When I heard that the newest release from her Aftelier line of perfume was called Wild Roses I erroneously expected a rose soliflore; Ms. Aftel is a bit more creative than that and her version of Wild Roses creates an olfactory hybrid of a rose.

The limited edition Musc Tonkin is the result of this effort.
Tom Ford’s creations, both in perfumes and on the runway, are hit or miss with me. Even those that miss have an uncanny ability to still come off as stylish. Some, like Noir, are classy while still radiating comfort and a hint of luxury.
