The takeaway for me was the continuing presence of impressively high-quality passionate Female-Owned brands with many focusing specifically on Women’s Wellness, Divinities, Healing and Spirituality. CBD has ceased to be a trend.

The Harper Group with over 20 years of experience distributing significant lifestyle brands, including home fragrances and perfume to discerning retailers always has a large presence, Notable brands showing for the Summer Market were Antica Farmacista, LAFCO, Apotheke, SAINT Candles, Sacred + Divine Candles, and Margot Elena’ Lollia to mention a few.

John Bressler of LAFCO NY

John Bressler, Founder of LAFCO New York, the luxury fragrance and skincare brand introduced me to his latest collection, a series of room mists designed around a patented odor-targeting technology. The active component is a biodegradable fragrance additive that is not designed to mask malodor, but to cancel it out. The active component is partnered with scents of Chamomile Lavender, Fresh Cut Gardenia, Champagne, and more. He developed each scent profile and then reconfigured them molecularly, with support from a proprietary AI, so that positive scents weren’t also canceled out by the technology. John Bressler, always on the cutting edge!

I am impressed at the attention to wellness in fragrance at this event, and how many! Reading through the descriptions, I wish I had been there to experience them all. Hard to say which is most interesting, but I am curious what this “perfect scented candle” is by OLOR, although the new collection by LAFCO and it’s special technology really caught my attention. Thank you for this generous draw. I live in NH, USA.

  • My interest is definitely sparked by the focus several brands mentioned have on helping people find ways to deal with stress. It is a focus that appears to be much needed! And of course, I love a good scented candle.
Thanks to Hernando for his research!

  • If ever Hernando is unable to attend, I call me and I can take on that job!! I’m interested in Antica Farmistica’s new dish soaps, might as well make it a more pleasant job. I want to look into Maison Palo Santo, a YouTuber I watch was recently singing the praises of this wood. Pink Root sounds perfect for me, I’ve let my hair go natural during covid and am loving my grey and curls, but find they need more moisture. I love Roger and Gallet’s motto. My local shop carries this line, I think I will look into it my next visit. Thanks for the informative article. I’ve been much more into self care (as a recent empty nester) and I would love to try these products. Thanks for a chance. USA.

  • Thank you Hernando for this beautiful write-up. Always inspired by the efforts brands are making to become conscious consumers and supporting small businesses. We are honored to be included along with these fine brands. We look forward to growing our Palo Santo community all over the world through the power of Palo Santo and daily rituals.

  • Oh boy! Hernando did a great coverage of NY NOW.
I really wanted to go this year, but I had some familiar Issues and couldn’t go, but I am really sure that next time I will be there.
I love that in the NY NOW one can experience many new trends, many independent fragrance houses and related to them. I love exploring new things and I will surely love going to NY NOW next time.
The new products that I liked the most about this article is Cayla Gray Luxury Perfumes and Candles. I love the concept behind and how she wants to “remind women of the slow intentional journey of a self-care ritual” Just amazing.
I hope I win this giveaway.
    USA here.

  • Shows like NY NOW are interesting because they demonstrate just how much is out there. The scope of products on display is always staggering, as are just those highlighted here. Some tidbits that caught my attention included John Bressler’s use of AI to configure odor-canceling scents and Sunniemade’s sustainability oriented lineup (I’ve been trying to find a really good solid conditioner bar). Thanks for the coverage, Hernando.

    I’m in the midwest, USA.
