If you remember the original Xerjoff Elle, you’ll know it was nothing short of stunning—I should know, I finished an entire bottle years ago. This new Xerjoff Elle Anniversary edition feels like a fresh reinterpretation of the original DNA. While it borrows the framework of its predecessor, this version wraps itself in a playful, berry-centric skin that’s hard to resist.

The opening is an explosion of ripe red fruits, bursting with the sweetness of bubblegum paired with a jammy heart. It instantly takes me back to those gooey, fruit-filled bubblegum pops from childhood—pure, mouthwatering nostalgia. Then comes the juicy litchi, adding a tropical twist, followed by a crisp bite of crunchy apple. It’s fresh, sweet, and quite flirtatious—a sensory overload that grabs you with the first spritz and doesn’t let go. As it settles, the fragrance starts to show its more sensual side. A beautifully balanced heart of peony, jasmine, and licorice takes over. The licorice is a standout for me, lending its spicy-sweet depth that lingers, transforming the floral structure into something more complex. While the original Xerjoff Elle leaned into amber and spice, exuding a more sophisticated, grown-up vibe, Elle Anniversary feels like its wilder, younger cousin. This one is all about untamed energy, a thirst for adventure, and an addictive, carefree spirit. It’s vibrant, celebratory, and bursting with party energy. Picture her sipping a litchi martini while dancing endlessly into the night—this fragrance captures that exact mood. The juice perfectly matches the soft pink and gold-accented packaging: playful, radiant, and unapologetically youthful.

As it dries down, the tempo eases. The warmth of cashmere wood leaves a lasting impression, while patchouli adds just enough grounding without veering into anything earthy. Rounded out with creamy sandalwood and enveloping musk, the finish is smooth, soft, and comforting.
I didn’t revisit the original Elle after finishing my first bottle, but I find myself gravitating toward Elle Anniversary more these days. Maybe I’m craving something lighter, more carefree, and easygoing—or maybe I’m just dreaming of spring. Either way, Xerjoff has delivered yet again. Xerjoff Elle Anniversary may not reinvent the wheel, but it sets a mood—a playful, unforgettable one.
