In the Fall of 2009 the perfumer who is part of the Turtle Salon, Isabelle Doyen, released Turtle Vetiver Exercise 1. Now a little over two years later we have the second in the series. Instead of being called Turtle Vetiver Exercise 2 it is named Turtle Vetiver Front. It is a simpler fragrance than Exercise 1 but this time the smoky aspects of vetiver are brought to the fore and retained throughout the development.

The color, texture and especially the fragrance of blending custom perfumes continues to captivate me and draws me into its seductive web.
So certainly Serge Lutens knows his cool, but do we know M. Lutens? Only as well as to know that nothing of that which he says in anticipation of the release of his perfumes, can prepare us for what’s to come. So I think I’ve learned to sit back and wait, inhale, exhale and let the impressions come to me as they will.
