Xerjoff Elle Anniversary 17/17 (Sergio Momo) 2024 + Enchanting Giveaway

Xerjoff Elle Anniversary 2024

Xerjoff Elle Anniversary by Olya Bar

“With Elle, I really wanted to capture the essence of the feminine side of the women. It contains fruity notes that are well rounded but blended with very sophisticated Iris and leather notes. “-Sergio Momo, March 2, 2011 about the original in his interview with Michelyn

Let me jump straight to it—Xerjoff Elle Anniversary is easily one of the most stunning bottles in the entire Xerjoff collection. Wrapped in delicate gold flakes and dressed in a soft pink hue, it’s housed in a luxurious croc-embossed leather coffret. Simply put, it’s a gift-worthy beauty that’s impossible to take your eyes off. This enveloping fragrance beautifully honors the original Elle, and is the new fragrance in the 17/17 collection, celebrating its elegance, in the words of the Xerjoff brand, it is a sensual and enchanting scent inspired by the pure beauty that lies at the heart of Elle.”

Xerjoff Elle Anniversary packaging

If you remember the original Xerjoff Elle, you’ll know it was nothing short of stunning—I should know, I finished an entire bottle years ago. This new Xerjoff Elle Anniversary edition feels like a fresh reinterpretation of the original DNA. While it borrows the framework of its predecessor, this version wraps itself in a playful, berry-centric skin that’s hard to resist.

Xerjoff Elle Anniversary ingredients

Xerjoff Elle Anniversary notes via the brand.

The opening is an explosion of ripe red fruits, bursting with the sweetness of bubblegum paired with a jammy heart. It instantly takes me back to those gooey, fruit-filled bubblegum pops from childhood—pure, mouthwatering nostalgia. Then comes the juicy litchi, adding a tropical twist, followed by a crisp bite of crunchy apple. It’s fresh, sweet, and quite flirtatious—a sensory overload that grabs you with the first spritz and doesn’t let go. As it settles, the fragrance starts to show its more sensual side. A beautifully balanced heart of peony, jasmine, and licorice takes over. The licorice is a standout for me, lending its spicy-sweet depth that lingers, transforming the floral structure into something more complex. While the original Xerjoff Elle leaned into amber and spice, exuding a more sophisticated, grown-up vibe, Elle Anniversary feels like its wilder, younger cousin. This one is all about untamed energy, a thirst for adventure, and an addictive, carefree spirit. It’s vibrant, celebratory, and bursting with party energy. Picture her sipping a litchi martini while dancing endlessly into the night—this fragrance captures that exact mood. The juice perfectly matches the soft pink and gold-accented packaging: playful, radiant, and unapologetically youthful.

Xerjoff Elle Anniversary 17 17

Xerjoff Elle Anniversary by Olya Bar

As it dries down, the tempo eases. The warmth of cashmere wood leaves a lasting impression, while patchouli adds just enough grounding without veering into anything earthy. Rounded out with creamy sandalwood and enveloping musk, the finish is smooth, soft, and comforting.

I didn’t revisit the original Elle after finishing my first bottle, but I find myself gravitating toward Elle Anniversary more these days. Maybe I’m craving something lighter, more carefree, and easygoing—or maybe I’m just dreaming of spring. Either way, Xerjoff has delivered yet again. Xerjoff Elle Anniversary may not reinvent the wheel, but it sets a mood—a playful, unforgettable one.

Notes: Red Fruits, Litchi, Green Apple, Bergamot; Peony, Jasmine, Licorice, Cashmere Wood; Musk, Sandalwood, Amber, Patchouli.

  • I think the litchi and licorice notes together sound amazing! Olya makes this perfume sound so appealing. My favorite Xerjoff fragrances are Apollonia and Dama Bianca.

  • I have yet to get to try any of Xerjoff’s creations, though so many are on my list of hopes to sample someday. But THIS one appears to most light my inner fire – feminine, energetic, but still refined and sophisticated. I have newly discovered that litchi suits me – bright, tart and only a little sweet – which lends it towards potential as a signature! If only I could try it…. thank you for this generous giveaway! I live in the USA.

  • I love Italica and Lira by Xerjoff. I would love to try Elle Anniversary. It sounds delicious 🙂 Great article! Thank you, Best wishes, Jenny

  • Wow, sounds like a great happy scent for spring and summer! It’s so cold right now, this fresh fun vibe appeals on a number of levels. I’m normally not drawn to juicy fruity bubblegum scents but this does sounds like an experience worth having!

  • Who wouldn’t love childhood nostalgia. At any age I think we all would love carefree and easy going… I think this would be a winner for everyone. My Favorite Xerjoff is Via Cavour I… Soo good!!

  • nanadourado says:

I agree with Olya’s review of Elle Anniversary, Xerjoff has delivered yet again. This is definitely the best lychee on the perfumery market, one of my favorite fruits! My favorite perfumes from the house are Apollonia, Elle Anniversary, Tony Iommi Monkey Special and Richwood! Good luck to everybody ❤️

  • Olya points out that the original Xerjoff Elle was exceptional, but the Anniversary version twists the original DNA into something familiar yet different; more playful, flirtatious youthful, with its fruity notes, sweet bubblegum accord and floral notes of peony and jasmine that paired with licorice, takes this fragrance into unique territory—the combo of sweet-spiciness and floral notes elevates the overall composition. The youthful playfulness is tempered in the dry down with patchouli and sandalwood that at the finish, is smooth and comforting. That she has gravitated to Anniversary over the original, is high praise for this new take on a beloved scent.

  • kusudamakitten98 says:

I love Olya’s description of “sipping a litchi martini while dancing endlessly into the night”! In fact, the description, with the nostalgia, the sweetness, and the sophistication, reminds me of Elle Woods from Legally Blonde. I am very excited to try this scent and embrace my inner girly girl! I have not tried any other Xerjoff perfumes before, but this one sounds amazing.

  • Great review! Love the nostalgic description of the bubblegum pop! My favorite Xerjoff is Naxos ❤️

The new Xerjoff hype train is coming i believe . Elle Anniversary 17/17 is not only is inspired by Sergio Momo wanting to capture the essence of the feminine side of women , but i also think it represents the beauty , passion, lust , and sensuality of both Italian women , and men.
Ideally balanced explosion of ripe red fruits, jasmine, licorice, patchouli and sandalwood , and it’s made by Xerjoff? Not to mention Olya said it reminded her of “those gooey fruit-filled bubblegum pops from childhood ” . Wow….
Elle Anniversary 17/17 is truly awesome fun and playful fragrance , and I believe I’d feel in good spirits while wearing it.
My favorite Xerjoff is Lira .

  • Ramses Perez says:

I’ll start by saying my favorite Xerjoff, that happens to be from this same collection too, it’s still Symphonium. If you want an upscale and luxurious chocolate fragrance, look no further than that one. On to Elle Anniversary, I never tried the original one (or Homme) but I do have to agree with Olya that this bottle is just beyond. Actually, looking at it, you can kinda pick the red fruits and litchi accords based on the bottle itself. I’m dying to try it and even though it’s targeted for women, I happen to love lots of fruity scents so come one, come all. Thanks to Twisted Lilly too because this bottle is not cheap! I’m located in the USA.

  • Elle Anniversary sounds wonderful. The stunning bottle. The beautiful gold flakes. Love the notes Elle Anniversary sounds playful and energetic. Youthful and casual. I do love lira. Thank you for this chance USA

My favorite Xerjoff fragrance is Lira. I agree with Olya’s review. Xerjoff delivers again! An exceptional creation. thank you for this generous giveaway! I live in the USA.

  • Eris.can.swatch.kaos says:

Elle 2.0 (as I’m calling it) sounds like a youthful dream bottled for our consumption. I love the inclusion of licorice here, it breaks up the fruity/floral aspects with some spice. Xerjoff has always been out of my price range, but I’m saving for a bottle of Lira, so I’d say that’s my favorite. I live in Oregon.

  • The way Olya described that bubblegum opening with the jammy heart took me right back to my childhood. I haven’t tried any Xerjoff fragrances yet, but this might be my gateway into the house. That litchi note sounds absolutely divine!

  • scenchanting says:

What truly speaks to me in this review is how Olya captures the fragrance’s ability to tell a story. Starting with those childhood reminiscent bubblegum notes and maturing into something more sophisticated with that licorice heart… My fav is Torino 22 from the house. US

  • Renaissance is my holy grail Xerjoff, but this review has me intrigued. The combination of licorice and peony sounds unusual yet compelling.

  • The description of that drydown with cashmere wood and sandalwood sounds heavenly. I always worry about fruity openings being too sweet, but this seems perfectly balanced. Currently loving Cruz del Sur II from Xerjoff. I live in the US.

  • I appreciate how Olya compared this to the original while highlighting its unique character. Naxos has been my favXerjoff, but I’m ready to branch out into their other offerings with this one. Best wishes, Thanks.

  • whispering moonlight says:

Finally, a fruity fragrance that doesn’t sound basic! The licorice note especially intrigues me. Lira has been my only Xerjoff experience so far. I have recently discovered that I love litchi accord so this one is surely going to be on the top of my list.

  • What really appeals to me about Olya’s review is her beautiful comparison between the original Elle and this anniversary edition. This one sounds like it truly honors its predecessor while carving out its own identity. The way she describes that transition from playful fruit notes to sophisticated woody base is so beautiful.

I have several favs from Xerjoff, namely Naxos, Lira, Erba pura.
Thank you for this thoughtful review and generous draw.

  • Such a detailed review! well done Olya. I love how it captures both the youthful and sophisticated aspects. Elle sounds perfect for spring, would love to try it.

  • Reading this review feels like unwrapping a beautifully packaged gift with each layer reveals something more intriguing. I am particularly fascinated by how Xerjoff has managed to blend that nostalgic bubblegum note with sophisticated elements like leather and iris. The fact that Olya finished an entire bottle of the original Elle and still finds herself drawn to this version speaks volumes. Crossing my fingers for this draw. Favorite Xerjoff fragrance is Italica.

  • Such evocative writing Olya. Can almost smell those juicy fruits and warm woods through the screen. Renaissance is my Xerjoff holy grail, for winters I love their Starlight.
    Good luck to everybody

  • That croc-embossed leather coffret… my collector’s heart is racing. 40 Knots is my current Xerjoff love, but this sounds like a must try. I will definitely get my hands on a bottle as soon as I get a chance. Hoping to win this time. US

  • ScentNScent says:

I’ve been collecting perfume for over a decade now, and there is something special about Xerjoff’s ability to balance playfulness with sophistication. Olya’s description of the litchi martini moment shows that it’s not just about smelling good, it’s about capturing a mood, a moment in time.
I have so many favorite’s from them- Uden, Naxos, Nio, Fiero.

  • scentense95 says:

What a gorgeous bottle. The review really brings the scent to life especially love the litchi martini imagery. Dama Bianca is my current favv. Xerjoff has delivered yet again.

  • sourbergamot says:

What appeals to me in Olya’s review is the overall progression from those juicy opening notes through to the creamy sandalwood base sounds. While Renaissance is one I love the most from from the house, this might be the perfect addition for those days when I want something more carefree and spirited. That stunning pink bottle with gold flakes looks gorgeous.

  • Reading about that bubblegum and jammy heart is making my mouth water. Never tried Xerjoff but this sounds incredible.

  • As someone who actually remembers those fruit filled bubblegum pops Olya mentioned, this review really struck a chord with me. I love how Xerjoff has taken that sweet nostalgia and elevated it into something so good.
Though I haven’t had the chance to try many Xerjoffs yet but amongst the ones I have tried I loved Italica and Lira.
    I live in the USA.

  • Thebluelotus says:

Been following Xerjoff for years (Nio devotee here) and this sounds like their most intriguing release yet. That licorice note has me very curious, just cant wait to smell it. Thanks to Cafleurebon, Olya and Twisted lily.

  • autumnblue9 says:

Love the detail about the transition from playful to sophisticated. Starlight is my current fave but this sounds amazing! Great review Olya <3

  • I had to read this review several times because each reading revealed something new to get excited about! The way Olya describes the evolution from that vibrant, fruity opening through to the lovely dry down is the real highlight of this review. My Favorite Xerjoff is Via Cavour I…

  • fragtrail909 says:

Oh my goodness, this review transported me. The imagery of sipping litchi martinis while dancing the night away is exactly the energy I want to embody in 2025. I have been saving up for my first Xerjoff (torn between Lira and Dama Bianca), but this might have just jumped to the top of my list.

  • Controlledbyscent31 says:

Beautifully written! The contrast between the playful opening and complex drydown has me intrigued.
My fav Xerjoff is hands down Uden. Hoping to get my hands on this one 🙂 USA

  • fragrancegorlie says:

Love how Olya describes the progression, the bottle design alone is worth the splurge. Currently obsessing over Naxos.

  • When Olya mentioned finishing an entire bottle of the original Elle, I knew this review would be special as we perfume enthusiasts rarely finish bottles.
The way she describes this anniversary edition as a ‘wilder, younger cousin’ of the original has me interested. That combination of bubblegum sweet opening evolving into woodsy drydown sounds like exactly what I’ve been searching for. I currently love Italica from the house of Xerjoff.

  • Being a perfume collector for over 7 years, I’ve watched Xerjoff’s evolution with great interest. This review perfectly captures what I love about Xerjoff, how they balance playfulness and bring out the best each time in their creations. Can’t wait to try this!

  • shining stones says:

Been waiting for this review! The original Elle was my wedding fragrance, so I’m emotionally attached. This sounds different enough to stand on its own while honoring its roots. Thanks Olya for this review, really appreciate it.

  • This sounds like the perfect spring fragrance! Love how Olya painted such a vivid picture. Nio is my signature but I’m ready for something more feminine and this seems to fit the best.

  • Imagining a fruity licorice leather scent sounds divine. Currently I am enjoying Xerjoff Torino22 and Monkey Special.

  • This sounds so juicy and delicious! It’s loaded with berries! I adore the Xerjoff brand. I think the quality is incredible. But I’ve only ever owned gourmand ones – Golden Moka is my favorite. I’d love to add a fruit one!

    I live in the US.

  • That fruity opening followed by licorice is really interesting. I loved the review and I am really interested in thie perfume now. My present fav from the house is Apollonia.
    US

  • Having tried most of the 17/17 line with Symphonium being my current favorite, I’m fascinated by how they have managed to create something that sounds both youthful and refined. The addition of licorice to balance the sweet fruits is particularly intriguing and all this with stunning presentation. The pink and gold combination is pure luxury.
Thank you for another thorough review Olya.

  • redwheelbarrow says:

You are not kidding about that bottle, it is gorgeous! It has been quite some time since I visited Elle and I don’t really remember it well, but the updated version sounds so good! I love your description of this as Elle’s wilder, younger cousin. The stages you describe sound beautiful. I love Xerjoff and I don’t think it’s possible to pick a favorite but Naxos was my first and has a special place in my heart. Thank you for the draw. From the US.

  • Odor Aeternitatis says:

The comparison to the original Elle while highlighting its unique character is so helpful in Olya’s review. That fruity-licorice-woody progression is so beautiful in my opinion. Excited to smell this masterpiece.

Finally, someone else who remembers the original Elle. I have been hoarding my last few ml for years. The bottle alone is worth collecting. Gold flakes and pink? Yes please!!!!!
Alexandria is my current favorite from Xerjoff.

  • Being relatively new to niche fragrances, we missed out on the original Elle offering. However, this new interpretation being flirty and fun while remaining grounded seems the perfect antidote to long winter days! Xerjoff’s presentation is simply top notch, the bottles themselves being works of art! Naxos wins its share of accolades, but my current fave is Tony Iommi Monkey Special. It’s perfect for a night out or when performing and the packaging is absolutely rockstar worthy! Cheers from Ohio! 🙂

  • Brad Woolslayer says:

This sounds like a wonderful fragrance to look forward to wearing this spring. The fruity floral flirty playfulness make it sound like it would be a real joy to wear. I haven’t tried any Xerjoff fragrances before, but this sounds like a safe fun introduction to the brand. I live in Maryland USA.

  • Wow the flacon and presentation is gorgeous. I love gold and soft dusky pink (my boudoir color scheme) and it’s definitely pulling me in to try this. I have not tried many by Xerjoff. I have Iriss and Corallo. I love both of them. This sounds lovely! Thank you for the generous giveaway. I am located in the U.S.

  • This sounds Nice. Especially the bubblegum and litchi fruity opening. This does sound pretty versatile but I think it’ll make a great Spring/Summer fragrance. Will make a great gift. Would like to try it. Uden is one of from Xerjoff that I like. Thanks, Ca

  • Loreta Stonkuviene says:

Olya’s review is very informative and the notes blend sounds amazing! I would really love to try it 🙂

  • I like how Elle Anniversary 17/17 is not just a great composition , but it’s made to honor the feminine side of the women according to Sergio Momo perceptions.
Clearly fragrance with a character, that has a lot of layers, fresh, floral , sweet , playful, nostalgic spicy and woody. I love such non-linear artistic perfumes , something to be expected of Xerjoff of course.

“The opening is an explosion of ripe red fruits, bursting with the sweetness of bubblegum paired with a jammy heart. It instantly takes me back to those gooey, fruit-filled bubblegum pops from childhood—pure, mouthwatering nostalgia.”

I felt the same way when I smelled thr tobacco in Naxos for the first time . Also enjoyed the way Olya told us about how she’s dreaming of the Spring already.
So uplifting , so vibrant , Elle Anniversary 17/17 is a happy fragrance with a beautiful bottle.
Naxos and La Capitale are my favorite Xerjoff fragrances . I’d love to compare Elle Anniversary 17/17 and La Capitale
    Thanks for the draw

I LOVE Xerjoff!! Two of my favorites in my collection of all time are Lira and Dama Bianca. To see that this Elle Anniversary is a more feminine youthful version really intrigues me. Those notes seem to gravitate me more than original because Olya describes it a more playful and joyful spin to it which I know I would love…California, USA.

  • Olya eloquently observes that while the original Xerjoff Elle was extraordinary, the Anniversary edition offers a captivating reinterpretation, blending the essence of the original with a fresh, dynamic twist. This version exudes a more playful, flirtatious, and youthful charm, brought to life by vibrant fruity notes, a whimsical bubblegum accord, and elegant florals like peony and jasmine. The addition of licorice introduces an unexpected yet harmonious edge, elevating the fragrance into a realm of uniqueness. The interplay of sweet spiciness and floral sophistication makes the composition truly stand out. As the scent settles, its youthful exuberance gives way to a velvety dry-down of patchouli and sandalwood, creating a warm, smooth, and comforting finish. Olya’s preference for the Anniversary edition over the beloved original is a testament to the success of this bold and innovative evolution. Greetings from NY 😉

  • I love that bottle, perfect for the capturing of the feminine spirit. I didn’t smell the original, but would love to try this more carefree version. Berry in fragrance sounds good for the upcoming spring weather. My only experience with this line are the Casamorati line. I especially love Dama Bianca and Italica. Thanks for the chance. USA.

  • The way Elle’s twee red fruit and bubblegum opening transitions into flowers and licorice is intriguing. That latter note is unusual and a clever foil to a fruity floral, especially over a warm base. Beautiful presentation too.

I’m in the USA. I haven’t tried any Xerjoff perfumes.

  • Thanks Olya for this beautiful review!
I’m familiar with almost first batches of Elle. And Anniversary sounds beautiful. Can’t find words to describe beauty of bottle.
I’m big fan of Xerjoff and one of my favourite is Alexandria 2 .

  • The bottle of Elle Anniversary is very beautiful. However, it’s always what’s on the inside that truly counts. The opening that’s reminiscent of fruit-filled bubblegum pops sounds quite nostalgic. I am particularly drawn to the peony, jasmine, and licorice. As Olya mentioned, it really does sound radiant. The cashmere wood sounds comforting. Olya mentioned she might just be dreaming of spring; springtime fragrances are some of my very favorites!

I love many fragrances from Xerjoff. Some of my favorites include Richwood, Dolce Amalfi, Shunkoin, Apollonia, Cruz del Sur II, White on White One, and many more.

Thank you, Olya, for the great review, and thank you to Twisted Lily for the generous giveaway. I am located in the USA.

  • Learning about the Elle Anniversary 17/17 was such a delight , awesome post Olya ! The different facets set up by the perfumer are impressive.
The new Xerjoff , new to me at least , is not one dimensional , there’s berry-centric skin and playful elements , jasmine and licorice , tiny bit of patchouli, and sensuality coming from the sandalwood . Posh fragrance with carefree spirit , I need such perfumes in my collection.
I’d wear Elle Anniversary 17/17 on a date , or open air live event , such situations I think will suit the fragrance best. I’ll look for samples.
Out of all Xerjoff lines, my favorites are Casamorati Lira , Opera , Italica and Amabile.
    Overly exciting giveaway, USA

  • Sergio Momo, like almost all Italians i met truly love his country , cherish Italian culture, and is proud of his heritage, I love it. I like how with Elle and Elle Anniversary he focuses on the essence of feminine side of the women.
When I think of it , I like everything about Elle Anniversary, the peony and jasmine , the musk , licorice and especially the delicious pile of juicy fruits, and of course spectacular looking bottle.
Olya going back to her youth with fruit-filled bubblegum pops was helpful to me, to sort of feel better the spirit of Elle Anniversary.

“Then comes the juicy litchi, adding a tropical twist, followed by a crisp bite of crunchy apple”

I almost visualized how I’m booking a hotel, flights, and packing up the bags to some tropical destination.
The best Xerjoff fragrances i know in my opinion are Cruz del Sur II , followed by Golden Dallah , and then comes my old love Lira.
    Thank you the opportunity
