As the citrus begins to soften, Solar Flair exposes its heart—a haven of spicy ylang ylang, jasmine sambac, and sweet magnolia. This floral melody resonates with the sacredness of nature, inviting me to connect with my essence. I visualize myself walking through a metaphysical zen garden, each bloom vibrating with the energy of the life-giving warmth and light of the sun. The spicy ylang ylang envelops you, while the jasmine sambac opens your heart to the beauty of connection. The  gorgeous white florals whisper secrets of joy and gratitude, urging me to appreciate the moment. The coconut note adds a creamy gentleness, grounding me as I rise to meet my highest self.

As Solar Flair begins to settle and alchemically blend with the other notes, it encloses me in its divine afterglow, an armor of calmness that radiates from within. The musk and sandalwood create a sacred space, anchoring me. As I stroll through the early morning dawn, the soft glow of the rising sun illuminates my path, and I reflect on the moment. The woody, sensual sandalwood reminds me of how deeply connected I am to the world. Then, the handmade Tahitian vanilla tincture serves as a sweet reminder that life is full of beauty and abundance.  A scented recognize the divine in the ordinary, the ordinary in the sacred, and to celebrate the light within me.

  • Usually, after reading a review, I walk away with a clear idea of what to expect in terms of scent profile or notes. Interestingly, with Sandi’s review, I don’t have that at all. Instead, what I’m left with is a feeling—emotional, almost spiritual. It doesn’t evoke a scent so much as it does an atmosphere. There’s something beautifully intangible about it. – Texas

  • goknitintheocean says:

Jasmine and coconut are big players in our house, at the moment; always looking for a great addition to this rotation as we head into the summer months. “Be aware of the gift that each day brings” is, if not our mantra, at least a daily goal to aim for! So beautiful. Thank you for this thoughtful review. I am in NYC/USA.

  • Solar Flare sounds really warm with shades of red, orange and gold. The citrus combines with heady florals on a bed of musk, woods, vanilla and coconut to make one long for summer. This is my kind of beach fragrance, a playful ode to the sun but still sophisticated. Sounds love.y. MD, USA

  • A solar flair is just what’s needed during the early summer months. That yuzu coupled with mandarin and Ylang ylang screams bright and early. The sweet and subtle mids throughout its base wrap it up making for a special blend. From the color to the contents this says “I’m here”, not to be taken lightly but to be heralded and loved wholeheartedly. Hoping to own, from NC.

  • I love Sandi’s poetic and enlightened review “On The Nose Perfumes Solar Flair shines bright in spring and summer; it is compelling in any season, serving as a fragrant force throughout the year, especially on those dreary days when the sun seems distant.”
    USA

  • Sounds like an awesome scent for summer! Another brand I’ve not tried but would love to. Usa

  • Solar Flair lives up to it’s wonderfully punny name, opening with a ton of bright citrus. The pithy brightness notes never linger for long, but a warm floral heart hopefully helps extend that citrus opening and give the fragrance breadth. This sounds like an energizing wear.

    I’m in the USA.

  • Solar Flair (love the pun!) sounds like the perfect burst of bright energy to set off the early summer here in the northern hemisphere. There’s very little I enjoy more than a pleasant summers day and any fragrance that can evoke that feeling is divine! The transition from citrus top notes to full floral mids, followed by the sweetness and warmth of lingering vanilla and sandalwood reminds me of a single’s day transit of the sun across the sky – starting bright and crisp and warming as the day becomes long. I’d love to try this scent!
    Best wishes from NJ, USA!

  • Sandis review depicts solar flair as a “metaphysical” journey through the energy of a Sun ray. The citrus liveliness soft floral spice and the creamy coconut just triggers this vibrancy of life that fragrance enthusiasts crave. The reminder to ground yourself and embrace everyday as a gift from an olfactive experience is beautiful and draws me to this scent. I Live in the USA. Good luck to everyone

  • I do love solar scents! I’m always on the lookout for a coconut fragrance, but it’s rare that they tend to be “just right”. The yuzu note sounds like it would add a very fun, bright element. I’m also finding myself craving a good magnolia, having watched the petals fall off my beloved front yard tree this week. I am from New England, USA.

  • Seth Weber says:

As the temperature out side slowly rises, pushing through spring, hinting at summer I feel drawn to more floral and uplifting fragrence.

This reviews sence of time, moving through the early morning sunrise, feeling the rays of the sun drew me in.

  • What a beautifully evocative piece! Sandi’s description of “Solar Flair” is truly captivating, painting a vivid picture of warmth, radiance, and an almost spiritual awakening.

Sandi’s phrases like “sun-drenched morning,” “cosmic explosion,” and “watercolor of oranges and yellows” immediately create a strong emotional response. It’s not just listing notes; it’s telling a story about the experience of wearing Solar Flair. The idea of it being an “awakening of my spirit after a winter that refused to leave” resonates deeply, especially as we move through the seasons and long for that first burst of true warmth and light.

The journey through the fragrance notes, from the invigorating citrus to the heart of spicy florals and the grounding base of musk and sandalwood, mirrors the progression of a sunrise. Sandi’s visualization of a “metaphysical zen garden” further enhances this sense of inner peace and connection to nature. The creamy coconut note adds an unexpected touch of comfort and gentleness.

What strikes me most is the profound connection Sandi feels to Solar Flair on a personal level. It’s not just a pleasant scent; it’s described as a “liquid quintessence that speaks to the core of my being” and “ignites my inner light.” This suggests a deeply emotional and perhaps even transformative experience with the perfume. The idea of it being an “armor of calmness” and a reminder to “recognize the divine in the ordinary” elevates it beyond a simple cosmetic and positions it as a tool for self-reflection and appreciation.

I am drawn to fragrances that offer more than just a pleasant aroma, and I continually seek fragrances that evoke a feeling or a memory. The way Solar Flair is presented suggests it could provide uplifting and radiant energy, especially during times when the actual sun feels distant. The idea of a fragrance that can be a “fragrant force throughout the year” and brighten “dreary days” is incredibly appealing.

Ultimately, Sandi’s article beautifully articulates the power of scent to evoke emotions and connect us to something larger than ourselves. Solar Flair sounds like more than just a perfume; it’s presented as an experience, a feeling, and a way to carry a bit of that solar energy with you, no matter the season.

My gratitude to On The Nose Perfumes. I reside in the northwest US.

  • minteacup says:

I appreciate the uplifting affirmations in Sandi’s review. As the days stretch longer and warmer it’s time to think about solar perfumes to complement it. I’ve really been feeling ylang ylang lately and my interest is piqued since Sandi describe this one as exhibiting more spicy facets. I would love to try this perfume line. I am in the USA, thank you for the draw.

  • I have wanted to try Solar Flair since I learned of On the Nose Perfumes. I love ylang-ylang, jasmine, and magnolia, so Solar Flair is right up my alley. I loved Sandi’s comment, “I visualize myself walking through a metaphysical zen garden, each bloom vibrating with the energy of the life-giving warmth and light of the sun”. The addition of coconut and vanilla sounds like it adds the perfect touch of creaminess.

Thank you, Sandi, for your beautiful review, and thank you to On the Nose Perfumes for the generous giveaway. I am located in the USA.

  • Kensolfactoryodyssey says:

Sandi’s review glows with such emotional warmth that I couldn’t help but feel drawn into the radiant world she describes. I’m especially intrigued by the way Solar Flair seems to balance a vibrant citrus burst with a serene, almost meditative floral heart. The idea of walking through a metaphysical zen garden while enveloped in jasmine sambac and creamy coconut sounds absolutely transportive. I’m also fascinated by the use of a handmade Tahitian vanilla tincture—it feels personal and soulful, not just perfumery by numbers. I live in the USA and would be honored to experience this “celestial experience” for myself.

  • wallygator88 says:

Thanks for the great review Sandi!
Love the beautiful citruses in the opening. They caress the white florals in such a pretty way giving it radiance, making this a soliflore.

    Would love to try this.
