Carner Barcelona Cuirs was the single best new fragrance I hadn’t tried before at Elements Showcase. Sara Carner enlisted perfumer Sonia Constant to create a fragrance, “redolent with nostalgia for a bygone era of artisan ateliers, where pipesmoke filled the air fusing with the scent of finely tanned leather.”
kudos to the folks at Anthropologie who are unafraid to work with some of the most talented niche perfume artists instead of dumbing them down for the masses they say to them, “follow your muse and let us create new fans for you”. This set of all four Floral Curiosities is going to create new fans for Ineke Ruhland
A trend that has sprung up over the past few years is new perfume lines driven by one person’s singular vision. The latest example of this comes from Celine Verleure and her new line of perfume Olfactive Studio.
When Anthropologie and Ineke Rűhland join forces, quality is a given. Anthropologie has shown itself to be innovative in the choices of fragrance which grace their artful boutiques- brick-and-mortar, and also on-line. Ineke has created four beautiful new fragrances- not a single “meh” among them.
As a nod to beautiful ambery fougere fragrances of jive (think Jicky) I added a real amber base which I tainted a bit with opoponax. The result as you can tell is deeper, more sensuous, very skin friendly and extremely long lasting. Roja in particular was delighted about this amber addition.
