Antonio Alessandria Parfums, Olivier Durbano and Bruno Acompara at Pitti Fragranze
CaFleureBon was the first to announce Olivier Durbano’s SpeM PetraM, his newest perfume inspired by Mary Magdalene and for Olivier his most spiritual fragrance which uses nard (which according to the New Testament, Mary Magdalene used to anoint Jesus’s feet. Sr Editor Lauryn Beer has reviewed Antonio Alessandria’s new Dies Auorae which was inspired by his childhood of Catonia and the Feast of Sant Agata. In this video, our editor Sebastian interviews them as well as 10 other brands including Bruno Acampora who chose Miguel Matos as a new perfumer for their collection that was inspired by Studio 54.
Francesca Bianchi, Step Aboard and Acqua dos Acores at Pitti Fragranze
Francesca Bianchi introduced two new perfumes to her collection, (Contributor Elena Cvjetkovic recently wrote of Sex and The Sea Neroli and former Contributor Danu Seith Fyr of Etruscan Water)- Lost in Heaven and Dark Knight, a vetiver fragrance are new. Ermano has presented Acqua dos Acores “whose aim is to distill terroir in perfumery”. Step Aboard is a new brand and the spray paint/ graffiti concept is imaginative. The perfumer is Bertrand Duchaufour.
Parfums Dusita, Essential Parfums and Atelier Matieri at Pitti Fragranze
Noteworthy is that Parfums Dusita will soon debut Pavillion des Ors, a very green, tranquil scent and that Essential Parfums Divine Vanille is aptly named (Ida and I snuck at sniff at Esxence). Also watch for Atelier Matieri.
Mesonsol, Catherine Omai and L’Arc Parfums at Pitti Fragranze
New was Mesonsol founded by Tamas Tagscherer which uses the concept of “core perfumery”, Catherine Omai fragrances are inspired by the culture, landscape and tradition of the people of Nigeria, and the people’s diversity, strength and passion. Also featured in the videois L’Arc Parfums, with its unique artistic perspective.
