  • Citrus and peppery can be very nice together. Enjoyed hearing about the citrusy appeal in the video and how it’s suited for the weather coming up in summer. Nice that it’s long lasting and fresh. US

  • I am a PDM fan, my favorite house. I have more than 20 fragrances because I turned my wife into a fan as well, but I don’t have many summer fragrances from the house. Sedley, Greenley, Percival, and Darley. That’s it, I would love to get this fragrance, sounds right up my alley and I trust Steven’s nose.

  • Le Sharro Wilson says:

This was a nice read for an article. Castley will be a scent I’d love in my PDM collection. A nice citrus for the summer or summer nights with a beautiful woody accord can’t wait to get my noise on it.

  • Just when I thought greenly was my favorite. From Steven’s review I can see myself doing a blind buy. Was in need of a new fresher scent. Great job.

  • Le Sharro Wilson says:

  • Tom Rodgers says:

I tried this in Dillards and I fell in love. It places me in the mind of Amouage Reflection family but its own thing. I think it is my new love.

  • revrodgers says:

I tried this one in Nordstrom a few weeks ago and I just love the scent. It is a spicy freshy and I have to get my hands on it.

  • Brad Woolslayer says:

I like the idea of citrusy, spicy, and woodsy. Also, long lasting and compliment getting. I’d love to win a bottle of Casley for the summer. Big congrats to Steven for 4 amazing years with Cafleurebon! I live in Maryland USA.

  • I always appreciate his detailed breakdowns. Castley being no different. It was good to hear the longevity was 8 to 9 hours! Really looking forward to smelling this fragrance.

  • rhuynh2005 says:

I’m not too impressed with PDM’s freshies. I like their winter fragrances. However, according to Steve’s review, this might be the strongest freshie. I will give it a try.

  • RockyRoad79 says:

Steven is one of my favorite fragrance reviewers, I love the way he describes a fragrance with such vivid detail. Congratulations on four years with Cafleurebon!

I have yet to get my nose on this fragrance but I’m so looking forward to it…PDM is one of my favorite fragrance houses.

  • Greg Graham Sr says:

This sounds like something I would like to have in my life. I live in the South USA AND it’s getting warm. Thank you STEVEN AND CAFLEUREBON FOR YOUR GENEROSITY.

  • Daniel Castaneda says:

I like Steve’s content because it’s entertaining and very helpful! Also a big plus is that he does women’s perfumes, which helps when I’m looking for something for my girlfriend.

  • aussiebleu says:

Steven’s review of PDM Castley absolutely makes me want to try this. Its unique blend of rich, woody undertones with hints of citrus and floral notes creates a balanced and captivating scent profile that should be a great addition to my collection as well a summer go to this year.

  • Katie Lee says:

Oh man this would be absolutely amazing to give to my boyfriend for his birthday. He’s so picky about his scents but with the way Steve describes the scent it sounds perfect. I’m disabled and my bank account was hacked so I don’t even have rent this month this way I could give my man something!!!

  • Daniel Gozzi says:

I can’t wait to try it, I like PDM and have Percival, Layton. I understand it is different from most of the other PDM, fresh spicy .

  • Brandon tearney says:

Great article! I myself head a sample mailed to me and is divine. I am following you on Instagram as well. Be well.

  • jennapark says:

Steven is great fragrance reviewer. He has a way of talking about a fragrance so the listener really gets a feel for it. I really enjoy Parfums de Marly they are an amazing house. In his review of Castley he says it’s a long lasting fresh fragrance which is perfect for summer. I like that he says its professional elegant and compliment getting. I am very excited to try this. I’m in Pennsylvania USA

  • Congrats on 4 Years Steven. You are the best and most trusted. Loved the new video and so excited to try Castley. The fact that Steven says it is the Longest Freshy that PDM offers is amazing. That’s such a game changer.

  • Daphne Pitts says:

The notes in the fragrance intrigue me! Even though I am a woman, i gravitate towards the more masculine fragrances. I find the majority of ” female” fragrances are just a bit too Floral and sweet for my body chemistry. I do not have any bottles of perfumes tamale but I have gotten a few samples of their fragrances. This one to me seems to be worth purchasing!

  • Raul Hernandez says:

Steven’s YouTube video beautifully captures the essence of PDM Castley, highlighting its refined blend of citrus and labdanum while providing a compelling breakdown of its depth and longevity. Its insightful analysis and engaging presentation make it a must-watch. Great job!

  • Melvin Battle says:

This is a very timely release. I appreciate Sedley for it’s masculine fresh scent and I undoubtedly am excited about a new masculine fresh offering that Castley will offer. PdM never disappoints with its quality and creativity. If you haven’t seen Steven’s video at the PdM boutique, you’re missing out on a fascinating behind-the-scenes buying guide type presentation. Castley very well could be my year round choice, given the climate where I reside.

  • Randy Herron says:

This one is dropping just in time! A nice summery yet professional scent is needed in the collection considering I just started a new position.

  • I always love Steven’s reviews. He’s always up to date on the newest things!

  • Everything about how this fragrance is described intrigues me. Love a citrus woody scent.

  • I loved steve’s review on PDM’s Castly, my self I own 5 PDMs Fragrances my favorite is Layton folliwed by Seedly and Perseus

  • Steven sparked my interest in discussing noble Akigwalawood which I don’t think I have knowingly encountered in my fragrances. Hopefully Nordstroms carries Castley because I would enjoy checking it out.

    I’m in the US

  • Maastura bluesock says:

A woody base for summer nights sounds perfect for me. I usually like citrus with something floral or fleshy but I’m curious about a pdm citrus. I don’t mind sweet citrus but I typically wear woody or spicy scents. Pdm spicy scents are not my fav but since it’s a more confident citrus scent it’s still intriguing . I live in Florida US and I’m subscribed to Steven yt (cutekitten12)

  • Caleb Monestime says:

Just started gettin into pdm n have Layton and sedley. How you described the notes n vibe of this one sounds very interesting

  • Another great review by Steven. This is one I have actually smelled. I love it! I’ve the combo of spicey and fresh!

  • Ramses Perez says:

Steven, congratulations on 4 years and to
many more as a contributor as you have become a weekly watch for me. This one it’s a very interesting PDM release. Fresh, spect but also with a touch of amber to extend the life of the scent. The freshies from Marly continue to make a good impression and do not lack on the longevity department. PDM is readily available in many places so I must get my nose on it soon. Many thanks to Fine Fragrances Distribution for this amazing giveaway. I’m located in the USA.

  • kcrusso122 says:

Very excited to experience this beautiful fragrance. I love the way benzoin is incorporated. This fragrance sounds elegant, sophisticated, yet still playfully seductive.Thank you Stephen for sharing your knowledge and insights. Many of your recommendations have been spot on and you are a treasure.

  • Steven did an excellent job of describing “Cassley”, making it easy for viewers to understand its profile. The detailed scent description, the comparison to other PdM fragrances, and the personal experience regarding longevity were all very helpful and engaging. Steven is certainly an asset to your site. Happy anniversary. Wishing you a long fruitfull partnership.

  • cebaxter08 says:

Recently sampled this fragrance. Its very elegant and classy. A scent for more refined gentlemen. Could be unisex leaning masculine but very fresh and clean profile. Was very happy to hear Steven’s professional review on this new PDM release.

  • Grant Geozeff says:

Incredible job on the review Steven! I have most of their fragrances and haven’t been dissapointed with PDM yet, so I want to give this a shot also.

  • Congrats to Steven on four years! Absolute OG in the fragrance space. I’ve been waiting for reviews of this to pop up. Love that Steven mentions how long lasting it is. The notes remind me of Bois Imperial which I’ve seen some comparisons to. Interesting that Steven said that it was a unique fragrance which is contrast to what I’ve been hearing about this release. Even still, always have to try a new Marley release.

  • Castley looks promising. I have four parfum de Marly’s offering and I love them all. Excited to try this one. Hope I’m luck enough to win!

  • ammvazquez says:

I’ve heard this has a bois imperial similarity and I’m looking forward to checking it out. Steven’s always trusty because though he has plenty of obscure niche, he enjoys his mass appealing scents and it seems this will be up that alley. Will be following on insta as well!

  • This one looks interesting. A new summer pdm fragrance release right in time for summer! I really want to try it. I have Sedley and Greenley and I love them for the hight heat. The notes in castley sound fresh and citrusy. Can’t wait to add it to my collection!

  • Shawn Messer says:

Steven always provides useful insight into existing and emerging fragrances. I love his review on this unique PDM Castley. My wallet is getting thinner! I look forward to more reviews.

  • PDM has been my favorite house for three years with Haltane being my signature scent. When I heard about Castley, I immediately ordered a sample. I rely on Steven’s reviews more than most and find him to be the most knowledgeable of the fragrance youtubers. He says Castley is along the lines of Sedley and Greenley but I’m hoping it is a bit more like Galloway. Fresh and active fragrances are up my alley. I’ll let you know!

  • alhasis.Manar.qatar says:

Parfums de Marly gets a lot of hate because of the success of its perfumes. I’ve sampled Castley and it’s an awesome unique summer fragrance in my opinion. I instantly put it on my list to purchase, but it would be great to win it!

  • I don’t have a PDM fragrance because I can’t afford it but I have many clone but hope one day purchase one original…I don’t have a favorite because I love them all…

  • FragranceIsMe says:

Congrats Steven on 4 years with CaFleureBon. Fresh and citrusy scent with an amber labdanum drydown, topped off with very good performance, especially for a freshie. This seems to be a perfect addition for this time of the year. Looking forward to getting my nose on this one 🙂

  • Castley feels like a bold yet refined addition to the Parfums de Marly lineup. It carries that unmistakable PDM DNA—opulent, smooth, and layered—while introducing a fresh twist. The opening is vibrant and elegant, but what really stands out

  • I enjoy Steven Fully Honest Review and thank you Steven for the Honesty. This Castley is what I am aiming for. Will be my 1st ever PDM.

    Thank You

  • This one is a mystery to me. I got a 5ml sample and sometimes I absolutely love it while other times I find it becomes overwhelming. This one last an above average amount of time on my skin and projects off me quite a bit. Love the article and yalls work

  • Hi everyone,
This is probably my most anticipated fragrance of the year. I appreciate Steve and ÇaFleureBon for the opportunity to have a chance to win this wonderful fragrance. Parfums De Marly is my favorite fragrance house, and its beautiful artistry is displayed in its fragrances. My favorites are Greenly, Percival, and Sedley. Winning this fragrance would be phenomenal as it’s challenging to find. I am super excited for Castley, and thank Steve for the exceptional description of the fragrance!

  • Brandon J says:

Citrusy ambery sounds like a longevity beast especially for NY summers. This is a fantastic release and I love sedley so this sounds right up my alley. Steven always has a vivid explanation that almost allows you to smell it through the screen. Congrats on 4years titan in the game. Thank you Steven. NY, USA

  • I own Greenley, Percival and Sedley, hope this new PDM is as good as the other freshies. Ginger and Citrus, super excited to try it!

  • Sherin Thomas says:

Love this release. I don’t have many summer fragrances from the house. Sedley, Greenley, Percival, and Darley. That’s it, I would love to get this fragrance, sounds right up my alley and I trust Steven’s nose.. From PA, USA

I’m really excited for what’s to come from joining here! I got really excited when Steven used Christian Grey to describe the new PDM!

  • Serena Michelle Barnett says:

I always appreciate Steven’s description of the fragrance. Citrusy and peppery sound great for a masculine fragrance for the summer. I love Parfums de Marly so I’ll be checking this fragrance out for my son and/or husband – depending on their preference.

  • PerfumesforLife says:

Congratulations Steven. His review of Castley was superb. I am a fan of fresh fragrances and I like the sound of zesty fresh citruses in this one along with neroli but also the intertwined woody notes, labdanum and benzoin. As a fan of Sedley I think I will love this one as well.

    USA

  • HueloBien says:

I only own one Parfums de Marley, which is fantastic for cold weather, and Sedley has been on my radar, and Castley sounds like a scent I will enjoy.

The fact that it has a great longevity, it’s already something I always keep in consideration because fragrances don’t last long on me.

Congratulations to Steven for 4 years s on here. A great, calm, well known , knowledgeable video contributor.

From the US, cheers to all.

  • I am a huge fan of PDM I own Layton,Herod,Perseus and Sedley. It’s one of my favorite niche houses out there. The quality and performance on most of their stuff is incredible and huge compliment pullers. I’m so excited for Castley and can’t wait to try it.
Also Steven describes it bright, citrusy and zesty but then that peppery kick to it. I hope I win 🙂
    NJ USA

  • I got sample of Castley for my husband. My husband loves it. It’s his new favorite fragrance. Steven did a great job throughly describing the fragrance. Castley is definitely very peppery especially upon first spraying. The projection and longevity are great as to be expected from Parfums de Marly.

  • benxjones says:

I tried a sample and really enjoyed Steven’s video as always. Hoping for the best!! It is a great smell.

Castley looks fantastic. Love how Steven compared performance with other freshies. So glad to hear about Castley’s 9+ hour longevity. “Kick of spice freshie”. A couple nfident well out together person woukd wear it. Can hardly wait to try.

  • WOW! This site is amazing. I didn’t know all the informative news this site has.
Steven’s video was amazing as always. He touched on points that make a video entertaining, like meeting with the North American president of PDM before its release for a sample. Those are the attention grabbers in addition to the note’s & performance of Castley.

  • Excited for castley. PDM is my favorite niche house. I love their fresh fragrances. Current favorite is Sedley. Thanks Steven for always putting out great content.

  • jonny_brackney says:

I’ve been a longtime viewer of Steven’s channel and I really enjoyed his review of Parfums De Marly Castley and how descriptive he was about each of the notes and how the fragrance performs on skin. On the other hand, I love the idea of Castley, a unique and long lasting fresh fragrance, can wait for my decant to arrive…

  • Steven’s reviews are always top notch. I love how concise he is with the note break down and describing the entire scent journey. I can feel the passion behind every review he does.

I’ll be directing multiple commercials and personal projects this summer and I would absolutely love to have Castley be my signature on scent!

Cheers to Steven for the years of providing me and many others with honest and entertaining fragrance content. Congrats on whoever wins!

  • I appreciate the Sedley and Greenley analogy to Castley. I will need a sample because neither Sedley nor ol Greenley are my favorite PDMs. I tend to like their fall and winter fragrances better.

  • Javier Cancel says:

Castly is a breath of refined elegance—Parfums de Marly once again proves their mastery in blending sophistication with modern appeal. It opens with a smooth confidence, delicately balancing freshness and warmth, and settles into a base that feels both regal and comforting. It’s one of those rare fragrances that feels instantly familiar yet entirely new. A beautiful addition to the PDM lineup!

  • Javier Cancel says:

Steven’s review of Castley perfectly captured what makes this fragrance feel so refined yet dynamic, his breakdown of the citrus-spice-woody interplay really brought the composition to life. I especially appreciated how he highlighted the movement within the scent; it echoes Julien Sprecher’s vision of elegance and contrast.

Congratulations to Steven on four amazing years with CaFleureBon, your passion and insight continue to inspire fragrance lovers like me!

Just received a sample of Castley recently and it’s exactly what I would expect from a PDM freshie. Awesome juice.

  • the gentlemansjoker says:

I really enjoyed his review and can’t wait to try Castley myself. I’m a massive fan of PDM and think this has potential to be one of their best freshies by looking at the note breakdown.

  • Steven’s video really laid out the intention of the brand behind this fragrance, as well as having described the notes quite well. I am very excited to get my nose on this fragrance, given Steven’s enthusiasm behind this wonderful creation.

  • Robert Taylor says:

I am a Redolessence subscriber and I follow @cafleurebonofficial now on instagram. I always enjoy his opinion on new scents particularly of my favorite brand PDM. His review is spot on and Castley reminds me of a combination of Sedley and Percival with a little bit of Layton thrown in for the base.

  • Deangnosis says:

Steven is always so kind and clearly has a lot of passion for the art of perfumery. I like how he will compare a new addition to a house to others in their lineup, it gives you a better sense of what you can expect as far as scent profile and performance. It’s sounds like a lovely scent for summer. Look forward to trying it. USA.

  • Sounds like a clean modern fragrance perfect for warmer weather. Citrus and pepper are a great combination and the wood accord grounds the notes nicely. Love to try this genderless PdM. MD, USA

  • yada.yada.yada89 says:

Steven always has such a great way of describing the notes and ingredients and how they help with longevity for example.

The day you posted this I was actually lucky enough to be attending a masterclass at Saks Houston lead by Rich Rosenfeld (National Sales Director US for Parfums de Marly). We got to try so many offerings from the house but of course the star of the show was Castley. It is such a great summer fresh scent. Can’t wait for my bottle to arrive from PDM.

I’m in Texas and I follow all of you on Instagram.

  • Cameron Case says:

Congratulations Steven on four year anniversary. I also enjoy watching your videos your such a linguist and always describing scents so informatively and eloquently. Long time subscriber. Keep up the great work.

  • Well done Steven on 4 years of great collaboration with Ca Fleure Bon! I would love to try the black pepper plus citrus component in Castley. I am helping my husband get into fragrances and find his signature scent, something appropriate for daily wear with his public-facing job, and the description of this sounds right up that alley. Also, his skin seems to devour scents, so the longevity Steven describes might be good for him in particular. For my own interest, even though I might not want to wear a masculine-leaning fragrance myself, I would also look forward to getting to know a petigrain note a bit better. I am in MA.

  • Rocky Vega says:

Thank you Steven. I enjoyed your review and decided to go check out Castley at Sacks. It smelled exactly how you described it. I enjoyed it so much that I left with a sample. I could have purchased a full sized bottle but the wife looked at me strange once she saw the price . Anyway, thank you again and I look forward to watching your next reviews.

  • Fresh PDM has to be a banger. This review as always gives a realistic honest take on the fragrance no fake hype or buzzwords just his honest thoughts.

  • sandman01104 says:

I have been a fan of PDM and Steven for quite a few years. This video does not disappoint like all his others, love his style and the way he always makes me want to run out and buy anything he is reviewing. Can’t wait to sample this it sounds like the perfect summer fragrance.

  • Josh Landry says:

The most I liked about his reviews, are how he goes into depth about everything with the Fragrance. But the part that matter most to me
Is his talks about performance and longevity . I really like to know these two factors of a new Fragrence. So thank you for that Steven !! Keep doing awesome reviews I love your content. And I followers along on IG @joshlandry

  • ACE978370 says:

Steven’s unbelievable knowledge of perfumary gives me the utmost confidence when purchasing some of these fragrances. It’s as if you’re smelling the fragrances through watching his reviews and listening to his detailed note breakdowns. I’m a huge fan PDM, particularly their “freshies” like percival and Sedley…so this feels like a no brainer. Thank you Steven for all the work you put in providing us with exceptional fragrance content

  • Hugo Juice says:

First, Congrats to Steven for the wonder 4 years he has spent with you all!!! I love that Steven has a very calm and nice way of describing the scent profile. His videos are always very professional and always include exactly the information I’m looking for when making my decision about whether or not I am going to be buying a fragrance. PDM Castly sounds like it would be perfect for the Hot summer weather in Texas 🙂

  • Happy Anniversary, Steven!!!

This sounds like such a gorgeous spicy yet fresh fragrance. Neroli is always such a fantastic note in a spring/summer scent. I know my boyfriend would enjoy this one a lot. I bought him Layton Exclusif (as well as a backup). Would love to win this for him!

    I live in the US.

  • Winning Parfums de Marly Castley would be a dream come true. It’s more than just a fragrance—it’s a statement of style, confidence, and elegance. I would wear it proudly, knowing I’m experiencing a scent crafted with care and distinction. It would feel like owning a piece of luxury, and I’d be genuinely grateful for the chance to make Castley part of my personal collection.
With love Cafleurebon reader and Steven Redolessence follower from USA

  • Congrats Steven on 4 yrs with CaFleurBon! I appreciate your detailed reviews as it is not always easy to imagine the scent of a fragrance based soley on written or spoken words. Your description makes it so easy to know that Castley is definitely one to add to my list! Thanks so much. USA

  • Steven has always been one of my go-to fragrance reviewers—I adore how he brings scents to life with such rich, vivid descriptions. Huge congrats on four amazing years with Cafleurebon!
I haven’t had the chance to try this one yet, but I’m seriously excited to. Parfums de Marly never disappoints, and I have a feeling this will be another winner.

  • Congratulations Steven! I have smelled Castley and it is really fresh and citrusy and in the same vein as Greenley, Sedley and even Galloway. Would love to add it to my collection. Now I’ll think of 50 shades of Grey when I smell it, lol, thanks Steven!

  • As a huge PDM fan, I cannot wait to get my nose on this one. I own 9 PDMs currently, hoping to soon make it an even 10.

I thoroughly enjoy Stevens’ fragrance reviews, as they provide insight and clarity that enrich my overall appreciation of scents. Whenever a new fragrance catches my attention, I always check in with him to hear his thoughts—his perspective adds a layer of understanding that is indispensable to my fragrance journey. As a dedicated fan of Parfums de Marly, I take pride in my collection, which includes standout choices like Greenly, Sedley, Carlisle, Althair, and the ever-popular Layton. Each fragrance boasts its unique character, showcasing the artistry of the house. However, I find myself particularly drawn to the intriguing combination of pepper and ginger found in Castely, which I would love to add to my collection. The vibrancy and warmth of this blend have me excited to explore that fragrance further, making it the perfect addition to my treasured Parfums de Marly lineup.

  • Michael Steven says:

Steven mentioned that if you like Perceival you’ll like this. We’ll, I can’t wait to try Castley, coz I absolutely adore Perceival (and Perseus).
Hopefully I’ll win a new bottle. I’ve spent a pretty penny on PDM so it’ll feel nice to be rewarded with a free bottle.

  • I’ve been looking for a new fresh fragrance. Love PDM, my favorite fragrance house. I have Greenly but for some reason it doesn’t stand out for me, although I do love it. It doesn’t last long to me. The notes to Castley has me excited, looking forward to trying it. Parfums de Marly is a house full of geniuses lol

  • I signed up for a sample of this but it has yet to arrive so maybe I’ll win a bottle before it gets here. Steve said it’s fresh, zesty, and long lasting so let’s celebrate 4 years!

  • Daisy Perez says:

Wow!! I had no idea that PDM was releasing a new masculine fragrance! I’m so excited to sample it. I hope it’s unisex. If not I will still try it out for my husband. He is a Frag-Head as well. I love PDM fragrances. The notes on this new perfume sound promising.
Steve just sells me on all these

  • teatreesoil says:

oh my, a day late but congratulations stephen on four years!! as always, his video reviews do a good job explaining what to expect from the fragrance in terms of vibe, longevity, etc. in particular, i appreciate the explanation about amber notes– i’ve seen and smelled amber in a bunch of fragrances but never knew what amber was exactly!

  • Congrats on the anniversary Steven! Four years of videos is a ton of work—thanks what you do.

Steven described this citrus fragrance as “effervescent”, which sounds terrific, especially with a bit of heat from the black and Timut pepper. Glad it leans fresh without feeling like a sport fragrance; that probably owes a lot to the “ambery vibe” of benzoin and labdanum, which also extends the wear. Castley sounds like an easy to love fragrance for warm days.

    I’m in the USA.

  • Yvans Jean Michel says:

I’m thrilled to learn about Parfums de Marly’s latest release, Castley. The description of it being “an ode to the pleasure of navigating between ultimate elegance and untamed nature” truly captures my imagination. The combination of citrus and ginger notes, as mentioned in reviews, suggests a refreshing and invigorating scent profile. As someone who appreciates fragrances that balance sophistication with a touch of adventure, Castley seems like a perfect addition to my collection. Thank you, ÇaFleureBon, for this insightful review and the opportunity to experience this new fragrance through your generous giveaway.

  • This one sounds like a definite summer hit and Steven certainly gave a ringing endorsement of Castley!! Love the idea of a bright citrus freshie with some pepper to spice it up. Steven also complimented the longevity of this one and that’s often a hard to find quality among fresh summer scents. Congratulations to the four year anniversary of your partnership!!

  • This fragrance sounds fresh and invigorating. Parfums De Marly knows how to create a lasting and unforgettable scent. Congrats to Steven on 4 years of being a contributor. US, follow on Instagram.
