Tommi Sooni’s Four New Limited Edition Perfumes Promotion: Solve the Mystery

One of my favorite perfume peeps is Steven Broadhurst of the Australian niche brand Tommi Sooni and one of the fragrances I find myself wearing a lot these past few weeks has been  Eau deTommi Sooni II.  Steven emailed me about four mysterious unisex fragrances limited edition scents that are being offered with any purchase from the website. Every customer who places an order from now until January 2013 will receive 2ml of one of them, chosen at random. Being the nosey perfumista that I am, I asked Steven to tell me more and here is his reply:

Four Seasons by Claude Noel

"The mystery  perfumes are only available with our online promotion and will not be available for sale. There are 4 very limited quantity perfumes that are best described as 'abstract unisex fragrances'. The idea behind this Tommi Sooni promotion is to give our customers the opportunity of wearing an exceptionally rare, artisan perfume without having to pay the luxury price of bespoke. They are so rare because the batches are so small ( less than 500ml ) and they will not be made in commercial quantities for sale.

I can say all fragrances are original and were created for Tommi Sooni. I did have in mind that each fragrance reflects the seasons: winter, autumn, summer and spring. They were made as a 'thought' project and not intended for release. We do not charge for postage on our orders so there is no added cost to the customer when ordering. One mystery fragrance per customer/address. I am deliberately not elaborating on notes or fragrance families as it is luck of the draw as to which fragrance will be included with each order".

Steven isn't revealing the name of the perfumer…curiouser and curioser. We know a bit about the "luck of the draw" at CaFleureBon, but I really, really want to know what these fragrances are…don't you?

  • Very curious. On the other hand its a very nice marketing strategy to solicit online sales. I like some of the Tommi Sooni fragrances and I am sure they have their followers.

  • Hm, not so curious, more annoyed. Sometimes a fabulous gift inspires a purchase I might not normally make. In this case I have no idea if I would even remotely want the gift, so no real inspiration to investigate further. Kind of put off.

  • I got an e-mail from Steven a few days ago and I was immediately intrigued. This is my chance to buy Passerelle, I adore it and ge the chance to sniff something so rare and exquisit!
