A nail biting contest ensued, with twelve canine candidates vying for top place. Meg shot into the lead, right up to ten minutes before the poll closed, when she was pipped at the post. I can’t help thinking that if the successful candidate had been judged not just on visual appeal but also on how they smelled Meg the perfumista spaniel would have been victorious.

To be frank I found it difficult to hold on to my A Perfume Organic Mejica sample long enough to write this review. I had a lot of ‘foodie’ friends on Martha’s Vineyard trying to slip this one in their pocket!
