Navitus Parfums Peach Aurum (Bertrand Duchaufour and Vincent Ricord) 2024 + Grownup Gourmand Giveaway

Navitus Parfums Peach Aurum Extrait de Parfum

When it comes to peach fragrances, I’ll admit—I’ve smelled my fair share, but only a handful have truly sparked my curiosity enough to write about. I wasn’t looking for another jammy, caramel-drenched peach teetering on the edge of a sugar overload. Nor did I want an artificial, plasticky peach that dries down into a shampoo-like blur. What I craved was something more—a sophisticated, non-literal take on the idea of peach cobbler. A mood rather than a predictable, one-note replica. An olfactory experience that unfolds beyond expectations.

And that’s exactly what Bertrand Duchaufour and Vincent Ricord, with creative direction from Sharida, have delivered with Navitus Parfums Peach Aurum—a fragrance that feels like a moment suspended in time.

From the entire Navitus collection, Peach Aurum stands out as one of my favorites. Why? Because it’s comforting, alluring, and enveloping—a scent that pulls you into its world and makes you want to stay. The peach accord is present but never overpowering, playing in harmony with the other elements rather than demanding center stage. This isn’t a fruity sugar bomb; it’s a grown-up gourmand—thoughtfully composed, indulgent, yet refined.

I’ve grown weary of the synthetic, candy-coated perfumes that have dominated shelves in recent years—an easy win for younger consumers still exploring their olfactory preferences. Let’s be honest: one day, they’ll move beyond the marshmallow-sweet trend and discover the depth, nuance, and artistry that fragrance has to offer. And when they do, compositions like Peach Aurum will be waiting. Yes, there’s sweetness here—but it’s not the kind that drowns out the rest. It’s a supporting note, not the star. It blends seamlessly, enhancing rather than overpowering, creating an experience that’s rich, textured, and deeply satisfying.

If I were to paint a scene for Peach Aurum, it would be this: You’re in your favorite neighborhood café, where every detail is warm, familiar, and comforting. The waiter doesn’t need to ask what you want—they know. A flaky peach puff pastry appears before you, served alongside a glass of amaretto, its creamy depth swirling with every sip. A whisper of cinnamon in the pastry dough is just enough to tingle the senses without taking over. The air is warm, the moment unrushed—just pure comfort, wrapped in scent.

Navitus Peach Aurum Extrait de Parfum is nostalgia, indulgence, and the simple pleasure of feeling at home in a scent.

Notes: Amaretto, Peach, Turkish Rose; Puff Pastry, Condensed Milk, Cinnamon; Oak Leaves, Musk, and Sugar.

The bottle of Navitus Parfums Peach Aurum Extrait de Parfum was kindly gifted to me but opinions are always my own.

  • Parfums Peach Aurum stands apart from the synthetic, candy-like scents that have dominated the market for a while. This scent has sweetness and depth, it also showcases the artistry of perfumery– a grown-up gourmand that is well composed as well as being indulgent. It is a peach gourmand done right. Although Ambrosia Imperiale is my top scent from the brand, this scent sounds divine.

  • Peach is such a fascinating note in perfumery. I have a few peach fragrances that I love. I love the image of sitting in the cafe and having a delicious warm peach pastry being served to you. That description is wonderful and helped bring this fragrance to life for me.

  • Kensolfactoryodyssey says:

I find that as the arrival states most gourmands tend to be artificially sweet. To encounter an adult gourmand that has sweet yet an intricate scent profile sounds divine. Ca, USA here

  • Well I am game to try this. I’m not a big gourmand person but every once in a while I’m swayed! I do think an amaretto note would be lovely. I am located in the U.S.

  • This sounds wonderful: peach playing the supporting role in harmony with other notes. Would love to try Navitus!
    Ca, USA

  • I love the smell of a fresh peach, but cannot find a fragrance that duplicates it without being too sweet or too generic. This fragrance sounds like it might be ‘the one’! Melissa Kentucky USA

  • Yesss, I would love to win a bottle of one of my favorite perfumers like Bertrand Duchaufour. Peach isn’t my favorite note in perfume but because it was created by Bertrand Duchaufour I am eager to try.

    Thank you

  • I can’t believe the coincidence, but Olya has just described exactly what I have been looking for.
Peach is everywhere in fragrance right now, but thus far in my peach sampling journey, every one I have tried has been too fluffy, too sticky, too sweet, or otherwise just too too much for me!
I haven’t tried Peach Aurum, and whether I am the fortunate one in this draw or not, it’s now at the top of my sampling list. The presence of both rose and cinnamon is a bonus.

I remain in the welcoming city of Chicago, IL, USA.

  • Peach is such an interesting note to me. Real peaches are some of my favorite things in the world (especially when they’re in season), and I love how peach has taken on a life of its own recently as a main note in many fragrances. I’ve never tried Peach Aurum but I hope the peach/puff pastry combination smells like my grandmother’s Arkansas peach pie!

  • I too am weary of the super sweet things on the market today. I haven’t found a good fruit scent without an overwhelming sugary element that takes it into fragrance-for-making-candles territory. Peach Arum sounds like the antidote to the sugary glut! An adult fruit, sweet yet refined? Yup, sounds like a wonderful achievement! I have yet to sample a Navitus fragrance.

  • AromaDulce73 says:

Amaretto and Cinnamon in a fragrance, yes please. I like that Olya said that this fragrance is a grown-up gourmand—thoughtfully composed, indulgent, yet refined. It’s easy to think of peach in a fragrance as young and even smelling like shower gel. Doesn’t seem to be the case with Peach Aurum.

  • Eris.can.swatch.kaos says:

I am not normally a peach kind of gal when it comes to fragrance, however this one might make me change my mind. The combination of notes here really are dreamy and are something I want to experience and adore. Olya described the comfort that is portrayed by this scent and the inclusion of condensed milk could be very comforting.
My favorite Navitus would likely be Lost In A Dream.
    I live in Oregon.

  • I am a fan of peach fragrances but also have lost interest in “synthetic candy-coated perfumes”. This sounds like a beautifully crafted fragrance. The description of a grown up refined gourmand sounds perfect to me. USA

  • Olya, this review is so beautifully evocative! I love the sensory experience you’ve offered rather than just listing notes. The peach that is present but never overwhelming, and the sweetness that enhances rather than dominates sound lovely! It sounds warm, familiar, and tactile– a flaky peach puff pastry with amaretto and a whisper of cinnamon– how textured! I’d love to smell this as peach is easily my favorite fruit note– from NC, USA.

  • Finally! I stand with Olya on getting sick and weary of all the overly sweet gourmands that has dominated the shelves. I foresee this as an easy-going, none attention-grabbing scent that will be perfect for my age demographic – the 40’s.
My favorite Navitus is Lost in A Dream, created by master perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour with creative direction by one of my favorite scent vloggers, Paulina Schar.
    I’m in California, USA.

  • Olya, this was a BEAUTIFUL review!!! That last paragraph created such a wistful image! This sounds like a lovely fragrance. ” the simple pleasure of feeling at home in a scent.” really invokes the feeling of comfort and coziness. I’ve only ever purchased a few of the men’s fragrances for my boyfriend – I love the quality of their perfumes. I’d be so thrilled to add this to my own personal collection.
    I live in the USA.

  • Ramses Perez says:

Peach was truly having a moment the last few years and the craze doesn’t seem to slow down. Yes, most of the peach offerings we’ve seen have been on the sugary and overly sweet aspect but Peach Autumn like Olya said had that extra mature touch. There are hints of sweetness but not in an overpowering way but a supporting accord. The overall feeling seems to be more of a peach dessert mixed with a coffee or a supporting drink that borders on the milky side. I need to try this because every Navitus scent I’ve put my nose on, I’ve loved. Soon enough we’ll have every fruit and feeling in a Navitus bottle. I’m located in the USA.

  • I enjoyed how Olya’s descriptive language really set the scene for this perfume. The collage is lovely also and made me hungry! I agree with her tastes – I not a fan of candied peach perfumes and prefer richer peach scents with nuance and depth.

Peach is one of my note quests. I’m hunting for the perfect ripe peach scent but also I love peach cobbler and spice scents, peach and tea, or peach used in novel ways. The pairing of amaretto and peach sounds like it would work well.

I’m in the US, please enter me for the draw

  • I have yet to try Navitas but Duchaufiur didn’t agree winner. I am excitednto try thebpeach and cinnamin combo. I appreciate hearing that Plya doesn’t find it artificial. Sounds like a must sample. I live in the US

  • I love peach as a note, but like Olya Bar, I’m often disappointed with the perfumed result. (Same holds true for strawberry). This sounds good to me because it is a blend. I see a rose note there, and I do think rose and peach enhance each other beautifully. Thank you for the draw and the review.

  • That collage is making me hungry! I agree with Olya about wanting a fragrance with these fruity notes that isn’t quite so sweet. I love a good gourmand, but one that’s interesting and thoughtful. That puff pastry description sounds so good! I have yet to try anything from Navitus, though I will say that my favorite not-super-sweet peach fragrance is La Reine des Fleurs by DSH. I am from New England, USA.

  • The olfactory equivalent of the abstract idea of a peach cobbler sounds like a fascinating staring point for a gourmand. I’m gratified to read that this fragrance focuses on realistic peach and pastry notes and not the adolescent sugary version of a vanilla cake scent that seems to be prevalent today. Favorite Navitus is Reve Nuit. MD, USA

  • How odd. Another person has put my comment through AI and reposted it.
Does this happen often? It’s disconcerting.

  • One of my favorites from Navitus is Lost in a Dream, also by Bertrand Duchaufour. Peach is one of the fruity notes that I am always drawn to—I know Duchaufour would do it so well!

  • I love that Olya has described this as a grown-up gourmand. Her cafe description sounds divine and has me questioning why I haven’t sampled this fragrance yet.

  • Sherin Thomas says:

I love peaches in all forms , so juicy yet moist, always crave for attention. I love to get my nose on to this and enjoy the yummy creamy goodness, so mouth watering . From PA, USA

  • Love Olya’s review. This sounds like a grown up gourmand something I look forward to. Peach fragrances are perfect for Springtime. Thank you for this chance USA

  • thatgirl_kim__ says:

I really enjoyed the vivid details of Olya’s review and the scene she painted for Peach Autumn as having a tasty baked good with a warm delicious drink is one of my absolute favorite things to do. I have not tried any perfumes from Navitus Parfums so I can’t say I have a favorite but I hope to try a few from the brand in the near future.
    Miami,FL

  • Navitus Parfums Peach Aurum sounds wearable in a way many gourmands aren’t, pulling back on the sweetness enough to not overwhelm or cover up the nuance of the fragrance. The lactonic and boozy aspects are welcome texture and support the theme. I’m also intrigued by a big peach note that’s neither overly literal or synthetic-smelling.

I’m in the USA. I haven’t tried any Navitus Paarfums fragrances yet.

  • I’m in the USA and I haven’t tried anything from this brand yet. I do love cinnamon in fragrance and this sounds delicious. Puff pastry would be a new fragrance experience for me that I’m curious about!

  • Navitus Peach Aurum sounds like a delicious but refreshing take on a peach fragrance. Like Olya, I’ve smelled my fair share of peach fragrances and would appreciate something new. I am so glad to read that Peach Aurum is not cloying or overly sweet. I especially love Olya’s scene she painted for us. “The air is warm, the moment unrushed—just pure comfort, wrapped in scent,” makes me want to try this fragrance even more.

I really enjoy Empyreal, as it smells like a grown-up chocolate orange. I also enjoy Reve Nuit, which is a refreshing unisex fragrance that’s perfect for spring and summer.

Thank you, Olya, for the great review, and thank you to Navitus Parfums for the giveaway. I am located in the USA.

  • foreverscents says:

I agree with Olya about growing weary of the synthetically sweet offerings on the fragrance scene these days. It is wonderful that with Peach Aurum we have a fragrance for grownups. I like that the peach note is not overpowering, that it is harmonious with the other notes. I loved the scene Olya painted with her beautiful prose. I can see myself in the café, enjoying a peach puff pastry with a glass of amaretto.

  • roxhas1cat says:

Yes….a grown up gourmand. I am tired of everything being too sweet. I like that the sweetness is supporting, not the main part of the fragrance. Bertrand is one of my favorite perfumers, I’m sure this is amazing. I have only smelled on Navitus fragrance on a paper, Ambrosia Imperiale. thanks for the chance. USA.

  • FragranceIsMe says:

I’d like to think of myself as a “Grown Up” and I do love gourmand fragrances. Sounds like this could be a match made in heaven for me 🙂

  • I have quite a few navitus perfumes penned by Bertrand D. I haven’t found a peach scent that I get on with and strongly dislike Tom Ford Bitter Peach. Sign me up for this I would love to try. In USA.

  • Jenna Park says:

I I absolutely adore Baklava Royale. I wore it to a party last night and was asked 3 times what it was. I am so excited to try this. Amaretto, peach, Turkish rose sounds absolutely breathtaking. I am so glad Navitus came out with this.
