In 2014, I had the great honor to interview Patricia de Nicolaï as she celebrated the 25th anniversary of her independent perfumery brand. Today, ÇaFleureBon has the pleasure of announcing the upcoming launch of Eau de Yuzu, the newest addition to the just right for summer’s warm weather EAU FRAICHE collection, which includes the popular and refreshing eau de toilettes (such as L’eau Mixte, Eau d’Eté and L’eau Chic).
In an exclusive for ÇaFleureBon, Mme de Nicolaï reveals that the first time she used yuzu essence was in Baïkal Leather, the house’s 30th anniversary fragrance in 2019. ”I am often inspired by the opening of fragrances like I did with the pear start I am often inspired by the opening of fragrances like I did with the pear start that gave me the idea for Angelys Pear. Yuzu is a very interesting Asian fruit which smells like a juicy cocktail of lemon, orange and grapefruit on which one added some spices and other exotic fruits. I am so excited about this fragrance!”- Patricia de Nicolaï.
“Eau de Yuzu is a marvelous stroll in sophisticated Japanese gardens. A woody accord with a background of patchouli, guaiac and vetiver shapes the composition and retains the volatility of the citrus notes for a fresh and strong trail”.
*Parfums de Nicolaï Eau de Yuzu was planned to be introduced at Esxence, which has been postponed until February 11, 2021
Pricing: 30ml (42 EUR – 48 $) and 100 ml (126 EUR – 144 $). Launching in Paris, June 8, 2020, at their boutiques, which reopened May 11, 2020 and online.
