So I sniffed Ormonde Jayne Nawab of Oudh took notes, and got to work trying to figure out where the connection was between what I smelled (bright, spunky, cooling, communicative) and the noble line of rulers of Awadh (visionaries, fighters, rebels, pioneers). I found it in Begum Hazrat Mahal, the second-to-last Nawab… and a woman. Ormonde Jayne Nawab of Oudh is everything you DON’t expect to smell, while making perfect sense in its perfumistic context (and, now, a historical one as well). Thanks to the generosity of Europerfumes, we have a tester of Nawab of Oudh for one registered reader in the US ONLY. The random winner is Frankie. Please email michelyn at cafleurebon.com with Ormonde Jayne Nawab of Oud as your subject and your complete mailing and phone details by February 7, 2020 6 PM EST. Be sure to use your email from your comment so we know it is you. THIS IS A DEADLINE AND NO EXCEPTIONS OF YOU ARE LATE. A warm thank you to Europerfumes and Ormonde Jayne for this wonderful gift in your email to us would be greatly appreciated as we do forward what you write exactly to our generous perfumers, retailers and creative directors.
