Parfum d’Empire is a world renowned independent brand which will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2023. Parfum d’Empire continues to be an oasis in today’s olfactory landscape and founder and perfumer Marc-Antoine Corticchiato always brings a piece of his soul to every bottle. For his new fragrance, the Corsican perfumer is sharing his love for vetiver, one of the most popular raw materials in perfumery. Often thought of as “masculine” due to its woody and rooty facets, vetiver’s warm, racy and elegant tones makes it timeless. In Parfum d’Empire Vétiver Bourbon, the perfumer wants to rekindle this powerful and almost rough character which he believes has been widely “urbanized” in fragrances for many years.

At the Parfum d’Empire Vétiver Bourbon press event Marc-Antoine Corticchiato spoke of the importance of vetiver outside perfumery,  for example its effectiveness in combating soil erosion thanks to roots that can go up to two meters deep in the ground. Resistant to cyclones, it is a plant which is an asset for poor countries and has medicinal virtues recognized since Antiquity. Parfum d’Empire Vétiver Bourbon pays homage to the type of vetiver grown on the Île de la Réunion (formerly called Île Bourbon when France took possession of it in 1642), whose essence is considered “the” highest standard and in nearly impossible to find  and remains the most beautiful to work with for the perfumer. As he did for Parfum d’Empire Mal-Aimé, Marc-Antoine Corticchiato pays tribute to his deceased friend Lucien Acquarone, an incomparable distiller of plants used in perfumery; they  went on many trips in search of  the finest raw materials. Whenever  Marc-Antoine and Lucien went to their extraction unit located in Madagascar, they would always stop over in La Réunion to stock up on vetiver essential oils, and watch the harvesting of its roots, which requires incredible strength. They then came up with the idea of recovering “Bourbon” strains to plant them in Madagascar and perpetuate the unique quality of this rare and multi-faceted vetiver.

Parfum d’Empire Vétiver Bourbon is a wild, mineral and intense fragrance, double dosed  with the raw “bourbon” essential oil accompanied by a vetiver from Haiti to lift the intensely earthy and aromatic notes of great intensity,  that is true to its DNA. To give the fragrance even more character, Marc-Antoine Corticchiato has also combined angelica root, peppery and vegetal, with cloves for a spicy effect that raises the temperature. If Parfum d’Empire Vétiver Bourbon celebrates the nourishing earth, it also underlines its nobility through an orris butter paired with cedar wood which rounds off any hard edges without ever changing the wild spirit of the perfume. Ambrette seed (vegetal musk) lightens it up.

On the skin, Parfum d’Empire Vétiver Bourbon generously offers all its woody and earthy facets from the very first seconds. I can recognize “MAC’s signature, that of a perfumer who knows like no other how to make Nature speak through a bottle, where the raw materials are used in abundance, but without marketing fanfare and in perfect balance. As time passes, Parfum d’Empire Vétiver Bourbon continues to smell very natural playing between light and dark, sophistication and wildness. At first, its boldness might challenge those with more sensitive tastes.  Stay with it as it  unfolds this fragrance is quite complex and seemingly simplicity hides a fragrance with warm and woody tones that go perfectly with the floral and spicy facets created by Corticchiato, the magician.

In addition to the release of Parfum d’Empire Vétiver Bourbon, the other good news is that several of the brand’s perfumes (including this one) are now not only available in 50 ml… but also in 100 ml!

Notes: angelica, ambrette seed, clove, vetiver essence, iris, cedar wood, cistus.

  • I thoroughly enjoyed Emmanuelle’s article, and especially the fact she described this vetiver as aromatic, but also noble, with temperature raised by the spicy notes. It’s also fantastic that Marc Antoine Corticchiato used so many raw materials in perfect balance.
I do like vetiver fragrances, as long as they are not an absolute solinote. As a woman, I find it most wearable when blended with smoother, warmer notes in order to create a crisp, yet soft experience.
    I don’t own any Parfum d’Empire fragrances.
    Writing from the EU.

  • I never tried the house of Parfum d’Empire. I would love to try Vétiver Bourbon. It sounds like a unique and stunning fragrance. I feel that it is a very informative and beautiful review. I don’t own any Parfum d’Empire perfumes. I love vetiver fragrances they are really special for me. I live in Poland, EU.

  • I am a huge fan of Parfum D’Empire. From the review, Vétiver Bourbon seems like a deep vetiver fragrance with huge doses of vetiver combined with notes like angelica root and cloves. No wonder, it gives a woody and earthy vibe. My fav. from Parfum d’Empire is Cuir Ottoman. I am in US.

  • Fan boy of Parfum D’Empire here! I would have to say my favorite of the line-up is a toss-up between Le Cri de la Lumiere and Tabac Tabou.

Aside from announcing a new fragrance on the heels of Mal-Aimé, Emmanuelle’s review citing a balance between “light and dark, sophistication and wildness” certainly piqued my interest and certainly can be used as a frame of reference for all of MAC’s fragrances for the line. I’m looking at you Fougere Bengale…

Favorite vetivers are Vetiver Veritas by James Heeley and Route du Vetiver by Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier.

California based, and appreciative of the news and opportunity.

  • My favorite PDE is Wazamba. I currently have no PDE perfume full bottles. Yes I like some vetiver fragrances. US

  • Symbian Pandora says:

I have a bottle of Musc Tonkin. It is quite old now, at least 10 years. 100ml. I use it on special occasions. I have 2 vetivers, one by Frederic Malle and the original Eau Sauvage Parfum. The strongest I ever owned was MPG Route d’ Vetiver. This sounds similar in strength after reading this wonderful review. I would love to be entered in the draw. Thank you to all. USA

  • This is fortuitous, as I was just investigating Parfum d’Empire a few days ago. I haven’t tried anything by this company, but I have been interested by what I’ve read and would love to smell something! I love vetiver, and I like the idea of leaving it a little bit untamed and wild in this perfume. Thanks for the opportunity!

  • I’ve never sampled Parfum d’Empire but vetiver and bourbon sound perfect. I like that the article ended with good news. I’m from New Jersey, USA.

  • Great review, really enjoyed Emmanuelle’s description, an aromatic vetiver sounds just perfect (vetiver lover here). From Parfum D’Empire house my favourite would be ambre russe and i do own it, as for a favourite vetiver based perfume i would pick sultan vetiver from the house of nishane. Thanks for the draw, i’m in the EU.

  • As a big fan of Parfum d’Empire and Corticchiato’s art, I’m thrilled to learn of this new fragrance. I appreciate Emmanuelle’s review and retelling of Corticchiato’s expeditions to source materials. Vetiver is a favorite of mine this new fragrance sounds divine. My favorite Parfum d’Empire fragrance is most certainly Le Cri de la Lumiere, and I also own and love Corsica Furiosa, Acqua di Scandola, and Cuir Ottoman. I live in the US.

  • BostonScentGuy says:

I love the idea that there are some uncompromising elements of this scent, but that, as it develops, nuances and shades of the raw material emerge. I love all kinds of solo vetiver oils because they are so multifaceted. Excited to smell a perfume that picks up on the peppery spiciness of the scent. Huge fan of Parfum d’Empire as well. My favorite is probably their beautiful and somewhat offbeat Cuir d’Ottoman, the highly original Musc Tonkin, the boozy Ambre Russe, and the sweet, spicy, slightly-curried Fougere Bengale. Thanks for the generous draw! I’m in the US.

  • There is no doubt I will love this. Vetiver is my favourite note and that amazing MAC promise a rough and virile sensation makes it even more promising. I adore Œillères for Roberto Greco. As to Vetivers I love the underrated Ombre Fumée by Evody which features Vetiver from La Réunion in a slightly sweeter way , and then the thick smoky candidates like PR Fumidus or MGO Vetiver Man or Burrow by Libertine.
Please let me win this to Germany, thank you for the draw!

  • Gabriel Garcia says:

My favorite firsthand is cuir ottoman and ambre russe, add this to a nice review by Emanuelle, with a total spotlight on the famed vetyver of the world, I grew up loving the old classic scents.
    Cheers Marc Antoine.

Notes: angelica, ambrette seed, clove, vetiver essence, iris, cedar wood, cistus. A beautiful description by Emmanuel I love vetiver I like the cooling and spicy facets. My favourite from this house is Ambre russe. Thanks a million from the United Kingdom

  • At first, its boldness might challenge those with more sensitive tastes. Stay with it as it unfolds this fragrance is quite complex and seemingly simplicity hides a fragrance with warm and woody tones that go perfectly with the floral and spicy facets created by Corticchiato, the magician. A beautiful piece by Emmanuel I am a fan of Vetiver fragrance but I have not tried anything by this house I am afraid. Thanks a lot from the UK

  • Nice review Emmanuelle! So excited to read about a new perfume from Marc Antoine Corticchiato. I think he has one of the best and honest collection nowadays, being his corsican line a piece of art where he is able to encapsulate nature in a bottle. Now he turns to vetiver, the most widely raw material used and with thousand of interpretations. He wants to give us the real root – the bourbon one-( in his endless look for the best oils) in a “wild, mineral and intense” fragrance. Earthy with the help of angelica roots and spicy thanks to the clove. Interesting what he explains about vetiver combates soil erosion and can be an asset for poor countries. My preferred scent from MAC is Mal-Aime , an amazing mix of inula and orris. I love vetiver, I have some scents with these root: the work Nathalie Lorson does with Encre Noir is great, The classical Guerlain… I live in Spain, EU.

  • Vetiver with iris and angelica definitely sounds like an interesting combination. I think adding ambrette and clove amplifies the unusualness of the whole experience. Something that I would totally enjoy.
    Thanks!

  • I have been waiting for the launch of this perfume since I first heard about it. Corticchiato is one of my favorite perfumers because his artistic sensibility manages to touch something very intimate in me. The first time I tried Azemour, I was really moved and when I smelled the perfume created for Roberto Greco and I fully understood his art, I recovered the samples of all his creations. I like all of his Corsican-inspired perfumes and how he uses narcissus and helichrysum.
Despite being a woman, I’m really into vetiver and love it when it’s very earthy and rough. Angelica and iris butter are two other fetishes of mine. I can’t believe that in this perfume I’ll find so many of the things I love in perfumery

I deeply enjoyed Emmanuelle’s review, especially the attention brought to the origin of ingredients as it seems to be really important for Marc-Antoine Corticchiato. I discovered Parfum d’Empire few years ago, and since then I fell in love with their beautiful fragrances. Each of them is unique, but my personal favs are Acqua di Scandola for its freshness and Cuir Ottoman for complexity and a lot of nuances. So naturally my curiosity for the latest creation, Vétiver Bourbon, is enormous! I live in EU

  • I had the wonderful chance to test the whole line of Parfum d’Empire in 2011 if I recall correctly and I remember that there were some interesting ones, with my favorites being Cuir Ottoman and Aziyade. I am curious as how this house developed over time, as more than 10 years have passed since I have tested anything from them. They had a splendid selection back then that would satisfy every taste and demand, and I am sure that the offering is much richer nowadays with perfumes like Tabac Tabou, Immortelle Corse and the new one – Vetiver Bourbon.
Thank you for this giveaway! It would be great to be the winner, but good luck to everyone!

  • Emmanuelle’s review sparks my interest about this earthy vetiver bourbon bomb! I like the details given for vetiver and I love, love vetiver fragrances. I am so curious to see how angelica and iris match up with the rest notes. My favourite Parfum D’Empire is Equistrius but unfortunately I don’t own any perfume from Parfum D’Empire. I wish this giveaway to be my chance to win one! I live in Greece (EU).

  • So, love Vétiver and paired with bourbon seems perfect for fall season. I have no knowledge or experience with this house but it appears they produce an excellent fragrance My wife might not like the bold opening on me as she is sensitive but I’ll apply less and see what happens. Thank you. USA

  • Very nice review, that explain a lot of facts about vetiver and its use outside perfumery.
Very interesting description of the notes also.
Never tried the brand and I do not own any of their perfumes, this would be the first.
Love vetiver, as it is a really classy and masculine note.

  • Great news and review Emmanuelle. I have three Parfum d’Empires: MuscTonkin, immortelle corse and Wazamba. Each are among my favorites especially Musc Tonkin which is the best Musk ever created I think. Vetiver Bourbon with its two different vetivers (bourbon and Haitian)sounds like a new classic. I live in Italy

  • THank you for the nice review Emmanuelle.

It was really great to read about Marc-Antoine Corticchiato acknowledging the importance of vetiver outside the perfume industry. It has been used as a medicine all over the East and is often used to cool the body and the mind. The loss of Bourbon vetiver to climate events is indeed a great loss and one can hope that there are more efforts to propagate these beautiful plants.

I adore vetiver fragrances in all forms – Lalique Encre Noir, Guerelain Vetiver, Eccentric Molecules 03 eetc

I have not tried this brand before.

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • Nom de Guerre says:

Oh, my – I’m so looking forward to this release! More vetiver!
Fougere Bengale so far is the only full bottle from Parfum d’Empire that I own (and it’s an absolute love). Will have to order the full sample set to change that. Emmanuelle, thank you for your review! “Light and dark, sophistication and wildness” is exactly what I look for in my fragrances. Greetings from Riga, Latvia.

  • Thanks for the review Emmanuelle!

I love my Vetivers. To me it’s the most versatile note and it’s something I love to wear when I want to feel clean and professional. Which is all the time!

What piqued my interest was Bourbon in the name. I have some Vetiver fragrances, but I don’t have anything “boozy’, which to me sounds amazing and I’m a little shocked I never thought of this!

I have not tried any Parfum d’Empire’s creations, but I’m mesmerised by your article and your description of Marc-Antoine’s creativity. I would love to give this a wearing this fall!

    Greetings from the UK!

  • I always enjoy reading about the harvesting of the raw materials and where they came from….on to Google maps I go. Since I’m fan of unisex fragrances, I do enjoy vetiver. My favorite from Parfum d’Empire is Wazamba. Thanks for another awesome article and draw. Mich USA

  • I love vetiver and all it’s nuances, such a complex material that reflects the terroir and origin of growth. The list of notes paired with the vetiver sound very unique and original. I’m not familiar with this house but love it’s devotion to natural materials. I’m in the USA, thank you for the draw.

  • I have several Parfum d’Empire scents. But, I would say my;favorite is still the first one I purchased…..Equistrius. It was one of the early scents in my niche journey. I didn’t realize that there was a Bourbon Vetiver. I look forward to sniffing this version.
    I am in the US.

  • I have several vetiver scents, but I don’t believe any of them have that spicy element of clove and angelica that’s present in PdE Vetiver Bourbon. I certainly appreciate the quality of raw materials Marc-Antoine Corticchiato uses in the composition. I’ve not tried any Parfum d’Empire fragrances before. MD, USA.

  • I have never tried anything from this house. This does sound interesting based on the review, with vetiver and clove. I don’t remember seeing these 2 notes together in anything I have tried. Thanks for the draw! US.

  • foreverscents says:

I am a huge fan of vetiver. I like it medicinal. I also burn vetiver roots as aromatherapy. I like how Emmanuel described the earthy and vegetal notes in Vétiver Bourbon. I like angelica and cloves, so I think this fragrance would appeal to me. I haven’t tried anything from Parfum d’ Empire, but I have heard that many of the fragrances pay tribute to Corsica.
    I live in the USA.

  • Shibuichi2000 says:

this was an extremely beautiful review, that shares with the readers the passion for quality and exquisiteness of MAC :). it was interesting to read about vetiver – a plant that I know nothing about, since it doesn’t grow where I live.
but thanks to fragrances like Vétiver Bourbon, I can hear (or feel?) nature telling me all about vetiver and the magic of MAC.
    I live in EU.

  • Thank you for this review! I couldn’t wait to read each new sentence. I really felt like I was on the ride with you. And so I interesting to learn about vétivers role in the wild. I haven’t yet experienced any Parfum d’Empire fragrances yet, and I do thoroughly enjoy vétiver fragrances. Writing from the EU.

  • I am a big fan of MAC’s art and I own a few Parfum d’Empire Bottles (Osmanthus interdite, Equistrius, le Mal Aimé, Aqua di Scandola, to cite a few). I think the Corsica line of MAC Parfum d’Empire renders the beauty of raw materials in a complete unachieved manner, still making sure that the parfume tells us a story at the end (it goes far beyond the use of gorgeous raw materials). In Emmalnuelle’s review, I am particularly thrilled by the description of the evolution of Vetiver Bourbon, which seems to go from earthy vetiver to more sophisticated iris and warms woods. I am looking forward to discover it. I ma still looking for my ideal vetiver perfume. Who knows ? this one could be the one ?
    Writing from France,

  • Tabac Tabou is my favorite of all!
Reading Vétiver Bourbon’s review I realized what has been said about the perfumer who knows like no other how to make Nature speak through a bottle, where the raw materials are used in abundance, but without marketing fanfare and in perfect balance.

  • Such an interesting review! I am really falling for and enjoying the ways vetiver is used in perfumery. I love to hear about the rich history and details of ingredients. I have a background in wine making and I find it so interesting how similar these to art forms are. The finest details in ingredients and process make all the difference in the world. Unfortunately I have yet to try any Parfum d’Empire fragrances. Honestly this is a fairly new passion I have found and I am sad it has taken me this long to find the community. Thank you for this opportunity to try such an interesting fragrance! So far this sounds like it could be my favorite!

  • Thank you Emmanuelle for the detailed review. I’m a fan of vetiver and from the sound of the review, Vétiver Bourbon is in a class of its own especially with being blended with spice notes. I’m in USA

  • I really enjoyed Emmanuelle’s review! I love how she described it as wild and natural but still smooth. I do enjoy vetiver in fragrances but often I find it too sharp. I love the idea of adding orris butter to smooth it out! My favorite Parfum d’Empire fragrances are Ambre Russe and Fougere Bengale (I own decants of both), and I’d love to try more from them. I’m in MN, USA.

  • I loved Emmanuelle’s review! I agree that Corticchiato has a way with materials – a DNA, if you will – that make his perfumes stand out from other brands’. On top of that, I also simply adore bold vetivers – Vetiver Veritas being an absolute favourite of mine – so my interest is absolutely piqued!

So far, I don’t own any Parfum d’Empire fragrances, but I’ve sampled many and have been impressed by their uniqueness and depth. My favourite would probably be Iskander, but Azemour les Orangers and Musc Tonkin would be close too! I’m in the UK and would love to try this! Thank you for hosting the giveaway, and to Parfum d’Empire for their generosity!

  • I never smelled a perfume from the house, i really eant to have this experience! I’m from Orlando, FL.

  • Great review delivered by Emmanuelle. I love vetyver fragrances and this one, with its raw notes surely is something I would love to smell.
My first Parfum D’Empire fragrance was Le Cri de la Lumiere and it was amazing. I love the creativity this house has and how every fragrance is something unique that stands out from the market.

  • Big fan of Corticchiato and I have a feeling this might be one of his best like Mal Aime. Maybe the tribute to his friend Lucien has a lot to do with it too

  • Regis Monkton says:

I’m very interested to try this fragrance and for multiple reasons, e.g.:
-I love vetiver fragrances (especially if it’s a spicy vetiver fragrance)
    -it’s list of notes
    -Emmanuelle described it as playful.
I found Emmanuelle’s review to be informative and insightful, e.g. when she mentions what M.A.C. said about the importance of vetiver, and also, because she made this fragrance seem to be high-quality and appealing. I’ve been wanting to sample all of Parfum D’Empire’s collected works, but I haven’t had a chance to do that yet. I live in the U.S.A.

  • Parfums d’Empire i have heard, but I never had a chance to try them out.Michelyn is recommending their fragrances quite often, and i tried to find the sample set, but all US online stores i trust ,and buy from do carry the brand, but not the sample set.
Vetiver Bourbon is appealing to me because of of the contrast between light and dark, the sophisticated smell, and the Île de la Réunion connection.
I love very much artisanal vetivers , Vetiver Bourbon sounds like a fragrance i’d enjoy
    Thanks for the draw

I loved Emmanuelle’s review of Parfum D’Empire Vetiver Bourbon and learning more about the legendary brand Parfum d’Empire as well as their founder and perfumer Marc-Antoine Corticchiato. I loved learning more about vetiver which is also one of my favorite fragrance notes, so I love Vetiver based fragrances. I don’t own any fragrances from Parfum D’Empire, but my favorite fragrance from them is Ambre Russe. I am from the USA.

  • Fantastic review Emmanuelle! My favorite Parfum d’Empire fragrance is definitely the stunning suede floral of Cuir Ottoman. I feel Emmanuelle’s review really helps me to understand the point of view of the perfumer and his motivation/goals, in wanting to properly celebrate the powerful and rugged naturalness of Vetiver which he believes has been widely “urbanized” in fragrances for quite some time. I really love fragrances that transport us to a time long past with it’s nod to perfume history. It makes me very interested to try this fragrance. I live in continental the US.

  • Simone BounahedHarb says:

Oh this is exciting!! I don’t own any Parfum D’Empire perfumes yet so I really can’t say I have a favorite but I adore vetiver. Especially Haitian vetiver. I would truly love and appreciate this fragrance. Thank you for an opportunity to possibly own a blend from Parfum D’Empire perfumes.

  • My favourite fragrance is the 3 Fleurs. It is so gorgeous, I cannot get enough of it. I am a fan of two types of fragrances – floral and oriental, and I usually prefer a combination, but it’s an exception.
I did like that the review put a strong emphasis on the fact that this fragrance is very earthy. I’m always interested in notes like these, because the earthiness can mean a multitude of different things – when somethings musky, it’s musky, if it’s smelling like fresh linnen – it’s just fresh linnen. Earthy notes are more of a feeling rather than a particular smell, I might try this one in the future. I don’t own any of the full bottles from this house, but tried a few samples. I love vetiver fragrances, my favourite one is Jovoy Incident Diplomatique – it doesn’t get more vetivery than that. I live in Poland.

  • Vetiver and iris are wonderful together. I wonder how clove and angelica play their role here.
Thanks for the review and the giveaway! Europe

  • Love, love, love Vetiver! And I love how Vétiver Bourbon promises woody and earthy facets from the very first seconds, according to Emmanuelle.

I don’t own any of the Parfum D’Empire perfumes. Would LOVE to have my first!

    I live in Portugal

  • Vetiver Bourbon spicy, woody and musky characteristics are appealing to me. I wish I had the time for vacation for a trip to Île de la Réunion , I wonder how different is the vetiver from the region.
I do own Ambre Russe, and I sampled Eau de Gloire, Saluté and Aziyadé . Aziyadé i will buy for the Winter
Thank you Emmanuelle , and Parfum d’Empire

  • I learned a lot about vetiver reading this review—I was aware of its importance to perfumery, but not its utility for combating soil erosion, or anything about prized Bourbon vetiver as a raw material. Parfum d’Empire Vétiver Bourbon sounds like it manages the challenging feat of creating a distinct spin on vetiver, especially in the vegetal and spicy combination of the signature plant with clove and and angelica root. I appreciate that Marc-Antoine Corticchiato allowed this fragrance to revel in vetiver’s bold, unmistakable tones. Thanks for the review, Emmanuelle. I’d love to try this one.

I haven’t tried any Parfum d’Empire fragrances, but I do love the vetiver fragrances I’ve tried. I’m in the USA.

  • AdventurousFox says:

What a beautifully written review! And an amazing gesture from Mr. Corticchiato to pay hommage to his late friend. For a long time I didn’t “like” vetiver, but always keep coming back to certain ingredients and accords in hopes of my perception and taste changing. Vetiver was an acquired taste for me and it took me 2 years to change from dislike to curiosity. So far I stuck to the vetiver notes masked or drowned with some other notes, but would love to try the mineral, intense and natural interpretation of vetiver in this perfume.

Thank you Emmanuelle! In the ocean of noisy and artificially inflated launches in the designer world, approaches like the one of Parfum D’Empire and fragrances like Vétiver Bourbon appear almost criminally refreshing. Modest and modern, honest and bold, paying homage to the finest natural materials from their initial place of origin. I am simply enamored. I love vetiver fragrances fir their deep rooty, earthy and woody facets. I have not been lucky enough to own any of Parfum D’Empire creations. Many thanks from the EU

  • The reason I discovered Parfum d’Empire was Emmanuelle Varron review of Immortelle Corse . I sampled it, and also AZIYADE .Out of the two , AZIYADE is a better fragrance for what I like , it smells like the Plum and Almonds Cardamom Tart , with fresh ginger i do on regular basis at my bakery, together with a little bit of incense. I had to buy a bottle .
Réunion is French territory, near by Madagascar as far as I know . I like how the special vetiver was revived in one bold fragrance.
AZIYADE is awesome, I wonder what Marc-Antoine Corticchiato cooked with Vétiver Bourbon , formal occasions vetiver if I have to guess.
Appreciate the review, and the giveaway campaign

  • I knew Parfum d’Empire name for many years, and after reading Ida’s lovely review of Saluté , I decided to sample the whole range. I asked my younger cousin , who’s getting back from Europe soon, to order the set for me , so thank you Ida The sample set costs €60 , with free shipping to EU , and €20 extra for shipping to US. It’s a great deal, because you not only get all the samples, but also €20 off on your next purchase from Parfum d’Empire website. That’s how I discovered the brand, thanks to Ida , and my cousin.
Obviously I don’t know Vetiver Bourbon, half French and half Madagascan tropical vetiver , playing with both lightness and darkness.
Out of all Parfum d’Empire samples , Wazamba i like the most
    Thank you for the opportunity
