parfums de Nicolai Cap Neroli,
    – DSH Perfumes Paper*Whites.
Thank you and all the best for 2019!!

  • I’m reading these backwards while the rest of my family watches football reruns as our NYE plans were scuppered by my son being (not seriously) sick and they are making me look forward to upping my testing in 2019. Beautifully written. I would love to try Musc Encensé, Cap Néroli (which I already knew), Houbigant Rare Essence, bergamotto di Calabria (as I already mentioned), Paper*White or Alchemy. I’m in the EU

  • I would love to win any of these beauties but essence rare, aedes musc, hyde, Bergamotto and white Queen are my picks. What hard work this must have been

  • Thank you Cafleurebon, and Ida & Robert for another great list of 2018 scents. I must say, Maria’s Geisha Botan sure is spectacular. I finally got my hands on a sample and am planning to get a full bottle this year. I love Ida’s two word descriptions re Aftelier’s Alchemy and Antique Amergris: floral nirvana vs. ambreine exquisiteness. How could one not choose both? I see Robert also chose Geisha Botan. Rare Essences and Musc Encense also seems to be on almost everyone’s list!
Thanks for the opportunity. I live in the U.S. and would love to win:
    Houbigant Essence Rare
    Aedes de Venustas Musc Encensé
    Bergamotto Di Calabria
    Aftelier Perfumes Alchemy

  • I really appreciate Ida’s eclectic taste with fragrances strong in cherry, leather, floral and so on. It’s great that one can be open to experiencing everything the world has to offer and smell outside the box. (I’d like to win Bergamotto di Calabria, Abel Green Cedar, Antonio Alessandria Fara, Olfactive Studio Leather Shot, Hiram Green Hyde and Parfums de Nicolaï Cap Néroli. I live in Arkansas.)

  • One of my favorite thing about fantastic fragrance houses is how they stick with their “secret signature base” such as Guerlain and their Guerlainade. The Iris Ganache 2018 will be one that I need to experience. (I’d like to win Bergamotto di Calabria, Abel Green Cedar, Antonio Alessandria Fara, Olfactive Studio Leather Shot, Hiram Green Hyde and Parfums de Nicolaï Cap Néroli. I live in Arkansas.)

  • Loved reading this, 2018 was a great year for fragrance and I look for more big hits in 2019!

    Musc Encense
    Bergamotto Di Calabria
    Cap Neroli

Would love any of those! I’m in Canada and thanks!

  • Squeezing in for the end of the year!
How I wish I could try that Bergamotto di Calabria but so hard to get in aus. It sounds like a dream for our warm summer!

My picks for the draw are:
    Parfums de Nicolai Cap Neroli
    DSH Perfumes Paper*Whites

    I am in Melbourne Australia!!

  • Happy New Yeam team Cafleurebon. I am in CA, USA. I would love a fragrance like these as a nurse student.
I would love any of these
    Aroma M Botan
    Houbigant Rare Essence
Perris Monte Carlo Bergamotto Di Calabria
    Nicolai Cap Neroli
    Aedes de Venustas Musc Encensé
