As I said when I started “It is isn’t, it oughta be..” The one thing that is true is that Eight & Bob was my favorite fragrance I hadn’t tried before at the August 2012 Elements Showcase.
I believe the Atleier Cologne collection are a sort of light and dark, yin and yang kind of collection. For Rose Anonyme and Vetiver Fatal I believe perfumer Jerome Epinette has created one of each.
The newest release by Chanel, Coco Noir is meant to be a popular perfume and I mean that with both sides of the popularity blade in play. Like Bleu de Chanel in 2010, Coco Noir is created for the woman who has a few bottles of fragrance on her dressing table. I expect Coco Noir will be the number one selling fragrance this upcoming holiday season and for those not immersed in perfume it will be something they very likely will buy again, it will be popular.

Perfumer Andy Tauer, a CaFleureBon pick for Perfumer of the Decade, is one of my personal favorite perfumers. Recently, he embarked on a journey of collaboration with filmmaker Brian Pera to create perfumes based on characters in Brian’s film project, A Woman’s Picture. I received 7 ml bottles of Tableau de Parfums scents; Loretta, and Dark Passage, a limited-edition scent created especially for this project.
It is a difficult thing to lose an artist too soon. The loss of their potential is what those of us know them through their art miss the most. A few months after her death we received news that she had finished a last Le Nombres d’Or called Rose Etoile de Hollande and now it is here to be enjoyed.
