New Fragrance: Guerlain Mon Précieux Nectar Eau De Parfum

In 2009 Guerlain created a perfume fountain, the Fontaine Imperiale.  Guerlain composed a perfume called Mon Précieux Nectar which sold in a baccarat crystal urn for $9,0000. Highly exclusive, just 35 pieces were created for the whole world.

Now, In House Perfumer, Thierry Wasser has reworked the original limited edition into an Eau De Parfum that will join the La Parisiennes collection which are housed in the beautiful bee bottle flacons (there has been discussion that it is an "extrait" in the blogosphere, but according to the official press release it is an Eau de Parfum).

Notes: petit grain, bitter almond powder, orange blossom, jasmine, sandalwood, gaiac wood, vanilla, white musk and incense

270ml/ 125ml Eau de Parfum and will be on sale at any Guerlain Boutique in June, but  the 125 ML size is  already available at Saks  and Bergdorf Goodman in the USA and sells for $270

  • I guess the “very exclusive” idea didn’t work and decided to share it with us the common mortals…..

  • It’s probably still pretty exclusive at $270 per bottle. I try NOT to smell things over a certain price level, and that is certainly there.

But if I won the lottery, I think I’d explore all those beautiful Guerlain Bee Bottles. Soooo pretty, aren’t they? I already love Chanel, so I’m worried to start loving a big brand with a long vintage history.

  • Nowhere on the bottle does it say edp. The label reads ‘parfum’, no need for discussion 😉 I haven’t compared it to the 2009 version, yet
