The fourth version of Elements Showcase the curated trade show for all thing fragrant just wrapped up after two days August 20-12, 2012 in NYC. As the only real US show of its kind, organizers Frederick Bouchardy, Ulrich Lang, and Jeffrey Lawson continue to provide an American alternative to the European trade shows with a New York City attitude.
What Mr. Brosius has done here is take several strong “standard” perfume notes (jasmine, amber, musk and sandalwood) and turned them inside out.
Kim Spadaro is a relative “newcomer” to the perfume game she has managed to create some extremely powerful and passionate potions.The magic that lies in her three fragrances, Noche de Fuego, Sole Nero, and Doux Amour; is obviously the quality of the raw ingredients used and the panache with which she does so.
For the new Etat Libre d’Orange Dangerous Complicity Perfumer Violaine Collas of Mane had access to the Jungle Essence library to choose from and the three notes she chose were rum, ginger, and coconut. These create a pure exotic boozy quality
Perfumer Miriam Vareldzis of 40notes Perfume created her new, limited edition scent Crystalline Hyacinth with a vase of fresh hyacinths on her desk as inspiration during the late winter and spring of this year.
One of the best discoveries last year was the Australian perfume house of Tommi Sooni. Creative Director Steven Broadhurst and perfumer Brent Schlitter have a very synchronized vision and these two gentlemen create perfume as good as anything found in Europe or North America
